Day 2 of UM Hurricanes spring football practice: Tyriq McCord, Deon Bush, Phillip Dorsett, Tracy Howard

It was another beautiful day at Greentree Field on Sunday, with Day Two of spring practice in the books.

Coach Al Golden seemed pleased, saying the team "got a lot done'' and had "good energy again.''

Golden said he is now the special teams coordinator, taking the place of Micheal Barrow, who remains the linebackers coach. "I've been working with special teams my whole career,'' Golden said. "We wanted to free up Micheal to continue to recruit the way he recruits down here and also focus on the linebackers. A lot of them are very young, and they're going to have a lot to do.''

*Tyriq McCord has made the switch from defensive end to outside linebacker. Golden said "it's really not much of a departure for him'' because "he worked at open-side end or [strong-side] linebacker for us, and then obviously rushed the passer for us on third down.''

Last October, McCord, then a freshman, said sometimes he got "pushed around'' because he had only 232 pounds on his 6-3 frame. He started the 2012 season weighing 227, he told us Sunday. Today, he said he weighs 236 and would eventually like to hit 245.

He said he's eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to keep his weight up.

He said he "took the challenge'' of changing positions to "help out my teammates.''

"The reaction time is much faster'' being a linebacker, said McCord, who had 15 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles-for-loss and a fumble recovery last season. "I really see how fast the game is going because I have to read everything. I get to play out in space and sometimes I get to put my hand in the dirt -- I move the D-line sometimes. I get to run around and use my speed a little bit more.''

*Herb Waters, a rising sophomore receiver, had 10 catches for 227 yards and two touchdowns last season for a team-high 22.7-yards-per-catch average. He said quarterback Stephen Morris is looking very strong. "Better than ever,'' said Waters, who, according to Golden, had one of the best off-seasons. "I just worked out with my [more experienced] receivers and they've been helping me get better time-wise and in the weight room.''

*Safety Deon Bush, another rising sophomore, said this spring "feels very different having a year under my belt. Now I feel more comfortable out there and got adjusted to the speed. Sometimes it was difficult last year not knowing what was going on but I just had to learn quick.

Bush, who had 34 tackles and three forced fumbles in 2012, struggled with stingers last year, but said his "neck is stronger than ever. I've been rehabbing it in the offseason and just working hard getting bigger and stronger.'' He is listed as 6-1 and 201 pounds.

*Phillip Dorsett, a 5-9, 185-pound rising junior out of Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas High, was the leading receiver last season with 58 catches for 842 yards and four touchdowns.

He said competing in track has "helped me get in way better condition than last year.'' He also has put on five pounds since last season, weighing in now at 184 -- nearly 20 pounds heavier than as a freshman.

* And Tracy Howard, a rising sophomore cornerback out of Miramar High, seemed contented and happy Sunday.

Howard is back in the coveted black jersey worn by defensive starters, and ready to replace his mentor, departed cornerback Brandon McGee.

“The key is, he just had to live up to our expectation, not what the outside’s expectation was for him,’’ defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio said Sunday. “Once they become comfortable and understand that they don’t have to, Day One, come in and be the best corner that ever played… That’s unrealistic, and it’s really not fair.

“He’s improved because he’s doing exactly what we’re asking him to do. He’s improved because he’s [doing] the same thing that got him here. The reason why he had such success in high school is because he really loves and game and he will work really, really hard at it.’’

Howard ended his first season with 17 tackles and four pass breakups. He played in all 12 games and started the final one at Duke. He’s now listed as a starter opposite junior Ladarius Gunter, who had 27 tackles in 12 games (five starts) last season, plus an interception, two fumble recoveries and six pass breakups.

“I learned to be more patient,'' he said of last year's experience. Everybody wants to come in and be very dominant. But at the cornerback position it takes a lot of learning.”

No 5 game passes here, that defense better be swarming this year.

We know what real Cane football is supposed to look like. Not that we don't support the U we are just calling like we see it. We can have all the talent in the world but unless the dc incorporates an attacking man to man type scheme regardless of whether its a 4-3 or not we will not win anything of significance. I think the 4-3 and the 46 are the best defense out there but the way we play them is ineffective. Golden and company want us to play like the bend and don't break teams of old. That will not fare well with us because we play in a region that is based on speed. You keep giving big chunks of yardage up and hoping you will stop them when they get in to the red zone is playing with fire. Take for instance the bc at the end of the goldens first year. Garbage bc held the ball for almost 36 minutes and we ended up with an loss.

