UM Canes Ray-Ray Armstrong and Seantrel Henderson are the subject of rumors -- again

A briefing for those of you wondering about the status of University of Miami senior safety Ray-Ray Armstrong and junior offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson:

I had originally heard rumors that Seantrel and Ray-Ray were dismissed from the football team, but those are apparently false. When I called UM to ask about those rumors, I was told by Chris Freet, the UM associate athletic director for communications and marketing, that UM declined to comment on anything regarding that subject and Al Golden was on vacation and could not be reached.

I also reached Ray-Ray Armstrong's dad, Albert, by phone a little while ago, and he told me he knew nothing about any Ray-Ray news.

Here's what InsidetheU is reporting:

"Armstrong discussed interaction with a booster via Twitter and the coaches have suspended him indefinitely, but as of today he has not been removed from the team. However, this situation should be closely monitored as there is current discussion within the coaching staff about his future with the team.

"In regards to Henderson, the players were given time off in between first and second summer sessions, but were expected to be back by Tuesday. Henderson arrived a day later on Wednesday and is currently serving a punishment, but is expected to return to the team in the near future."

Those last two graphs were reported by InsidetheU.com.

After speaking with various sources, and reading the report, it's obvious something is going on with these guys -- the exact extent of which is yet to be revealed by Al Golden (if, indeed, Golden reveals it).

Henderson, listed on the latest roster as 6-8 and 350 pounds, started nine of the 12 games he played in for the Hurricanes as a freshman in 2010. He played in eight games – two of which he started – after recovering from offseason back surgery as a sophomore in 2011.

Henderson, who played in high school at Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minn., was the 2009 USA Today High School Offensive Player of the Year, the only lineman to ever win the award. He was ranked as the No.2 recruit in the nation by Rivals.com.

Henderson was suspended for the first weekend of spring practice in early March, 2012 for violating an undisclosed team policy.  He also was the subject of rumors more than a year ago that referred to him getting in trouble and contemplating transferring.

Armstrong, who ended spring as the top free safety on the final depth chart, played in seven games as a junior in 2011, earning a start against Duke. He finished the season with 34 tackles, an interception and fumble recovery.

Armstrong was a 2011 candidate for several national preseason awards before being suspended by the NCAA for the first four games of 2011. He was suspended for accepting impermissible benefits from former UM booster Nevin Shapiro, whose relationship with the University of Miami is the subject of an ongoing NCAA investigation.

Armstrong also was suspended in November after going to dinner at Prime 112 steakhouse in Miami Beach with a friend who owns a public relations company that works with professional athletes, then tweeting about the dinner. He was later cleared of any wrongdoing in that situation.

In the spring game in April, Armstrong had an interception and a fumble recovery. Many believed he would enter the NFL Draft, but he chose to remain with the Hurricanes.

Rivals.com ranked Armstrong as the nation’s No. 13 player, regardless of position, as a senior in 2008.

I am on vacation and will be back for the ACC Kickoff in North Carolina.

CANETILLIDIE,

Your comments are on the mark. I don't get the Eudo dis at all, but the good thing about this blog is that many of us can disagree and still hold repect for our brethern, while fairly considering their ideas.

You are one of my favorite fans because of your knowledge and passion for the Canes. So keep it rolling, brother. It's a big tent for all those who feel for the Orange and Green, and dream of us returning to the discussion. You know, Coastal champs first, then ACC, then BCS games and then a shot for the NC. It is doable...

With the right players and TEAM dedication, Coach Golden will field a single-minded and strong team that will make us all proud. A centerpiece to his approach is discipline, and that is common to all winners. They ain't sluffing off in Bama, and the business like attitude of our incoming freshmen is a very positive development.

GO CANES!

No, you have questionable reading comprehension but you're a fine fan. As I say, you're still going to go to games and enjoy the individual greatness of some of the tremendous players on UM's team regardless of the wins and losses.

But you do try to hold UM's players to a higher standard than any of the players who won championships before them, this is Miami, not Penn State. We're not winning titles without guys who are a little 'rough around the edges'.

Give me 11 Ray Ray Armstrongs and I'll give you 22 Spencer Whipples and we'll see who's a 'detriment to the team'.

Ray Ray needs to PLAY better - no doubt. But sweating the kid for his freaking twitter account? Or ANYTHING he does off the field?

Get a grip, the kid's 21 years old and in the national spotlight, he doesn't need all this hate from his own 'fans'.

