Golden expects Morris to "close chapter" on ankle injury, "play kind of game he wants to play" Saturday at FSU

UM coach Al Golden made his weekly appearance on the ACC teleconference after Wednesday morning's practice. Among the noteworthy topics discussed:

> Asked for an update on quarterback Stephen Morris and his ankle, Golden said: "I think he looks great. I think he'll be able to close this chapter [on his ankle injury] and go out and play the kind of game he wants to play."

> With the Hurricanes playing it low-key this week and staying free of any bulletin board material, Golden was asked to contrast his team's perceived buttoned-down persona compared to Florida State's attitude: "I've never heard button-downed mentioned with our team before," he said.

"I think our guys play with a lot of passion. We got a couple celebration penalties that I'd like to button them down for those. I don't see how we're a button down team. I think we play with a lot of energy. I think we celebrate each other's big plays on offense and defense. I don't see how we're button-downed or that makes us button-downed. "

> Receiver Rashawn Scott was cleared to play last week versus Wake Forest, but didn't see any action. Where is Scott after Wednesday's practice?

"He's got to continue to prepare, work really hard here in the next 72 hours to prepare and eliminate any mental aspects of the game," Golden said. "He has to play fast. I think he's in good condition. He should be ready for this opportunity. It's good to get him back.

> Golden said when it comes to leadership every position group leader needs to step up this week. "Stephen [Morris] can't do it by himself," Golden said. "But certainly he's made a big difference. We're certainly going to need a lot of our position group leaders, Allen Hurns, Brandon Linder, Shayon Green, Anthony Chickillo, Denzel, Jimmy Gaines, all those guys are going to need to step up and lead. We're going to need that maturity. We're going to need that poise because obviously it's an elite team that's executing well right now, playing in a tough environment. We're going to have to draw on our leadership and certainly our unity."

> What will UM have to do better than some of FSU's previous opponents?

"We don't have enough time to cover it all, but we have to defend the deep ball," Golden said. "We have to tackle really well. We can't let them be a three-headed monster in terms of the perimeter pass game and then obviously the run game. We have to find a way to get pressure on them. That's the challenge, no question about it. We have to do a lot of things better than we did last Saturday. Hopefully our guys will continue to improve as the week goes on. No question that's the challenge in our building because we have to stop a lot of different things."

> With UM a 22-point underdog does Golden still see this Top 10 matchup as a clash of titans or does he feel like an underdog?

"I don't worry about any of that and I don't mean to be short with you," Golden said. "I just think I didn't really answer questions about being the favorite last week and I don't really want to talk about being the underdog this week. It's really a function of us preparing our young people for the type of game we want to play in terms of our game plan is, how we prepare and how we focus on the process everyday. It's certainly been a challenge for a better part of two years. Hopefully we've learned a lot from the adversity that can help us in this spot and get us focused on what we need to be focused on."

> What does it mean for UM to be playing in a matchup of two Top 10 teams again this late in the season considering the program has dealt with an NCAA investigation for the last 2-plus years?

"We're excited about moving forward," Golden said. "Last Tuesday was a rebirth or a renewal if you will. It really gave us the platform to move forward. So we're excited about that part of it. In terms of everything else you mentioned, look Florida State has so many weapons and is such a good team they're going to need every ounce of our focus and energy. Hopefully that is where our minds will be here in the next three days. That's where it has to be."

> What is Golden's favorite UM-FSU memory?

"All of them," he said. "The passion. The tradition. How much the games meant in terms of the national spotlight, repercussions of the post-season. It's exciting to have that opportunity and we want to continue to grow the type of team that expects to be in these type of games year in and year out. We're trying to build."

> After being torched by North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron two weeks ago how does Golden plan on defending FSU's Nick O'Leary?

"When Coach D'Onofrio says I spy 85 all week and we let 85 go for 200 yards clearly we didn't execute the game plan the way we needed to," Golden said. "We weren't specific enough. We weren't precise enough in the execution. Because of that the young man had a great game. We did not tackle well. We better tackle O'Leary really well. We better account for him in the red zone because he's always been a touchdown maker for them in the low red. Hopefully we learned a lot. Hopefully we applied that to Campanaro. Although he's going to get his catches we didn't allow to have as many as he normally does or the sheer number in terms of yards per catch. It wasn't perfect, but it was better. Obviously we have the same challenge here with Nick O'Leary, Rashad Greene or [Kelvin] Benjamin.

