What a waste of time. Write something about the upcoming game. Miami Herald coverage of UM sports is horrible!!!

You will usually have more penalties on the road, especially on offense due to crowd noise and having false starts.

Damn imagine if just 25% of those penalties were erased from history. That's at least 1 game in our pocket instead of someone else's.

I have faith in our boys and we all need to stand by them. Jacory was right about what he said in that article about the fans. He is now doing what we expect of him and we're not giving him his due. He has matured, period. Numbers never lie. Our fan based has also fallen into the "entitlement column" that we so stated against our own players. Our stadium is empty, literally empty at times. I'm in section 122 row 23 and it's a joke to look out into the stands and see huge gaps where the fan base should be. I know it's not the OB, that's an obvious statement, but this is our town, team, colors. We as a fan base need to open our eyes the way we want our players to open their eyes and see what's happening around us. The team is and has been improving day by day. Have we as fans? The answer is simply NO we haven't in any way. We need to come together the way we are witnessing our team come together. We need to support our players, our team.

Jacory Harris (who I have said some quite negative things about ie: "ethopian noodle arm" etc) is showing us his maturity and leadership on the field and in the locker room.

Allen Hurns and the rest of the WR corps have cut down on dropped passes by a huge margin and it shows with first downs piling up and points on the board.

Walford is coming through for us as TE on the rise and his stock doesn't look to be stopping anytime soon.

Our OLine has made mistakes but they are improving and have shown how the conditioning process has worked to their benefit. Look at what they did to VT in the second half. Those guys were huffing and puffing with hands on their hips for the whole 2nd half of the game.

Our Defense doesn't look good and nobody else's defense would look good either if it had to endure season ending injuries to key players on the line and LB position, suspensions with players coming back at various times of the season, players being moved back and forth again never really grasping the position. Our defense will be ridiculous next year.

C-A-N-E-S CANES ! ! !

Did anyone see where the Secretary of State's office in North Carolina is trying to get the courts to force the NCAA to turn over documents from their investigation of UNC football program. Its about time the NCAA was investigated or made to prove something.

The NCAA should be "watch dogged" from our court system....prevets what we would call a "conflict of interest" should the members of the NCAA be biased towards a school or division....

Ray-Ray is a 1st rounder today regardless.

And Streeter is going high in the draft, watch. Reggie Wayne 2.0.

UM produces draft picks that make you wonder what is happening in Coral Gables.
Hester could/should have been so much better for UM. Shields? Brandon Harris vs. Malcolm Floyd, coaches fault for not preparing Harris for Floyd. Harris is obviously talented enough. poor coaching!!!!

Poor coaching for sure when it came to shields and hester, but ray ray a first rounder, dont think so, he doesnt have the football iq to be a first rounder. The guy has been out of position for three years, and telemaque still cant find the football. Poor coaching, maybe, while shannon was here for sure, but maybe theyre just not as good as they were rated coming in.

It's amazing how poorly coached our players are. Not golden, shannon and co. They alphabet regressed since freshman year. Every. Single. Player. U don't see that ever. But look at it.

Inimounts. Golden said it this week, too many players more worried about their press clippings than the team. How do you say MNW.

George Mira,
You are a MORON! Ray Ray, unless becoming a different player won't sniff the first round. He has done NOTHING on the field in his career and this year is flat out awful.

Streeter a high pick, OMG, you are retarded! Streeter is now BEGINNING to develop. If he declared for the draft he would likely go UNDRAFTED. He needs another year of playing every down and performing to have any chance of an NFL career.

Telemauqe will be lucky to get drafted in the middle rounds. Nice kid, average safety at best.

Hey genius are any of the above players you mentioned All American, All ACC or All anything right now? But miraculously the NFL will draft them all in the first round. You know who is worse than our 2-3 record? MORON fans like you!

George Mira..

All good points but you have to see something clearly though. If Ray Ray thinks he's a first rounder "today" as you put it, he's wrong. He'll get drafted somewhere in the middle of the second or later. That suspension time away from the game play showed against VT. If he was wise, he'll stay another year and so will Vaughn. One more year of experience for the both of them and they will absolutely be in the first round. Both of them are juniors with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Then behind them we have Dallas Crawford, Thurston Armbrister, AJ Highsmith, and Tyrone Cornelious(converted from LB).

