« UM Canes WR Malcolm Lewis "done'' for season; Punter Dalton Botts has sprained ankle | Main | Quick UM Canes recap from today's press conference with Golden: Not so good on Denzel, iffy on Dalton, good on some others. »

New UM Canes Depth Chart with your Monday morning coffee: Seantrel Henderson now a co-first-team starter

Good morning.

Miami just released its newest depth chart on the heels of that impressive win over Georgia Tech and heading into North Carolina State week.

* Seantrel Henderson is now listed as the co-first-team left tackle with Malcolm Bunche.

* Ben Jones, who coach Al Golden said had a really good game and graded a 90 percent at right tackle against the Yellow Jackets, is now co-first-team right tackle with Ereck Flowers.

* Rashawn Scott takes the place of starting wide receiver Malcolm Lewis, who is out for the season with the ankle injury he sustained Saturday.

* Jake Wieclaw is still listed as a backup to injured punter Dalton Botts (sprained ankle, but not high-ankle sprain, according to Golden), though I doubt Botts plays Saturday. Again, we'll see. Also, Golden told us last evening that young kicker Matt Goudis has punted better than Jake in practice. He didn't do that well in his only punt Saturday, but it was his first shot.

Here's the full depth chart, per UM:

I like what im seeing from the young Canes. This could be a dangerous team in the second half of the season. Look out FSU.

Idiot boy....Larry Coker is directly responsible for the success of the U.....he was the OC from 1995-2000. I have suggestion...watch the 30/30 The U....then youll understand what all of this means. Until Golden proves himself which hasent so far....stop insulting the guys that made Miami what it WAS...Coker, Davis, Erickson and all the others......chuck pagano, rod chudzinski, greg schiano, curtis johnson, dave wannstedt, dave compo, gary stevens, donsoliger, tommy tuberville and the like....please mark D'onofrio and jedd fisch, thats a laugher.....

I see now the jr/sr on the roster were busts, lol....ok. Like ive said.....lets see what happnes. But no more BS....make it happen. As far as give it time...the time is NOW. I say can the DC immediately, he dosent Golden is responsible for the losses. No passing the buck....he owns the DC period. If the team fails becuase of DC..Golden fails...he cant have to both ways. If he wants to stick by his pisan from NJ....so be it. No running away later.

Jim Gallo,

Coker may have been a good OC but he was a trash as a HC at Miami. I don't have to watch 30/30 to understand how he ran this program into the ground. Elmer Fudd was hired as the HC after Butch to not change a thing Butch had built. Butch was the only person not to leave the staff. The slide began against OSU when Coker didn't get the team ready to play. They thought they'd walk in and just trounce OSU and leave with another ring on their fingers.

Then the LSU beatdown came. I watched the Canes crumble like a cheap suit. They packed it in when the going got tough. Coker was such a piece he threw coaching staff under the bus. Kehoe was wrongfully fired and Golden brought him back because he knows he was thrown under the bus. Coker was an offensive guy and by the time he left Miami was using Brian Monroe "yes the punter" to practice at WR because he failed to recruit the position. That's how incompetent Elmer Fudd fist pump fist pump was.

Yeah Jedd Fisch, what a laugher. The guy designed NFL playbooks for the most brilliant offensive minds in the league. Seattle put an offer out to him before he packed his bags and left for Miami. Once again showing how stupid you are. The guy can draw up a playbook for every player on the roster but you claim he's a laugher.

Yeah this Mark Donofrio guy, what a laugher! Played in the NFL and was mentored by Bill Parcels and Bill Belichick. He took a roster full of no stars, 2 stars, and a couple of 3 stars at Temple and installed a monster of a defense. He won't do anything at Miami with ballers because a mental midget such as yourself says so.

Here's a tidbit I found talking about how young this Canes team is for you. What were you saying about not being young? You seem to be the only stooge making this claim. "An amazing 30 underclassmen, including an astonishing 11 starters, were listed on the latest two-deep depth chart released by Miami head coach Al Golden following the Hurricanes' 42-36 spectacular come-from-behind OT road win at Georgia Tech." 30 underclassmen in the two deep?