Eudo:
I would like the last word...

In my estimation on your assertion of "Who is the real fan for the 'U'?, I thoroughly agree with Canetillidie.

He is not questioning, but he is equivocal that he is a 'Cane fan, and that entitles him to do and say anything about "HIS" team..
There are no restrictions or covenants on his feelings or actions regarding the U. He is TOTALLY committed to our team.
Your assertion also is with the TYPE of fans that are posting on this article...They are entitled to their opinion whether they are fair weather or rabid, and to
call them out and indirectly the team makes me question how deep your commitment is to the 'U'.
NO one is holding players to a higher standard. The standard is set by all the Coaches and Assitant Coaches and how the "TEAM" comports themselves as a group. Not what we "Think they should do". Multiple offenders are not plusses they are negatives to themselves and the team and Coaches.
Based on your assertion Canetillidie is way more on board than you are.
Team first, the 'U'
Go'Canes

Eudo...

I'm not hating on the kid. I want him to grow up and follow orders. That's what kids are supposed to do, do what they are told. He's doing what he "wants" to do instead of what he "needs" to do. If he did what he "needed" to do, then he would be a better player/teammate/student.

Your words...
"But you do try to hold UM's players to a higher standard than any of the players who won championships before them, this is Miami, not Penn State. We're not winning titles without guys who are a little 'rough around the edges'."

I do not hold Ray Ray or others to a higher standard than previous players. Previous players had their off field issues but they got it done on the field "consistently". Ray Ray has yet to do anything profound other than knocking Demarco Murray from OU on his #$% during his freshman season and now he's a senior. That one hit pretty much sums up his existence at The U besides off field issues. See the difference. He's not getting it done on or off the field. I want him to step up, plain and simple. I want him to be a head hunter. I, personally, love head hunting in football.

Also your words...
"Ray Ray needs to PLAY better - no doubt. But sweating the kid for his freaking twitter account? Or ANYTHING he does off the field?"

If coach gives you an order do you follow it or do what you "want" to do?? If coach tells you to stop talking about "one certain subject" on a stupid twitter account do you stop or keep going? He can talk about ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD but stay away from any discussions that refers to that specific subject. It's like telling a kid not to touch the stove because it's hot and the kid does it anyways.

I'm all for kids that are rough around the edges but if they don't respect their coaches and teammates then there are issues there. Am I asking for much? I don't think so.

You, as a former student of The U, should want someone that does these things, and not go out of their way to bring the school down. You would think that after everything that happened with suspensions at the beginning of last season that he would have learned. That's all I'm saying.

C'mon Ray Ray, get your act together and you COULD be GREAT. I honestly said that when we signed him and I still have faith in him. I'm just upset with him for the time being. Show me, show us, show The U.

GO CANES!!!!

THANKS UGOCANES2

U SEE, WE CAN ALL GET ALONG.

U bleed Orange and Green, I bleed Orange and Green, We all bleed Orange and Green!

ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!!

THANKS DBC, HOPE ALL IS WELL.

BY THE WAY, BUENOS DIAS A TODO.

Get a room fools! And get all your new boyfriends to pony up for that Tropical Park stadium project of yours.
Eudo is right in that Miami "fans" are the worst in the nation. That is a well known fact. Not just UM but Miami in general.
It is telling, all this name calling and fighting betwwen you fools before the season has even started. Can't wait to see all you sissies once the losing resumes.

Make up your mind, gatorspammer, are they getting along too well (get a room) or are they fighting too much?

How about, they are DISCUSSING things, something you have neither the IQ or the ability to handle.

Eudo pointed out things he agrees with in CANETILLIDIE and things he disagrees with, and they are DISCUSSING it.

You on the other hand provide nothing in your own blog (gator clause, which should be called gator pause since it has been paused for months thanks to your trolling) and not with your weak trolling here.

Talk about "Get a room fools!", you HAVE a room, all to yourself, where you can proclaim another undefeated Gator season (How many to they have so far? Zero? Shocking.) and talk about how wonderful your bandwagon fans are. You know, the ones that stuck around while you were contenders but disappear after loss #3 each year.

Poor gatorspammer, your life is spent day and night trying to find a way to make your fake internet rivalry into something meaningful. I guess it lets your sister get some rest....

Five Titles, what's up man?

Nothing much, just recuperating from Independance Day.

Have you read the link in the next thread, the Canes are looking like they are not being the underachievers of the past, and might have some steel in their team this year...