Cane 72, is another 1 beat drummer. By far the majority of snaps our defense has taken is with 4 defensive linemen.

Five Titles,

The guy lecturing you is the worst of the bunch and is a name changing troll. He was going by the screen name, DUH!, which fits him perfectly. Today he's using the screen names "Are you serious" and "Now we know who posted this", amongst others.

It takes a special kind of moron to say No D scheme is perfect to frustrate a qb. In 3 years who can you use as a reference. Not even Ms. five has agreed with you so you know that's a dumb statement.

Posted by: duh | October 29, 2013 at 09:15 PM

You present a special kind of stupid. If your tiny brain can read and understand the following...D'Onofrio presented the schemes I am talking about against Florida, which forced Driskel into 2 interceptions and 1 fumble. Now! Have someone add 2 plus 1 for you and then explain that is precisely why Miami beat the Gators.

For the third time, your screen name, DUH!, fits you like a glove.

It is nice to know you love nature...in spite of what it did to you!

Ron Zook,

I know that despicable troll is trying to get me to respond to HIS garbage. That trailer trash has no where to go with that 4-3 record.

Btw
Great point on the 4-3 defense.

I think the result Saturday will surprise a lot of people. It would appear a cakewalk for FSU but I think it will be anything but that. FSU has not had a close game this season and UM has had many.

@ Rick - agree about SM. I don't think he has the head for the position. Arm strength can only take you so far.

CANESPACE sucks...

AG has to beat FSU, NO EXCUSES!!

If RS beat FSU, then AG has to do the same!
3rd try is the charm...
If not, we need to fire D corch..

21-16....turds

Five Titles,

It really doesn't matter what Coach Golden does...he recruited athletes all through the NCAA debacle, yet, the trolls say he failed. He's delivered an undefeated season thus far and the trolls don't like the style they've won. He created the U-Tough program that made our players bigger, stronger and faster, but here again the trolls claim that is a bad thing and has made our players slow and clumsy. He currently has a top 5 rated recruiting class, yet the trolls claim it means nothing becuase they haven't signed as of today. Did I mention we are undefeated?

At any rate, keep your great and factual posts coming my friend.

Rick,

You and I have no idea what Golden is saying to Morris. Only a moron coach would publicly rip his starting qb.

This reminds me of the UCLA turnaround game. Little downside for us. The pressure is on the 22 point favorites.

Dookster,

Please don't come in here with more garbage. You already made a complete fool out of yourself with the dumb comment about Coach no d frustrating qbs. You see how many people agreed with you. Lmao.

Now you post about a defense being worse because they go from 3-4 to a 4-3. Did you need Barry Jackson to give you your opinion? Do you know transitioning from one to the other isn't easy and requires a different skill set at the front 7 guys. You need evidence of that all you had to do is see the hurricanes defense the last three years numnuts. Do you recall how much the ravens defense struggled when going from 4-3 to the 3-4. So what did that prove. Stick to cheerleading and leave the football to the guys.

Gatorkiller/ mountain cane,

Go back to canespace. We don't need anymore cowards in here. Comeback when you get some guts.

Ron,

I think any real fan would like the fact that we are undefeated with a chance to move into the top 5 of the BCS. Like Al always says we aren't perfect by no means but we are improving.

Al Golden is the best Coach in America.

Sit on it gators trolls

Stick to cheerleading and leave the football to the guys.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This coming from someone who wears his mommy's underwear and squats to whizz. This coming from someone who refers to himself as...DUH! lol!!

Five Titles,

I agree with you...

"Al Golden is the best Coach in America."

Five,

Let's just say for the sake of conversation that the guy that posted those comments aren't the same troll posting here now. You seemed obsessed with that guy. Do you know for a fact that's the same person? I mean wow, let it go. Do that poster give you nightmares or something. Now you are destroying the blogs. Even Jim Gallo with his wild silly list and lies aren't as bad as you and your conspiracy theories.
Posted by: Are you serious | October 30, 2013 at 04:06 PM
There has been one, consistent, foulmouthed, and obsessive troll that has attacked multiple blogs. He has bragged about it as well. The fact that he even attacks me as if I were people ON those other blogs attests to it. He has threatened me in the past, and never come through. So I merely threatened him back, to see if he truly is a coward. It has been proven so. So now a person with a BRAND NEW ID is following that same pattern.

