UM dual-threat QB commit Alin Edouard wavering, as pro-style QB Brad Kaaya announces his commitment

Hialeah High quarterback Alin Edouard committed to the Hurricanes in February for 2014. Miami has been his lifelong dream school, and Edouard was ecstatic to get the offer.

The offer is still there, according to Edouard and his high school coach, Marc Berman, who said he spoke to a UM assistant coach at least twice Monday. But Edouard, a three-star quarterback rated the 16th best dual-threat QB prospect in the nation, is starting to have his doubts. He said he was offered by former assistant Mario Cristobal, who quickly left UM to join the staff at Alabama. He said new offensive coordinator James Coley had not communicated with him directly even once until Edouard received a private Facebook message from Coley on Monday.

"I'm guessing either they don't really want me or it's just something that happened,'' he said of the lack of communication since February. "It's not the same as it was before.''

Edouard said he is still committed to UM, but is also considering Louisville, where his friend Teddy Bridgewater stars as the starting QB going into his junior year.

The other schools Edouard said he is considering: USF, Syracuse and Tennessee.

Berman told me that Edouard "as of this point is committed and they are committed to him. Alin can do things with his legs that other kids can't. They'll probaby sign two quarterbacks from what I've been told, and that's the way it is around the rest of the country. It's all about competition.''

The Canes are loaded with quarterbacks, and have also offered two-star Malik Rosier of Mobile, Ala., for 2014. For now, besides senior Stephen Morris, there's junior Ryan Williams, redshirt freshmen Gray Crow, Preston Dewey and David Thompson, walk-on freshman Garrison Lassiter and incoming freshman Kevin Olsen.

Edouard said he is not intimidated at all by competing for the QB job. He is just worried that coaches might try to switch his position to, say, receiver and he is adamant that he stay at quarterback.

Meanwhile, Brad Kaaya of West Hills (Calif) Chaminade High, proclaimed his commitment to Miami on Monday. Chaminade is in the San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles. Kaaya is a three-star, pro-style prospect. He is 6-4 and 213 pounds, and rated by Rivals.com as the 19th-best  pro-style quarterback prospect.

Kaaya completed 126 of 186 passes for 1,875 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2012 as a junior for 12-2 Chaminade, which lost the state title game to Serra Gardena. He threw his only two interceptions of the season during that game.

Edouard completed 64 of 132 passes for 926 yards and nine touchdowns, with nine picks last season. He ran for 559 yards and seven touchdowns.

"Brad is excited,'' Chaminade coach Ed Croson told me today by phone. "Miami had a different feel, a different flavor, and Brad liked that.''

Croson said Kaaya also likes the way Coley wants to throw the ball around and the way the offense works. UM kicker Matt Goudis played for Croson, too, and made Kaaya feel comfortable.

Croson said Kaaya is a great student who "never gets in trouble, works his butt off and has talent. That's the guy you're looking for.''

One thing is for sure: recruiting can be a brutal process. And it's a long process. You can only imagine how much things might change -- and probably will change -- before signing day 2014.

Great pick up !! Kid has the tools. I hope that Edouard sticks also, cause he is also a gamer. A school can never, stop recruiting because a "commit" may flip because they add someone else in the class at their position. It really looks like the Shapiro scandal is being neutralized by the coaching staff.

Kids flip all the time and leave teams out in the cold, so schools have to protect themselves and keep recruiting various players at ALL positions. UM is building up the QB and O-Line position, that is key to building a great team and program. There is going to be so much competition at QB that it is not even funny. Now all we have to do is add 3-4 DT's, 3 DE's, and some LB's (in short, add to the defense) and we should have a really good class coming in.

It's only a matter of time for Gallo and cAlvin to blame Golden if this kid decommits. He'll be Gallo's fodder to add to a Golden's 2014 casuality list

he is already on the 2013 golden casualty list....Edouard will decomitt....golden plays games with these kids.....turned his back on this kid just like he did with denver kirkland and jaymard bostwick.....