Ya I saw that. Have you seen that pic of the Defense from ITU? Our D will dominate this year and more to come. Pisses me off that the "under achievers" took off to the NFL. Imagine Streeter, Washington, Miller, Forston, Vernon with this team that Golden and Co. have put together...DAMN!!!

Streeter, Carter as the big men at WR along with Hurns, Waters, Dorsett, Lewis, Scott and hopefully Thompkins will make up for the last 3yrs.

Miller, Duke, Clements, James at RB.

OL will be led by BWash with Linder, Henderson, Isidora, Bunche, Feliciano, McDermott, Lewis, Flowers, Gadbois, etc..

Then at DE you would have Chickillo, Vernon, Hamilton, Pierre, McCord...

Also, pending injuries, Marcus Forston could have done something this year as a veteran on the DL and boost his draft status that never came to be.

I realize that this is a wish list that will obviously never come true but I can only imagine what would or could have been.

But that was that and this is now. Golden and Co. have done a job that I doubt anyone would have been able to do regardless of the circumstances. I don't see him going anywhere.

LETS DO THIS!!!2012 BABY!!!

That phony Joe Rose said no better then 6-6. That lunkhead knows NOTHING. I say one loss that sets up nicely to play USC for the NC.

ALL CANES EVERYDAY ALL DAY AND TWICE ON SUNDAY

I'm sure if there was anything to this, some real reporters would have some information for us by now (or even some of the message board posters, who are more knowledgeable and accurate than these hacks). Look at the original title of this post, based on the ITSU article, which is just a couple guys who started a website and are almost always wrong with these types of headlines, but SMD still decided to put the story out there under her name:

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2012/06/breaking-news-um-canes-seantrel-henderson-and-ray-ray-armstrong-dismissed-from-football-team.html

6-6 sounds about right, UM has a new quarterback, and in case anyone forgot, there was only one quarterback in the league who threw more interceptions per attempt than Jacory Harris and that was Stephen Morris.

Good job LOSERTILUDIE you are predicting a 1 loss season and a berth in the NC in early July. The first Moron to do so this year. I know, the Summer is one of the best times to be cane, you can proclaim you have such a loaded team, blah, blah. Come fall reality will hit you right on your ugly face when the losing resumes.
Joe Rose is an unbiased observer with more football knowledge than you and your collection of dUmb cane clowns combined. But it's summertime and you know better. We are back, you Morons proclaim every year for the past 10 years. Same result......U still suck.

Great to see the trolls are keeping the envy and hate fires burning.
As for the Canes season. I will be happy with winning the coastal this year.
I like what I have heard and seen this spring and off season. The team is getting stronger. Has anyone heard if the team reached it's goal of 20 and 10? For the trolls that's 20 guys benching 225lbs 20 reps, and 10 doing 30 reps. Since we had zero do 30 reps last year, and this year the last I heard we had 7. So yes trolls the team is getting stronger.
Canetillidie I just can't see the team in the NC game this year. If they are undefeated after the Notre Dame game I will start believing. Sorry just bought the hype to many years in a row. The team is going to have to show me.
That said I am looking forward to seeing if the team can learn to win the close games this year, and finish the season strong. I believe that the middle of our D-Line. Will be the deciding factor in the season. It would help to get pressure on the QB without having to blitz, and shut down the QB sneaks up the middle that killed us last year.
As always

If don't think they will win NC next year you are no UM fan.

GO CANES EVERYDAY 365 OR 366 IF IT'S A LEAP YEAR

Nice try troll.
I think Canetillidie is more open minded than that.

Keep your little hate filled world turning, and remember.
IT"S GREAT TO BE ANYONE BUT YOU!!!!!!

Got to say, although I am a rabid fan. I too am cautious about this season. Will we get any kind of offense going? Who will QB and who might carry the load at RB? The line continues to be a mystery, with its size and talent and history of underachieving. Will the O turn the ball over?

I believe Morris could be very good, given his arm and quick feet. The knock on the Ints is understandable, but he was a soph, so maybe he will rise to the occasion...

The D could be fierce, and that will keep us in a lot of games. Like to see the DBs grab some Ints for us. We have got to stop zone reads by opposing QBs, and the K State game could be pivotal. To think a Miami D got beat so often on those plays is head spinning!

To me, it is about strength (good news there), passion, ferocity of focus and TEAM dedication. Golden will build that. We are on our way. Let's be in it for the Coastal title, a great first step...

Go Canes!