If he would stop attacking me personally, daily, and vulgarly, I would do the same. So, yes, I am serious about defending myself from his disgusting lies, his attempts to get Canes fans banned, and his ID thefts in the hopes of getting Canes fans to fight with one another.

Just look above at how he has tried to claim I was Canesrule, and Letter to the Editor, and you can see that he is going to continue attacking me, seeking out my identity, like the blog terrorist he is. Look at the Post blog, dead. Sun Sentinel blog, dead. Thanks to his efforts and thanks to people accepting it and just leaving. He does not deserve the chance to destroy this discussion as well.

I have posted comments about the game, the teams, the hopes of what might happen, and he turns it into a personal attack on me. You choose to hide under a different ID, or nt post at all. I choose to defend my right to post here and for others to post here without his disgusting behavior.

He chose his path, and I have chosen to not allow it to succeed a third time.

I tried ignoring him, he still attacked. I tried leaving and going to another blog, he still attacked. I tried to offer him ANYTHING to get peace, he still attacked. Instead of going after me, why don't you go after the guy that is causing the disturbance in the first place.

Great attempt at diversion. Go find someone else opinion and come back and post.

21-16, the tic tacs aren't working. Try wiping Ur mouf with toilet paper.

As you can see:
1. The guy is a racist, has been using this fake ebonics in his attacks.
2. The guy is not interested in talking sports, but instead attacking the PERSON doing the writing.
3. The guy is obsessed with the Canes for years, having to dig back to 1987 to find something to rip them for now that the gatrs are no longer available, even though for five years he predicted a Canes loss to them.

Now, you might want this kind of trash to spread, as people decide to respond on the gatr blogs with his kind of evil, but I choose to take the high road, and take a stand here, allowing myself and others to discuss the game in peace.

Great attempt at diversion. Go find someone else opinion and come back and post.
Posted by: duh | October 30, 2013 at 05:44 PM
Great attempt at English, sicko coward. Go get some class, some education, some common sense, some backbone, coward, and NEVER come back and post. How many IDs does that make in one day? Be honest for once. Nah, we know you never will, coward.

Gatorkiller/ mountain cane,
Go back to canespace. We don't need anymore cowards in here. Comeback when you get some guts.

At least yu signed your name right, this time, sicko. "coward" fits you, coward.

Enough with the personal attacks.

always going back to sanctions ("what we went thru the last 2 years")

golden is defensive and worried..... "button down" and "3 headed monster"

the fraud ends Saturday....

ROFL, dawg, if we don't come out and look like we belong on the field, all these people that keep talking like Fsu has all this much talent over us is comical to me. They're receivers are no better than our receivers, in fact none of them run better routes than allen hurns, they just have somebody that can get them the ball on time and on target, that's the difference.

devonta freeman balls, but when it comes between him & duke johnson, that's basically a draw, Fsu just calls better running plays right now. We need to run the ball down Fsu's throat, but i know what they're going to do, they're going force smo17 to have to beat us and once that happens, we're going to have problems.

After having PERUSED all the intangibles and tangibles going into Saturday nite's title showdown No. 1. Yes, the first of two title meetings, because I've got a very, very good feeling both squads will face each others again in Charlotte.

Miami, Florida's defense absolutely must force that Heisman hopeful Seminole QB, into playing one of his relatively SUB-PAR games of the season. Yet, this will be a very, very, very difficult task for the Cane D-unit.

However, it's not an impossible task for the defense. I-F only Marky Mark game plans for a full-spectrum AGGRESSIVE, ATTACK from the get go. Anything less from the Hurricanes defense will spell disaster for both Goldie and Marky Mark. hUh

This game comes down to our ability/inability to get the ball to the TE's. Running and deep balls will be stuffed until the 4th quarter when conditioning will determine the outcome.

Key match ups:
#22 LB Telvin Smith (their most complete and explosive player in my opinion) vs. TE Clive Walford

and

#20 S/CB Lamarcus Joyner vs Stephen Morris

Both of these FSU players love to read the eyes of QBs and jump routes over the middle. We won our last two games because of our renewed ability to hit the TE and run in the 4th quarter. These keys don't change for Saturday night.

We have enough talent to beat FSU--not just compete. When Golden said, "We're a little behind those guys.." he was referring to the players (talent-wise) mainly. Thats a true statement but he neglected to mention that we were inferior coaching-wise as well.