Streeter will definitely go high but I don't think he'll leave. I think he has more to prove, IMO. I think he'll be our Leonard Hankerson that will leave us hanging in anticipation until the last minute. That was the best thing that Hankerson did for himself because his stock rose after a great senior season and senior bowl game.

I do agree a million percent on the "poor coaching" point that you made. Shields, B.Harris etc... I personally would have wished that B.Harris stuck around for his last year and we would have had a big time leader for our DB's.

Of course I'm being optimistic but at the same time if it was me, this is the route that I would take. I can't speak for them and neither can anyone else here. I truly believe that in this system that Golden and Co. have installed, all of the above guys will become better players and men at the end of next season. We're seeing it now. The way they fought and didn't give up, even in the end, against VT showed me something. They are buying into the new system big time. They would all be wise, IMO, to return for next season and get more experience under Golden and Co.

AGREED.

I agree with 90% of Geoger Mira...but could it be said that we are creatures of habit, and in tight situations we revert to a comfort zone or level almost on reflex...what Coach G is saying is that we need to learn GOOD HABITS and TECHNIQUE that show up on the practice field but go out the window when the crowds start screaming...USE IT DURING THE GAME..e.g stupid penalities.. We need to stay in lanes and apply the COACHING then..Harris has finally gotten it and our defense is still in the learning process..Coach D said as much..as far as Hester is concerned a majority of his play is God given talent, and speed, you can't coach that, but he could have been utilized a LOT more while being at the "U".

Last year we were 117th in the country in penalties and I believe that latest readings areat 83rd in the country. An improvement but there is still tons of room for more improvement.

This isn't the '91 team that took out texas in the cotton bowl with other 200yds of penalties. Honestly I don't care what anyone tells me about this but here it goes...That was one of the funnest games to watch ever next to the 2001 game against nebraska when Andre Johnson left that CB in the dust and scored all alone. Then Vilma sent to people to the bench with concussions. Amazing.

Golden is turning things around and it can be seen in every game. Inching closer and closer to where we should be. We all have to realize how deep of a hole we were in and how Golden and Co are digging us out of it. These guys are working and it's paying off. We got 7 games left to prove ourselves and make everyone scared for next year.

Mark May and the rest of espn can suck one. I hope I never see Mark May in Miami. I'll go looking for a place that sells pies that instant. lol

GO U !

Go Canetillidie. The team is improving granted. Harris has had a few good moments. But he has yet to playa full game this year. For that matter I am hard pressed to remember when or if he had played a complete game. The big question is what Harris will show up this week?? We shall see. .

If Ricardo Williams can increase his speed substantially, who would make a great FS.

He's a redshirt freshman

He's 6'5" and 220lbs (came in at 200-210lbs.)

I don't know how fast his 40 time is but on film from the DE position he's quick and he gave Olinemen a lot of trouble during the football camps before he got to The U.

We need to put him on the track team quick. It wouldn't be too much of a adjustment for him since he ran hurdles at Homestead High. Throw on the harness and have him pull a weight sled for the rest of the summer and watch his 40time (whatever it is) drop.

For a comparison only..

Sean Taylor (RIP) was

6'2" 230lbs and ran a 4.51(40) when he got drafted.

Now with Ricardo's physical stats along with a 40time in the range of Sean Taylor's we would have a pretty interesting specimen at FS.

Think about it.

I'm gonna give him my vote of confidence. If he continues on this path, he'll be fine and will lead us on to victory. He's reading and understanding Fisch a lot more than he did Whipple (as can be seen from arguments on the sideline during games).

No one can stop Lamar and James and with that combo Harris can work the pass without stress. Trick plays never hurt either lol.

I'm hoping for the same Harris that we have had for the last 6-7 quarters of play. If we have that Harris out on the field, we win.

Good to hear from you and sorry I've been away.

LETS DO THIS....

LEEEEEERRROOOOYYYYY JENKINNNSSSS !

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

C-A-N-E-S CANES !

