UM announces addition of DT Corey King

Defensive tackle Corey King, a graduate of West Boca Raton Community High School, has officially signed on to play football for the Hurricanes. King, who has four years of eligibility remaining, will join the team when camp begins in August.

“Corey King is a great addition to our already deep class,” defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio said in a statement released by the school. “He has tremendous strength and athletic ability. He is weight-room strong, benching 400 pounds.”

As a senior at West Boca Raton in 2010, King recorded 56 tackles, seven sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception. He was selected to the National team at the Outback Bowl – the annual South Florida high school football all-star game.

The announcement of King’s signing comes a little over a week since it was announced that quarterback Ryan Williams, who led Miramar to the Class 6A state title in 2009, was transferring to Miami from the University of Memphis. Williams and King mark the 17th and 18th members of the 2011 signing class, after 16 newcomers signed on National Signing Day.

> Here are King's 2010 highlights. By the way, I'm working on my own mixtape of video highlights. In fact, everyone should have one.

What a shame, man-boobies. Join your fellow Rapture inbred freaks. After your shift at Costco, Fatboy.

Never seen one person dominate stupid and slob like you, Pig.

Loser Pig, don't forget your appearance at Ramrod, you fat fruit.

Someone is a little to familiar with gay bars.

canesrule 21,

Dare I say canesrule isn't a real person, it's the troll?

The Pig luvs da KAK. He's a fat hairy troll.

Hey, pig, hard to imagine why you're still a virgin.

What woman wouldn't want a stupid slob?

dudes who hate...watch the tape of this guy DUMBASSES....he looks good and to the UFag who keeps coming on here...Go eat a GRAND SLAM w Weiss at the Fat Farm....

Pathetic Pig is now posting as yours truly again. Like Manny says, this guy changes I.P. addresses the way most people change underwear, except in his case he doesn't change underwear because pigs can't fit into them can they?

Big Al Golden does it again. In head to head competition with some of the best schools around the country, and also from the 7 and 5 Florida Fightin’ Gaturds, he gets another commit, this one for the class of 2013, from Orlando, part of the State of Miami. In all its glory, all rights reserved, from your voice for Hurricane athletics, Canesport, courtesy of the Ferminator…

When Class of 2013 Orlando (FL) Jones High School athlete Levonte “Kermit” Whitfield first arrived in high school, he told his high school coach “Miami, that’s where I want to go.”

That coach? Former Cane Kenard Lang.

“I told him that `All you have to have is football skills and grades,’” said Lang, in his fourth year coaching Jones High. “He got those, got in contact with Miami and they extended the offer.”

UM’s offer came in today, and Whitfield committed on the spot with a phone call to Al Golden. He is the team’s first 2013 commitment.

The offer was far from Whitfield’s first, though. As Lang puts it, “He had early offers from all the BCS schools.”

Some of the other offers he was considering strongly before UM came along: LSU, Ohio State, Florida and Tennessee.

“When Miami extended the offer his eyes got big, he said, `Yes `sir, yes sir, I’ll take it,’” Lang said. “Kermit is a die-hard UM fan ever since growing up. Every time he got one of those other offers it was `Okay, whatever.’ He was waiting for Miami.”

So now a past Cane has helped create a future Cane.

Golden is locking up the State of Miami. And I don't mean the way Gainesville's finest had to lock up 35 players on Trailertrashtown USA's football team.
Way to go Al.