This Saturday, the player's talent disparity doesn't exist and we'll see about where the coaching stands. No excuses...Go Canes!

A man's mettle is shown during times of adversity. There has been numerous references to and usages of "we", "our" and "us" these last 7 weeks of prosperity.

I'd like the transcripts to reflect that same unity, accountability and leadership in the case of an unfortunate loss Saturday. I know for a fact that we can win this game--its all about coaching. And no Golden shouldn't be fired if we lose.

So Calvin, if the teams swapped qbs we win. But you are saying if we swap coaches we win, too? Just confirming.

but i know what they're going to do, they're going force smo17 to have to beat us and once that happens, we're going to have problems.

Voila. Will the R-E-A-L D-E-A-L Stevie Morris " finally " show up, for bUddah's sake! Get outta' here with that hocus, pocus religion crap, Weirdo!

Because Miami's offense CANNOT become too one-dimensional on the road against MIGHTY F.S.U. dUh

It's like Bill Parcells used to say: "Somebody has to make the play."

This game is going to be decided up front. I'm not even sure if Duke will be able to break a few against this FSU defense. The FSU OL will give Winston tons of time.

The difference maker will be the adjustments and "surprise" calls. U got to keep the FSU defense off balance and throw the unexpected at them.

Crawford might be the key piece to winning this game that and the usage of the FB and TE.

Contrary to what some may believe: We will definitely miss WR Dorsett in a game of this magnitude.

Dorsett's speed demands the respect of safeties and if you pay attention closely--his speedy routes are often diversions for another underneath or over the top route by another WR, where Dorsett garners double team attention from DB's. He stretches the field considerably and has been known to be a good blocker as well.

Waters and Coley have to step up because the FSU defense can be burnt wide.

The thing is play calling. Duke, Crawford, and yes Hagens, if even used, can provide some punch.

Jimbo wants to make a statement. FSU could end up No. 1 and with a Heisman winner. That's a career for any other coach at any other school besides FSU.

New Heisman Watch:

A tie right now between Moritoa, Winston and Manziel. This will be about who finishes out the season best.

I also think there are people on UM's defense who should be playing but aren't.

GALLO........TROLL

CALVIN.....TROLL

CANE72.....TROLL

duh.....TROLL

DON'T FEED TROLLS...THEY JUST GET FLATULENT...(that's "gassy" for you uneducated gator and hole rednecks)

Oregon must be Stanford for the Mariota to win Heisman. FSU might cruise the rest of the way with nobody but overrated UF on the schedule.

I say the FSU QB wins Heisman and Jimbo establishes his place among the coaching patheons.

Cane WR Coley will be the player which will force F.S.U. to respect the long-ball.

It's a guarantee that QB Winston " gets his " on Saturday nite. Miami, Florida just has to relatively LIMIT how many yards passing the Seminole signal-caller gets. That's all.

If we play our game, we win easily! Their QB hasn't been in a close game yet! Have the faith! Al Golden is the best coach in college football! You'll see, we win this big and make a push to jump Oregon for the #2 spot!

Talk about Ur paranoid schizophrenia... That dude lives inside Ur empty head.

Posted by: Five Titles | October 30, 2013 at 05:47 PM

Double down on the meds Dude... and reply to this post in 3...2...1...

The u cannot blitz all game. That would be a bad decision. Man against those big receivers would be deadly. Zone is ok provided our players stay frosty. Tackle in space, take away the run

F$U is going to hit us hard..Bend but don't break. Use all our weapons..Expect 1 trick play..
"Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead"

I call USC over Mizzou. This week Miami over FSU and Stanford over Oregon. How can some of you call yourself cane fans. When you are throwing in the towel and surrendering victory to a instate rival. Loose the battle before the battle.I ride or die with the canes. We don't surrender or look up to any team. The best football in America is played down south. Wouldn't you want and hope for the best for your home team. Cheering on FSU on this blog and you call yourselves cane fans.I don't like Golden or Coach D. They are here to stay, get use to it. This team is 7-0 Something to be proud about. Get behind this team. Stand with the U

What up HARRIET, keep breaking it down, they don't know man. What's funny is, it seems like coach goldie & the 500 club are just as anxious to get teams in our redzone as teams are just as anxious to get in 3rd and longs against us cause they know they'll have all day to throw with that 3 man rush.

