The comments below from an ESPN article say it all. The NCAA, by any measure a completely dysfunctional organization, is admitting how screwed up they are, but despite that are going full speed ahead to torpedo the University of Miami by employing the admittedly screwed-up organization’s tainted findings…absolutely f’ing mind-blowing.

~The NCAA's interim director of enforcement said Thursday that his charge is to restore confidence in the investigative staff and process.

~"I would like presidents to know when enforcement shows up on their campus, they may not agree with the findings, but they will feel they have been treated fairly," Jonathan Duncan said.

~Duncan, who said his role is for at least 18 months, succeeds Julie Roe Lach, forced out in the wake of an independent report that concluded information was improperly obtained during a University of Miami investigation.

~Duncan said he could not comment about the Miami investigation.

Real discussion. Just the Facts I like your comments. Real knowledge. Calvin , Tally cane and Jim Gallo are excellent recruiters for FSU and Ark. Big Al needs to put the hard hat on and work 24/7 just to compete with these guys.

Correction from last post. Not Tally cane. But Canejunkie

[]_[] Cane fans ready to travel ?

U stay at home

Ain't it great to be a Florida GATOR Arty !!!

The biggest recruiter for Fsu & the gaytors is that defensive scheme with clown 1117th running it. The biggest recruiter for Ark is goldie and his ability to be non-accountable to his own word no matter what information james coley may have brought to him, no need to show sensitivity at the last minute, keep your word. Other than that, offensive recruits have/had no problems coming here, why, because they can see themselves actually being successful in the scheme and right now the new recruits have the confidence in james coley.

Here is a real fact, we only got 7 defensive players in this past class, unless lil ray, corn or lockley are moving to the defensive side of the ball right now we sitting at onl 7 defensive players and only 2 were d-linemen. How is it that a team that was ranked 117th are only getting mostly offensive players. I'm not into getting caught up in all the early recruiting talk, but next year's class has 5 commits, and guess what, they're already all offensive.

Until we start playing real defense around here, it's going to be easy for these other defensive college coaches to just cut the film on, show our defensive stats and just say, "look, you can go to Miami and hope to play defense or you can come here and play defense". The "come in and help us get this thing turned around" talk is not going to work on the defensive recruits when a guy like will muschamp can prove that in year 1 to year 2 under him they were one of the strongest defenses in the nation so he has a system that works. Fsu is playing top notch defense, but odell haggins vs jethro franklin, you already know who's going to win that battle and jethro got shut out when it came to getting Florida defensive linemen.

How am I a recruiter for FSU? I don't even menrion FSU

Canesjunkie dont mind calvin. He is a bitter no cane racist.

Calvin We can agree on that post. I do see a lack of defensive recruits.Especially defensive line. They also are lacking big running back. I'm talking 6ftr 220lbs 4.5 or 4.6 40 time to open up holes and get out the way so Duke can take it to the house or get those tough yards between the tackles. Big bruising back that will punish the other team defense.

Aren't these little one and done Canes fun? It is nice to see Geritol Jim wringing some production out of these perennial underachievers. I'm hopin these Canes actually win it today. It's cute. Blind squirrel, meet nut. The problem if they win it is that forever more we'll hear these do nothing fans drone on and on about how We're a dominant championship basketball program......GAWD.

ACC tourney aside, canes will exit the dance early. Back to obscurity. Enjoy it Cinderella

Add in the fact that travis rudolph de-committed, WHY, because they wanted him to be a db. In other words he'll come here if he can play offense but he's not trying to be apart of 117th unit on defense. It's also not the players as well, we'll see how they develop the players under their system, going into year 3, we'll the guys like corey king(who i think is a solid player)ricardo williams, 3g, olsen pierre, jalen grimble, junior alexis, this will be the year where the excuses are out the window, if guys are still going to the wrong way on defense or are free-lancing and this and that, it's all on coaching.

You tell me, besides mike barrow, what other defensive coach(goldie included)is going to reel in the defensive players, although paul williams has good potential when it comes to the safety position but when it comes to getting db's, if we're going to primarily be a zone team, getting corners is going to be a task to as well. Here are the real facts, clown 117th & jethro vs coach odell haggins!