Thanks canetally. I feel sorry these inbred trailer trash bloggers who don't have a job and who take hard working people's handles. I do think it's going to be a rough year but I am a CANE FAN not matter what. I see a 7-5 season but we WILL be back in 2013 and send these trailer inbreds back to the future.

Man this is hysterical to me. Literally as soon as I come back on this board the hating from one utterly pathetic loser pops it's pimpled covered little head out from under the rock and starts spewing vomit everywhere.

Your hate is our fuel loser. Remember that.

Funny how you like to use my handle, Joe Rose, and god knows who else. I love the fact that you literally show how many split personalities you have trying to be me and then you and then Joe Rose and then back to who knows... Starting a post with someone's handle only to argue back at it. What's wrong did you miss me that day? Sad that I was enjoying time at Hallendale beach getting a tan while you sat anxiously waiting for me to respond, and when you finally realize that I'm busy you start a conversation with yourself only in an attempt to make yourself feel cool and popular. How pathetic you are only makes me laugh harder. I'm sorry your team sucks, I'm sorry that I'm a bigger die hard fan for my team than you ever have been for yours. I'm sorry that my team has more history than yours does. I'm sorry that you are pathetic. I'm sorry for you.

But not for me, and that's one of the many reasons why....

I definitely see our defense being our strong point. Specifically our DL and LBs. I would love to see what the DBs will look like once the final roster comes out. I'm not worried about our OL as much as many other people here might be. I'm pretty confident after hearing the numbers that these guys have been putting in the gym compared to last years numbers. I'm much happy with our RB situation with Dallas Crawford and Duke back there along with Clements and James. My jury is still out on the WRs but I think we're going to be pleased with Herb Waters, Macolm Lewis, along with Allen Hurns and Phillip Dorsett. I'm really looking forward to Jontavios Carter(6'3"200lbs) and D'Mauri Jones(6'4" 190lbs) who will be the big men lined up against smaller DBs. Hell, Hurns is on the roster at 6'3", never realized that he was that tall. Either way they'll fill in that spot that Tommy Streeter left open for everyone.
I don't want to make any predictions when it comes to the season but I definitely know that we will surprise the hell out of everyone. I agree that we will win the Coastal and I'm certain that we will be in the ACC game against VT again. Now that we have a more disciplined defense, VT will be in for a wild night.

GO CANES!!!!

CANENTALLY....

Those numbers you mentioned in reference to reps has gone up ridiculously higher than from the numbers you posted. I'm sure it's because you're basing those numbers off of old information but no worries I'll dig up the new ones and you'll be in for a shock.

GO U!!!!!

CANENTALLY here are those numbers I mentioned for you.

This is from an article from the miamiherald.. Enjoy.

"Strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey, whose had the team since spring football ended April 14th, said Monday the Hurricanes have made drastic improvements in his weight room -- and credits Golden for a lot of it.

According to Swasey, UM currently has 36 players who are bench pressing 225 pounds (the NFL combine testing standard) 20 times and seven more who are doing it 30 times. A year ago, Swasey said, he only had 11 players on the entire roster who could produce 20 reps of 225 pounds. The goal, Swasey said, is for the team to eventually have 40 players who can do 20 reps of 225 and 10 who can achieve 30 reps by the time fall practice begins.

Andreu Swasey..That's why players were wearing new U Tough t-shirts Monday with the numbers 40/10 across the front of it.

"All of us are shocked how strong we've gotten," said senior Ben Jones, one of the seven to achieve 30 reps. "Everybody is buying into the program now and believing in what coach is saying and are ready to just go for it. I wouldn't say it wasn't happening before. But it's just a new energy around here."

That new energy, Swasey said, has to do with the level of competition Golden has created with the off-season programs. Swasey the combination of the Fifth Quarter program (extra workouts), the competition to wear black jerseys (starters) and now having players get tested in what they would do at the NFL combine has created a year-round competition for starting jobs and kept the team hungry.

So who are the seven players with more than 30 reps? Jones couldn't remember them all, but mentioned defensive tackles Darius Smith and Corey King as well as left tackle Malcolm Bunche and starting right guard Brandon Linder. Swasey said Smith leads the team with 36 reps.

Sophomore middle linebacker Denzel Perryman had 23 reps according to Jones. Boston College's Luke Kuechly, the ACC Defensive Player of the Year, put up 27 reps at the combine. Jones said a couple of defensive backs have broken the 20-rep mark -- safeties Andrew Swasey and Kacy Rodgers.""