Alin Edouard - go play for charlie strong and learn from teddy bridgewater @ 5847 yards and 41 TD's....hell break 11,000 yards when he graduates....run as fast as you can from golden/dnofrio....they got nothing to offer you

n an interview yesterday with CanesInSight’s Tito Benach, Edouard said he hasn’t been speaking to Coach Coley.

“I haven’t talked to him often at all. I’ve even tried calling him and he doesn’t answer.”

I am surprised at coley......golden is rubbing off on him....coley wont last if he does this....don't embarrass Miami high alumni...

go stings...

Kayaa's best offer was from San Diego st....what are we doing?

ONce again somebody says the name of STUPID and Gallober does appear. Abrah Kadabra! Disappear dummy!

That not his best offer & every time I see Jim Gallo name I laugh!! He is hilarious!!

Looking at that list lmao!! That mf copy & paste that $h*t every time!!

Gallo,
Keion Payne was 2010.... Year before Golden.

We can't lose Alin we can't he's goin to be a star.... An stil no offer for Quincy Wislon this kid is goin to be great also smh

If you look @ the tape of qb kaaya this kid is the reel deal,@6-4 215 he's a beast.this kid edouard is only 6, 0 the thing I like the most about kaaya he's done with recruiting and wants to be the guy the last recruit to do this was duke johnson enough said welcome to the ..U

When a recruit said he won't change his position to better the team well pack your bags you, ll done good luck on your travel its all about the ..U

“I’m 6-1 1/2 and I don’t want to take the chance of playing receiver. He was like, ‘Running routes isn’t even in the picture, so don’t even think about that.’
“But I’m still worried — not about the quarterback competition, but about them possibly changing my position. What can I say? I saw it coming, to tell you the truth. UM is not the same to me as it was before.”

.

neither can we real hurricane fans say or make sense of it Hialeah Homeboy ... Go do your thing outside the 305 and Fly.

Whatever- He either is a cane or he is not. He'll get comp elsewhere just as much. Message to youngman Eduoard: If the U wants you as QB stick with it my man. This is a place like no other.

Gallo- Here's a list you can make:

LIFE'S CASUALTIES

Gallo
Calvin
Cool cat
Cane 72
Soldy

From my perspective its a bit worrisome that with Dewey, Crow and Williams, that they still are signing 2 more QBs. They must be not very good. I canonly see whatthey do in the spring games, and Dewey and Crow remind me of Kirby Freeman and Brock Berlin

wrong...Payne was dismissed by golden in spring practice for violating team rules......

no player should have to change his position after he is recruited at that position.....its a bate and switch thing.....the kid could have gone and accepted a scholarship from another school.....this kid is smart

go to Louisville.....play QB there.....charlie strong is the hottest coach in the NCAA right now....let teddy bridgewater mentor you.....2 (305) guys at the same position on the same team.....

TMZ 2.0 version 2013......its already starting

BTW - Preston Dewey is transferring.....SG should do her homework

Welcome to The U, Kaaya, you're exactly what this program needs to bring it back to glory: dedicated young men who bleed green and orange. Let that bum Edouard go to Louisville, he's exhibiting all the signs of a flop.
Besides, we had enough sub 50% completion rate-just as many INT's as TD's-should be a receiver and probably bad at that too-SO CALLED Quarterbacks!

Please pull his scholarship.

The U has won all it's NCs with smart, not so mobile, drop back passers. Vinny was mobile, actually great mobility, and no NC. Mobility comes with a disadvantage--choice. If you really can only change your pocket position, then you will wait until the last moment for the reciever to get open. That last instant can make for a lot of big plays. If you have legs, you use it to take off not throw the ball to guy most likely to that it to the bank. This new kid looks good but can he take it from under center or is he another Brock? Altough, after the last 10 yrs, someone who could go undefeated against UF and FSU would be nice. Notice Mario isn't trying to flip Edouard to Bama--not a Saban type qb. He goes more for the old U type qb--smart pocket passers that only try to win the games the rest of the team can't not every game. J12 was actauly a nice pocket passer with not great arm(like so many of our NC qbs). His problem was horrible coaching. If he had Golden and Jeb for four years he might have brought the 6th NC we all want so badly. I am not sold on Coley yet. His last 2 qbs got drafted in 1st round but NO NCs. Please give me qbs that win NCs and let the NFL find its qbs at FSU.