Dom and others who do not understand football, including DC D'O,

Miami would occasionally go to a four man defensive rush and man to man pass coverage for two downs and cause third and long. But then, moronically, the DC would go to a three man rush and zone pass coverage which is what the DC did all last year. The other team then gets an easy pass to an open receiver and the ball gets moved down the field.

It does not matter if you have all pro DEs and LBs with a three man rush and zone coverage. A good college QB will get a first down either by passing to an open receiver or running for first down.

ROFL, come on man, it's the gaytors, if we DOMINATE them, not just beat them, but DOMINATE, i'mma give them a 5 games pass, but if we just barely beat them, it'll be back to posting as usual!

Looks like the people who know what football is are posting today, they don't know man, keep skooling em!

Golden must figure out a defense that doesn't give up so many first downs. To many times we had teams in 3 and long and then the offense would run to the first down and sit down in the zones and pick up the first down. This happened from the bc game this to the last game at duke. Sacks and 3rd down defense is what he must focus on.

THE AL GOLDEN FOOTBALL CAMP

The University of Miami coaching staff will be assisted by full-time coaches from Division I, I-AA, II, III, and 'premier High School coaches' from the Southeast Region. The opportunity for youth league and high school football players to work with some of the best coaches in the region offers each camper the maximum level of exposure and training.

All campers will benefit from the same facilities and training as the current members of the Miami Hurricanes Football Team.

Coaches!

Send us your email. We are looking to create a network of high school and youth coaches and fans who want to learn the game from the University of Miami Football Staff.

THIS YEAR I'M JUST HOPING THAT FINALLY THIS TEAM PLAYS CANE FOOTBALL STYLE! THIS MEANS HAVING YOUR BEST PASS RUSHER RUSHING THE QB AND NOT PLAYING LB! LAST YEAR THE PROBLEM WAS HE NEEDED ADDED WEIGHT ? WELL HE'S DONE THAT AND WHAT DO THESE SO CALLED EXCELLENT COACHES DO ? THEY MOVE HIM TO LINEBACKER! WTF? LOOK WE NEED PRESSURE ON THE QB AND TACKLES FOR LOSS. I DON'T SEE SHAYLON CAN'T GET A SACK " GREEN CHANGING POSITIONS? ALSO WHAT IS WRONG WITH A CB WHO OBVIOUSLY HAS THE TALENT TO START HAS TO MEET THE STANDARDS OF A DC WHO DOESN'T KNOW CRAP ABOUT DEFENSE EXCEPT MAKING EXCUSES. YES HE IS THE COACH BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE PLAYERS KNOW WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T. HOWARD CAME IN AS A SHUT DOWN CB AND TO NOW TRY TO MAKE HIM A PREVENT CB IS STUPID AND DOESN'T HELP HIS GROWTH! DUNNO MUST STOP SCHEMING "SCARED" PLAYING 10 YARDS OFF THE BALL AND WONDERING WHY YOU CAN'T GET TO THE QB. IMPROVE THE PASS RUSH AND THE CANES WILL BEAT BOTH FLA/FLA.ST BUT IF NOT THEY WILL NOT. WITH PORTER BACK AND THE DT DEPTH I FEEL THEY WILL BE IMPROVED AGAINST THE RUN BUT TEAMS KNOW WITH THE CANE 'S OFFENSE THEY MUST SCORE POINTS!! THIS IS WHY THEY WILL BE TRYING TO THROW THE BALL ALL OVER THE PLACE. THE GATORS WERE NOT STRONG IN THAT AREA LAST YEAR BUT IF NO PASS RUSH FROM THE CANES, THERE QB WILL LOOK LIKE"JOHNNY FOOTBALL" AGAINST US. PRESSURE HIM AND GET SACKS(5-6) AND THE CANES WILL CRUSH THE GATORS EASY!!! GO CANES 2013 ACC CHAMPS!

The GATORS SUCK in Baseball this year...

What's that make []_[] ?

Hey, Pig. You still suck you maggot. Defending that underachieving piece of garbage Sully? All the facilities, blah, blah, blah, and your team sucks. Not even sniffing titles with that sick redneck coach.

You suuuuuuuckkkkk, Piiiiiiiggggggggg.