• Haggins has been instrumental in developing one of the nation's finest interior defensive lines, building depth with a group that at one point in 2011 was four-deep at each position. His regular rotation of Anthony McCloud, Everett Dawkins, Cameron Erving and freshman All-American Timmy Jernigan produced 100 tackles, including 16.5 behind the line of scrimmage. FSU's run defense allowed opposing backs to average just 2.35 yards per carry, which led all 120 FBS programs.

The Seminoles ranked fourth nationally in total defense (275.0), second in rushing defense (82.69), fourth in scoring defense (15.1), eighth in tackles for loss (8.62) and tied for eighth in sacks (3.08 per game). The Seminoles led the ACC in eight different defensive categories. Jernigan earned first team freshman All-American honors from several publications after posting 30 tackles, six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. Despite losing Erving to the offensive line, Haggins unit should be strong again in 2012. Three of his top four tacklers return in 2012, and the unit gets a boost with the return of Jacobbi McDaniel, who missed the final seven games of 2011 as well as top defensive tackle recruits Eddie Goldman and Justin Shanks

Muschamp stinks...bring those fools on because we're on scared of anyone.

Can't wait till next episode of " Swamp Peopel".

FSUSUX HAS not had to have 3 years of looming sanctions while recruiting and with a loaded team, deep with studs, and a weak sched, dumbos best season was 10-2 in reg season, this past yr. With talent like that, fsu should have been a monster for 3 years now, so lets not exaggerate their coaching. We are going to roll past that team this year, AS FAR AS TALENT, who cares if some kid didn't want to commit 1 yr b4 signing day(Rudolf), big effin deal.....Danny Dillard is a big back, and Gus Edwards the #1 RB In NY runs the 4.5/4.6 40 and is that eddie lacy bruiser type

We will have a top 5 class, and Rudolph was our weakest rated player. U don't want to play here, don't play here..................DT's will be plenty in this class

Muschamp stinks...bring those fools on because we're on scared of anyone.

Posted by: Canesjunkie | March 17, 2013 at 10:12 AM

I'm not scared of any team, it's our escort service defensive scheme!

bottom line, if sony Michel(when( he commits, that's 2 five star Rbs in this class, added to corn elder and gus Edwards in 13 class so by the 2014 season, we will (duke will be a jr) have possibly the deepest rb, te,wr, n qb in the nation. Not many people have that much skill position. COrn Elder 2 times mr football in Tenn, Edwards rated #1 in Ny, and Yearby is a 5 star on most sites, and sony Michel is the #1 rb in the nation.
Talent is growing on trees again. At mIami, we would lose half the starters, 5-6 #1 pix, and just reload. Well coach G is getting us back to that.
We have two 5 star DT's (not counting rest) in our backyard this year. But Id be happy if we got 4 three star DTs that wanted to work.

Enjoy the bashig while U can. Just like the U basketball team, we are just gonna explode onto the scene this year. Entire O LIne Back, RB check, QB check, WR's check plus 2 new additions, TE Check plus added #1 Juco TE. LOADED.
ALL DEFENSE IS BACK, then U add Alquaddin muhammed, the Nigerian nightmare espn juco 100 Komalu, D Bond rivals juco 100 DE, Defense will b a top 30 D this year on our way to the Nat champ game.

BY THE WAY, jimmy G AND CAL, why do we count kids that didn't sign here as golden casualties? If Kirkland and Collins flame out in college and we never hear about them again, who the eff cares............WE added Mr Football from Tennessee and the #1 WR/HB/TE in Derrick Griffin #33 overall in espn 150 with Kirkland and Collins spots. To me, al got kids that want to be here, and he got kids that are highly rated for the basketball team also. When Griffin lead his bball team to the champ last week, he flashed the u. This kid was top 50 on all sites.........FREAK OF NATURE.
A kid that didn't want to b here is not a loss. Kirkland is gonna get hammered by Clowney and all those Big DT's in the SEC and he has bust written all over him, Soft, wont play for hometown team, slid down in rankings, and I am glad he moved on.

We want kids that want to play for the U baby. It all happens, only at the U.

Even with the pell grant scandal of the 90s, and the fake Shapiro scandal now, and the bad recruiting of coker, we still have the most title in 30 years, not counting the 2 stolen(88 game vs No Dame on the U documentary) and 03 fiesta bowl, BOTH BLOWN REF CALLS.........no dame ref even came out and said Miami won the game. And notre dame feared Miami so much that instead of a rematch in the fiesta bowl, they went to another bowl and canes blew out Nebraska in 89 orange bowl................'