Went to bed thinking about the Canes.....
Woke up thinking about the Canes....

The turds are verrrrrry nervous about 9-7-13...as they should be.

@ByTimReynolds: Got a piece of intel today ... I say 11 wins & Orange Bowl champs. RT @CarlBleich: how many games will the #Canes win this upcoming season?

Edouard only committed to get his name on the map. Regardless he's not good enough to be a college quarterback the way he's looked until now, barring a dramatic, monumental jump. He's an amazing athlete, likely cut out to be a slot receiver or possibly a db. He should be thanking Miami for allowing him to commit. If he decommits, good luck to him.

All this talk about athletic legs for running the ball. Dorsey didn't have legs for it but ck out his career. Competition is the game of life.

Shannon casualties

Jacory Harris
Aldarious Johnson - BUST
Tommy Streeter
Ben Jones - Took AGS people to finally get him somewhere
Sean Spence - Would not have torn knee up had he been better developed early on by Randy
Southridge
Clint Hurt
Mark Whipple
Arthur Brown - *****Biggest failure
Thearon Colliar - Booker T kid never developed....BUST
Marcus Forston - NW kid....BUST
Davon Johnson - BUST under Shannon....AG finally gets production and some "return on investment" from schollie
Brandon Marti - BUST - Discipline issue
Cannon Smith
Vaughn Telemack - Never developed early by Shannon...cost him...
Robert Marve - Shannon plays favorites - Discpline issues
Jermaine McKenzie
Adewale Ojomo - broken jaw by walk-on under Shannon...cost him an entire year...hurt our defense that year
Ray Ray Armstrong - Under achiever - troublemaker
Dyron Dye - BUST
Kacy Rodgers - BUST
Storm Johnson -Pothead - Shannon no due dillegence on this kid prior to wasting schollie on him
Chase Ford - BUST - Not sure which game film he was watching

And the list COULD go on.....

What Gallo and Calvin fail to mention is that kids all the time back in the day got flipped into their "natural position" at The U.....that's why we were successful for the most part. The kid from Hialeah really needs to evaluate himself realistically if he wants to play "in the league". Why would he be adverse to switching positions if it helped him become a pro? Does he really think he will be an NFL QB? That is like the hardest position to make it in the NFL....let alone at barely 6ft tall.

The biggest thing about Shannons tenure that peeved me was the year Ojomo got popped in the jaw by a walk-on and missed the entire year. We had a pretty good defense going in and really could have used him.

We can't lose Alin we can't he's goin to be a star.... An stil no offer for Quincy Wislon this kid is goin to be great also smh

////////////////////////////////////

I remember alot of bozo's on here saying losing teddy bridgewater was no big deal because he came from the west, and just look at alot of the comments now, same stupidity going on, lol. Like jim gallo said, alin is smart and it just continues to show why coach goldie is getting sniffed out consistently now. matthew thomas said, "he didn't trust the coaches here" meaning goldie & clown 117th. snatching up denver kirkland's schalorship, now alot of highschool coaches don't trust goldie now either, here we are just getting started with recruiting and another recruit already has trust issues with a few on this staff, lol. That's not upholding the legacy here, who cares what information james coley came in with or has now, at the end of the day, smart moves need to be made, right now, there are only about two credible coaches right now on staff, art kehoe & barrow, we can throw in hurlie brown when it comes to being credible from a social standpoint, but can we throw him in as being a credible runningbacks coach, time will tell.

Than the insult to injury to me is, why are we not offering quincy wilson, i've been saying that for the longest myself to man. At the end of the day, when you got to many cowards on staff recruiting, guys like quincy wilson won't get an offer. I can understand if james coley doesn't want alin and doesn't see him as the type of qb he wants, but don't wait until stuff starts making it in print that respond, means we're already behind the power curve and will only add to more "tmz since i got here" well quit causing it.