Moron...

jim gallo, you are an ASSet to the rest of the acc. keep on telling those lies you create, that will keep those canes near the bottom like they should be. with fans like you, the rest of us feel real lucky to follow other teams. i expect to see you in pack colors saturday, if your there. which i realy doubt. stay home canes fans, the pack wil spread you out, then your def will look lost, again, like gallo.we are not gt, you willsee ncstate 38 miami 24

Fightingibis
Lol. The fact that you keep making this personal means you know that stats speak louder than your misguided rants. And for the record, both my parents are doctors, my three siblings and i currently all have our doctorates and do quite well in our respective fields.
Now you need to understand that I love the canes..always have...always will. I believe Golden is the right man for the job and i fully appreciate the undertaking that he inherited from the get-go.
However, I do not believe in Donofrio.
You say he plays off bc we are young. Thats not true.
He plays off bc that is his scheme. It is not complicated; rather it is rather easy to break down.
the first five yards are a given every single down. Every single down.
watch film from his days at temple. This is his scheme. Its not attacking, its not hard to adjust to. He avoids the big play by playing 15 yards back every down. but for the life of me i cannot figure out why 10 plays for a td is better than one for a td.
I am not so arrogant that i can say for sure that i am right. Are you really so arrogant to believe that every single offensive coordinator we have played runs the same plays against us? Do you believe that you know better than they do?
I am willing to be wrong...but i feel like you are donofrios kid and will defend your daddy no matter how many offenses torch his scheme.
Those are blinders my friend. You need to root for your team and be realistic at the same time.
I dont expect them to play lights out. But i definitely expect them to press...to blitz...to not just give up plays because youre trying to avoid another.
It has nothing to do with youth...its scheme.
What about last year?
Whats your excuse then?
Seniors up and down the depth chart and...the same result. i believe in our kids...i do not believe in running the same soft scheme that gets torched week in and week out.
I go to four games a year...half of my closet is canes gear...I am as die hard as they come and I think you need to realize that we can differ on opinion and still be civil fans for the same team.

Go Canes.

fightingibis, you type trash like you probably talk. your english is limited to 4 letters. you know, darn, dang, dumb. why do post such garbage for other fans? to read. you need a whoopin'. but since we are so far apart, my pack will take care of you. 3-2. its the canes future.

Look until your Golden boys have the success that my boys have.....he and his staff are nothing but interns, lol. I mean the guy as of this post is 36-41...he dont even have a winning record yet! I'm dying laughing here....you should quit school, your not gonna graduate anyway...your high all the time.

UM was on auto pilot when Coker got the job. He took college football's top Program and ran it into the ground with incompetent recruiting and lack of team discipline. No big time Program in America wanted him when he left UM. AD's around the country knew UM would have success with just about any coach when B. Davis left. It's ridiculous to think UM would be better of with the coach that brought a once proud Program to its knees.

man oh man...good old fashioned hatred for our canes on here....maybe we are on our way back....haha....all i know is i am proud of the effort and the win. but it is history...nc state will be ready and they have beat us in miami before...plus their coach is disciplined individual and they will be ready...i just want to see more of what we saw at gt...downfield passing and good running fromjames and duke! like i began this post...they all hate us...especially when we win...take it as a compliment

yea Jedd Fisch...thats right, wtf is he? 2009 OC for U of minnescota...only 1 year as a OC......they went 6-7 and 3-5 conference. You got to be kidding me. This guy has no OC experience at all.

MrMia,

Your stats don't mean a thing. Stick to doctoring...

Like I said, Coach D is going to go down as one of the best DC's this football program has EVER had. Also, he and Golden are best friends so if you have faith in him then you better support Coach D and quit talking shyt because when you're proven wrong you're going to look silly. Coach D isn't going anywhere.

This defense is young and is going to get better and better. All of you coach D haters don't have a clue what you're talking about. The Temple defense was the heart and soul of that team and it was downright nasty with Temple talent.

Jim Gallo,

Jimmy Johnson and Dennis Erickson were both nobodies before they came to Miami. They came from shythole schools but were regarded as fiery soon to be balling HC's. History has a way of repeating itself. You morons will be proven to be morons real soon. You clowns pulled this BS with Butch and now you're pulling it again with Golden and the staff he put together.

