Kylan Robinson or Ramon Buchanon....I guess that means they're interchangeable or that one isn't a clear-cut starter over the other? hmmm, seems to be like Shannon is hedging a bit.

Hey look where could I found the dept chart. And why aren't they, at least, including Storm Johnson in the three back rotation. This process I don't understand. Storm Johnson is a play maker and he is one of the best (young) backs (RB: Healthy Frank Gore, Clinton Portis, EJ etc) we have come through the University of Miami. Storm Johnson needs more reps, especially with the first team. He is the most explosive RB we have, than Miller and so on.... fill in the Blanks cause this does not make sense. The best player must play. Jacory needs the pressure to be less and Storm Johnson provides that, but who am I. They (Shannon and Staff) definitely is not going to listen to me, a fan. So Miami Herald go to work produce this article and increase Storm Johnson chances of having more playing time, at RB, with articles about him. Go U.

WHY IS ANDREW SMITH NOW AT 3RD STRING ???????? HES HAD MORE SACKS THAN EVERY ONE ...KENDAL THOMPKINS ???? THIS IS ANOTHER CASE OF MIAMI NOT KNOWING WHO TO PUT ON THE FIELD . I HOPE THIS IS TO SHOW OHIO STATE REALLY OUR SECOND STRING...AND THEN WHEN WE PLAY THEY ARE PREPARED FOR SOME ENTIRELY DIFFERENT ROSTER? BUT IF THATS THE CASE THEN SO MUCH FOR TAKING IT GAME BY GAME THEY ARE ALREADY LOOKING AHEAD TO OHIO STATE.

^^^^Dude relax...GENIOUS....He is listed on the injury report..so that's WHY! Otherwise we are stacked at DE, the best players will play!

By the way guys, the depth chart will change for OSU

C A N E S

lol^^^GENIUS^^^Fired up for football!!

I expect there to be changes for OSU, lets go CANES!!!!!!!

Some fans crack me up.

We have no clue what's been going on in practice, but the coaches have said all along the best 3 lb's will play. I love when fans have ignorant whiny theories that coaches have favorites.

Anyone notice the 1st punt returner???? Coop. yeah Shannon's got something up his sleve. Which is good. Save it for 9-11. Lets go Canes

Got my tics . I am counting the seconds. I know it's only FAMU ,but it's a game . I hope some fans show up this year. Last year FAMU fans out numbered us. Shannon is just felling things out (and being a little deceptive) but the chart will be different come Sept. 11th .

Death penalty

Greg,
Correct you should get the Death Penalty you flaming Gaytard.

Thats right old sparky for " greg"

By the way- recall:

Portis
Davenport
Mgahee
Gore
DJ WIlliams (was rb in 2000-2001)
Among others

Now its
Berry
James
Miller
Cooper
Johnson

Not even Alabama has this much talent in the back foeld (especially now that Ingram is out for 3 games)

So be happy with the depth. Even Mcgahee had to wait his turn. You learn, you grow, you train, bide your time ( and you dont risk injury) and stay fresh... for when your name is called. redshirt Storm and Eduardo.
Clements

Comparing yourself to the SEC eh? Hunh, did you guys read my article on ESPN.com?

Enjoy!

Some of yah really have no clue...DL depth is interchangeable...so being 3rd string means nothing because he will see plenty of playing time...da U has always rotated their DL

Well said g8rssk

No Storm...what is RS strategy here? Did great in spring and fall....love eduardo but how did he beat out storm?

Now living in Charlotte, at least I get to go to the ACC Championship game this year. I miss the pre-game music. They need to play Hells Bells coming out in the smoke. just the bell ringing.Cause when lighting strikes........ LetsGo Canes..... OOOOOOHHHHHHHH C-A-N-E-S! CANES!!!! I miss you guys down there wish i could be there.

You know that Randy Shannon just want's to put the lesser talented player on the field so the U loses, and he get fired. Pretty shrewd of him to do something like that. His plan to collect unemployment. In all seriousness the coaching staff has seen the players perform in practice, both in the spring, and summer. They know better than any of us who should play, and what the the depth chart should be. So everyone calm down, Randy wants to keep his job, and he'll put the player he thinks perform that best on the field, whether we like it or not.

I dont want to see slow backs like Javaris James who broke against Oklahoma and got caught from behind. We are UM and we are based on speed which kills and Mike James needs to be moved to fullback and catch passes out of the backfield. Miller has Willis McGahee breakaway speed and is faster than McGahee and should start or at least be 2nd string and average 15 carries a game. Hope Shannon is playing with this Depth Chart on offense and it sounded like Storm Johnson would at least be 3rd string because he was terring stuff up. We cant play the FAVORITE game at UM any more! Hopefully the best players will play because Shannon job is on the line and we should be in the National Championship game this year for sure with all the talent and experience we have. Thompkins will lead this team in TD receptions this year from the slot. Kid is a burner and should have played the slot last year...

Does anyone see this omission of Storm Johnson as hometown cooking? Why not even special teams? The kid is a beast!I certainly don't take anything away from anyone else but if Miami wants to win, you have to put the best on the field. Hasn't this kids performance shown he's the best? I know I didn't read anyone else's name constantly!

"As for the depth chart, can't say there are any real surprises."

Folks, I am as happy as anyone that Strom Johnson signed with the Canes. He WILL be a force for this team. However, if he has not gotten the blocking schemes down, he can only be in place on running downs. If Manny is not surprised as to why Storm is not in the two-deep rotation when we have a STABLE full of running backs including a healed Cooper, perhaps there is a good reason outside of his running ability.

But I agree with your name, Go Storm Go!

Please filter the inane and offensive comments. They add no value and promote the notion that its ok and even good to act stupidly.

Storm Johnson is not higher on the depth chart because his blocking has not improved enough. On one play he may run for 80 yards for a TD but in the other he may miss a block and get
J. Harris killed. Remember the "U" is loaded at RB but at QB not so much. If one RB goes down the "U" just plugs in another stud. If J. Harris goes down the season is over. Win ACC Coastal Division, Win ACC Title Game, Play in BCS Bowl Game. No Excuses. GOOOO! CANES!

Update on Dyron Dye please? Have not heard anything or missed it.

aatheU...

Everybody always loves the new stud freshman: Play Kyle Wright, play Willie Williams remeber that? Relax and let Randy and his staff do what they do. I'm not comparing Storm to those guys but relax people and enjoy the season it's going to be special!

Intresting......Cooper is not on the injury report and is #1 kick returner????

Manny,

Will you be doing the live chat during game thing again this year starting with the FAMU game?

Oh by the way, what happened to your countdown of the UM players? LOL

Hate the new Nike uniforms....why break tradition, the ones worn in the bowl game were just as bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone think Earl will affect the game tomorrow?

Bob-- I agree those all orange uni's are terrible, although I actually liked the all white ones from last year...

Andrew Smith is hurt with what coach Shannon calls an extremity.

so where is the depth chart?

Ive been watching and working with storm since he was nine and I know what a beast he is at rb and honestly I think that when his number is called that he will have maybe 2 seasons top playing cane football so in my opinion for his well being I hope they redshirt him because with his work ethic he will become one of the best rbs to ever hold the football at miami so the longer you keep his storm brewing the worst the hurricane will get so my hopes is that they redshirt him keep him from being injured and let him develop so that he may go to the nfl and pursue his dream he is a great person and works so hard to be the best he deserves and I hope they help him get there keep your head up storm and keep producing and the world will know your name go canes
