« Sellout alert! UM Hurricanes vs. Florida Gators single-game football tickets are sold out. | Main | Coach Al Golden on Hurricanes D: "The biggest thing was to not change...'' »

UM Hurricanes just got their 24th oral commitment for the Class of 2014!

Miami just nabbed a preseason victory over the Florida Gators.

The Hurricanes just picked up their 24th oral commitment for the 2014 season: 6-2, 221-pound defense end Trent Harris, a three-star athlete according to rivals.com and 247sports.com, and a four-star athlete according to ESPN.com. (The list of 24 signees doesn't count holdover signee Ryheem Lockley, who is is in prep school and is expected to join the 2014 class).

Harris, who had 50 tackles and 11 sacks as a defensive end last season as a junior at Winter Park, chose the Canes over the Gators and Ohio State.

Earlier in the process, he had narrowed his finalists to UF, Georgia, OSU, Alabama, FSU and Vanderbilt.

He grew up a Gators fan.

"That was my dream as a kid,'' Harris told the Orlando Sentinel, where he announced his decision at about noon Monday. "But I grew up, and I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami.

"Yes sir, the U!'' he concluded in a video.

Before the announcement, he told 247sports.com that he knew what team he was choosing and that he had made up his mind recently.

Oral commitments are non-binding. They do not become official until National Signing Day.

Looks like jerks like Silly boy were wrong about Golden not being able to recruit in state talent. Miami is starting to build something special.

In case that moron/shula slurper shows up here soon here as well:

Undefeated season, great accomplishment, but for 33 years you only got 2 superbowl wins to show for it, if you slobbering shula, it's obvious why you sloberring goldie to, wipe your chin, your abilty to guzzle anything mediocre, you should be ashamed of yourself, have some pride. A lot of things fell into place for that to happen and when he did it, the schedule was 16 games, that's not to diminish the accomplishment, but you probably wasn't even born when that happened, so that's something that a waste of time to talk about.

33 years, only 2 superbowls, you should be ashamed for him too, seriously, WTF was he doing all of that time! You already know how many superbowls jimmy Johnson would've had had he stayed in dallas, no less than 4 for sure. In way less time.

This is going to be an amazing class. Welcome to the []_[]

Oral commitments are non-binding. They do not become official until National Signing Day.

It is July 29. The start of the 2014 season is over a year away.
NSD is in February, 7 months away.
But since we got nothing else.
Since we are not ranked anywhere that matters.
We celebrate our Rivals 2014 recruiting class rankings so that we can feel like winners.
Finally something to feel good about!

delusionalcane, I have good news for you.

Gator Clause is posting content over there. You might want to stop obsessing over every post on here and start talking about your Gators over there.

After all, you might break double digits in 2014 recruits, and then yuo can toot your horn over there, too.

"since we got nothing else"

It's July idiot, there's no football going on.

More relevantly, YOU PERSONALLY "got nothing else" going on in your life because you spend your days trolling UM fans on the internet.

Has nothing to do with college football, nothing will change after UM plays UF this year, nothing will change when we DON'T EVEN PLAY for another 5 years after that.

Gator Logic thank you for inviting me to post over your blog but I prefer to stay here. I suppose you want to join the celebration about all these great recruits, that is fine and dandy. I would just like to wait and see and not get too excited about such unimportant things so early on. Don't get me wrong, if this class holds together come February, then that would be the time to celebrate, not now.
Now it's time to get ready for the 2013 season and celebrate our great accomplishments on the field.
Celebrate the players we really have, not the ones we may or may not get.

Trust, it ain't coach goldie just yet, he's getting all the credit but this has more to do with james coley being here than coach goldie. If you don't think so, i'll give you a clue, go and look at an interview with chad Thomas after they won state and see what he had to say about james coley while he was still at Fsu, in fact if james coley was still at Fsu, chad thomas would probably be going their. You thinking getting dalvon stuckey here had anything to do with coach goldie or clown 117th.

In fact, if it wasn't for james coley being here, coach goldie and crew couldn't even look at BOOKER T. with the stunt they pulled last year. Also, go and look at coach goldie's interviews, Trust me, he understands now a whole lot more than he did last year how people felt about him handing out all those schalorships to out of towners, he felt the heat for sure!