Mind you this goes back to April 2012 so the numbers have changed since then but at least you've got a better idea of what Golden and Co have been doing...

Have a Great Day everyone!!!

GO CANES!!!!

Thanks Canetillidie
So I had it wrong. It was 40/10 instead of my 20/10. Even better for the team.
I saw on one of the Raising Canes videos Golden is praising Jones for a block he made in the Spring Scrimmage. Great to see these young men taking steps to improve themselves. What a change from the years before.
This is great news. I am even more psychic for the season.

"Our D will dominate this year and more to come."

Posted by: CANETILLIDIE....DH | July 05, 2012 at 06:26 PM

Not bashing just asking. After losing our best LB, Corner, D.End and two tackles along with most of the D-Line depth, I'm hoping for a steady and improving Defense as the year progresses. "Dominating" is an aweful strong word. On paper in a few years down the line maybe, but I'm still not sold on Cain and Gaines but believe they could be overtaken eventually by Freshman. But there will be major learning curves for all of those kids stepping on the College football field for the first time. Chick will be solid. Perryman can be special. Howard on one side will have growing pains at times but could be that lock down guy in the future. It's the enigmas like Ray Ray n Telemaque that will be the key to this team. They MUST be leaders ! And I hope they have improved on their run support angles and ability to grasp, wrap and mangle tackle. And then there is the one factor that controls and can change a teams or Units identity in a matter of seconds. That's injuries. And they WILL come. Every team incurs them every year. And they will happen like other teams will. That's why not just numbers depth, but true talented and ready to play at a high level depth is the difference between a 5-7 to 6-6 to 7-5 team compared to an 8-4 to 9-3 to 10-2 team. We are looking at a defining season that will result in one of those records. And it can be a matter of just a couple of handfuls of plays that will determine that record. Bottom line. The preseason odds are out and basically we are favored to win about half our games. We NEED to win the games that we are favored in ! No bad loses. And then we need to win 2 or 3 of the games that we'll be a slight underdog in. That should equate to a solid 8-4 year. 9-3 at best, but also 7-5, 6-6 at the very worst if these kids under perform like they have recently. I just want to see some old school U D. The difference now between the LSU's n Bama's in that those teams have ridiculous Defensive depth that is comprised of stone cold, nasty, malicious ballhawkin-rippin bandits and theives. You know, like we always had in the past ? Now the other two areas of the game will be key. We are soooo much more improved in our Special teams which can win a game or 2 every year on their own. The offense will be a mystery but will be in good hands with Fisch running the show in his second year. They will be methodical. BALL SECURITY, winning field position, punt n play D is what they will do. It's going to be a different look on Offense. The kids there now are trained and want to be College fooball greats. Not future NFL get paid bonus babies. And it will ALL be determined by one guy running the the show. Always has and always will be. The Q.B. Mr. Morris had better be up to the challenge.

Once again, not bashing. I love the enthusiasm. But I'm going to keep it tempered tell the results meets the expectations. I do believe Golden has this thing heading in the right direction and know for a fact that he's the guy to get us through whatever the NCAA has in store for the program. But I implore all Cane fans. "Take the pain" when the growing pains hurt. And temper the success that will no doubt come in spurts. And then be ready to move on because getting too pissed or happy over things could effect the future that will be right around the next corner, play, quarter, half and game.

ChrisH U'88,

Fair minded analysis. While the D has some strength in terms of individuals, where is the depth, and what can the D line be?

Regarding Ray and Vaughn, I would take a hard look at Highsmith and Rogers. They are both in the max strength group and are hard hitters. I think those guys WANT to play. Have my doubts about the other two.

Talent without motivation, passion and all-out play often means nothing positive for a team. I question Ray and Vaughn's motivation, but, like any fan, remain hopeful that they will step up as men of character this season. If not, just two more NFL me first types...

DBC
I agree strength is the most important element. I guess I am old school and believe the game is won at the line of scrimmage. If you control the line you control the game.
I lost count of the times we needed a yard last year, and could not get it. Same with the defense. Need a stop and we win. K State comes to mind on that one. What was it? 3rd and 27 at their 10? We let the QB go up the middle for 29. OUCH game right there.
Oh well that was last year. I will look at the positives for this year. A stronger team, the same coaches as last year, a lot of young guys got playing time last year because of the suspensions, and as Ben Jones said in the article above. The team has bought into the program. Big step right there.
IT'S GREAT TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!

