Depth Chart just released for UM Canes vs. Notre Dame -- Denzel man in the middle

Good morning.

The Hurricanes just released their depth chart for the Notre Dame game Saturday at Soldier Field, where Notre Dame will be the home team.

Some quick changes: Denzel Perryman (high-ankle sprain) is back and starting at middle linebacker.

With offensive tackle Ben Jones out, the co-starters at right tackle are now freshman Ereck Flowers and junior Seantrel Henderson -- with redshirt freshman Hunter Wells listed as the backup to Malcolm Bunche at left tackle.

Tyrone Cornileus and Gionni Paul are listed as co-starters at outside linebacker.

Deon Bush is listed ahead of Kacy Rodgers at safety.

Relax, the reason that Michigan got held to 237 total offensive yards is because Denard Robinson got picked 4x. You think that score would have been higher with that many picks. Tells me there's a good defense at ND and not a good offense. Their WRs don't put up #s like ours and nor do their RBs. Gonna be interesting.

GO CANES!!!!

@DBC

Brother I'm always around. Never jump ship, never surrender. GO U!!!!

GET'EM CANES!!!!

high is 55 for sat...low is 40 in rain from this week. nd defense held michigan to 299 total yards and michigans offense is better than ours. michigan ran 66 offensive plays for 299 @4.5 average and nd ran 50 play for 239 @ 4.8 average....the game wil lbe defensive with hometown crowd, cold, rainy....fyi, miami never plays well in the rain or cold....what idiots, because miami is in tropics must mean it plays well in rain...put the bong down, lol

The Canes are doing very well so far with all the young talent on the team. No one really gave them much hope this year but they are holding their own against some very good teams. But they really need a few things to help make them better.1--Their own stadium that will make more fans come out to the games, 2--A new DC now. This guy in there now just can not see what everybody else is trying to tell him what his biggest problems are with the defense. He may have been good at his last stop but this is the U and the fans are really going to get on his a-- soon if he does not fix the defensive problems now. But no matter what happens, I will always love the CANES.......

golden will not have morris go down field..it will be conservative, you watch......nd will jam recievers at the line just like they did with michigan...they will blitz morris more and use the weather to their advantage....the turf will be slippery and the ball hard to catch because of it cold/damp...40' in wet weather is colddddddd. especially at night when that temperature drops.....sorry miami loses...i hate to say ti

Bull Dicky I mean Jim
You hate to say that Miami will lose. You have said it every week.
Your the only loser on this site. With your different names and chatting with yourself.
Here is another thing you know nothing about.
IT'S GREAT TO BE A MIAMI HURRICANE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I don't understand is why are all these ND fans on here reading the MIAMI Herald ??? Do we have closet UM fans ??? All I have to say is that these young, blood thirsty CANES are gonna come out and SHOCK the world Saturday night. We're gonna mentally and physically break ND down. Then we'll see what Lou "Daffy Duck" Holtz has to say.
GO CANES !!!!!!!!

I know no one want to here this, but it appears the U is couple wins away from bowl eligibility, but I hope the Administration impose another self-impose ban against the bowl which would be for the 2nd straight year that will help them when NCAA announce thier penalties. If the Canes do this, the NCAA will probably add 1 additonal year or nothing, and just imposed scholarship reductions for 3 years. I predict 1 year ban and we lose 30 scholarships over a 3 year period.

Hate to say it JGAy but your an idiot like everyone has been saying.
straight from the FSU football website
C 52 Bryan Stork 6-4 312 r-Jr. Jr. is an ancronym for junior meaning third year
62 Austin Barron 6-3 295 So.
53 Sterling Lovelady 6-3 291 So.
RG 54 Tre' Jackson 6-4 327 So.
51 Bobby Hart 6-4 316 So.
RT 71 Menelik Watson 6-6 320 Jr. Oh, here is another
67 Daniel Glauser 6-5 305 Sr.
76 Garrett Faircloth 6-7 290 r-Jr

Gallo obviously is now Ron Burguney off Wktc weather an news for the mentally ill an pedophiles this guy is a joke how can Miami not play in the rain when the city is built by the ocean an like I stated before there the only sub tropical team in the country meaning it rains more in Miami then it does in the windy city of Chicago an the cold shouldn't be a factor its October not the end of Nov/Dec your really a clown dude maybe you should pick the bong up because you have more than a few screws missing... This guy must have never watch espn 30:30 on the U we dnt care who will schedule an we dnt care were we play them jerk... Fear the tie

Food for thought...

ND has been sacked by...

Purdue 5x
Navy 2x
MichSt 1
Mich 0

Miami has been sacked by...

BC 1
KSU 5x
BCU 0
NCST 1
GT 0

Just some interesting numbers to look at going into the game. KSU was the only game where we performed under our abilities. That's it. We've held everyone else off, plus have played more games than ND has. So in retrospect we have been tested more. Morris has put up bigger numbers than both of NDs QBs have.

Here's NDs QBs....

