« Miami Hurricanes release final depth chart of fall camp -- then close camp a day early | Main | UM season-ticket sales surge -- yes, Gators helped for sure. But winning is potion that will help most »

UM Hurricanes running back Danny Dillard no longer on team. Confirmed.

Yesterday it was Dyron Dye.

Now it's Danny Dillard.

UM confirmed this morning that 6-2, 210-pound running back Danny Dillard, a redshirt freshman from Bradenton and graduate of Venice High, is no longer on the team.

On Monday, when UM was practicing on Mark Light Field (baseball field), my colleague from CanesInsider, Brandon Odoi, noticed that freshman linebacker (and track speedster) Walter Tucker -- listed in the UM media almanac as 6-0 and 205 pounds and on the depth chart as 6-0 and 226 -- was practicing as a running back. He is now listed as a fullback behind starter Maurice Hagens.

According to his UM bio, Dillard was a three-star recruit with rivals.com and scout.com, the No. 35 running back prospect according to rivals and No. 62 according to scout. He finished his junior season at Venice High with 1,300 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Good lord, is "D" the fifth "Gallo" personality of the day? You all say the same things! At least one of you knows how to spell "Golden" right?

@@@@@@@@@@@

So it is bloody TRUE, that you were one of the thousands and thousands of Cane good ol' boy's, whom were touting Daniel as the NEXT James or William. hUh

One things for sure, this mac crew staff is cut throat when it comes to the players, that's for sure. As soon as gus edwards became available, move over danny dillard. Now that we got renfrow and Kamalu, all of a sudden now, luther robinson's name is nowhere to be see again. Prety soon coach goldie will began to realize, nobody here cares about what a guys height and weight is, in Miami, we been knew just because they have size & weight don't mean they can actually play football.

I'll take this guy at linebacker over anybody coach goldie or clown 117th has ever recruited in their life to be a linebacker, height & weight size my arse:

Nope and I don't think anyone else was either. That's just you trying to blow this out of proportion. It was Daniel's decision to leave. Probably due to Gus Edwards being cleared and being buried down the depth chart. Sucks but it's not a huge issue. Move on Gallo, Calvin, Harriet, D, or whoever the heck you are in fifteen minutes.

********

Perhaps. However, me thinks Goldie PRESSURED Daniel to bolt Coral Gables!! But then again, I could be wrong. But I doubt it!!

So much for having PATIENCE and what not. Especially with a prep player which was heavily, RECRUITED by Goldie!!

Golden "pressured" Daniel to leave. Because coaches always do this to redshirt freshmen they recruited. Do you have any evidence or are you "reading between the lines" again?

i dont see any reason for golden to pressure him to leave. dillard's best chance to see the field was as a back-up fullback right now and he basically said i dont want to play fullback...i'm out which isnt abnormal.

Great, the stroke victim is back.

Hey D, why not keep your idiotic ramblings to yourself and what not? Go bloody f*ck yourself. hUh.

Coach Golden closing the Fall camp a day early was another great coaching move on his part.

For those of us who have gone through the brutal two-a days in South Florida you know that being rewarded in this manner for doing a good job is huge.

The message by Coach Golden to his team is he greatly appreciates their off-season work and effort over the last several weeks.

The bottom-line is the one day off says a lot about the progress this year's team has made.

Bravo Coach Golden and our Canes!

the biggest running back on the team and he gets let go?....here we go "TMZ" all over again.

first edwards not dillard.....injuries on offense and 1st string defense allows 4 touchdown from a freshman.....

koolaid drinks, be prepared for a bad season.....NO way UM beats Florida.....not going to happen.

maybe the light will go on and realize that golden/dnofrio have to go.....you will all see in the end I was right.....

Miami 48

F.A.U. 13

Time is of the essence, and soon Cane bUbba will see what his BELOVED defensive coordinator is all about. hUh

Because Hurricane good ol' boy has already witnessed an inkling of what Goldie is all about.

Especially when it comes to CUTTING LOOSE another one of HIS heavily, recruited H.S. players. hUh

Really, you just show how dumb you are by reposting the same bogus list over and over and over again.

Entire high schools that we get recruits from.

Coaches that left for promotions to the NFL and other big time schools.

Recruits that Golden, you know, recruited.

enemy: UM needs a big back......duke is not big enough to be feature back with 250/300 carry season.....

dillard was perfect if for anything as a blocking back for johnson.....6'2" 225...give me a break...why would golden let him go.....hes an idiot

The celebrated "U-Tough" program installed by the great Al Golden has knowledgeable college football experts raving about the size, speed and strength of the 2013 Canes.

Having been physically pushed around for the last 6 or 7 years our Canes will now be able to take on and dominate the very best teams for 4 full quarters.

Al Golden is the best college football coach in America.

hahaha there is people on the team that's on your list.

D- He didn't "cut him loose" he left.