BWWAHAHAHAHAAA

We are getting quality players. The competition for positions has increased and we have more experienced players. So its not unreasonable for Canes fans to expect a couple more wins. Outside of FSU and Gaytors we should be expected to beat the others. So 9-2 is very reasonable. Given our defense can contain these 2 state teams then we'll have a chance for an upset on one. But August is so far away! They need to start having 2 games against opponents, one on each Sat following end of Spring practice. Neither would count and only be 10 min quarters. Then like high school you'll have one game to begin the season that doesn't count before starting the regular season.

Tell me you wouldn't love the shitz!

REFUTING MORE OF GALLO LIES…A NEVER ENDING JOB!

Al Golden and Temple…a true success story!

Golden was named head football coach at Temple University in December 2005, as the second-youngest head coach in NCAA football at that time, behind Northwestern's Pat Fitzgerald. Temple had a record of 3–31 during the three years before Golden was hired, and had just been thrown out of the Big East Conference for non-competitiveness.

In Golden's first three years at the helm, Temple recorded 1–11 in 2006, 4–8 in 2007 and then 5–7 mark in 2008. The 2008 record was the best for the program since a 7–4 mark in 1990.

Under Golden’s leadership the Owls finished the 2009 regular season at 9–3, their first winning season since 1990. It was also their best record since 1979, the last time they appeared in a postseason game, before facing the UCLA Bruins in the EagleBank Bowl on December 29, 2009. After leading for three quarters, the Owls fell to the Bruins 30–21. Golden led the Owls to an 8–4 record in 2010.

Golden was widely praised for saving the Temple program and recognized for achieving a turnaround that most considered an impossibility.

Golden was interviewed for the vacant head coach position at UCLA in December 2007. However, he withdrew his name from consideration on December 26, 2007, choosing to stay with his up-and-coming Temple program. Following the 2009 season, he was also a candidate for the head coaching position at the University of Cincinnati vacated by Brian Kelly, who departed for Notre Dame. He later asked that his name be withdrawn from consideration from that position as he was interested in a position at a larger university. That same offseason, he was also approached for the job at Tennessee vacated by Lane Kiffin, who went to Southern California in which he concluded for a variety of reasons was not a good fit for him and his family.

Susan, can we ban the UF and FSU homers that rip your blog ? remove their IP's? lol

You don't say, oh so this is what's been happening, the staff & many who post here say once we have 20 year seniors the defense will than start to work, so are you sure about the plan you just posted, that has worked for us for over 25 years or are you saying this new innovative(wait till they get in the redzone and pump your fist/arm defense)give up 500 yards every week but keep the average score to under 40 points a game is not the way to go!

2010 - randy shannon

total defense - 4203 yards / 37 sacks for 241 yrd loss / 16 INT's - #22 rank

2011 - golden

total defense - 4319 yards / 23 sacks for 118 yrd loss / 6 INT's - #45 ranked

2012 - golden

total defense - 5837 yards / 13 sacks for 86 yrd loss / 11 INT's - #116 ranked

2010 Temple - with golden/dnofrio
#89 total offense
#16 total defense

2011 Temple - without golden/dnofrio
#63 total offense
#12 total defense

When you start out lined up 10 to 12 yards off the receiver and than start taking off downfield even further right before the ball is hiked, of course you're going to have to be more patient because you'll be so far away from the action it'll take alot of time before you see some.

“Before we’re telling everybody how to make changes, I hope we’re looking at Mark’s record in terms of playing defense, in terms of his track record, in terms of player development,’’ Golden said. “And to be honest with you, Mark should be as mad as anybody, because imagine coming to the University of Miami and having to play a bunch of kids. Imagine being saddled with that. He’s the one who should be mad"

tk swan, keep pointing out the facts so you can help us wake up alot of these clowns in here man, they bulking up tyriq mccord only to use him in pass coverages. Notice the trend with this defense crew, the bigger you get, the more they'll use you in coverage. I think we have the best d-line coverage team in the nation now, with curtis porter covering the flats, shayon green covering runningbacks 20 yards downfield, now we'll have tyriq out in space, as soon as 3g learns how to back pedal he'll be back their too.

Uh oh, more expose' in full effect, but he said she didn't have enuff depth on defense. Maybe if he stopped practicing the art of moving defensive guys to tight-end & the o-line and only one man stood up(luther robinson say PLUCK NO) and now, we're moving defensive coaches(hurlie brown) to the offensive side of the ball too, "DESERVE VICTORY" must only mean on the offensive side of the ball.

