The game statistics don't lie, UM couldn't run the ball or stop the run, Wisconsin had the ball for 40 minutes.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Yeah, Wisconsin had the ball for 40 minutes, but still couldn't defeat Miami by more than THREE TOUCHDOWNS!! Go bloody figure. hUh

But then again, that's WHEN the Hurricanes had a ' defense. ' Eh. What say.

Not every Randy Shannon supporter hates Al Golden but everyone who hates Al Golden is a Randy Shannon supporter.

Not sure why that is, he was pretty clearly not head coach material, much as we all love the guy.

Yea, the game was close because Wisconsin had the ball for 40 minutes and couldn't even beat UM by more than three touchdowns.

Get a grip man...

Yet, CuAL and like-minded Cane loyalists are the exception to the rule, because these dudes NEVER respected Randy Shannon and what not. hUh

I still respect Randy Shannon, he's a great man and a true cane.

And well suited as a linebackers coach.

My judgment of Goldie stems from one basic fact. Goldie failed to terminate his defensive coordinator after the 2013 season!

Other than that, I think he has done a commendable job with all the extra-curricular activities surrounding the program.

Nonetheless, under Goldie, I highly doubt Miami will return to TOP 10 status in major college football. Simply because it's ALL ABOUT THE DEFENSE! hUh

And I'll let major college football history be my judge, on whether the Hurricanes will ever win an A.C.C. championship. Let alone play be one of four teams, to contend for a N.C. game. While both D'Onofrio and Goldie are in Coral Gables.

Yup, everyone hates D'Onofrio and no one has confidence that the defense will look completely different this year.

Everyone agrees he should have been fired and it's hard to believe he would still have his job if he wasn't Al Golden's best friend.

After last years defensive performance, Coach Onofrio should not be here. He is here only because of his personal ties to Golden. There's no debating that or the fact that Shannon was a good recruiter and Defensive Coordinator. Obviously, Shannon wasn't ready to be a Head Coach and didn't develop players. This is only my opinion but I think very few guys left UM a lot better than when they arrived at UM under Shannon while he was the Head Coach.

That's everyone's opinion, it's pretty obvious on both accounts.

Jaxcane and Mario (10:42, 10:49 am respectively) hit it right on the #$%!!!~~ head.

For God's sakes- This is a third year coach. Calvin and others are disingenuous because they were lambasting them from DAY ONE. DAY EFFEN ONE. SO HE HAS NO CREDIBILITY IN HIS ACCUSATIONS. HE BABBLES ABOUT GOLDEN BEING A HYPOCRITE, AND GOLDEN BEING A LIAR AND THIS AND THAT- TO ME HE SOUNDS LIKE A FORMER DISGRUNTLED PLAYER OR EVEN NEVIN SHAPIRO.

Golden is building this team from the ground up. The D was extremely inexperienced, undisciplined and young last year. They hadnt done anything yet stupid Calvin wants them to be allowed to be "themselves" as when he criticized UM and Golden for kicking Finnie off the team after he committed a felony robbery.

STABILITY.

Miami hasnt had stability since 2001-2005.

Ever since there has been a revolving door in key coaching positions.

Kids need stability.

Obviously, I think Golden has Miami on the right track with the recruiting, high school camps, character guys, U-Tough fitness program, the emphasis on nutrition and accountability to each other. I get that the young players weren't physically ready to match up like Onofrio's scheme requires but that being said.. Onofrio HAS to go this year if the defense isn't remarkably improved in EVERY category. Being ranked 116th in yards allowed is unacceptable and Golden has to prove to the young men that are putting in the effort and hard work to get bigger, stronger, and faster that he will hold the coaching staff accountable as well for their performance. If not, Onofrio will be Golden's downfall at UM because you can't depend on winning shootouts every weekto be successful.

I have lots of room in my RV if some of you guys want to join the Owl destroying party on August 30. just meet me at the RV lot around noon.
If you can show up with a stuffed owl doll it would be swell. I tried to get a real owl but heard it sleeps all day.
Go Canes!

Spanking 2 Florida teams back to back. Muschump is gonna get ripped up in Gainesville after the beatdown they take

zook I agree with a lot of your points, but that 87 fiesta, U dominated like 4-1 in yards and 1st downs, but Vinnie thru 5 picks. Even with all the TO's, Miami was only down 14-10 with the ball on 10 yd line on last play of game when Vinnie thru a pick in endzone (5th) of the game.

had we not blown that game and the ref stole 03 fiesta, that's 7 titles not even counting the 1988 no dame game and other close ones