Dillard left. Isn't it likely that Dillard didn't want to be a fourth stringer so he decided to move on? Should Golden have moved him up the depth chart to keep him happy? No, players leave for situations that work better for them. It's not Golden's fault and it doesn't make the player a bad person. You overreacting trolls.

^^^^^^^^^^^

Daniel was probably a FREE LANCING, malcontent and what not.

So Goldie surely had to CHIT-CAN his funky, arse.

I wonder if PATIENCE is written anywhere in Goldie's 600 page college football dissertation. hUh

Wait a minute Gallo...you said size doesn't matter when you were lying about Coach Golden's "U-Tough" program. Yet, now that a kid who did bulk up under the "U-Tough" program simply didn't measure up athletically and knew he would never see the field while with the Canes decides to transfer to a school where he might play suddenly his SIZE is a big issue and makes his departure a huge loss.

Here's the deal nut job...I know it is hard for you to keep all of your aliases and lies straight, but the one where you rambled on about how size on these kids was bad and was not their "natural weight" (excuse me as I had to take a moment to laugh about that stupid comment of yours) is one you have repeated over and over and over again.

Does anyone know what happened to Earl Moore? He gave us some decent minutes LY, but have not seen his name mentioned on any depth chart. Is he hurt?

Hey Cane clucks.

heres another assignment.

Try and see how big my wang is. Sorry, its in my moms mouth!

I'm still waiting for D/Gallo/Calvin/Harriet/CaneFan72 to show any evidence that Golden pressured Daniel to leave... I'll keep waiting.

Soldy, you rascal. You said that it was reserved for only me.

Can I get a slunkmeat?

Sorry Arty!

Here up in Gainesville we only put or weiners in our own family's mouth!

SLURP SLURP I LOVE IT

Does anyone know what has happened to Earl Moore? havent heard anything and he was decent for us as a freshman LY.

Why does everyone get caught in the so called star rating so much. Out of every 5 star recruit how many of them make it to the NFL not to mention actually have a outstanding college career. Talent can only get you so far and after that you have to have the drive and determination to be great those are the type of players Coach Golden is recruiting. Take for instance TY Hilton from FIU was a big time talent and was not heavily recruited and now is staring in the NFL, why because of taent and the determination to be great. It's A CANES Thang []_[] wouldn't []_[]nderstand

According to the " current " roster, DT Moore is still listed among the 95+ Hurricane players.

So it's a mystery why his name hasn't been mentioned by Miami's BELOVED defensive coordinator, or Goldie.

Who knows. The kid will probably be another Goldie recruit, who just couldn't cut it as a U TOUGH player. And the kid will surely be CUT-LOOSE by Goldie. hUh

To bad y'all's BELOVED defensive coordinator hasn't grasped the above notion and what not. Eh. What say.

Because having the NO.116 team defense isn't ' NO Canes thing ' and what not. hUh

Yeah, yeah I've heard it a THOUSAND and ONE times... the defensive personnel were young and inexperienced, and what not, last season. dUh

Bloody CUT-LOOSE hUh? And what not. Go figure.

Gallo, even with your current list, this one is a stretch:
Gus Edwards – RB
This had NOTHING to do with Al Golden, this is an NCAA clearinghouse issue.

I would go through your list to show how wrong you are on the others, too, but I think that sample is a perfect example of your slant on that whole list.

Five Titles, Gus is cleared and back on the roster! hahaha My favorite on his list is Luther Campbell.

REAL DON SOLDY....get a job bro, or get a better one. go do something productive with your life rather than skimming Rivals.com school rankings and then writing an essay about it.

Hola REAL DON SOLDY.... you pathetic loser!!!!

Don't like losing Dillard, I thought he was getting reps in practice. Hopefully this will make Edwards grow up a little quicker and be able to contribute this year.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the IRONY of the entire Cane situation, is BOTH Daniel and Edwards were THREE-STAR prep recruits.

Yet, Goldie CHIT-CAN's a RB that's been practicing with the program for two year's.

And bet's everything on a true freshmen RB, from small town, Long Island, NY, who hasn't seen a second of live action, practice. hUh Go bloody figure!

By the way, Cane bubba bloviates about how ANY and ALL 3-Star prep players, from the Sunshine state, are 4-Star ballers in some other obscure, small state.

Yet, Goldie CUT'S LOOSE one of those Sunshine state H.S. player's, in favor of a 3-Star high school player from an unknown, small town on Long Island. Eh. What say.

D... we are still waiting on evidence that Golden chit-canned him or "pressured him to leave" The reports just said he left. Common sense would point that he was fourth on the depth chart. But, I'm sure whatever evidence you found on Gator Clause will prove that theory wrong. Don't keep us waiting man, we know you have incredible sources.

Hey D you ignorant uneducated maggot,

Edwards is from Staten Island, not Long Island. It's one of New York City's five boroughs genius.

go bloody figure.

