Good morning.
First, the injury news: third-year junior tailback Eduardo Clements, one of the most devoted and hard-working Canes that I have come across, is out for the season with an injury not yet disclosed to us. Feel so bad for him and the team.
In seven games this season, Eduardo had 16 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns this season as the third-team tailback who is used primarily as a third-down specialist.
He also had two catches for 11 yards.
Eduardo also played on special teams, and had four tackles this season.
We're waiting for practice to end. Please note that the new depth chart only lists Mike James and Duke Johnson at running back -- not Dallas Crawford.
Stephen Morris was out there practicing today for the first 15 minutes we could view. He had his injured left ankle taped.
Also: I noticed DE Shayon Green was wearing a first-team black jersey today, as well as linebacker Jimmy Gaines.
THE NEW DEPTH CHART WAS JUST RELEASED. HERE IT IS.

Very few seniors on the 2 deep, with the exception of kickers.
Bodes well for the future if coaching clicks.
Hate to see Eduardo out, and wish him well in
recovering and returning for his senior season.
Beat VA. Tech. We are due...

^ I agree!
I also find it funny how RS was blamed for every injury, but not a peep the last year & a half.. Ha! I wonder why.. Get well, EC!

Nice...looking forward to the incoming recruiting class. The guys have not stopped fighting, which is good. We'll be watching the defense and hoping for progress.

Thats because we hated us some Randy Shannon.

Too bad for Clements, you fools need all the help you can get. Too bad for Calvin Klein and all the drama around his dismissal, you dUmmies need to get your house in order. Who's in charge here? Has Golden Corral got a clue?
The injury to Clements is big for a team with so few players and no depth. Forced to play the freshmen for lack of better talent, or for disdain for Shannon's players or both.
This dire situation won't improve simply because of attrition. You will always have injuries and you will always have some players transfer or just leave the team. You have no depth now and that will not improve in the next few years. Golden Corral has not fared well in recruiting and the future will be no different. Less recruits and the normal attrition will keep your team with little depth and talent for years to come.
And the cane wagonner said, It sUcks to sUck.

Clements seemed to be under utilized this year. I wonder if he was slowed by an injury prior to this report. I hate to see the kid hurt because he's such a team player.

Maybe climents can get a medical red shirt.. And people got tired of randy talking about injuries and young players for four years..if al is talking about young players in year four the media should hammer him too.

whats the deal with Dallas Crawford?
We need:
- a physical rb.
- a physical ( I mean a 6-4, 6-5 wide receiver)
- defensive line.

I think Luther Robinson showed class in apologizing, as did his dad who called Golden. Every father wants his son to excel.
And on Kelvin Cain, I am glad Golden is willing to work with him. I hope he is back on the team and contributes up front.
A W this Thursday would do everybody's head good. Hope our offense cranks it up and puts up serious points. Would love to see Duke around end with some blockers out front breaking a few long runs.
Still don't get why our LBs often play 5 yards off the ball when the D line has trouble stopping the run? If it is for underneath coverage, that ain't working.
The VT QB will hit the RB in the flat, and will zone read up the middle, and the backers should be in proximity to the line of scrimmage. Otherwise, it's 8 - 10 yards at a crack.
Hope the D exceeds expectations. We need good LB coverage and CBs hitting on outside runs.
GO CANES!

Coach Golden says. "If you feel you should start, go and take whats yours."
Good pointm maybe ot has been hurt this year.
At this point, should we try and just get a redshirt for Curtis Porter?
Grimble is no at De??? Shows how much star rankings mean. He was a 4 or 5 star in nevada and cant beat out 3 star florida kids. BTW, sileo rants we dont recruit good linemen. Mccord and Jelani were also considered 5 stars.

good point.
If a player wants to start he should prove it. In the off season and in practice, in the spring and when the season starts..
Where did you all read that Golden is willing to work with Cain?

I think Golden is going to lose the locker room eventually.

Mike you know nothing about the locker room then

You answered your own question about where the lb's play when you talked about the DL