Coach charlie strong will get alot of solid talent based on our mess ups. alex collins rolled out because he didn't trust the coaches here either. This is why you have to have guys like art kehoe, soldinger, barrow, hurlie brown and the likes that want to be here in Miami and are not looking to use UM as some stepping stone like jedd fisch & coach terry did. It's not about us not having a budget big enuff to get quality coaches it's about a coach coming in realizing all he has to do is get in line with coaches like art kehoe and he'll get escorted to national prominence.

Not hiring soldinger when he had the chance was a real big mistake, getting rid of coach petri for jethro was asinine, the guys that want to be here. A guy lke kevin patrick is looking for work, but he wouldn't understand this defensive scheme and telling the d-linemen to dance with the o-linemen than try and go pass rush. Back to quincy wilson, we offering all kind of other safties except the one that knows how to play ball. I don't like to insult SEAN TAYLOR, but quincy wilson has a presence about him like that.

More importantly he plays the game how we love to play it. When i herecoach goldie talking about "we teach kids how to play with passion here" it's one of the most sickening statements i hear him say, but i can see why you gotta teach it if you're not getting enuff of the right homegrown talent. You don't have to teach nobody from Miami how to do, it's already in them, but it's a classic case of coach goldie trying to take credit for something that's already there. Like he did once the offense got rolling he made it a point to say "i made the decisionearly on that we were going to have to outscore everybody".

shannon was 9 & 4 in his 3rd year and ran the gauntlett in the first 4 games opened up with #18 Florida St., than #14 Georgia tech, than #11 Virginia tech and than #8 oklahoma and shannon didn't cry one bit and made it clear, these are the type of games that you want to play and why you come to Miami. It'll let us see where we're at as a team, and after a 3 & 1 start, the situations was not bad, but a bought off under table oc, a snake ad in kirby lo-cutt and a troll president low ballin this man and trying to be the gate keeper of what football players come in or don't, shannon still excelled.

Here coach goldie is crying about a weak 2012 schedule, and this year it's weaker, "NO EXCUSES"!

this is where the bloggers blame the kids rather than the coaches....."hes not good. hes a loser...etc"

what will the bloggers say if UM loses to Florida/fsu? What will they say when that surprise loss comes from an unexpected team?

golden/dnofrio will pat themselves on the backs with wins over:

la atlantic / 3-9
savanah state / 1-10
usf / 3-9
gt / 7-7
nc / 8-4
wake / 5-7
vt / 7-6
duke / 6-7
virginia / 4-8
pitt / 6-7

same as with the best years at Temple:

2009: 9-4
w 24-19 ball state (2-10 record)
w 34-32 miami oh (1-11 record)

2010: 8-4
w 13-10 ot central michigan (2-10 record)
w 28-27 bowling green (2-10 record)

how do you barely beat the last place teams 2 years in a row if your so good as a HC?

“Mark should be as mad as anybody because imagine coming to the University of Miami and having to play a bunch of kids,” Golden said. “Imagine having to be saddled with that. He’s the one that should be mad. … And he is mad. He’s going to fight. Everybody wants this change or that change (but) he’s not a quitter. None of us are.” ......Al Golden

he was so mad that after just 1 year at UM dnofrio threw his hat in for the temple HC job.....

Also, getting rid of john lovett for clown 117th has proved to be disastrous as well. When a coach gets 500K just for an oc, he should have one of the best coachign staffs in college football. That's just $300K less than what they low-balled shannon to be the headcoach for 3 years for!

gallo, keep pointing out these hypocrites. Coach goldie talking about somebody being mad, why didn't they get mad at themselves for moving all those d-linemen to the offensive side of the ball. Than tried to move luther robinson and that man said "hell naw". Alot of parents don't trust coach goldie either. I like how coach goldie named all the females that he say are on his side, but when you can't name to men, everybody knows it's easy to whoo women with words, men, we lookign for real results. And the results we see right now, 117th, alot of 4th quarter collaspes wit ha veteran defense.