Everett Golson Passing..
Att / Comp / PCT / YDS / TD / INT
89 / 50 /56.2 / 641 3 / 3
Rushing
Att / YDS / AVG / TD
21 / -11 / -.5 / 5

Andrew Hendrix Passing
Att / Comp / PCT / YDS / TD / INT
5 / 4 / 80 / 50 / 0 / 0
Rushing
Att / YDS / AVG / TD
6 / 20 / 3.3 / 0

Tommy Rees Passing
Att / Comp / PCT / YDS / TD / INT
17 / 11 /64.7 / 150 / 0 / 0
Rushing
Att / YDS / TD
1 / 2 / 1

Stephen Morris Passing
Att / Comp / PCT / YDS / TD / INT
207 / 124 / 59.9/1,635/ 9 / 4
Rushing
Att / YDS / TD
24 / 31 / 0

Morris yds 1,635

NDs QBs yds 841 (combined)

Interesting numbers if you ask me.

GET'EM CANES!!!!

I'm just going by the stats.

GO U!!!

Besides Navy(50-13), ND can't put up more than 20pts??? And those 20pts haven't been up against the strongest teams in the country either.

Purdue(20-17)almost beat them, Michigan ST lost 20-3, and Michigan was a weird game ending 13-6. Michigan threw 5(total) picks plus a fumble and ND couldn't put up anymore pts than 13?

Michigan
Rushing 41-161
Passing 13-25/138

ND
Rushing 31-94
Passing 11-19/145

NDs WRs are garbage.
Nobody has a clue who the starting QB is.
RBs are practically non-existent.

DRIVE THE NAIL IN THE COFFIN GOLDEN. D'ONOFRIO THIS IS YOUR GAME TO PROVE EVERYONE RIGHT OR WRONG!!!! FISCH IT'S TIME TO UNLOAD AND LET MORRIS LOOSE. GET'EM ON THE FIRST PLAY. DORSETT - SMOKE'EM.

p.s Wish I could be at this game.

Jim Gallo, I just checked the FSU roster on the ESPN site and where you stated Lovelady being a FR, they have him listed as a So. Where you stated that Watson was a So., he is listed as a Junior. If your going to talk smack, you need to get your facts straight.....

U got served!!!!!

I agree with our stadium issue. We need to be playing in the OB....well that stadium that a waste of a baseball stadium!!!

[]_[] will beat ND. Like JJ once said: "don't let the refs decide the game!"

bob: Chech again:

FSU: Starting offense

4 senior
5 sophomores
2 jrs

Miami: Starting offense

1 senior
4 sophomore
5 jrs
1 fr

both have bascially the same age. So all this young stuff is pure BS.

man reading this weeks blogs, i could swear i was reading last weeks, and the week before. '72- more down lineman, gallo- fire dc, or somebody, no fans, too cold, too young, blah blah. this IS the team for this year. it won't change. it will be incredible if we even stay in the game this week. if it's somewhat close, it will give a little credibility to the program. winning would be Unbelievable. the canes need alot of work, sp teams gives up too much yardage. def, waay too much, and offense really isn't consistent where it needs, running the ball. if we lose, then NC is more important conference wise. making the VT game basically for the coastal if we beat NC. that would give great experience to the team, especially if we turn down a bowl. i hope not go canes

Jim Gallo your an ass, support the team and STFU. You haven't even given Golden a chance, based on your logic Schnelenberger would've been fired after his first season, or Jimmy Johnson for having 5 losses his first season... The man has inspired these kids and loves them. They play and compete harder than any team has in almost a decade. STFU FOOL

I wouldnt write off the Canes so quickly. They have shown they can score, at will some times. ND's offense is not scary at all. Their D is beast, yes, but their offense will struggle to put up 25+ if it comes to that... whereas even with Te'o and a stout ND defense, I still see James, Duke, Morris, Hurns, Scott, Dorsett and Co putting some solid points up Saturday. Too many weapons to slow down all night.

The biggest advantage imo is the 40 degree rainy weather theyre calling for.

ND GAME COMES DOWN TO THIS IF MIAMI CAN KEEP ND FROM CONTROLLING THE CLOCK WITH THE RUNNING GAME! YES ND WILL PLAY GOOD DEFENSE! BUT THEY MUST MATCH US IN THEIR WEAKEST AREA(SECONDARY) IF THEY CANNOT THEY LOSE BADLY! ND CANNOT GET INTO A SHOOT OUT! WHY? BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY THE GAME IS A SHOOT OUT IS BOTH TEAMS ARE SCORING FAST! IF IT'S THAT TYPE OF GAME MIAMI WINS EASILY! THE QUICK PASSES TO RECEIVERS WILL BRING THEM UP EVENTUALLY!ONCE THAT HAPPENS MORRIS IS GOING DEEP! YOU CANNOT DOUBLE TEAM ONE RECEIVER SO IT WILL BE MAN TO MAN! MORRIS WILL SLICE THE ZONE DEFENSE! ON OFFENSE ND IS NOT A GREAT PASSING TEAM! SO THEY MUST RUN FOR 300 YDS! THEY COULD DO THAT EASILY! BUT IF SOME OF THOSE DRIVES END IN FG INSTEAD OF TOUCHDOWNS! THEY ARE IN TROUBLE! MIAMI WILL KEEP COMMING TIL THEY SCORE AND SCORE AGAIN! ND BETTER BE UP IN 4TH QT BY MORE THAN 7 PTS OR THEY WILL LOSE! MIAMI IS PLAYING A STRATEGY THAT NO ONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TOO! THAT IS KEEP PASSING AND WEAR YOUR DEFENSE OUT BY THE 4TH QT! IF YOU CAN'T SCORE YOU WILL LOSE! MIAMI 38 ND 34!