There's goes the board idiot. Now Shula sucks.LOL..you really are that stupid

You sir have one of the best and most accurate names here.
Your last post was so clear and had so much common sense that I doubt anyone on this blog can appreciate it. It is the ones that attack you that are delusional.
Good points and keep on posting the truth.
For example:
AP/USA Today/Coaches polls........UN RANKED
Rivals recruiting rankings? In July?......WHO CARES

Calvin, Golden brought in Coley, so does he at least get credit for that?

After all, if gets the blame for Donofrio, he should get credit for Coley. Fair is fair....

Well, maggots of the UFirstdegreefelony trailerpark, all I hear from the Gatr trash is about their recruiting. Of course, once any Cane mentions recruiting, it is automatically not worth of mentioning.

So there you have it. Gatr Trash logic. Don't they learn you logic in that StarCraft major in trailverville.

WINTER PARK DE TRENT HARRIS PICKED MIAMI OVER FLORIDA AND OHIO STATE

WINTER PARK DE TRENT HARRIS PICKED MIAMI OVER FLORIDA AND OHIO STATE

1:29PM EDT, July 29th 2013

Trent Harris shocked the Florida Gators today when the highly sought after Winter Park defensive end announced that he will be playing for the University of Miami.

(Tried to post the video, but this site won't allow anything that mentions the newspaper out of Orlando. That said, the video is a must see and it might be found at You Tube or go to the Orlando site.)

Trust, it ain't coach goldie just yet, he's getting all the credit but this has more to do with james coley being here than coach goldie.

And who hired Coley away from fsu again?

Alvin , I mean Calvin , not much difference between the two but I am probably older than you are and I would bet that at least 98% of football fans would disagree with you about Shula including 100% of football experts . So I know your probably used to it by now but you are wrong again . Go Canes

He grew up a Gators fan.

"That was my dream as a kid,'' Harris told the Orlando Sentinel, where he announced his decision at about noon Monday. "But I grew up, and I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This kid just gave a huge endorsement to Al Golden and his staff..."I grew up, and I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami." (not the Florida Gators!)

Poor ole Calvina/Gallo another bad day to be a Cane hater and a cowardly Gator. And guess what girls? You are going to have years and years of bad days in the future as Big Al Golden now owns the state of Florida and National Championships 6-7-8, etc. will soon follow.

For some reason my post with the video link was delayed...sorry for the misinformation.

"UM was a great place [years ago]. I don’t know what happened.”"

Warren Sapp

.

u and all the other cane clucks have tried to figure that out for a decade now Warren.

"I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami."

Trent Harris

.

Translation: "There's no way I would see the field until my Senior year if that at Florida. They are loaded... I can play right away at Miami. There's no upperclassmen developed talent whatsoever. They love playing Freshman."

then use the "We are young and played 15 Freshman last year and will again this year." EXCuSE - Al Golden

There's nothing wrong with kids who want to play right away and thus sign with teams that have no defensive talent like UM. They will come in and be counted on to perform as freshmen and make tons of rookie mistakes and the defense will continue to suck.
If they were really grown up they would go to a program that is good and that has tons of talent to allow them to sit back and learn without the pressure of starting full time.
But this is too much common sense for the average can cluck who is starved for any positive news, no matter how trivial.

cAlvina let me answer you by saying that I will slurp all day with my 'Canes, and all the Coaches and players.
I will also slurp for Coach Shula who has always been and will always be a 'Fins Coach, who is a first Class and winning guy, who loved the 'Fins. OUT.

I don't care whether you like it or not!!!!.'72 Dolphs UNBEATEN you A******

With recruits coming on from the State of South Florida, you are like a sailboat without hot or cold air to push your Moronic ideas,(i.e " balls in hot or cold air", if you need an answer go check out some physics, you moron) and that recruits just love the 'U', Coaches, facilities, location, and legacy, and can see the potential of being 'Canes.

ou stated:
"goldie does not know how to recruit in these neighborhoods, and will have a hard time reaching these recruits."
Your premise is shattered, just STFUP.

Proven wrong once again.

Just sayin Ron Zook is right you are going to have to live with reality.
The 'Canes are building their way back, whether you know it or not.
Go 'Canes

The butthurt from gaturd fans is strong up in here.....

Oops! Correcting my last post...

.

"I've got to realize what's going to help me the most in my future, and that's the University of Miami."

Trent Harris

.