Canes WILL finish strong and set up very nice for 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been over on the the other blog. Not as many posers and herald trolls. I will believe in Harris when he plays a full game and is consistent. For a senior he plays at a sophomore or junior level. Don't know if too many strip clubs are his problem or his MNW press clippings. I hope he plays well Saturday.

Who's doing the math here? 12 false starts at 5 yards each is 60 yards; not 70. WTF?

We are the canes
We are loaded with NFL talent
Jacory a first rounder for sure
Al Golden fixed him
Al Golden the best coach in the world
Lets go canes
If you lose again make it pretty

If we can get some guys to emulate Ray Lewis, Sean Taylor(RIP), Jerome Brown, Andre Johnson, Edgerrin James, and Jeff Feagles then we will win the NC next year. I feel Coach Golden is already a twin of Jimmy. Once this NCAA investigation fades away like Cam's investigation, we can focus on dominating the ACC.

Jacory is a first rounder at strip clubs maybe.

Let's hope golden is not even close to jhimmy

If we can get Ray Lewis, Jerome Brown, Andre Johnson, Edgerrin James and Jeff Feagles to come back and play for us next year we will surely win the NC next year. I feel Coach Golden is better than Jimmy's twin, in fact he is the best coach in the history of the NCAA. Once the NCAA investigation fades away maybe we can even bring in Cam Newton to be our QB and we will dominate the ACC for ever.

Posted by: delUsionalcane

You are a sick troll. Jeff Feagles is too old to play.

OK, forget Feagles, bring back Bosher and now we will be unstoppable. Lets go canes!

How can we have 12 false start penalties for 70 yards? Each one costs us five yards, so it should either be 12/60 or 14/70.

Jacory is a first rounder at strip clubs maybe.

Let's hope golden is not even close to jhimmy

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHQAHAHAHA

THAT WAS GOOD.

I can't wait for the Canes to be back at full throttle like the old days. It will be sweet redemption to make Mark Mays eat his words and be forced to respect Miami. He makes me sick to my stomach with his hatred of Miami. This is all about Miami firing a black head coach. If Randy Shannon were white, Mark Mays could care less. Randy had to go. He was not a good head coach but he will always be a Cane to me.

I'm trying to be positive and encouraging towards someone who I have bashed and proved me wrong as of lately. I'm wishing him the best and hope that he continues on this mature path. But you are right ltcdolphin that he does play at a sophomore/junior level. Some players are simply late bloomers. Lets support him and see where it goes.

Before we make any predictions on the future of the "U" lets waite and see how the season plays out and how hard the NCAA hammer falls on the "U". A strong finish coupled with non-crippling sanctions could go a long way in determining the "U"'s future. Let's face it, not many recruits are going to want to come here if the "U" finishes with a poor record and gets nailed by the NCAA with sanctions. All we can do as fans is waite.

Jacorry is the 10th rated passer in the NCAA. Many if not most of us are eating crow. Yet- he is still not a winner. His record as a starter is pathetic. He has huge weapons. But no defense. Agreed. But it's always something. Should he have won against KSU? yes. Should he have scored 30 points and maybe 4 TDS in the 1st half against bethune? yes. Should he have beaten VT? yes. he definitely had a chance. But there are always what ifs and shoulda couldas.

Nonetheless, He is exceeding my expectations, as is Lamar. Mike James has been a big dissapointment. The defense, has made me cry, scream, yell, and cringe.

Ray Ray is not a first round talent. He's actually one of the most overrated players on this team.

--------------------------------------

We'll just see how it goes shall we?

October 23,2010

Mia 33 unc 10

J.Harris - 217yds 3TD 1INT
D.Berry - 19/119yds 1TD
T.Benjamin - 4/67yds 1TD
M.Bosher - 2/2FG's

26 1st downs to unc's 10

Mia 442yds unc 289

UNC is overrated. They have only played 1 true team this year and lost, GT.

Miami's record would look really great also if we played teams like...

James Madison (UNC 42 JM 10)
Rutgers (UNC 24 RU 22)
Virginia (UNC 28 UVA 17)
Georgia Tech#25(GT 35 UNC 28)
East Carolina (UNC 35 UEC 20)
Louisville (UNC 14 UL 7)

By the way Louisville lost to FIU 24-17. So I guess that FIU is 10pts better than UNC then. hmm, interesting.