What i don't understand is, it's no secret we're going to primarily rush 3 d-lineemn on 3rd downs, so what's the point of bringing in a 4th d-lineemn and having him drop back into coverage, just bring an actual extra db.

We need to jump out on these dudes and force this winston character to have to play from behind and press.

This game is going to be the fastest that Morris has seen..No turnovers

Rick complains that goldie is not demanding better play from Morris. WTH?? Morris saved this team the last two games by moving the ball to a score in the last minute of the games to win the games and even then the Canes almost lost because dumbo's bend but don't break.

And then, other morons agree that dumbo is okay with a 3-4 even though it gives up hundreds of yards a game and even though when the Canes are in a 4 man def. front, they stop the other teams. Dumbo goes to a 3-4 with a zone and the other team gets a first and ten. And then, we read "we're 7-0." BFD. Against lesser teams and after UF gave a win to the Canes.

You guys whistle past the graves hoping for a Cane win but have NO facts supporting that the Canes can win, AND ESPECIALLY NOT WITH D'O's three def. linemen, LBs 5 yards of the los and zone pass NO coverage.

And Morris will NOT be able to throw long against FSU, they are too fast. They live in the offense's backfield. Sure hope he and the OC have been practicing their short game to TEs and 10-15 yard passes and buttonhooks. That is all the time they will have to throw. Two seconds.

As to all the BS by five titles all a fluster, I have NOT been on any other blog sites, nor have I threatened anyone. I move the numbers around on my screen name because it does not print my comments if I don't change it a little.

And here are the facts:
A three man defensive lineman front can NOT stop a run up the middle because there are five offensive linemen and a running back. That is 6 players against the Cane's three players who will get pushed back every time until they get to the LBs who dumbo sets five yards back from the los. Five yards on a running play sets up easy second and third and short.

A three man defensive lineman front can not stop end runs because the def. linemen get trapped inside.

A three man Cane def. front can not get to the QB on a pass play because they can not get through 6 blockers quickly enough to even cause a hurry much less a sack.

A three man Cane def. front will be worn out after one quarter because taking on two blockers each play is like weight lifting deep knee bends with weights for fifteen solid minutes. Nothing left.

Cane LBs five yards off the los can not stop the running back in less than five yards.

Canes DBs in a zone can not produce a coverage sack because the receiver just goes into a gap and the ball hits him with no one near him. First and ten.

Dumbo and goldier obviously do not know these things because NO ONE in their right mind runs a three man def front and a zone coverage unless they love humongous scores against their own team.

You like big scores against the Canes? Fine, watch Dumbo's three down Cane linemen and his DBs playing zone and watch the score mount up against the Canes.

IT WILL NOT CHANGE FROM NOW TO SAT. THE CANES NEED TO CONTROL BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL AT THE POINT OF ATTACK.
S MORRIS HAS BEEN INJURED AND ? IS HE NOW HEALTHY. I WOULD HOPE IF HE IS TENTATIVE THAT R WILLIAMS IS GIVEN A SHOT BEFORE IT GETS OUT OF HAND. IF WE CAN KEEP IT CLOSE TO THE 4 th WE CAN HAVE A LEGIT SHOT. IT IS UP TO THE SENIORS ESPECIALLY CHICKILO TO GET THE DEFENSE UP TO SNUFF. GO CANES.

So let's assume for arguments sake that D'No runs a bend but don't break dfense because he doesn't believe he has the horses to run an attacking style defense. How long do you give him to recruit said horses?

I myself would like to see more of Ty McCord and the freshman from Jersey on the field to supply the rush, with big Portis and Rentrow holding down teh middle. It's killing me that we're getting burned on the perimeter runs.

Also at some point I say let the corners play a little bump and run.

So let's just say for argument's sake that D'No runs a bend but don't break defense because he doesn't believe that he has the horses to run an attacking style defense. How long do you give hime to recruit those horses?

I for one would like to see Ty McCord and the freshman from JErsey get more time at DE, with big Porter and Rentrow in the middle. I think those four can produce a rush and allow for more man under two deep that we ran back in the day.

Also the 3-4 with the right personnel is very effective, that's why Bama runs it, and that's why a lot of NFL teams run it, some of you have no knowledge of fotbal whatsoever.

Espn regraded its espn 300 and our class moved up to #3. U 27 FSU 24.