Notre Dame , take that cheated title away, hasn't won a friggin nt in 40-50 years. U cant leave the game in the hands o the refs when u go to no dame.................7 rings, officially 5 and that doesn't even count the 87 fiesta when we blew out PSU but effin Vinnie testaverde thru 5 pix and we still had 1st n goal to win that game and Vinnie thru another pic ..............IT ALL HAPPENS, ONLY AT THE U

UFelons are gonna get hammered on sept 7, lets See muschumps vaunted D get smacker around. Its gonna b payback baby, Just like we have won 8 of 9 in the series. We are the #1 O in the country by far, including Oregon. By the end of the 13 season, we should have 5-6 All americans on offense. by the 14-15 draft, we will be back to #1 draft picks.

Oh, and we still have the most NFL players by far, with our down times. The UFelons an FSUCKS are way down on the list..........U come to Miami to play in the league, and that's what Golden preaches.... U go to UF to get arrested n fsu to drive thru trailer parks

If we are a top 30 defense come next year in the majority of the major defensive categories, ypg, run & pass defense and tfl's, deep into the season, i'll lay off oach OH-NO. I won't even worry about turn-overs caused, although with the way this scheme is, it needs alot of turn-overs in order to seem sucessful.

I could careless what guys might "flame out" in college, hose 2 deserved to have a chance to flame out here, that's the main point. It's not about whether a kid commits or not, it's about not snatching their opportunity up at the last minute, than trying to hand it back to em at the last minute because it seemed like amnesia set in so let's re-offer cause matthew thomas didn't sign yet, just a stupid move. No matter what info james coley brought in, just let it play out without all the drama.

Than they had to try and get the troll on a conference call to the family, nobody was buying that crap by than, the disrespect was already done.

When tim walton was the d-co here for 1 year and our defense was nowhere near as bad as it is now and shannon & walton got crucified, oach OH-NO is sitting at 117th and the hypocrites keep making excuses for em and he's was in year 2, this year, the excuses are over more than enuff time to began to resemble some form of resistance on defense.

Against notre shame, all they did was run 2 inside receivers up the seams while we had one safety in the middle of the field, while trying to have our linebackers cover them, is that youth or scheme!

The good thing is if he has another bad year in defense he will have to be fired. The bad thing is if we're bad on defense that means we havnt won a national championship. Lets win the the acc again today. The U

Who cares about Rudolph. He knows what's up.
We have 4 returning quality WR. In addition we got 2 of the top ten WRs in the country coming in. Plus the class of 2014 is loaded with local WR talent that we have the "in-on".
He wouldn't see the field for 3 yrs.

The point was not whether or not he was coming here, the point was more of, as soon as they told him they want him on the defensive side of the ball, he jetted out, just another sign playing defense here right now is not attractive!

Do you think you are the only Canes fan that has concerns about the defense and defensive coordinator?

Most every Canes fan is more than aware that vast improvement must occur defensively if Miami is to once again compete for National Championships. But, you and the rest of us we will not know if Coach Golden’s faith in Coach D’Onofrio is warranted until next football season. Your speculation is just that, speculation.

That said, if your goal is to ruin this blog with your non-stop, mindlessly redundant posts about the defensive coordinator and Coach Golden then you are doing an excellent job.

Much like Gallo’s redundant lie filled posts on the same worn-out topics, you have also placed yourself in the clown hall of fame…no one takes you seriously!

And the thought of 5 more months of you posting the same thing day after day after day is nauseating.

calvin is a dumb hater,

It was funny listening to vitale mentioning the investigation and hearing him say Miami hiring coach larranaga and goldie were 2 of the smartest moves. I wanted to say come on man, don't hype 7 & 6(with veteran talent) goldie up like that, he's not in the same class as jim larranaga. larranaga understands how to coach in the moment. When it's a tight game, jim is telling them exactly what a real coach should tell them and they're reflecting alot of jim larranaga's traits and now they're champions(acc regular & tournament champions). What larranaga did with geroge mason getting to the final four is light years ahead of what coach goldie did at temple and all goldie did at temple was help them win a few games and got a 1st round draft pick but it's not like that state/P.A. doesn't have talent!