What do you expect? D is one of the most ignorant morons on this blog. That he types like stroke victim is proof enough. hUh.

Staten Isle, Long Island. What does it matter.

This Hurricane GUSTAV is still a THREE-STAR former prep player, which hasn't even seen live practice, action yet.

And Goldie CUT'S LOOSE a RB with TWO SEASONS of practice experience and what not. Go figure!

Now, I could see Goldie CUTTING LOOSE Daniel and what not. When the Golden One has a FIVE-STAR prep player coming in this season, to replace Daniel.

But a 3-STAR preppy from the Northeast coast!?

With the season opener less than two weeks away, the Florida Gators are left to rely on an unproven stable of running backs that includes a walk-on and a converted defensive back.

Jones' absence also leaves quarterback Jeff Driskel as the Gators most-accomplished runner, a dubious situation for a team without an experienced back-up quarterback.

Still waiting on that evidence.

D,

We all know you are a pathological liar, but even for you repeating the lie that Coach Golden dismissed Danny Dillard from the team has set a new S.c.u.m.b.a.g standard.

D, the blog maggot.

Soldy, the blog Pig.

Coincidence?

Let's see now, y'all Cane GOOD OL' BOY's.

Miami now has a ex-TWO-STAR prep player at the fullback position. Albeit said FB is a true freshmen from the Sunshine state and what not.

And yes, the Hurricanes have finally received the clearance of a 3-Star GUSTAV. Whom will eventually move ahead on the depth chart, over this ex-TWO-STAR high school player from the Sunshine state. Who is currently listed as a 2nd-team FB.

Who well, 2-Stars, 3-Stars, 4-Stars What does it matter. As long as Goldie has HIS kind of players to uphold the U TOUGH mantra and what not.

It's just a tragedy that Daniel was CHIT-CANNED for misconduct of the Goldie sort. hUh

Hopefully the severity of D's stroke worsens so that he loses use of his hands and can no longer type.

Once that happens, all we need is Gallo to die in a car accident. Then this blog will only have one Pig left. Eh, Soldy? What say?

N-O-B-O-D-Y on canespace, or the eoth, or here at the M-H Hurricane football forum will ever know the REASON why Daniel was asked to leave Miami!!

So keep up the guess work and what not. Because that's what I do. Speculate. hUh

And yes, Daniel was probably PRESSURED to bolt Coral Gables! Bloody au contraire to what Cane Good Ol' Boy has to opine on the entire Green nd' Orange transfer matter. dUh

Since when does bloggers need to provide proof to substantiate their opinions?

Why don't you prove or provide evidence that Golden didn't dismiss him. I believe that he may have left, but if someone believes players are being "culled" as the good ole boy network would say--wouldn't a fan be justified to wonder or form an opinion different from yours or whats been reported after Grimble, Dye and now Dillard's departure all in a week's span? Dudes can't believe or understand how anyone could possibly come up with a thought that isn't on line with their own.

If the expectation is that we all have to qualify/substantiate our opinions with evidence or facts, then I'll go next: Prove or provide proof that Al Golden is the best football coach in America (like yall say)?

LOL... seriously.

Oh yeah, them good ol' boys do lot's of CULLING and what not.

Well, only the best head coach in America would take Temple U. from the bottom of the dung heap, to the top of the MIGHTY Mid-American Conference.

Staten Isle, Long Island. What does it matter.

For somebody to argue with d over whether it was staten island or long island reminds me of some idiot not so long ago trying argue with us on about whether the defense being ranked 116th not 117th. Once i saw that, i knew than when had some real clowns in here and fake UM fans. keep in mind they seemed to arguing the 116th ranking in self defense of oach OH-NO that's be in charge of the efense these last 2 years!

Who is surprised that Harriet comes to the defense of "D" saying he doesn't need evidence to back up his claim. This doesn't surprise me since they are the same person.

The simple report is that Daniel left the team. A normal person looks at the fact that he was fourth on the depth chart and thinks, he probably left to have a clear shot elsewhere. Those two/one troll reasons that no, Golden pressured him to leave the team because it makes a ton of sense for Golden to recruit someone, then ask them to leave the team.

Reason, the troll has none.
Evidence, the troll has none.
But a passionate obsession and four names to voice his ridiculousness, that he does have.

Harriet, D, Calvin... We do not have to prove that Golden didn't pressure him to leave. You are making that ridiculous statement out of thin air so it's on you to prove that. The rest of us have logic and a report that says he left. Logic being that he was fourth on the newly released depth chart so he probably left to greener pastures.

Crap, sorry to double post. That first post didn't show up for awhile

Harriet,

You want proof...no problem...we Canes say Coach Golden is the best college coach in America...there's your proof.

You see, unlike you cowardly Gators, we Canes are very familiar with greatness and know it when we see it.

Why all the screen names you coward? Why all the lies you coward? Why all the jealousy you coward?