Here's to watching you eat crow by the lb. You're lucky this is a rebuild and it will take time to fix the decade of Elmer Fudd and Radio incompetence.

NCState,

LOL! Your shytty football program replaced a tub of lard with a has been washout with the personality of mud. I expected a rough season breaking in a new QB and playing youngsters all over the place. I'm just enjoying this coaching staff making the haters look like the morons they are. As for my prediction this weekend. I predict these Canes will fight all game long and never give up. We won't even have to predict games soon because winning will be a given.

thats right mark, a beat down is coming. not as bad as kstate, but a beat down to give even gallo credit for doubting. oowwwooooooooo

I think you should look at Larry Cokers record....he didnt take Miami down....all of butches guys left at the end of the 2002 season. Coker went 11-2 in 2003. So that is not true. When Golden can match Cokers record then you can insult.....but that guy is nowhere near Cokers success.

Like ive said....statistics are a funny thing, they dont go away because you say so.

I am a loyal fan...ncstate..i hope we crush you. All i am saying I think i see the problem...lets fix it. Go after an NFL assistant to replace the DC and move on. Get a name that will help recruit since next year is gonna be hard to get kids to come here with bowl sanctions.

Jim,

Quit talking to yourself.

LOL! Yeah Elmer Fudd didn't bring the program down. His final 7-6 season and trip to the weedeater bowl didn't happen. You're a clown...

Jim would U shut the hell up. Dude FSU and Florida are 3 years ahead of us in recruiting and developing quality players. Coker u say, really? Dude my dead grandma could have coached the 01-04 teams better than that stooge. FSU has had a coaching legend before Jimbo, and Florida had Urban Meyer who was a great recruiter. What did we have Coker the choker and Candy Randy who were both terrible coaches. COker couldn't recruit and Shannon couldn't develop players, so Golden and company have had to come in and fix a collosal mess. If you can't tell by last Saturday that this team is on the up swing then u are as clueless as an old lady about what it takes to build a program. Tell you what U go pull for some other dipstick coached team and us real canes will stick by our team and our coaches. And really are you so retarded that U can't see Coker destroyed our team. Coker was given a ferrari and wrecked it. Golden was given a UGO and is building it into a Diablo. Just so you know thats a Lambo

Posting to Canes FANS here
All TOO well, our recent history prior to Golden's hiring was that on several occasions after a huge win, next game we somehow were FLAT.
This happens not just to us, but when it IS us, we hurt.

IMO, no matter what happens against Notre Dame, it's this NEXT game against a decent NC State team will further help define our program under Golden.
Win with focus, the occasional mistakes...but not mental ones, and we continue to turn the corner.
Lose with a flat, unfocused performance, and, as much as I really like and appreciate coach Golden we will have to question the results.

I believe we will start slow, but finish fast, take no crap, but win with CLASS.
Teams try to bait us, hoping for a response.
BIG mistake.

Canes win 37-27.

Imawriter, got to be honest, I usually agree with you, with my stuff to add, but overall it's important to have canes and dolphans that have intelligent conversation and disagreement....so kudos.