Miami schedule up until this point has been packed with better teams and most of them we lost simply because we made a mental error. VT rush defense was allowing 58yds a game until they met Lamar Miller who went 18/166yds and 1TD rushing and 1TD receiving. Mary-land won only because we were missing 7 starters. I wanna see UNC win a game while missing 7 starters. In the Kstate game we shot ourselves in the foot at the end of the game, that's it. Ohio state never knew what hit them when they played us.

Now UNC has to deal with not only Travis Benjamin at WR but also Tommy Streeter (fade route) Allen Hurns (Mr.Clutch) and Clive Walford (Golden Hands) at TE. All of that plus Lamar Miller and Mike James. UNC doesn't have the ballsack to stop all of that. Sorry.

You're absolutely delusional and UNC is absolutely OVERRATED!

CANES WILL TAKE IT TO THE TARD HEELS "AGAIN" AND BRING HOME THE "W". THANKS FOR PLAYING.

GO CANES !

Ummmm, duuuuhhhh, I am white Gatr trash. I heard our man Driskel can't play. We are going to get pasted again. We won't win until Furman (Noo, sleeepp, till Furmannnnnnnnnn).

I want to know why Dee Finley transferred. I want to know why there are so many Pentecostal churches in that dump Gainesville.

I wanna know why my UTrailer diploma is worthless. I wanna know why Muschump will be fired next year.

I wanna know why Urban faked a heart attack just so he could take the Penn State job.

I wanna know why the Gatr trash fans are the most disgusting fanbase in all the nation.

What a useless blog entry, I just scrolled all the way to the bottom to post a comment.

UNC's QB #'s are garbage because they all come from garbage teams. Sorry facts are facts.

You have to take into account that Jacory's #'s are missing a game due to suspension. Imagine what his #'s would have been then.

UNC QB Renner
COMP 99
ATT 133
YDS 1305
TD 12
INT 6
SACK 12
COMP% 74.4

Against BS teams..

MIA QB Harris
COMP 62
ATT 92
YDS 837
TD 9
INT 3
SACK 5
COMP% 67.4

While missing 1 game due to suspension and actually playing against better teams.

Plus there's the Rushing Attack. Here's how UNC matches up against The U

Giovani Bernard
rushing..
ATT 103
YDS 657
AVG 6.4
LNG 60
TD 8
receiving..
REC 19
YDS 122
AVG 6.4
LNG 19
TD 0

Lamar Miller
rushing..
ATT 94
YDS 677
AVG 7.2
LNG 59
TD 5
receiving..
REC 9
YDS 35
AVG 3.9
LNG 16
TD 1

Plus I'm not even including Mike James #'s. He's a short yardage get that 1st down guy.

The point here is simple. Our QB and RB have done more against better teams. The number's aren't as high as UNC's but those #'s come from weaker opponents. Especially one that lost to FIU with a higher scoring game.

Give me a break man!!! UNC is stuck on that redneck bathtub moonshine. Hope it taste good because it won't after saturday and your sister cousin needs the shower for her bi-weekly rinse.

Enjoy. And please, don't forget to tip your waitress.

GO CANES !

I wanna know why you are wasting our time trying to start a fight with the trolls. You are just as much of a problem as they are.

CANETILLIDIE you are on the right track..clear concise anaylysis..Logical and good stuff..

delUsionalCane and 10years of Mediocrity and counting, should troll on the Gators or LSU sites.. to get their kicks, that would be fun for them.
The new 'Canes are leaving you both behind..so to quote you 10 years "Let's go 'Canes with the Best Coach in the world." Thank you.
Beat the 'heels.

Canetillidie. Love the post man. Agree with you. Can you imagine harrises numbers if he had actually played all four quarters of the same game, any game??? Unusual concept for him, not for real football players. Did MNW play four quarter games??

Funny: I cannot figure out how Ray Ray was lost on that QB run. The MLB got blocked and caught up; Telemaque was patrolling the field. That is pure poop coaching.

I don't think that UM's players are overrated. There is something called coaching and U do not have it on defense. I don't think the DC has a clue as to how to utilize what's he's got. i have heard people say that on TV.