blaming a safety for 1 touchdown when duke got about 5 more touchdowns before that one, it's comical listening to the excuses made by coach goldie all in the name of trying to save his boy. I'm just glad we're going into year 3, so the excuses can start losing any form or sound of being legit.

the kid is a QB not a WR you idiot..thats why

golden is not trusted that's why we lost kirkland and alex collins.....collins said specifically that his trust for bret bielema was the deciding factor to leave UM.....

you dont meet iwht a kid and his parents and build up the kid as a future UM QB...then the kid blows off other scholarships...then when you lock the kid up, you move the goal post and tell him all of a sudden he is a WR......f...ck that

no different when golden as at coaches conference in Orlando and told all the inner city coach's that Um will NEVER pull a kids scholarship then 2 months later pull Kirkland's.....

golden/dnofrio have to go.....plain and simple

Calvin didn't read your blog...you beat me to it....you have a good memory like me......

calvin add beilema/shannon....we are handing all 305 talent to them......

Gallo....I FULLY AGREE with your last statement. AG and staff should state their INTENTIONS from the first meeting with a recruit and not "play games". If you think a certain recruit would work better at another position on your team then let them know the schollie is contingent upon them agreeing to switch......BAIT AND SWITCH SHOULD NOT BE DONE TO THESE KIDS PLAIN AND SIMPLE.....LET THEM KNOW YOUR INTENTIONS FROM THE GET GO!!!!!!!

I came here looking for a meaningFUL discussion on UM football. All I found was meaningLESS sabre rattling by hateful non-football fans. Get a life guys! Find somewhere else to do your public bickering and leave this forum to us REAL fans.

Edouard will not come to UM and that is OK. All is fair in love, war and recruiting. Kaaya is a better fit for Golden's system. You can't blame kids for not coming to a school when there are a ton of QB's to compete against. Edouard is not a pro style QB and may do better elsewhere.

Would not read to much into this recruiting QB and ratings thing. It's all about competition for Olsen. It's Olsen's jobs to lose. They are just looking for some guys to push him. A bunch of 3 star guys should do that.

Kirkland was/is fat, lazy, overrated and Kehoe didn't want him. He was offered only as a package deal with Matthews.

When Matthews decided, on FSU, Kirkland wasn't wanted because he is lazy, overrated and probably a good bet to go the Prep school route.

Why all the hype about Shannon wanting him at Arkansas, who did he ever recruit at the U that excelled on defense as a head coach?

The 6-2 3/4-inch, 185-pound signal caller, who stood out at UM's Junior Day last weekend, picked up three new offers around lunchtime Wednesday: Boston College, Penn State and Miami. By dinner, he made up his mind. He called UM associate head coach Mario Cristobal and told him he wanted to be a Hurricane.

"When I went to Junior Day at Miami I felt like I was already home," Edouard said. "I was the only QB there. I got a chance to speak with [offensive coordinator James] Coley for awhile just one-on-one. He basically wanted to find a quarterback who could run and throw, have accuracy and be a leader on the field. He said I had all those tools.

"Everybody in college football today is running a zone-read, whether it's in a two back or one back spread. UM ran a lot of zone read last year. I think Coach Coley's philosophy is similar to Coach Fisch. What Alin gives you is that extra ability. He can take off any moment and break off a long run. He reminds me of a young Vince Young."

"He can throw every ball out there. His arm strength is as good as you're going to find. Maybe I'm prejudice. I think he's the best quarterback anywhere around here," Berman said. "He goes all out all the time. The first game of the year we had a running back break like a 70-yard run down the field. You know who was his lead blocker? Alin.

olsen sucks.....show me where i can see his films.....his stats sucked in high school and under amour was a complete embarrassment....let me know if you want his play-by-play performance especially the 2 parts where he trips over his own feet and kicks the ball 30 yards towards the the blacks goal after being in the red zone.....matthew thomas had a field day with olsen.....

advise for golden....I'd stop talking to the press altogether......cut and paste works too good, lol

we have no idea what is going to happen to any of these kids...let's just focus on what is in front of us...1 fricking game at a time...one play at a time...and for God's sake...can the defense hold people to about 20 points? the offense should be good for about 25 so ...just please again for God's sake --- can we stop somebody at 2 TDs and a couple FGs

kicks the ball 30 yards towards the the blacks goal after being in the red zone....