Having said that, I completely agree with u, as any cane fan has seen - and the removed proves it. Golden has not won three in a row yet, and it was the same under Shannon and coker.
However, I want to look a bit past that (agreeing its this organizations biggest problem not just this year but every year) and add this: if we can pull the win with nc state, there is a slight possibility we could be ranked, but even not, would have a three win series. But along with falling flat after big wins, this team, organization, for way too long, has been a huge victim to its own hype. Once the media or anyone starts talking about us even a little bit, their egos get big and they drink that delicious kool aid to the point of future embarrassment. That has got to be gone as well. In fact, three things that I have yet to see will tell the tale of whether I buy in to golden and company completely and fully:
1. Consistency ( what u talked about) - too long we have seen a team play like the bcs team they should be (vs Ohio state at home) only to be a completely different team (south florida, Boston college last year.)
2. Don't drink the kool aid: the canes teams I grew up loving got hype all the time, but it didn't make them cockier, it made them MEANER with more swagger. All of that needs back.
3. Adjustment and reward....the other two we have yet to experience, but this is the only one I know they have plotted against. They stick with the wrong players at times. It rarely works out. Thomas Finnie should not be on the field, for example. D'onofrio so far has been almost a complete failure at adjustment. Conservative play call, no pressure to the qb, not one game he has coached have I said 'the d is the old Miami d I know and love', unforgiving, swagger, ruthless.' however, the most worrisome of all is Stephen Morris. The biggest problem with him besides interception NEVER gets talked about.....he cannot throw td passes. Understand what I mean when I say this: anyone can throw a ball that a WR or rb makes moves to get a td, but he never EVER throws tds in the end zone. The most horrendous red zone numbers I have ever seen - and it's not just numbers. When he gets inside the 20 and is throwing to someone standing or running a route in the end zone his throws are so errant It's ludicrous. Don't get me wrong, I would stomach it if we didn't have a capable backup, but we were told all thought spring and summer that Ryan Williams was neck and neck. He, and the cane fans, deserve at least a chance, because once we get a touch passer with this offense our numbers could be just scary.

Why is Jim Gallo onhere talking trash on the canes?

Dude, we dont need your whiney negativity on here. Thjis team is 3-1 when almost everyone had predicted theyd be 1-3. All the so called experts had them losing to BC, and GT. With the exception of Bethune, they have been 'dogs in every game.

SO the D is still finding its way. So what those are called gfrowing pains. And the fact that they have played KSU and GT, twoof the best rsuhing teams in cfb, with one of those teams having a Hesiman candidate, to me means nothing. This is what means something:

This U team has heart, and b-alls. Something they havent had in 6 years since that win at Va Tech. They are 3-1 and 2-0 in the ACC. What else do you want you crybaby?

Quit the dissecting of the D this D that, 4-3 this and that. Youare starting to sound like either an FSU or UF fan. In fact, I am starting to believe youare one of those trolls in disguise the way youcome on here with all that negative BS.

Go canes. Beat NCst

Why do some coaches always have great seasons and great teams while other teams have no success year after year?
The answer is some coaches are great, some are poor, and some, like golden and his staff are mediocre and come up with crazy formations like three down linemen on defense, soft pass coverage, no blitz or on offense wasting downs throwing hail mary or flat passes for no gain.

The one good thing golden has done is get the Canes into shape and CHANGED to a four down line on defense. Now, he needs to move the LBs up closer to the line by two yards and throw in a super fast blitzer from the corner. And I liked Miami going to ten to fifteen yard timing passes downfield to bring back the team from a loss at GT.

So, what will he do this week? Why not start out with the formations that work in the comeback?????

Sorry, I is just my opinion. if you dont like it dont respond. I know what I see. Last year was supposed to be rebuilding year right? We have plenty of experienced jr/sr on the depth chart if Golden wants to play them. Remember kool aid is for kids. Who has to go into overtime to win a game against a team like GT? Thas a negative, not a positive. And since you passed out from being high in your dorm, you fell asleep in the 2/3rd quarter and was unable to witness the worst performance imaginable. Golden has his chance to prove himself....lets see what he does. But this team is not a young team at all. No different than any top 25. if you think there is..post the team and tell me at what position there is more experiance. Do some research for a change.

Fuuny thing about statisitcs...cant escape them with opinions..it is what it is and we are at 436 avg defensive yards.....5200 toatl here we come. mark it

BTW...the success of FSU is not so much as the performance of Jimbo but of his DC...Mark Stoops who I bet will be a head coach next year somewhere. Whats funny is he used to be with us, lol. there are so many ex-Miami guys that Shalala could have reached out for for this position its crazy. So instead of Mark Stoops we get D'onfrio.....its truely amazing.