ChrisH'88

Great points and welcome to the board. You hit a bunch of topics right on the head. Allow me to elaborate why I believe our D will dominate this year and more to come.

As DBC stated that on the D we have talented strong individuals there but we must also look at another factor. We have players that will be playing that haven't played in a while and now have to push themselves and when we do is when we will see greatness. Curtis Porter, Shayon Green, and Luther Robinson will be a force to be reckoned with and will wreak havoc in the backfield. Plus we have Grimble, King, Smith, Moore(fr), Ivery(fr), and Alexis to fill in. Personally I believe that Earl Moore will be starting by the end of the season. Kid is a physical speciman. Lets not forget that Dyron Dye and Jeremy Lewis were switched to offense. Dye could go right back to DE or even DT if necessary and Lewis loves playing on the Dline. Gotta appreciate Lewis for sacrificing his favorite spot for the better of the team. Now he's giving more depth to the Oline. Unselfish if you ask me. Team first.

Then on the DE side we have Chickillo that is as solid a DE as there could be along with Sean Harvey, Dwayne Hoilett, Olsen Pierre, Jelani Hamilton, and Ricardo Williams.

LBs I'm actually really happy about with Ramon Buchanan, Denzel Perryman, Raphael Kirby. Jimmy Gaines and Kelvin Cain need to bring it together but will give some depth there along with Tyrone Cornelius who has been playing both LB and safety. Eddie Johnson was looking great all through the spring and so was Gionni Paul.

DBs...I'm still gonna wait till I see the final roster. I see McGee losing his spot and possible being switched to a WR role or return man. With his speed I don't see why that is a bad thing. I definitely don't see Finnie giving up his spot easy. That kid is hungry and plays bigger than he his physically. I see Ladarius Gunter replacing McGee. Backing them up is Tracy Howard(fr), Thurston Armbrister, Dallas Crawford(Off&Def), Kacy Rogers, Tyrone Cornileus, Alonzo Highsmith, Larry Hope(fr), Veron Davis(fr), Andrew Swasey, Vaughn Telemaque, Ray Ray Armstrong. I do share the same opinion as many others here in regards to VT and RR. These two need to take their heads out of their #$% and play nasty football. I want them watching Benny Blades, Sean Taylor, Brandon Meriweather highlights till their sick of it.

If the stories are true that we're cutting the stupid mistakes that lead to penalties and the special teams have picked up the pace then I definitely see a 8-4 season. The lack of penalties and the strength improvements will definitely prevent teams from pushing us around. Watching my team getting pushed around by inferior teams really upset me and showed me how little candy randy really put into the team. Now with Golden and Co it's a whole new team, literally. Plus there's an added bonus, the players that were holding us back, not leading by example, me first you whenever mentalities are GONE. Those type of players can cast and ugly cloud over a team and it's goals.

This year will in no doubt come with growing pains seeing how many freshmen we will be playing but that will only solidify our future as a team through experience and players STAYING to finish what they started and not selling out for a few bucks. I still can't wait for this up coming season. The strength improvements alone have me on the edge of my seat.

GO CANES!!!!

There it is right there!!!!!

GO U!!!!

What no hate today??? REALLYYYYYY???????? C'mon just a lil'hate then... C'mon, you can do it. HAHAHA armchair heroes are the funniest.

GO CANES ALL DAY EVERYDAY!!!

No hate fool. I guess I have to apologize to you, I thought it was you that predicted a one loss season and playing ND for the NC. I guess you are not that stupid after all. Regardless, it's great to be a cane in the summer. Used to be in the spring too, but no more after those dreadful scrimmages. Either way enjoy the rest of the summer and all the make believe about how much your sorry team has improved and how strong they are now and all your made up none sense. I'll get back to you when the games begin and the reality of your sorry team manifests itself again.

Honestly I thought you would come with something better than that. So far it's been great to be a Cane for the last 30yrs. What has your team done in 30yrs? I can't think of any team that has done anything profound in the last 30yrs besides the Canes. I, unlike you, base my information on facts. Numbers never lie, remember that. In the mean time you base your information on a single emotion that only brings you down, and The U up. Thanks.

GO CANES!!!!

Yeah - I'll say it again. Numbers never lie - just look at the last decade for my canes in the ACC.

GO CANES!!!!

GO CANES!!!!