Gallo. UM has won 2 of the last 3 in Trailerville doak campbell. 09 game was the last time but we only played 1 more time in 2011 and that was 23-19 I think at Doak..

Last year FSU had SR QB NFL #1 draft pick and all those Sr NFL Players and it was 16-10 going into 4th

I think Vegas is caught up and trying to get people to bet on FSU, knowing miami will keep it close

TAKE MIAMI AND THE POINTS

THIS IS THE FUN PART OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON WHEN YOU HAVE TWO RIVALRY UNDEFEATED TEAMS ABOUT TO FACE OFF ON NATIONAL TV. I READ THESE COMMENTS AND YOU CAN CLEARLY TELL WHO REALLY KNOWS FOOTBALL AND THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW FOOTBALL AND ALWAYS HAVE SOMTHING TO SAY THAT SHOWS THEY NOTHING. CASE IN POINT: EVERYONE WANTS TO CROWN FSU THE GREATEST TEAM PLAYING(THEY ARE TALENTED) BUT DIDN'T FSU LOSE LAST YEAR TO NC ST? DIDN'T THEY LOSE TO FLORIDA ALSO? WHAT DO THOSE TWO GAMES TELL YOU? 1. THE NOLES HAVE IMPROVED 2.THE CANES BEAT BOTH THOSE TEAMS. HAVE THE CANES IMPROVED FROM LAST YEAR? YES!! SO JUST BECAUSE WE ARE PLAYING IN DOAK AND HAVEN'T LOOKED GOOD THE LAST 3 GAMES WHY DO MOST FEEL THAT IT'S ALL ABOUT FSU AND NOT US. HERE IS WHAT YOU BANK ON.THE LAST3 TRIPS TO DOAK WHO WON THE MOST? THE LAST FEW TIMES THE TEAMS MET AND BOTH WERE UNDEFEATED WHO WON THE MOST? THE LAST 10 GAMES THE TEAM THAT RUSHED FOR MOST YARDS HAVE WON!! WHAT HAVE THE CANES DONE THE LAST 3GAMES VERY WELL? THEY RAN WELL EVEN WHEN DUKE GOT HURT! YOU COMPARE WINSTON AND MORRIS OKAY HOW MANY TIMES HAVE THE FRESHMAN QB IN THIS SERIES WON ? GO ALL THE WAY BACK AND COUNT? GUESS WHAT VERY FEW IF NOT ANY AND ONE I CAN REMEMBER WAS A REDSHIRT "BERNIE KOSAR" IN 83! CAN WE(CANES) WIN? DAMN RIGHT! WILL THEY? ONLY IF DUNNO GETS AGGRESSIVE IN HIS PLAY CALLING AND GO AFTER THAT FRESHMAN RELENTLESSLY!! HE WON'T!! AND THAT IS WHY WE LOSE CLOSE!! BUT AS I'VE SAID WE WILL WIN GAME 2 IN CHARLOTTE!! WHY? BECAUSE COACH DUNNO DOES MAKE GOOD ADJUSTMENTS!! GIVE HIM THAT. GO CANES!! MAKE ME WRONG AND BEAT THEM TWICE!!

Also the 3-4 with the right personnel is very effective, that's why Bama runs it, and that's why a lot of NFL teams run it, some of you have no knowledge of fotbal whatsoever.

GOOD POINTS. I think this coaching staff is solid and we'll been rebuilding through major hurdles from NCAA.

If you listened to all of D'Nofrio's interviews, the guys sounds sharp. And looking at our DEFENSIVE NUMBERS of 3 years, it keeps improving. This is coaching + recruiting at work.

OUR DEFENSE IS STILL AVERAGING IN THE SOPHMORE level of players. WE bring back most of that core next year and new transfers/JUCO guys on board. WE ARE GOING TO DOMINATE ON DEFENSE NEXT YEAR...

SORRY to the impatient KIDS on the this blog who think a championship is made overnight.... But when you watch football long enough to KNOW SOMETHING... it takes time. IN GOLDEN'S CASE... you give the man time to recover from the RANDY SHANNON EFFECT and NCAA SCREW-JOB....

GOLDEN CONTINUES TO IMPROVE THE CANES.....and MORE RAPIDLY THAN ANY OF US WOULD HAVE PREDICTED FOR THIS YEAR..

PLAY OUT 2013 and see how it falls out.

Then BATTEN THE HATCHES IN 2014...STORMS COMIN' B*TCHES!!!