Golden does not get the team in shape. The strenght and conditioning coach does that. Every team has that, We are not supposed to be impressed with that. Such low expectations. The team is supposed to be in shape.....thats like saying we are impressed with the equipment manager....unbelieveable. Excuse me Ray lewis (all time cane strenght guy)....our team is in shape because of the head coach. Your supposed to be in shape with or without a coach...just ask ray. The fans have dumb this team down to the point if they show up, its a miracle. this is what we have become...its painful

Great game.
Proud of the team. Way to stay together.
To the haters.
How does crow taste. Keep on hating. We thrive on it.
Suddenly FSU fans don't think the game will be a cake walk.
Take care of the ACC team. Don't over look NCST. Win the Coastal.
As always
IT'S GREAT TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but if youask Swasey, when Golden arrived and he demanded a new approach to conditioning, Swasey said that he was glad, because Shannon had his hands tied. Golden (NOT SWASEY) insituted the U Tough program. period. so s-stfu with your babble.

So Miami let up and made mistakes in the third quarter- sounds like youwould have preferred if they lost instead of won so your argument could be complete- as it is, your argument that Miami sucks because they beat GT while allowing 480 yds is fallacious. Nobody looks at things in that perspective That is, unless your some kind of whiney negative beeotch.

Miami won. They are 3-1. No they dont look as good as FSU. But who has FSU beat? Clemson? The same Clemson that allowed WVA to paste 70 on them in a neutral bowl site? Really? And some of you are praising Jimbo Fisher? LOL. Who else has FSU beat? Wake? OK.

Many of you were predicting a GT destruction of Miami, so now you are trying helplessly to undermine Miami's come from behind win all the while ignoring the positives. One of you dummies even has enough moxie to critcize Morris, even though he had nothing to do with the KSU loss- recall, Duke dropped 2 passes one of which was a sure TD. Others dropped passes as well. Same with last game. Is he perfect? No. Is he a Heisman candidate? No. But for G''ds sakes lay off. Dude had 438 yds passing against an Al Groh D that has a few future NFLers.

ESPN has begun the hype machine for FSU as they always have (previously for UF). They looove FSU. They always have. Dont know why. But they do. Herbie even picked them to win the NC. They hat e Miami. Always have also. between Beano Cook to Chris Fowler and Corso, they despise the U. Funny- Theu Has brought them so much $ in the form of high ratings its ironic.

One game at a time brother canes. NC state is a pro style team. Time to get ours. Show up at the stadium instead of sitiing here like arm chair x-box quarterbacks or coaches- You all (cane72, JimGallo etc)- if you all are so smart at football file an application and get an --ef-fen job as acoach. Start with pop warner. Otherwise please be quiet

Gotta say, with the disappearance of the troll, we are having some GREAT discussion in here. Sure, there are a couple insults involved, but we are discussing the GAMES, rather than troll fodder. Feels good.

Fighting Ibis, you claimed Miami made adjustments that stopped GT. I beleive they stopped themselves, once they had the big lead in the third quarter, by going conservative. After they got ahead, they threw ONE pass. The pretty much stopped the outside runs, and reduced their option calls for more traditional handoffs.

Not saying D'ohno made great adjustments, just that GT hurt themselves going conservative in their last five drives. Paul Johnson only has himself to blame. That makes me very happy.

Remember folks, we are all Canes fans, no need to turn one of us into a troll while the Gator trolls are off licking their wounds. Saying the DC has raw talent doesn't make someone a moron, and saying the DC could do better doesn't make someone an idiot. Both statements are true.

Glad you noticed!

Sent from my iPhone

GT had that massive come back because Lewis's injury completely sucked the energy out of our team. Did you not see our teams reaction. It just took them awhile to get their heads back in it and when they did, WE WON!

With a 4th and 1 stop by the defense everyone hates. Too damn funny. But I guess that's what you get when talking with a bunch of clowns.

Everyone does have a right to their opinion, but when talking schemes and assignments there is no opinion. There is right from experience and there is wrong, watching on tv. How do you tv clowns know who has what? You have no idea what play was called. Lol

Golden was highly sought after and landed at The U.

He wasnt even the third choice.

wow, all this negativity, some good stuuf in there, some not so good. tough game ahead, ncstate will be alot harder to beat than GT, they can actually throw the ball. a whole new challenge for the defense. i hope to see a more aggressive approachto getting some pressure on their qb, otherwise it could be a long day. but, go canes, and dont forget to vote for sebastian the ibis, we have one of the best mascots in college football, show him some love. capitalone.com mascot challenge

By the way, great Canes fans at the G Tech game. You could really hear them on the broadcast. Great support.

