Gameday blog: Miami at Virginia

The Canes (5-4, 4-2 ACC) are playing in Charlottesville this afternoon and taking on a 3-6, 1-4 Virginia team minus four starters: WR Rashawn Scott (suspended indefinitely), LB Eddie Johnson (didn't make the trip), S Deon Bush (stinger) and LB Denzel Perryman (ankle).

Kickoff is set for noon and the game can be seen on ABC.

this is the one loss that does it for me. I've tried to be patient with golden and d'onofrio but this one flat out does it. You lose to a team you're supposed to beat with a crappy defense, this defense absolutely got walked over and pushed around like a damn airplane beverage cart!! d'onofrio you need to get your head out of your behind and learn to freekin coach!!!!!!

I will never understand why we cannot beat Virginia. It makes no sense at all. We really needed to run more clock when we had the ball on the UVA 40 with 5:20 left in the game. Instead, we throw the ball three times and run less than 1 minute off the clock. We suck, plain and simple, We SUCK!

A 2 man rush on the last play and they still let the man get behind the. I cna see such mistakes early in the season but these people have not imporved much in any since game one. Defensive Coordinator is in need of some help for sure.

Getting the ball on the other teams 40 after a great kick off and no first downs then a punt.

Golden's butt looks like brass today. He is still in a learning process for sure as is his staff.

Both of the last QB's have cost this team games for years.

If I was into conspiracy theories, I'd think we blew it to let the ACC off the hook. If we beat USF we can impose a ban to a lower tier bowl and not the ACCCG...that is the only other reason besides the DC being a complete failure. Being young at this stage in the game is no excuse. I'm sure there are other teams with injuries and others with young players that don't make VA look like Oregon!