So it is with the football team, like goldie likes to say "be the same guy everyday" and that's exactly how we come out after halftime on defense, same scheme everyday/game and get picked apart and the team has taking on goldie's traits, mediocre.

vitale only said that because he, golden and larranaga are all italian.....thats all.....I fell of my chair as well when I heard it....

like jimmy always said...."fatigue makes cowards of all of us"...UM today was in shape....same guys played the whole game....thats huge....but UM football is more "thug"

trash talk
a little arrest here and there...
bad boys dont get kicked off team

sorry...this is the 80's...I dont buy that "things are different now" stuff.....nope

Basketball and football are 2 completely different animals. Football is also way more people to manage. John Wooden come back from the dead to coach here, you'd still be saying he shouldve let EJ do what he does.

canes got a great draw go canessssssss

The U gets disrespected with a 2 seed even though iu lost yesterday. Had duke or unc won the acc like miami did, they would have been a lock at 1 all announcers agree. No matter.

The hate on the U is palpable.

The NCAA is squirming

Next yr the same.

vitale only said that because he, golden and larranaga are all italian.....thats all.....I fell of my chair as well when I heard it....
Posted by: Jim Gallo | March 17, 2013 at 05:34 PM

vitale is always going to hype of his compadres. The funny thing is, it's obvious who runs college basketball ball, alot of money gets moved during that time. It's like back in the day, when they only recruited Italian qb's to UM, the obvious ones, kosar, testaverde, gino torretta, costa(one of the sorriest qb's ever). I could careless though who plays qb here as long as they balling, but that did seem like the good old days.

Also, i like us having a #2 seed, no big deal, to me seeding is like recruiting rankings, means nothing until you actually play the game. That's why i like larranaga, he said it right when he said "we don't care where they put us, wherever they put us we'll be happy and appreciate it". In other words, no crying about anything, just take the hand you were dealt and make it happen. Quit crying about tmz, an improve what you have, goldie take notes!

I'll tell you...I think Louisville and UM in final. UM beats Indiana....Indiana not playing that good.

5>3>2...your an idiot as always.....UM is in the east with Indiana....UM is not going to be seeded higher....not from #9..but who cares.....UM vs Indiana...then to play Ohio state in semi...then to the final against Louisville...that's my bracket

Folks, you have to understand that Gallo comes from a business segment littered with cheats and liars…Gallo being one of them. He was attracted to this field much like a rodent to cheese.

The Gallo’s of the world will look you in the eye and shake your hand while stealing money from you and your children and not give it a second thought.

They (Gallo) also believe if they repeat their lies enough times they magically become the truth, which is proven by his redundant lie filled posts.

These creeps, pond scum, Gallo nation never stop because they are for the most part narcissistic and pathological liars believing they are always right and have zero integrity. Also, trying to reason with this sub-species is a fool’s errand.

So, Gallo will never stop his lies and knowingly misleading comments as they will only grow with the passage of time.

But, here’s the good news, we visit this site as a fun diversion and a way to talk HONESTLY about our Canes and then we go about our lives and enjoy our families, whereas Gallo’s life is pitiful and filled with hate (he will deny this) that is caused by the same maladjusted behavior he exhibits on this blog.

frank costa, lol oh man...way back that's funny.....do you realize that jacory harris will be the second best UM QB if morris goes under 4000 yards next year? He needs 3958 and 42 more TD's to tie harris.....

jacory harris was very productive...

People who don't know football keep blasting j70, but if j70 had the same coaching staff and same o-lines & receivers as ken dorsey he would've had all the UM qb records. He did alot of work with matt "turn-style" pipho as his starting right tackle. matt gave it all he had though, just didn't have enuff talent to be top notch.

ANd the main thing people don't realize about jacory, he was one of the most accurate qb's in UM history. He completed over 60% of his passes better than dorsey. I have nothing against dorsey except the way he played against ohio st. He got punked in that game, but dorsey hada plethora of 1st round picks surrounding him, you put jacory on a team that butch davis built, it wouldn't have been fair.

I try not to think about costa, the most frustrating qb in UM history!

116th or 117th in Total Defense (yards allowed) doesnt really matter because they both mean the defense was horrible, however, please pick one and stick with it.