Now let's fill Sun Life! This oculd be a tough game because NC State can throw the ball. QB is vulnerable to a pressure defense. Our Offense is getting real strong and versatile. The D is showing heart and will hopefully take that next step Saturday.

Let's support these guys. They play hard and got no quit in them! Time to step it up Canes fans!

GO CANES!

like i said...good old fashioned hate...if u are a canes fan for any length of time...you welcome it...it is and always has been our modis operande'....we just need to win baby...everything else ...is a compliment gents...God bless

Lets see what happens. Your a believer I am not, leave it at that. You want to praise the coaching staff, go ahead. I think they are weak by what I saw the last 3 games vs other top 25 teams. Try watching other games and maybe the light will go on. The stats will take care of it all. Either they will be better than last year and will result in a winning season or they will be worse and Miami goes 6-6. So far the stats say we are worse starting off than last year. Been there many timse 3-1 at this point....and as we all know in the end has been totally different. Well see, I support Miami as much as anyone here....its that this is so old vs the past. Same BS post and euphoria only to be bitter disappointment....so Golden, lets see if you are what everyone says you are. Forget the freshman stuff...play all your jr/sr if you think they are better.

"Did you see the coach go out a hug the player...he really cares about them" ...it was so emotional, lol....did you see that Al Blades, Jerome Brown, Alonso Highsmith...ray lewis or jonahtan vilma? back in the day i would have drove some of you fans to Burdines or Jordan marsh at dadeland mall and buy you some panties.

Jim Gallo represents the cancer that is pervasive through the past five years at the U - and that's pitiful, ignorant fans. OMG he makes me actually look forward to reading Canefan72 and Cool Cat. How sick is that?

I am glad you like my posts. We need to get back to fundamentals. Smash mouth, keep your head on a swivel, and strap on the old leather helmet. I wan in Rome when it was being built and I can sure you it wasn't in one day.

Jim Gallo- Go eat some canolies you dumb arse. That last comment of yours is so dumb, it makes canefan72 and cool cat seem like brain surgeons.

I agree with 360 cane

So, GT beat itself. Ok, so that silly fumble by Dorsett in GT territory which would have given Miami first down at the GT 40 means nothing right? So the referreing was perfect correct? So Miami stopping Tevin Washingtn on 4th and inches was GT giving it t us eh? so Mike James' 25 yard burst in OT was nothing. Gt just gave it to him according to you.

You all are silly. Stop it your giving me a headache. Cane72- Go coach Pee wee football in Opa Locka, they sure can use your genius defensive schemes there

Back in the day offensive lineman breaks his leg and the OC says "move it up 10 yards"....plus no water at practice. I guess today everyone gets a ribbon, lol. What size do you wear?, lol

This is a post I left on a previous blog article. Edited some stuff out but it's just to point somethings out.

NCS has't played anyone on their schedule in comparison to those that we have already played. You must take that into consideration. Their schedule...
Tenn 35-21 L
Connecticut 10-7 W
South Alabama 31-7 W
Citadel 52-14 W
Canes are going to win this game. Strength of schedule at least dictates that.

Fswho... The only team of quality that this team has played so far is Clemson. Everyone else so far is a joke. This is a cupcake schedule to build them up. They're putting up 50pts a game but against who? All that tells me is that they are overrated, but we'll see. They were in a good game against Clemson who took the lead only to lose it in the second half. Clemson exposed fswho's weaknesses and simply didn't continue it in the 2nd half. It was their's to lose.

fswho's schedule..

Eddie Murphy St 69-3 W
Savannah St 55-0 W
Wakeforest 52-0 W
Clemson 49-37 W

Same thing can be said about VT...
Here's their schedule
GT 20-17 W
Austin Peay 42-7 W. Who the hell is this????
Bowling Green 37-0 W
Pittsburgh 17-35 L HAHA!
(Mind you...Pittsburgh has only beaten VT and Gardener-Webb 55-10). Food for thought.