Yep........gator fan for sure!

Let that doofus, Edouard, go up to Louisville and play gadget-ball in that pathetic glorified Mid Major conference. Lispy Teddy Bridgewater (who talks like he has a 3rd grade education - which is another reason he fits in there, it's also where all the dumb florida recruits end up - then UF) is doing nothing more than excelling at small ball with the lame competition he faces week-in and week-out in the BCS' Welfare Conference. The conference where despite the fact that every current member (except Rutgers) was a Mid Major less than a decade ago they are still considered a major conference and qualifies for a (joke) BCS Bowl. smh

Mr. Hooked On Phonics (Teddy) won't make it to the league as a QB, much less will this Edouard bum.

loneoutcast....funny sh*t dude....

Below is an excerpt from UM AD Blake in regards to Al Golden. Interview was conducted at ACC spring meeting. I know Gallo and Calvin will be salivating at the mouth to discredit.

{First I’ll say I think Al has done an incredible job. He’s someone who’s had to deal with the adversity much more on a daily basis than I have. To have someone with his character, his integrity, his approach in place is what makes my job all the better. We have a champion in a coach. In terms of the expectations, the expectations are always there for Miami. There’s never been a time when there weren’t those types of real lofty expectations. We’re excited as a program. We see what everyone else sees. We have a special group of young men that are representative of our program, we have a winner in a coach and when you combine those two, great things happen. We saw tremendous progress last year and I think we’ll continue to see tremendous progress under Coach Golden and that has us excited.}

All is good at The U folks....my sources ARE LEGIT!!

Spoke to one of the players earlier today....BOY THEY are jacked up for this year. This senior to be said point blank:

"There is a vibe in the building that just did not exist with the last coaching staff. I have been here for 4 years now and I could not imagine being anywhere else. I know I wont have a chance to play for a National Championship like I wanted to when I first signed thinking I would. However, knowing that I came through this program during our darkest hours to where I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel is amazing. I truly think Dukes class will be the turning point to this program and they will be very successful. Many of us truly did not think Coach would stick around but he did.....it truly taught many of us a valuable lesson in life and one that many of us players still talk about. Sometimes the grass really isn't greener on the other side.....we know who we are.....we know what were about.....we know what needs to get done. It sometimes better to stay HOME and clean your own house versus going 5 blocks away to clean someone else's. The foundation of this program has already been laid....were simply going through a "remodeling phase".....it's almost complete".

When this kid stopped talking I was lie....WOW...pretty deep for a 22 year old....spoke with great passion. He basically went on to say that this team has an identity and FULLY UNDERSTANDS what the expectations are. He also said everyone "inside" is thinking no less then 10 wins.

really.....he (Bridgewater-lispy) will only have over 11,000 yards after graduation.....but that's OK.....you take Olsen, I'll take teddy.....lets see where each end up.....

BTW here is the under amour results on olsen:

2013 UA game:

Olsen enters with 10:35 in 1st quarter:
1. hand-off no gain
2. 2yr screen behind the line - no gain
3. flushed out by Matthew Thomas - throws 5 yd incomplete, then he is taken out

Olsen re-enter with 6:35 in 1st quarter:
1. balls is on black's own 41 yd line - he over-throws by 5 yards - incomplete
2. hand-off no gain
3. HE TRIPS AND FALLS WITH A 10
YD LOSS

Olsen enters 4th quarter at 9:45 time:
1. side-out, no gain
2. sacked for 5 yd loss
3. flushed out of pocket and throws 15 yd incomplete