Translation: "There's no way I would play for the cowardly, felon laden Gators as their phony program is going even deeper into the toilet. The Canes are loaded... I will do everything in my power to follow the great Canes plan and hopefully I can play right away. There's a ton of upperclassmen developed talent, two of which are Heisman candidates. The Canes love to develop Freshman into All-Americans."

the cowardly gators use the "We are toothless hillbillies and played 45 felons last year excuse and will again this year." EXCuSE - Willy "The Bagman" Muschamp

PS: Once again, as always, the Canes slammed the cowardly Gators...LMAO!!!

"If they were really grown up they would go to a program that is good and that has tons of talent to allow them to sit back and learn without the pressure of starting full time."

Ummmm, ok. Yeah. So please explain why the Gatr trash will be starting a freshman RB and WR. Hmmm, logic is tough when your skeewwwl prides itself on offering majors in Vine.

"The Canes are loaded"...on defense that is why they are ranked #117 and set a record.
Gotta love a record setting defense........

"There's a ton of upperclassmen developed talent...."
That is why they haven't had any players taken in the first or second round of the NFL draft for years and years in a row. Such "developed" upperclassmen, like Sam Shields was when he couldn't study film in Green Bay

The Canes love to develop Freshman into All-Americans....

For sure, our punter was ALL ACC

Another correction...

.

There's nothing wrong with kids who don't want to play for the cowardly gators right away or ever and thus sign with the always better Miami Hurricanes program that is building incredible defensive talent. They will come in and be coached on how to perform as Champions and one day make tons of Money in the NFL and the defense will continue to be fantastic.
When they are really grown up they will dominate programs that are great and that also have tons of talent to allow them to prove only the very best play for the Canes.

But this is too much common sense for the average cowardly, gator felon cluck who is starved for any positive news, no matter how trivial...how's Aaron Hernandez doing? LMAO at "YOU"!!!

PS: We Canes once again slammed the cowardly gators!!!

What I mean to say was...

.

"The Gators are loaded"...on defense that is why they allowed Louisville to score 190 points on them and Austin Peay beat them up too...LMAO!!!

Gotta love that cowardly gator record setting defense...ha! ha! ha!

"There's a ton of upperclassmen developed talent...."
That is why the gators have had many players arrested for first and second degree felonies and have been drafted for years and years in a row by Federal Prisons. Such "developed" upperclassmen, like Aaron Hernandez was when he couldn't study film in Boston he was out murdering people...a true gator.

The gators love to develop felons into All-American Criminals....

Dee Liner, a four-star Alabama freshman at defensive end and all-name team fixture, posted a picture of himself with a wad of cash on Instagram, with the hashtags “Day 1″ and “Struggle Over Wit $$$.”

Interpret that how you will. Fans of Auburn, the rival school he was committed to until January, certainly have. He’s not the only high-profile SEC recruit to be caught out by Instagram stalkers.

Guessing this gets pursued with the same vigor the NCAA, which can access bank records, deployed looking into how Trent Richardson, then an unemployed father of two, was able to get pulled over in a $40,000 SUV and blame his large rims for throwing off the speedometer.

Lady Calvina would save everyone a lot of time if someone could donate him even a small brain.

Let's see, 32 nfl teams and you win 2 in about the same number of years. humm?

Would that be average, Lady peabrain Galvina, or above average?

No, above average.

Which SEC genius do you think administrators would prefer not to have --- the alabama dude with the cash or the SC recruit who chose SC because "he heard" they had the most impossible to fail classes?

^^^^^^^^

trick question. Answer: neither. The garbage in the SEC would take anyone, even a murderer.

Once again, Calvin bloody REFUTES that mountain cane LOUT!!

And like I said mountain cane LOUT, THE DON is a worthy N.F.L. Top 10 and or Top 6 head coach, but that notion bout' 2 championships in THIRTY-THREE-33 seasons, is mighty troublesome. hUh

Chit mountain cane LOUT, Papa Bear had several championship teams in HALF the seasons as THE DON. Bloody go figures. dUh

By the way mountain cane LOUT, Vincent would've had at least EIGHT N.F.L. championships in SEVENTEEN-17 seasons.

However, Vincent began a very, very, very, very late career in the N.F.L. Eh. What say.

Now, I'm Happy! Just what we needed! Let's hope they all stick. Go Canes

Dearest Dumb D:

Let the inarticulate Lady Calvin speak for herself. I said Shula was above average with 2 wins in 33 years.

Get out a calculator if that's too tough for you to comprehend.

Let's see , uh, 2 wins divided by ---uh ---33 years vs 1/32.

You must be a gayturd math major.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This pseudo Jamaican-speak moron sucks the intelligence out of this blog. And that is hard to do.

