Kirk Herbstreit just now on radio about NCAA: "Good or bad, just get Miami some answers.''

ESPN College GameDay analyst Kirk Herbstreit, speaking to Joe Rose on 560 WQAM, was adamant about the frustration those connected to the University of Miami must feel regarding the NCAA situation that still has not been resolved after two-and-a-half years.

Herbstreit said the first thing he thought of was Miami when he heard the news yesterday about the NCAA gradually returning football scholarships to Penn State in relation to the Jerry Sandusky child molestation scandal.

"Miami was the first thing I thought about yesterday when I heard that news,'' Herbstreit said. "They have not only penalized Penn State, but circled back and reduced that penalty before we get anything on Miami. The only thing I can think of is because the NCAA fumbled the ball on the entire investigation with Miami and publicly admitted that, I've got to believe they've got to go all the way back and start basically from scratch in certain aspects of the investigation.

"I don't have anything to do with the NCAA; I never talk to anybody from the NCAA, so I don't have any idea. I wish I had some answers of, 'Hey, by November we're going to find out, but I don't know anything. I'm as frustrated by it. All I can do is just applaud the effort from the university, what they're doing, the direction that they're heading with Al Golden.

I don't know if people outside of the Miami Hurricane community really appreciate the challenges that Al Golden and his staff face week in and week out -- not just during the season but more importantly in the offseason when you're recruiting, when you're trying to recruit to unknown. The direction of your program, the penalties you may have to deal with and you're sitting here trying to talk a 17- or 18-year-old to come and play for you while Florida State and Florida and others, they don't have to worry about that.

"It's a shame, it really is. I just hope there are some answers. Good or bad, just get Miami some answers so they can move past this and move into another chapter of their program.''

No one cares about your thank yous. Please don't ever give any out so you don't need the drama of taking it back. you are pathetic.

The Gauls are still french and the Canes still won 21-16.

And you are still obsessed with me

Only a faux intellectual would consider being called a faux intellectual as a compliment.

^^Apparently U do care about my thank yous'--see U just posted about them.

Is not all about me, but according to U, it obviously is.

Pathetic is obsessing over someone U don't know, jumping in their quarrel with someone else and getting dropped--thats pathetic.

different day
different alias
same ownage

..thats pathetic. Try again tomorrow. Maybe U could use OrangeTie Mafia tomorrow...just a thought.

Dream on, Ms Self-absorbed.

You are the perfect self absorbed specimen.

It aint all about you, honey.

"It aint all about you, honey."

Did U roll your eyes, twist your lips and put your hand on your hips when U wrote that. Sounds very sweet LOL!

There's some bruised ego somewhere in the sarasota area of the state today since you're on a roll now Zak.

USF will play their best game of the year Saturday. It probably won't do much but keep it respectable unless Morris comes out real rusty which considering how much live game work he's had for almost the last month with that half and quarter of two runs and a pass play-calling in that 21-16 game, isn't a whole lot of quality time.

Ok troll

Golly...a whole 24 hours and Harriet the troll and carpet pilot hasn't posted that she's a Muslim and knows a Muslim cab driver...deep...very deep!

Here's the other Gator coach troll I own on a daily basis lol!

For anyone who wants to talk canes football and not witness troll obsess over me and the subsequent daily beat down that ensues--there's a new blog up about EJ.

I'll stay here to take out the garbage.

Rut Roh, maggots.

Well, at least you will have a built-in excuse.

Excuses are what losers have.

mike- I disagree

about 7 kids were r-ap-ed by the DC, duringand after his tenure- inside Penn State facilities (locker rooms etc), witnessed by an assistant coach, who instead of calling the police or stopping the rapist at the moment ran like a little scared ginger, and told the head coach--- Paterno- who in a moment of proof of his dementia- passed the buck onto the athletic director, who passed the buck to the president of the university, and when the board of trustees learned of the news, some of them passed the buck as well.

There is email proof of all that,

DC
assistant coach
head coach
Penn state facilities
AD
President
Board members

How is it not a football thing?

21-16 sounds about right...anyone down for another stump at the swamp?!? RIITTTTEEEE!!!

Lets remember that jacory committed the biggest crime of all 50 bucks for pizza on a Saturday night and Vernon had the nerve to take a cruise on nevins boat Sandusky just molested kids while everyone looked the other way no crime there

So what exactly was the punishment back when Peter Warrick and Coles where caught on tape at Dillards getting $1200 worth of stuff for $60, nothing
Just like the QB sophomore they had got arrested trying to cash a check he stole from a trucking Co. presidents office Desk.(Booster)
Kick him off the team with no questions about relationship.
I was about to road trip for the USF game,im gonna wait and see if the last few years replicates previous years as far as Phantom Holding calls that come out late after an Obvious big gain, like the second half run against UF that gets called back? Guy was 15 yards into his run when flag comes out for a no hold as commentator points out on replay. Had good seats, saw the Zebras head look to see runner in clear and then flag. Untill it stops Ranked is or Limit

Just like UM, the charges against PSU are all about LACK OF INSTITUTIONAL CONTROL, probably what the NCAA considers a worse offense than Manziel's, even though he should be germanely ineligible.
PSU's entire administration, top to bottom was in on the cover up. This makes anything UM, or anyone else for that matter, small time crime.
Even if it was simply paying players (which they also did), the nearly 20 years of coverup should have gotten them this penalty.

BTW Canes vs Gators is 29-26, just so you intellectuals get your facts straight!

List of intellectuals is incomplete without Barney Fife, Jim Carey and Miley Cyrus, Alex Baldwin and Sean Penn!

JMO

Joe, "what state am I in," Biden and Nancy, "lets pass it so we know whats in it," Pelosi and of course the professor Obama who has visited all 57 states and those Gulf ports of Jacksonville, Savannah and Charleston!

And who can forget Anthony, "take a picture of my," Weiner

The worst thing that the NCAA could do to make the 'U' pay the ulitimate price is :

PRECISELY WHAT THEY ARE DOING....MAKE A PROLONGED DECISION, TAKING EVERY OUNCE OF FLESH FROM US TO INTENSIFY THE AGONY .

THEY BOTCHED THEIR INVESTIGATION, INVESTIGATED THEMSELVES, HELD MEETINGS WITH THE 'U' BY HINTING AT RESOLUTION,THEN PULLED BACK AND PLAYED GAMES WITH DATES, AND THE MEDIA...
DELAYING THE INEVIATBLE...

BUT SOMEDAY THEY WILL HAVE TO STEP UP.

When that day arrives "THE NCAA IS GOING TO LOSE, NO MATTER WHAT THE PENALTIES, IF ANY".
THEY ARE DELAYING THEIR LOSS.

Go 'Canes
CAPS are a tribute to TKSWANN because I am mad as H*** that we are being SCR****, and every Sports fan is watching what the HE** is going to happen!!!!

The NCAA are using time as a club to beat us in the head for calling them on ineptness.

It is truly outrageous that the NCAA reduced Penn St's sanctions while deciding to keep deciding about Miami. What they have said is that repeatedly violating child rape laws, then covering them up for decades isn't so bad, while being unable to control a lying cheating booster warrants more study, which is a passive-agressive way to continue to punish The U without actually issuing a punishment. "Failure to exercise oversight" is exactly what the NCAA did to Miami, while PSU did far, far worse; they committed repeated felonies, becoming accessories to child rape, ruining the lives of countless children. It's a tribute to our great coach that he has been so successful recruiting despite the NCAA.
