"jacory Harris - 4-for-12, 38 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT"

What ta

I heard the D dominated this one.

Some questions:
Is Harris still hurt, look like he will not be a 100% for the season opener?
Ojomo, is he hurt? He hasn't made a tackle in the past 2 scrimmages.
Bailey, no tackles in this scrimmage only 2 last week.

All a little scary. These 3 are our best of the best!

they sat out bailey and ojomo

Not sure how psyched I am about Miller's 83 yard TD. I guess I've always been a fan of defensive football, and this team goes nowhere unless we get back to DEFENSE. Big plays were a problem last year. Spiller's runs in the Clemson game, Clay's runs in the Wisconsin game, Ryan Williams in the VA Tech game. Let's make teams work for their points and let's keep those points to FG's.

I like our potential on D. Good depth, size, and athleticism on the D-Line. Underrated LB core and I really like the secondary. I think Harris and DVD can be as good of a CB duo at least in the ACC (maybe the country). We need to see Ray Ray and Vaughn's potential become production. Let's go CANES!!! Sept 2nd can't come soon enough.

This Defense is going to rip shyt up. That's all that can be said. Our offense will be good but our Defense is going to be very tough to score against. I was expecting a top 10 defense and that's what it's going to be.

No need to get alarmed CaneFans about J12's stats. I was there. This is what happened: If it wasn't there, J12 threw it away. Peeps this: No Ints!!!!

Our D is NASTY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hard to tell what we have until we play Ohio State. my pov is that the O will be there - will the D. 80+ yard runs? really? We need the D to be back playing Miami football and it starts up front. I'm cautiously optimistic. We should be much better - time to do it - This Year! go Canes

GOT MY TIC'S!!! Can't wait to see them unleash (sportsman like) hell on FAMU.

Don't beleive the stats the #'s dont match up. 12 completions and 9 receptions???

Sounds like to me that Harris and the offense still can not play well in the rain. Lets prey for clear skies on all game days this season.

I'm more worried about the O than the D.

Whipple loves to pass, and Jacory loves to force throws. If he doesn't get over that we could be in trouble at OSU. We need to run more than we did last year.

WHY DOES ANYBODY BOTHER INTERVIEWING SHANNON? HE NEVER SAYS ANYTHING OF VALUE- HE ALWAYS CONCEALS INFORMATION WITH SILLY "STANDARD"RESPONSES SUCH AS " WE JUST WANT THEM TO EXECUTE" "WE JUST WANT THEM TO COMPETE". BLAH B;AH BLAH. WASTE OF TIME.

Not sure how impressed I am with theses stats. Just as good as Storm and Lamar are, we will be facing the dual threat at VT, Pryor at OSU, and a lot of good rbs. J12's stats were also not impressive. 4 for 12? Are you serious?

Plus there were 2 fumbles. Did Charlie Jones get back on the roster?

Who fumbled?

The only thing I like, and I wonder, hmmmmm. The back up QBs are getting lots of reps. Could it be thatJ12 isnt 100%? Those stats make sense if he isnt fullyhealed. If J12 isnt 100%, we can all forget any talk of a NC or ACC ch and again look at 9-4. We need a full on QB.

These long runs are nice, but it seems like the D gives one up every scrimmage.... kind of concerning don't you think?

Well Jacory Was 6-10 And 8-12 In The First 2 Scrimmages With Over 100 Yards Passing In Each, So It Hasnt Been All Bad. Plus UM Controls Everything That Comes Out, And So They Show What THEY Want. These Things Can Kinda Show Us Whose Playing Well And All But The Only Time Well Really Know Is On September 2nd.

Jacory isn't going to thrown 60% when it's pouring. This is when we want the running game to step up and it looks like it has been.

You might want to slither back over to Jo's blog dipshyt, cuz last I looked you were getting abused over there. It's definitely nothing you want the wife and kids to see.

DON'T BE MISLEAD BY THE STATISTICS IN REGARDS TO THE OFFENSE OR THE DEFENSE. YOU MAY VERY WELL BE LOOKING AT THE BEST OFFENSE AND DEFENSE GOING UP AGAINST EACH OTHER. DON'T WORRY ABOUT ICE. THIS YOUNG MAN KNOWS HOW TO PASS THE BALL, WHEN IT'S SHOW TIME, IT'LL BE GO TIME. GO CANES GO. PSALMS 15

PS: USUALLY MOST CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS HAVE A KICKER LIKE BOSHER. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOUNG MAN. MANY CHAMPIONSHIPS HAVE BEEN WON OR LOST ON A FIELD GOAL OR ON FIELD POSITION . PSALMS 121

I believe Chicken Little must be a blogger in disguise on here.

The Sky is not falling, folks.

Bailey needs to be playing D. tackle plain and simple. There are not to many D.E's playing at 290lb's, these days. I worry about our pass rush, which was anemic last year.

If anyone caught the ACC season preview last night they saw that the "U" were picked to win the ACC. Not just the Coastal Division. In the opinion of the so called experts on the show, "Miami is the most talented team in the whole ACC". I too agree with that statement. The question still remains if the "U" can put all those pieces together as a unit during a long tough season. Scrimmages don't mean much but I will agree that during Miami's heyday the scrimmages were mostly dominated by the defense. We as fans will not know what type of team the "U" truly has until 9/11/10. GOOO! CANES!

no matter how good the d is .. our running backs will bust one on any one .. we have break away backs no d can stop that. The passing stats shows we have a pash rush now... and our o line wiht the switches havnt jelled yet but they will hold their own against anyone elses d line ... no one in the country has our d line ,.. and i been knew andrew smith was a beast look at his sack numbers in h.s. what took the coaching staff so long.

I'm sure Shannon is resting certain players...of course were not going to get ALL the stats...I like hearing about Ray Ray having a good scrimmage....I think him and Vaughn need to wreck havoc this year...

The FAMU game will be the "real scrimmage"! Take a chill pill people, this team is loaded and the talent will always rise to the top.

Why does it seem like we are consistently getting punts blocked? This is something that should not be happening but continues nonetheless. Just block for 2 seconds.

Beamer Ball

I rUled da U.

Lamar runs for 83 on one play and ends up with 85 on 9 carries ??? 8 carries and 2 yards....Que paso?

Hey stop blaming the defense. Let's not take anything away from Miller. He was recruited because of his ability to spot a hole in the defense and get thru it with the quickness. Relax, it's Miller Time!

think this is year. Unlike last year where we thought it was the year but this year seems like it. I think we will go undefeated through week 1 then we will see how the year goes. Maybe next year will our year?

Get off of our GAYTURD! The Canes will rip it up this year.

The blog i meant. The stats will be the GAYTURDS offensive output this year.

READY, SET, DOMINATE!!!

heres my problem, is anyone else upset that are players are not only progressing, they are degressing (is that a word? lol). jacory harris 4-12? really? remember his freshman year? sean spence frshman year? travis benjamins? aldarius johnson? cooper? my point is, it is a big deal they are going the wrong way, in the college game thats qhat its all about, growth and knowledge.

also, streeter needs in the game, this is getting ridiculous.
and im much more impressed with damien berrys game than millers. 8 rushes for two yards besides the breakthrough run.
i live in columbus oh half the year, but i have always loved my canes. the champ gamw against the buckeyes killed me, not just because im from there but because buckeye fans are the most annoyingnbunch of rednecks in the world. they make gator fans look like angels. i have waited for this game for three years, ever since i saw it scheduled.
this is the year. we play and coach to
our potential, we cant lose.