The way we play defense, we play defense at UM now like we're the only team in college football with a salaray cap and have allocated most of our resources on just the offensive side of the ball and don't have any money left to bring in defensive guys.

good news: dnofrio is mad
bad news: he had no one to work with when he got here

his is now becoming to easy....lol

please.....there is NO WAY anyone can tell me that the defensive population just posted is weak....with the right DC they would be a top 10 defense.....those are really good players....

this is all BS protection of total incompetence..

Have you noticed that when Gallo's lies are refuted he goes on a posting rampage with numerous additional attempts to twist and confuse the facts?

He has lied about so much it is impossible to list it all, but his deceit regarding Al Golden and Temple is nothing short of insane. And when I and others post FACTS that prove he's a flat-out liar he now claims that Gator coach Steve Addazio who succeeded Coach Golden is really the one who deserves credit for the 'they said it couldn't be done' historic Temple turnaround.

With the above Gallo insanity in mind; now that Golden’s program has been in the hands of Addazio's for a short period of time the Owls posted a 4 & 7 record last year and Addazio’s job is at risk as qualified football people are saying that Addazio has gone away from the football culture and model Al Golden installed. The year or so after Golden left Temple the Owls found success due to Al’s recruits and programs. Addazio inherited an up and coming program at Temple and has now destroyed it, unlike what Coach Golden inherited at Miami, which was a program in a death spiral that was exasperated by a brutal NCAA investigation/attack that still hasn’t ended.

More Gallo lies put to rest!

PS: It’s no accident that Gallo is singing the praises of a former Gator coach.

Finnie because of a used laptop misplacement?

The keep it going thing is dead.....

everything I post can be verified. Tell me specifically what stat is wrong.....

Gallo, Calvin, cane 72, and all the other dumba55es full of dumba55ness:

Stats?

Here are your stats:

in his first 2 years at UM Golden managed to put the U in a position to play for the ACC ch. Was bowl eligible 2 yrs in a row. I guess we will never know eh? 2 years!

Shannon:

First year 5-7
then,

Emerald Bowl vs Cal- L
Car whatever bowl vs Wisc- L
Sun Bowl vs ND- L

0-3 in bowls

nuf said.

CALVIE bloody well SPEAKS TRUTH TO POWER! And yes, as Calvin elaborated. The Mighty Gator OFFENSE is bloody well going to STICK IT uP " U KNOW WHERE!!! " Eh. What say.

Bottom line Goldie is a decent head coach and P.R. bUbba. But Goldie AIN'T ready for B.C.S. tier opponents. And the Duke game last season was just one GLARING, CONCRETE example. dUh.

Chit, the TWELVETH (12th) game of the season, and MIGHTY Duke lights up the home scoreboard. So much for y'all's BELOVED defensive coordinator and what not.

Bon jour et Bonsoir

Calvin n Gallo, r u guys the same dude? How many Gallos are on here? WE HAD NO DEPTH.......What doesnt any bashers understand? You can throw 10 names out there, but when you have to roll our freshman (not just 1 or 2) but 20 freshman to b backups, thats a problem especially on D.

Manny has posted how are ranking jumped into the 30's when our DT's were healthy. Now they are all healthy and LB depth is great and the DB;s have experience.

Its gonna b a long season in Gainesville and Trailerville with Dumbo losing 6 coaches all coordinators and breaking in a freshman qb..

When we knock Driscoll out of the game, uf will roll otu a true freshman to get slaughtered since brisco wont be there................

Long season turds n trailerhasee

2009: Win against Miami(OH) 1-11...34-32
Win against Ball Sate 2-10......24-19

2010: Win against Bowling Green 2-10.....28-27
Win against Central Michigan 3-9........13-10 OT

So record at Temple is 40-45 with 4 barely wins against the bottom of the division...wowwwwww, what a great job he did at temple, lol

Congrats Cane Fans...

[]_[] finally beat the GATORS, ONCE, in something the last 1000 days...

bUt still lost 2

Even with Spurrier and Urban, and bowden , turds n noles, heres alot of space to list all your undefeated seasons. start writing it below here(ooops, i forget theres none in uf and maybe 1 in trailerhassee). Theres not enuf space on here for the U

My MAIN MAN Randy Shannon wasn't on the sidelines for the Sun Bowl game against MIGHTY, TRADITION-RICH Notre Dame.

And even IF Coach Shannon was there for the Sun Bowl game. The " fella's " bloody well THREW IN THE Green nd' Orange TOWEL, several games prior to the conclusion of the 2010.