The only soft team that Miami has played was Bethune-Cookman. That's it. Boston College looks to have a difficult season since their schedule doesn't look to get any better down the line. They'll be lucky to go .500 this year. Other than that The U has played quality teams. Hell, I'm not even impressed with NDs schedule either. Look at who they have beaten and then go and look at their schedules and how they have done so far.

I'm just going by the numbers that should truly be looked at and taken into consideration and not just scores.

As always...

IT'S GREAT

TO BE

A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!

I SAY IT'S GREAT

TO BE

A MIAMI HURRICANE!!!!

GO CANES!!!!! GO GOLDEN!!!!

Someone on here actually wants Coker back?!?!?

We don't care about what FSU or any other program does.

Canesfan 72,

Coach D did not change to a 4-3. The 4-3 is the base defense. Coach D will run an odd man front "3-4" if the offense is showing spread formations. It's really not that hard to understand. You didn't see the 3-4 against GaTech because they don't spread you out so the 4-3 was what we ran all game. Against NCState I can guarantee we'll see the 3-4 in 3rd and long situations which are obvious passing down where Glennon will spread it.

But I guess you'd rather see the defense stick to a 4-3 in those situations like corch Radio would and watch the defense get burned? That Louisville game comes to mind. You know, the one where our players were told to stomp on the logo at midfield and then Louisville proceeded to push our shyt in?

Jim Gallo,

You're still a moron. Butch's players didn't leave by the end of the 2002 season. You don't even know how attrition in CFB works. Butch was the HC through the 2000 season. He left and the 2001 recruiting class that he put together came aboard. But yet after 2002 Butch's players were gone? Elmer Fudd ran the program into the ground. Any Canes fan with half a brain knows this. Hell even the Radio slurpers can tell you that. A liar and a moron...

Okay folks I was at the GTech game. Great offensive gameplan. But defense other story. Yes we won but GTech beat themselves, our d-coordinator needs to give it up. This is outta his league.
Thank God he have players like ChIck and Eddie Johnson played lights out. Now I see why Tracy Howard had words with D'fino.
Letsvwaqw

Rchy12,

GaTech didn't beat themselves. GTFOOH!

I seem to recall the refs kept the GaTech offense rolling twice in the 4th quarter on BS calls. The defense stopped them and in came the phantom penalties.

Also, in OT, how many points did Gatech score again? Oh they were stopped on 4th and inches? Funny how you clowns forget that the offense didn't even show up to the KSU game to help the defense out. Then the Offense vanished in the 2nd and 3rd quarter of the GaTech game but they zero criticism huh? Sounds like you fools have an axe to grind with Coach D and he's working with 19 freshmen and sophomores in the two deep of his defense.

I thought the defense played well enough to win the game. Oh wait, we did win the game! Morons!

wrong check the 2003 roster.....most were jr/sr on the 2000 team. again do your homework green pea.

BC 1-2
BethC 2-2
gt 2-2

yep really beat some good teams. please

I believe that someone if faking IDs again, trying to get jim gallo and Canefan72 to look bad. I know they have made some odd comments in the past, but the Canefan72 leather helmets comment has got to be fake, and the gallo Burdines comment are likely just fake comments meant to rile up the regular fans here.

Take a step back guys and figure that someone writing that garbage is likely to be a troll in disguise just trying to end the great discussion you all are having here.

Mr. Gallo, they are 0-3 to us, but 5-3 for the rest of their games, it isn't like they are all that bad. Remember, we lost to that BC team just last year, and GT lost to VT by a sliver in OT as well.

I don't beleive anyone said they are "really good teams", and we should have won all three as we did, but they were not Citadel and Montana State either...

Yes, the defense is bad....it's probably not getting fixed this year because the d-line is bad. The secondary is really young too. Every game is going to be like GT guys so enjoy.

Funniest part of this is our PR D. Johnson weighs 192, but our KR D. Johnson weighs 188. As if he slims down for the KR.

Jim Gallo,

Butch coached the 2000 team and recruited the 2001 recruiting class. Butch's players were not gone after the 2002 season. The 2001 class were RS freshmen and Sophomores in 2002. In 2003 they were RS Sophomores and True Juniors. Once again you're completely full of shyt.

Elmer Fudd was as bad as Radio...