DA DA DA DAAAA ARMCHAIR HERO TO THE RESCUE!!!! Guess the Canes have to have a down decade for your team to actually do anything. I can understand that. Most other teams feel the same way.

Cute try but as always.... FAIL

GO CANES!!!!

GO GOLDEN & C0!!!!

GO U!!!

CANETILLIDIE,

Nice thorough analysis of the D side of the ball. Clearly, we have got some players and some serious potential. As you often do, you back up your enthusiasm with solid data. We Cane junkies appreciate that kind of input.

Canetally,

Agree, it's the trenches. Therefore, the reported improvements in strength are good news. Yah, I remember that awful play against K-State. Klein, a big QB, just ran over us. Normally, a Cane D with power up front and speed at LB would have stuffed that guy, especially since he took so much time to read his zone options.

This year we travel to K-State. The fans will be frenzied in Manhattan, KS. And Arthur Brown, who has become a strong LB with good coaching will be ready. I believe we will as well. We will need points on the board to play with those guys, even though Klein is gone. They are big, strong and tough wheatfield boys.

Thanks CTID and CT for good discussion! Go Canes!

F#$k k state this year. That game pissed me off probably more than the rest. They don't have much besides QB Klein and RB Hubert.

Last year stats for those two...

rushing
Hubert 18/166 (avg 9.2) 1TD (long 47)
Klein 22/93 (avg 4.2) 1TD (long 26)
L.Miller 18/106 (avg 5.9) 1TD (long 59)

passing
Klein 12/18 133 (avg 7.4) 2TD OInt
J.Harris 21/31 272 (avg 8.8) 2TD 1Int

receiving
McDonald(KS) 1/34 0TD
Smith(KS) 4/27 0TD
Benjiman 6/91 1TD Long 34
Dorsett 2/41 0TD Long 31 threw TD to L.Miller

Main thing that really killed us in that game was false starts. Mostly from Feliciano which I hope he has remedied by now. He didn't play in the spring game due to injuring his ankle during a scrimmage.

Now with our improved defense this numbers won't happen again. Outside LBs and DEs will contain the outside letting nothing go to the sidelines and Curtis Porter, Luther Robinson, Darius Smith and Co will wreck havoc in the backfield. I see Klein getting taken out of the game one way or another and his replacement has done nothing. Good luck wildcats.

GO CANES!!!

So, QB Klein is returning? I remembered his name being discussed in the context of the draft, but maybe that was about leaving early. The guy is a gamer that made us look like fools on defense. If you can't stop a big slow guy who is doing zone read... hope you are right about a much improved D.

Yah, Feliciano bogged the O down with mistakes, Got to eliminate that stuff. K-State was disciplined.

So, CTID, how do you really feel about K-State? (K -State !!! WTF!!!)

The fact that they beat us and will show up is an indicator of where we have been. Let's hope Golden et al are changing the culture. Enough of more talent BUT
under performing...Yada Yada.

You win. Period> Or at least play your heart out!

Hope we smash 'em! Go Canes!

Yup Klein is returning but I'm not concerned. Take away that long 26yd run he had and his rush stats go from 22/93(4.2) --> 21/63(3.2)... I don't know if we were simply in the wrong coverage or what but that big run really helped them. We even had less penalties than they did. Kstate really only has 3 players Klein and Hubert on Offense and Arthur Brown on Defense, that's it. They're gonna need more than that to beat us this time. This time they don't have Jacory Harris to help them along. Come to think of it, no team will have Jacory Harris on our offense to help out their defense anymore. Damn that feels good to say. Don't care if anyone doesn't like it, cry to jacory about it.

Go here for the game info.. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=312672390

I'm simply happy that the "me first" guys are gone. Now we can concentrate and get to work. Read some encouraging quotes from the coaches about the freshmen already here. On defense (DL)Earl Moore is a flat out monster that will see time as early as BC. (DE)Jelani Hamilton is a game changer with his speed and long arms. (CB)Tracy Howard and (S)Deon Bush are picking up the defense really quickly. Bush is picking it up the fastest and can play either CB or S but they have him at safety for now. (S)Rayshawn Jenkins is another one picking up the safety spot and is said to have very good instincts. Supposedly, after VT and RR are gone it'll be those 2 at SS & FS. Larry Hope is a flat out hitter. Duke is phenomenal. They're putting him at RB and WR. "Kid is a playmaker, simple as that." Herb Waters will get "tons of yards after a catch." Took a couple down the sideline and nobody touched him. Malcolm Lewis is probably the "fastest of all of the freshmen WRs and makes people miss consistently." (DL)Jacoby Briscoe and Dequan Ivery have been mixing it up really nicely and actually got into a couple of scuffles already with the Oline (love that).