In other words, some IDIOTIC Cane good ol' boy, above, be just another FACT twister. Or, is that just another Hurricane goon, who CHERRY PICKS notions and data to soothe his troublesome ego. dUh.

Bottom line is Miami will ABSOLUTELY finish with a 8-4 season in '13.

Again, that's 8-4 in 2013.

And the Simle Bubba Cane reason why is because of one Marky Mark D'Onofrio!!!

so 4 wins against teams with an average win record of 2 per year and an average win margin of 3 points (field goal)......oh god, cant stop laughing here

adjusted stats minus the "mercy" wins = 36-49

DOMINICK needs to GET BACK on his MEDICATIONS!!! And make that quickly. Serious, that Cane goon is nothing more than a BLOVIATING, SENSELESS, good ol' boy Hurricane ZEALOT.

And furthermore, DOMINICK AIN'T rationl, or is that SANE of EGO, to defened a BELOW-AVERAGE Miami D-coordinator!!!

So screech and howl and turn bloody RED with Cane Good Ol' Boy ANGER, dom. Because Miami ain't going to no B.C.S. bowl game in 2013. All because of YOUR beloved Marky Mark and what not. dUh

One more notion y'all Cane bUbba's. It be nice to see Miami, finally, get a win against MIGHT Virginia!!! Seriously LMAFAO

Chit, B.C.S. JUGGERNAUT Virginia has absolutely OWNED Miami the past five or six seasons!!! Eh. What say.

And dig this y'all Cane GOONS! Don't be the least bit surprise, again, to see Virginia fly away from SoFla with a victory, again. LOL

ROFL, imagine if he had coached sam shields, goldie would be praying for him and eddie johnson right now, and sam sheilds wasn't really that hard to coach, goldie is use to a bunch of yes men, he doesn't understand the mentality that made this program dominant so what he does is, he continues to kick the strong minded guys off the team and suspends the other ones. He would've had an heart attack had he been here in 86.

I ran across this guy last year from pennsylvania and he went to penn disgrace back than and he told, how him and his boys felt about us/UM than he said between UM and public enemy, they were scared to death and thought they were going to die soon, than after awhile they found out that they weren't going to die and started understanding a lil better the situation and now this guy probably listens to more P.E. than anybody in here and this guy is still himself. So i know goldie and oach OH-NO are not use to this down here. Unlike jimmy who grew up in port arthur texas or a guy like barry switzer, guys like that who feel comfortable almost anywhere they go.

There's no absolute lying and deceit bout' Goldie's record at MIGHTY Temple.
Because AFTER he got Temple to a COMPETITIVE level. Goldie STILL NEVER defeated a conference opponent with A WINNING RECORD!!!
That's WHY Goldie is out of his league against LEGITIMATE B.C.S. schools. dUh.
For glaring example, Goldie's record against B.C.S. JUGGERNAUT Virginia.
Again, Miami will win with Goldie.
Yet, the Canes WILL NEVER be a LEGITIMATE ELITE-TOP 10 program, again, with Uncle Albert.
And especially with his DECADES-long Frat Rat buddy on the Green Lawn turk. Enter one Marky Marky D'Onofrio. The best D-coordinator money can buy.

Calvin's football acumen ceases to amaze moi. Seriously y'all Cane good ol' boy bUbba's.

And Coach Switzer was the SON OF A BOOTLEGGER. Eh. What say. Believe it or not.
So Mr. Switzer knows a notion or two bout' being casted as the OUTSIDER. dUh.

So to Gallo, Calvin, Canetrash...whoever you are...you all are idiots and have no clue with what you write. It sucks being envious I know....esp to Turd fans when the truth is said:

ehem.....ehem....(clearing my throat)

Timmy tears on TV
No dynasty after Bama beatdown
Leg peeded by The Dogs two years in a row
65 plus arrests and COUNTING.....
Oscar Meyer the Liar Ohio Hire
Turds 1 win against The U in last 30 years....(can't win if you don't play us)
5>3>2
And last but not least....the FUNNIEST and most head scratching factoid of them all....and I really have a hard time beliving thia as well...but...here it goes....

Drumroll.....

The Turds have NEVER had an un-defeated season....ever....ever ever....ever ever ever...even with their 3 so called NC'S....WOW.... all three with an asterik.....

Do you all know that when the Turds won thier three titles there was at least 1 top ten team undefeated that got shunned for the chance to play for it all because of "the computers"??

Never an undefeated season???????