@ LOSERTILLIDIE....DH

Michigan is better than NC State
Michigan State is better than BC
Navy is better than Ga Tech

So if you are not impressed by the Catholic's wins so far you should be less impressed, much less, by the Convicts close victories.
How long do you think you can outscore other teams fool?
Your lack of defense will soon catch up to you dUmmy.
Remember Manhattan? Say hello to Chicago.
Same results for you.
Only delUsional cane Morons get so exited by barely beating over rated ACC pansies. Play a real team and get stumped. That is who you are.

Is that all you got ACC SUCKS? C'mon, you can copy and paste better than that. I'm equally not impressed with your post as I am with ND's record/schedule. Michigan isn't that great since they gave up a total of 5 picks, 4 from Denard Robinson alone. 13-6 is a weird enough score if you ask me. Only thing, and I do mean the only thing that will keep ND in this game is their defense, nothing more. Their offense is atrocious. Enjoy the game troll.

Ahh how I love haters. They fuel that starts my day right after my colada.

GO CANES!!!
GO GOLDEN!!!
GO MIAMI!!!

Maybe you should do what I mentioned earlier and look at ND's schedule and then look at the schedule of the teams that they have played. Then you would have a better idea of what they are like without guessing. Just an educated opinion for an educated person.

GO CANES!!!!

I'm saying "educated person" because I hope that you do have some type of education even though you show a poor amount of it here. Food for thought.

@ LOSERTILLIDIE....DH
I have looked at all the teams played by both ND and the sorry canes and again find that the ACC pansies are no match for those Big 10 teams. Not just what I think, ask any national commentator or sports writer or sports radio talk guy Michigan State or Ga Tech? I think Middle Tenn answered that last week. BC or Michigan? Same answer.
Do you really believe you will be able to outscore every one all season long? This is a valid question. You are afraid of the answer.
This is a very "educated" question.

Not afraid because I have the answer. Actually a couple of answers.

1.Stephen Morris's arm and mobility.
2.Mike James aka WORK HORSE.
3.Phillip Dorsett's speed
4.Randy Duke Johnson's elusiveness and breakaway speed.

And to top it off, we have won the last few games without our star LB Denzel Perryman. And the rumors are true, he's back.

There's your educated answer. Since we're down on defense, we picked up the slack on offense. Now one of our top tacklers, who has been missing, has returned. Our defense has been poorer since his injury and now he'll boost it in every way.

LETS GO CANES!!!
LETS GO CANES!!!
LETS GO CANES!!!
LETS GO CANES!!!

There are so many dumb comments to choose from when selecting the bonehead comment of the day, it becomes difficult to sort through them all. Unfortunately for those of you wishing to win this award, the competition is locked up by Gallo and his various names.

The inability to grasp what a 2 deep roster is and then use that complicated math called counting and then doing a % in order to see undergrad % is a candidate. But, the winner is that "the NFL looks to bowl players first... always" Sure they do. That's why they spend millions on scouting and combines and draft lots of guys from DII and the 'directional" schools. And no one would have draft Barkley had he come out right? Not without that meaningless bowl game on his junior year resume.

The sequel to Dumb and Dumber was just announced as Dumb and Dumber To (kinda funny I think), but I'd have gone with Dumb, Dumber and Gallo.

Why engage FSU or Gaytors fans? We are rebuilding the program, year 2 and we know we're not there yet. What we die hard Canes fans want to see is improvement and a team that competes every saturday. We all know the state teams haven't exactly been dominant as in past years so none have bragging rights. ND has taken over 10 years to return to the top 10. I figure with the lack of depth and top quality competition at many positions it'll take us 4 recruiting classes and we're just at the second class. 2014 will be when our competitors, media and fans take notice the Canes are back and 2015 will be when we'll re-emerge into the top 10. We've already impacted FSU and Gaytors ability to recruit top S. Fla talent and we'll only make it more difficult. The rep "South Florida" theme has to become engrained in the area players like that song you keep singing.

we are gonna win it's a cane thing they don't like it because we are on our way up we are young but we will be great in 2 years put your money up or shut up let's go canes it's us against the world.

They need to put 7 Telemaque back in the starting line up.We need thatleadership on the field! you ND fools are sleeping on these canes! Thays perfect we got them exactly we want them... sleepn! Canes allllll day. baby 7s. bih. Big bro

As Always...ND is favorite. Always respect that when they make their schedule a few years in advance they fill it with good teams. Problem...by the time the year comes..those previously great teams they were to play have turned into "puff". Soooo, the mighty UMich, MichSt, & Purdue are WEAK and ND could only beat them by 7 points at most. If UM can be ahead over a touchdown by halftime, "forgitaboutit", UM breaks top 25......