Let's see now, 24 NON-BINDING " oral " commitments for Miami, and here's believing that Goldie absolutely knows something about the forthcoming LYNCHING by the N.corrupt A.A. hUh

Because IF the Hurricanes get BLASTED with at least FIVE scholarship losses in 2014 and 2015. There's going to several UNHAPPY recruits and parents. Eh. What say.

But then again, there could be 1 or 2 Cane juniors, whom declare early for the N.F.L. But I don't see that happening. Because the juniors on the Miami squad aren't that STELLAR. If U know what I mean.

However, both Goldie and Marky Mark could bloody RUN OFF two or three current Miami roster players, after the conclusion of the 2103 season. dUh

Posted by: mountain cane | July 29, 2013 at 04:37 PM

===============

And mountain cane LOuT, Vincent won FIVE championships in 9 N.F.L. seasons.

Even Papa Bear and P. Brown " THRIPLED " Shula's 2 championships in THIRTY-THREE (33) seasons. hUh

So you do the math mountain cane IMBECILE!!

By the way mountain cane LOUT. Just imagine if Vincent and Papa Bear and Coach Brown respective teams played 14 or 16 game schedules.

Chit, your boy THE DON would then be a LOWER-RUNG all-time Top 10 N.F.L. head coach. Eh. What say.

Heck, I'll even throw in Sidney Gilliam or Curly Lambeau into the mix, and they'd make your Shula look " ABOVE-AVERAGE. "

mountain cane LOUT has a bloody HARD-ON for THE DON. Eh. What say. Just like mountain cane LOUT has his NOSE up Goldie's " U Know What!! dUh

D, are you really so dumb you can't follow a simple argument:

1. I said Shula is above average in winning super bowls per year coaching. Oh, he is.

2. I never commented that he was the highest. You introduced that irrelevant to my comment factoid.

Do you know what above average means ? If so, tell us because we're pretty sure they didn't get as far as averages in your school.

Man are you dddddumb. We do know why they call you d, I guess and that's something

This comment section really needs a moderator

That mountain cane LOUT suffers from NARROW-MINDED myopia thinking. Nothing more and nothing less.

Otherwise, why would he absolutely state that THE DON, was the absolute BEST all-time N.F.L. head coach.

When the quartet of Vincent, Brown, Lambeau and Papa Bear have the cold, hard NUMBERS, which Shula doesn't. Eh. What say.

Man are you dddddumb. We do know why they call you d, I guess and that's something

Posted by: mountain cane

Heck, ANYONE who touts a head coach with ONLY 2 championships in THIRTY-THREE ( 33 ) seasons. Must be some kind of MORONIC, LOUT.

Oh, that be mountain cane lout!!!

Now, get back to canespace with the rest of the Cane good ol' boy brUtes. Because that CLAN of bloody LOUTS won't REFUTE your take on THE DON. hUh

Chit, even THE DON's n.f.l. playoff percentage was .510. Go bloody figures.

Damyum mountain cane LOUT. Your Shula had THRITY-THREE (33) seasons get that playoff winning percentage, to around .650 or higher, and still couldn't do it. hUh

U know I was thinking: Morris might end up as one of the greats to ever play at UM.

U know I was thinking: RS had the right plan when he was recruiting Bridgewater, the same Bridgewater who is in the Top 2 to win the Heisman.

If only the administration would have bought in to RS. The fact is the program was on the way back under RS. With "Goldy, the program is mired in (fill in the blank).

Who was the guy who lectured us about a month ago??

He stated, as a matter-of-factly, that no more 4-star players would come to Miami after the recruitment of a string of 3-star players.

I guess he was wrong.

We'll see who sticks in February. A lot can happen till then.

It's just good to see that dudes (or is it a chick)that spew what they think is college football knowledge on our blog and be proved wrong, time and time again.

They just can't stop obsessing!

9.7.13.
Be there.

Dear dumb d:

You really are a moron. I said shula was above average in winning super bowls. For 1 million $,

1. Prove he isn't
2. Show where I said he was the best nfl coach

hint: you can't do either so tell mom you'll still need the basement

Teddy Bridgewater just gave an extensive interview on the Dan Le Batard ESPN TV show that was stunningly poignant and made me a fan of his forever. This young man is incredible and his life story is movie worthy. If you didn’t see the interview it is something you must see as it transcends football.

I have been transformed....I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT, AL GOLDEN IS SIMPLY A BETTER COACH AND RECRUITER THAN I AM