WOW.....

We cast about to find and defend thugery. Calvira, and Gallorena.

There were no internet, blogs, computers, and laptops back in the day of JJ, and Erickson...
That means it was all conjecture on our part to try and figure out fact from fiction on the actions and reactions of the 'Canes and the pecadillos they found themselves in, back in the day..
A lot of that chatter was only that.

Now it is instant..Get a DUI and in 2 hours everyone in the Country knows that occured and TMZ will have the data up on the net, with the athletes pic, time, place, and details.

To Compare our actions of a good group of respectful athletes, and try to portray them as choirboys because they aren't out Bustin' something is Ridiculous.

These players are all about business and the process and couldn't care less about Cred.
So Calvin dream on, but the Sheriff G says whether YOU like it or NOT..my rules or your A** sits or is suspended...Take it or leave it..

The process now is to get your business done, and cut the stupidity to a minimum which takes away from the purpose and the success of the team ...
Our guys know the roadmap to getting back and they don't need reminders of fallen thugs to help them get there..
That is the 'Canes way..Like it or not. Swag with Class.
Look up Duke Johnson ..Thank you..
Go 'Canes

calvin....that doesn't even include the fatigues, the steak fry, luthers play for pay, the texas game, the luxury car ring that had 5 canes implicated, George miras steroid use, dennis ericksons alleged tampering with drug test results, financial aid Pell grant fraud, the 34 players involved in the long distant telephone scam, guns in the dorm with the 3:30 call from Tolbert bain at club Manhattan for a brawl with locals, attempted murder charge, shoplifting charges......man 1986/87 was a true season of unbelievable turmoil....golden thinks he has a case of the TMZ's, lol

"it wasn't the media, we were just bad boys that liked being bad boys" ...Michael Irvin

these green peas have no idea o how we got to be the U...

article i found for the haters. exactly what all of us have been saying
The Hurricanes’ 7-5 finish in 2012 should be viewed by utilizing two very important perspectives.

First, Miami scored seven wins with one of the least seasoned squads in the country last season. To quantify, the ‘Canes brought back a mere 12 starters in 2012, a number that did not include a starting QB and accounted for only four members of the offense.

Secondly, the Hurricanes faced a slate in 2012 that Phil Steele rated as the ninth-hardest in the entire FBS.

This was a preseason ranking, but regardless of when the number was issued, Miami squared off against Notre Dame, Kansas State and Florida State last season—all BCS-bound squads and in terms of the two teams that competed in conferences in 2012, the Big 12 and ACC champs.

Moving ahead, these two important points regarding last season are also the foundation of why Miami could potentially explode in 2013.

To start with, the Hurricanes bring back 19 starters in 2013 which ties them for the No. 1 slot in the FBS. Included in this haul are ten offensive players and nine defenders, an even spread that’s even more impressive when you count the five guys back on the offensive line.

Next, Notre Dame and K-State are both off the slate for next season and though the ‘Canes add a provocative Week 2 home stand vs. Florida, the balance of the non-conference slate includes FAU, FCS Savannah State and USF.

Florida State remains on the schedule from the Atlantic, but Clemson isn’t an issue unless the ‘Canes meet them in the ACC title game.

All in all, Miami might have one of the best cases for a huge turnaround in 2013, and if they can steer clear of any significant NCAA sanctions, they could easily be back in the BCS for the first time since 2004.

Dom: first of all strength of schedule via the ncaa for Miami was:

Toughest Schedule
(Teams with at least 9 Inter-Division games) Sorted
on Cumulative Opposition
February 12, 2013

#2 Missouri / 82-40 / .67213115

#49 Miami / past opposition wins 63 - 56 losses
.52941176

Phil Steele is an idiot....

U can tell all the gator fans on here are scared to death with that jekyl and hyde team. They pulled out so many games vs weak sisters that they could have easily gone 7-5 last year.

The Canes will win by 2 td's and mark this down, miani will b favorites in that game. the 11-2 gators, sugar bowl team, will b underdogs and get spanked.

D, the Notre DAME TRADITION???? the only NT they won in what 50 years was the 1988 game that the refs stole another from Miami, The 31-30 game, the ref came out after and said it was a bad call..... just like 03 fiesta. Miami fans dont cry. . Even with those 2 stolen titles we still have the most rings in 30 years..

Well, How many schools played 3 bcs teams?? in the regular season??/ theres only 8 bcs teams and miami played 3 of them.......