"it's been great to be a Cane for the last 30yrs"

but....

"Guess the Canes have to have a down decade"

Cute try but as always.... FAIL

IT S GREAT TO BE A HURRICANE TEN YEARS AGO FOR TWENTY YEARS!!!!

Come up with that handle all by yourself? Keep up with the conversation or start a new topic.

"I can't think of any team that has done anything profound in the last 30yrs besides the Canes. I, unlike you, base my information on facts. Numbers never lie"

And so the great delUsion lives on..............
Based on facts, the canes haven't done anything profound in the last 10 years. Unless losing is profound. Or maybe you call mediocrity profound.
Based on facts all the canes have done in the past 10 years is get worse, dissappoint, underperfom and just plain suck.
Numbers don't lie and they support my assertions.
Just another day in fantasy land for the cane "fan", of course you are on the way up and you are back, right?
The definition of delUsion.

This is for you Moronic Noles out there, that is if you have internet in your trailer.

July 10,2012 - fswho CB Greg Reid was arrested in Valdosta Ga for possession of the sticky and driving with a suspended license. Already bonded out. This isn't Reid's first time dealing with police. Last year he was caught lying to a police officer that was questioning him in regards to a scooter. Those charges go under perjury and obstruction of justice. Not a smart kid.

Feb'12 - James Wilder Jr. was arrested last year and violated his probation this year on battery charges of a police officer and resisting with violence. Police were dispatched to pick up his girlfriend for failing to appear to a court case. He attempted to intervene. He was arrested this time(Jun'12) due to showing up to his probation officer and had alcohol on his breath. He failed a breath test. Any alcohol in his system is a violation to his probation. Punks never learn. You see, you can be stupid and still get into college.

Dec'11 - Arrington Jenkins stole a motorcycle simply because it was on the bed of a pickup truck. Cops found it inside his apt bathroom (weird). "Arrest reports say when questioned by police Jenkins said anyone who leaves a motorcycle out in the open should expect to have it stolen". He's serving 2yrs probation after serving 25days at a sheriff's work camp and paid $2,185.00 restitution to the owner of the bike for damages. fswho spokesperson said that Jenkins was no longer on the team.

Dec'11 - CB Avis Commack was arrested for stealing a $600 ipad from the computer lab. He was caught when he logged in with his own screen name just outside the football locker room.

July'11 - Nigel Carr was on probation for multiple burglaries. He broke into 4 cars stealing credit cars. Entered a no contest plea Mar'12. Kicked off the team.

All of this has happened within a year of today's date. Just came across the Reid case and then I got curious to see what else has been happening up in tally. Seems to me that they have been busy working that chain gang. Hope they'll have enough players come game time to field a team otherwise what's the point of playing fswho if they're not at full strength.

GO CANES!!!!!

Funny how you took a conversation out of context. Maybe you should go back and "re-read" the post to have a better understanding of it. Your grade school teacher should have taught you about re-reading things to make sure you have a grasp of what you were reading.

GO U!!!

These trailer maggots cannot read. At least I understood, homie.

Canetillidie good stuff.

Would you say that if we had the muscle and weight training last year, in those close games we could have closed out with more power and won even two or three games that we lost?.
Didn't we lose multiple games in the last quarter or 5 minuntes that we should have closed out with a win?.

All those loosers that come on here and try to beat down our Canes would be singing a different tune if we had a 9-3 season.

Great analysis of positions, and also as we develop depth at multiple positions our high pressure of intense play that Coach G wants will be accomplished.
Depth is the glue to keep it going..
Go "Canes

We are a dynasty for the past 30 years minus 10

Shouldn't your handle be " The Gators, a dynasty for 2 of the last 30 years"

Oh wait, your right the first one is better.
My bad
IT'S GREAT TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!

good to see the Gators control, get nominateed, shown, picked, win, get up on stage n finish at the ESPY'S last night Arty ...

where were U ?

U r U

Tebow saves the day for the Gators again.
Yet according to you we are not suppose to cheer for the pro players from our schools. That would be living in the past.
I will take Pro Bowlers over ESPY winners any day.

You need to let Arty go, and move on with your life.
Think about it. He never answers you back.
He obviously does not feel the same way for you.

As always
IT'S GREAT TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
