New UM football depth chart for first scrimmage

The new depth chart is out, just in time for Saturday's 10 a.m. scrimmage at Spanish River High School in Boca Raton.

The changes: starting quarterback is Jacory Harris OR Stephen Morris, as opposed to just Harris in the last released depth chart.

> First-team tailback is Mike James OR Storm Johnson OR Lamar Miller, as opposed to just Storm Johnson.

> First-team cornerback is Brandon McGee, as opposed to Thomas Finnie.

> First-team right defensive tackle is Micanor Regis, as opposed to Curtis Porter.

> First-team right defensive end is Olivier Vernon, as opposed to Adewale Ojomo.

Some "ors'' in the second-team department are Tyrone Cornileus OR A.J. Highsmith battling for second-team strong safety; Keion Payne OR Eduardo Clements battling for second-team left cornerback; Thomas Finnie OR Lee Chambers battling for second-team right cornerback.

Also, Malcolm Bunche is still listed as a co-starter with Seantrel Henderson; and Harland Gunn and Brandon Linder are battling for first-team left guard.

It seems like more Canes are wearing the red jerseys every day. Add tailback Lamar Miller to the list on Thursday. OLJoel Figueroa, DE Dyron Dye, TE Andrew Tallman, WR Aldarius Johnson, TE Asante Cleveland, LB C.J. Holton and LB Kelvin Cain were sidelined. DT Marcus Forston also is injured. UM coach Al Golden said he didn't want to release any new information about Forston (knee) until "we feel we have enough information to talk about it and when he's comfortable with his doctors and our trainers. We're just moving forward right now... until we learn more.''

When: Saturday, April 2

Where: Spanish River High School, Jog Road and Yamato Road, Boca Raton

Time: Parking opens at 8 a.m.; Gates open at 8:30 a.m.; Kickoff is at 10 a.m.

Admission: Free

Note: There will be a "coffee with the Canes" session for all Silver Canes donors and levels above that, as well as high school coaches from Palm Beach County, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. For more information, Hurricane Club members can call 305-284-6883.

Golden said there aren't enough healthy bodies to do a full spring-game type scrimmage Saturday, so the Canes will use an "offense vs defense and we'll do multiple situations -- short yardage, backed up, third down. We'll move the ball all over the field and go from there.''

Golden said he's particularly interested in seeing how the quarterbacks perform. All three will share reps, he said.

Nice TRY PIG. Don't you have a life?

The Unaborted Wart can't help himself.

Pig, check the mirror. It isn't a bad dream.

anybody know whats happened to reid?

Feral Cat

all I got to say is Im Dowm

Scrimmage is on Saturday and they post a depth chart on Thursday with a some starting spots still to be decided by Friday's practice.

SUSAN/MANNY- any way you can start throwing the whole charts up on the blog? You got as much space as you need, and after you make the first chart it'll be easy enough to change around every couple weeks. Can't get those anyway else.

Funny how anybody can post a relatively benign comment on here and suddenly they're labeled as a troll.

Thanks for the update Manny/Susan. Can't wait for the season to start. Keep the updates coming about the progress of the team and the scrimmages and practice.

Better to beat each other up now and get it over with than to start the season wimpy.

“It’s not a whole lot of fun, honestly, because you see the guy being booed off the court, which he clearly doesn’t deserve,” Federer said. “I understand the frustration from the people paying a lot of money to come see us play for multiple hours potentially, and then it’s over within 10 minutes.”

How are the RumRunners @ Sundays ?

over/under when U do Boo J-44 ?

12 picks in 5 games ?

U know Gold

Wow, Pig, I didn't know you were that old. I though you were a young Unaborted Wart but now it is clear you are probably in your 40's.

What....a......loser. At some point, Wart, you may want to clean it up a bit. An obese slob like you probably has another 10-15 years of life so you don't want to waste it sitting at a computer.

Check the mirror. It isn't a lie.

No doubt this is a Gatard trash family:

Deputies: Pasco man sold parents' mobile home for $100

A 25-year-old man sold his parents' mobile home for $100 while they were gone, Pasco County deputies said.

Christopher C. Wilson, of 18042 Oaklawn Drive, was arrested Monday and remained in the Land O' Lakes Jail today with bail set at $2,000.

Authorities said Wilson told the buyer the 1978 double-wide mobile home belonged to him. Sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said Wilson and his parents lived in the mobile home.

The sale was completed Jan. 15, an arrest report states.

The home was valued at more than $1,000, the report states. Computers, a boat, jewelry, tools, an air compressor, a microwave oven and a digital camera were also stolen from the mobile home, Doll said.

The investigation continues.

Hahahahaha - "Historic 2010"!!!!!!

Nobody here is interested in community college achievements or pizza bowl glories numbnuts.

More liquid crack for fans here. The only thing I am waiting for is Labor Day Night, Then we will see how everyone really did in the office season.

Coach Golden is a Master Salesman, take a lot of what he says from now to Labor Day night with a few large grains of salt.

These guys have to get healthy and stay healthy. Go Canes!

Is Jamal Reid going to be in the mix at all in the secondary

I don't think violence is the answer but I like your gumption. What we need to do is rally at the spring games - whose going?

Posted by: Feral Cat | March 31, 2011 at 05:26 PM

whose going ?

not U and about 1,500 nimrods ...

Spanish River High School huh ?

yUp, Ur back ...

Pig, you old twisted fruit. You are out of material.

Booooooring. One of 6 posts just recycled over and over. The blubber cells have win the battle for your douchebag brain.

The University of Miami hasn't won anything in a decade and we still have fans from other teams obsessing over the University of Miami and researching which high schools the University of Miami scrimmages at.

Back? We never left.