Olsen re-enters 4th at 2:15 time:
1. GETS HIS FIRST COMPLETION FOR 15 YD GAIN
2. hand-off - no gain
3. 10 yd completion - 1st down
4. overthrows - incomplete
5. ball on 7 yd line and he fumbles the snap and ball goes 35 yards down-field, lol

or

teddy bridgewater: sophomore

5,939 yards - 46 TD's - 20 INT's

Stephen Morris - junior

5,010 - 31 TD's - 18 INT's

I think I'll go with Teddy Bridgewater.....lol

lol......I spoke with a kid today also....this source is LEGIT.....he said he cant believe with all the players we have the team is worse than when he came here.....this was the stats he gave me...

2010 - my first year here under shannon
total offense - 5477 #31 national & #1 ACC
total defense - 4199 #22 national & #3 ACC

I said wow....such insight for a young man, lol

WE CAN AGREE AND DISAGREE WITH GALLO AND CALVIN BUT THIS TIME THEY ARE RIGHT ABOUT THIS "GOLDEN HAS NO MORE EXCUSE" PERIOD! POINT BLANK! AS A TRUE CANE FAN I WILL GIVE HIM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT UNTIL HE LOSES A 3RD GAME THIS YEAR. IF HE GOES 9-3 HE MUST GO! I DO NOT WANT ANYONE GIVING HIM A PASS WITH THE TALENT RETURNING,AND A VERY SOFT SCHEDULE. LET'S BE REAL IF GOLDEN ACTUALLY BEATS FLA/FLA.ST THIS TEAM CAN GO UNDEFEATED. THERE IS ENOUGH TALENT TO DO SO BUT DUMB COACHING AND NOT PREPARING TEAMS TO PERFORM EACH WEEK TO AN ACCEPTABLE LEVEL CAN COST YOUR TEAM 1-2 GAMES. GOLDEN HAS DONE AN OKAY JOB WITH THE NCAA CLOUD OVER HIS HEAD. I'LL GIVE HIM THAT BUT TO KEEP HIS BUDDY AROUND WITH A 117TH RANKED DEFENSE WHEN AS CANE FANS WE HAVE LOST COACHES WHO WASN'T HALF AS BAD. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES THIS YEAR AND IT WON'T TAKE LONG TO SEE IF THE TEAM HAS IMPROVED. IN THE FIRST GAME IF THE DEFENSE GIVES UP MORE THAN 10 PTS WE ARE IN TROUBLE. AGAINST FLA. IF THE DEFENSE GIVES UP MORE THAN 20 PTS WE ARE IN DEEP TROUBLE. 20 PTS IS A LOT YES BUT THE GATORS STILL HAVE TALENT AND WE SHOULD BEAT THEM BY AT LEAST 10-17 PTS. ALL THIS WILL SHOW IS IF WE HAVE IMPROVED AS A DEFENSE. WIN THE FIRST 4 GAMES CONVINCINGLY AND WE JUST MAY GO 11-1 OR 12-0. AS CANE FANS DO NOT ACCEPT NO LESS THAN 10-2 ACC COASTAL CHAMPS. NO MORE EXCUSES. WE KEEP GETTING RID OF PLAYERS WITH PROBLEMS! FINE! WHAT ABOUT COACHES WITH COACHING PROBLEMS? NO MORE EXCUSE.

Too bad y'all Goldie didn't SLYLY force the resination of his DECADES-long Frat Rat buddy. Huh
Then, just MAYBE y'all Cane brUte's team de jour could finish with a respecatable 9-3 regular season record. dUh
Nonetheless, AS LONG AS that INEPT Miami D-coordinator is hanging around Coral Gables, the Hurricanes WILL NEVER again be a LEGITIMATE Top 15 team. Let alone win a A.C.C. championship. Eh. What say.
Because bloody AU CONTRAIRE to what y'all Cane GOOD OL' BOY'S yap.
Defense wins championships!!! Be they conference or B.C.S. bowl games.
Bon jour et Bonsoir

And that canespace/EOTH is still a PUTRID den of Good Ol' Boys. Huh
