Canes quarterback Stephen Morris ignoring boos, chants for backup Ryan Williams

He knows he's had an up-and-down season, thrown more interceptions than he's liked and been inconsistent at times. But Stephen Morris isn't letting any of it get to him.

In fact, he's been so focused on doing his job better he didn't even hear the boos or the chants for backup Ryan Williams during Saturday night's 42-24 loss to Virginia Tech.

"Seriously? For real?" Morris responded Monday when told the chants for Williams were being made as UM's offense struggled. "That's hilarious. I didn't hear that at all. I don't even know what to say to it. You know how Miami fans are. I'm not going to criticize them or praise the fans in any sort of way. It is what it is."

A year ago, Morris was viewed as a welcome replacement for the interception-prone Jacory Harris. Fans were chanting Morris' name often during Harris' troublesome times. In his first full season as a starter last year, Morris posted solid numbers, completing passes at a 58.5 percent clip for 3,345 yards, 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His QB rating was 138.07 (51st nationally).

This season, he's actually doing better in terms of completion percentage (58.9) and QB rating (148.8, 30th nationally) although he's thrown more interceptions (10) and has fewer touchdowns (14) and is averaging fewer yards per game (219.9) compared to last year (278.8).

Where Morris has thrived really is the deep ball, completing 21 pass plays of 30 yards or more including a pair of career-long 81 and 84-yard touchdown passes in the loss to the Hokies. Overall, Morris ranks fifth nationally in pass plays of 30-yards or more. Last year's Heisman winner Johnny Manziel and Baylor's Bryce Petty lead the nation with 28 pass plays of 30 yards or more.

Is it tough for his family to hear the boos?

"People are going to do what people want to do," Morris said. "They're not really concerned with that at all. My parents have tough skin. They've been through a lot themselves in the business world, seen the other side of people as well as myself. Playing quarterback, I could care less what people say. I don't read media, do Instagram or Twitter. I don't read that. I'm not into newspapers. I just put myself away from that."

UM coach Al Golden pointed out that in Saturday's loss receivers dropped five passes from Morris, who finished 16 of 29 for 324 yards, 2 TDs and no interceptions. UM also had six drops against FSU.

"We try not to use the weather as an excuse. It's tough, definitely tough," Morris said of the drops. "The good news is we have guys like Allen [Hurns], one of the best leaders on the team. I let Allen just talk to the receivers, let him encourage his guys, guys who dropped it, lift their sprits because it's disappointing for those guys. Like I've been saying, it happens."

Morris said Monday his troublesome ankle feels a lot better than it did before and it feels like its 100 percent.

"A lot of people really didn't know what was going on and that's how I like to keep it," Morris said. "I was trying to stay positive, do everything the training room told me to do. I was in everyday at 6 a.m., doing treatments. But when you go week in and week out with the same feeling, it's kind of depressing. But at the same time it is what it is - you have to push through it. I think that's what my lesson was to my teammates."

He sure is taking the personality of his head coach. Keep saying my ankle is fine and find a way to slide it in as an excuse at the same damm time.

I guess that's why he thinks it's ok to giggle over on the side line.

I guarantee you at least 85% of draft eligible players leave this team this year and next. That will show you no one is buying into a process that has never won shat. As soon as they can they are out!!

I dub thee Jacory2

Calvin,

Have you listen to Golden tongue interview with Joe Rose. This dude does not belong here man. Joe Rose felt sorry for him. LOL.

He's running out of excuses. He say they we were forced to be more aggressive then we were. LOL. AGRESSIVE???WHEN??? He say we had a mess on our hands after the 3 turnovers so the game plan on defense changed. I guess he consider having the safties run back 40 yards on the snap instead of 25 yards is what he calls an adjustment. What was aggressive about what we did on defense the other night.

He also used that 2010 excuse, "when you expect to see a certain kind of offense and they change and do something different it makes it really hard"

LMAO, he act like they are cheating. Some one tell that clown it's called in game adjustment. Will Penn State please come in and hire these bums away from here.

///////////////////////////////////

He's to green to be here, and joe rose likes coach goldie so he keeps trying to go easy on em but even still coach goldie not making no sense. He talking about redzone stops, we haven't stopped anybody in the redzone seems like since the gaytor game. Coach goldie is to weak to be here if he's just going to keep harping on the fumbles, the fumbles. Real UM teams that were aggressive and didn't worry about the fumble, just went back out their and got the ball back. He talking about 3rd downs, we haven't stopped a team on 3rd down in how long, first they acting like it just started against Unc, than after that game, they act like not stopping a team on 3rd downs just started with wake forest.

Than after the Fsu game, they act like it just started with Fsu, now after the V-tech game, they still talking about 3rd down defense. And like i said before, coach goldie would not just get rid of his boy, he'd get rid of probably most of the defensive coaches just on gp for his boy. He would have no real justification for getting rid of coach barrow though, cause coach barrow has been producing since he's been here.

Almost all the linebackers under barrow have been productive, than with the young guns that came in with dzp, in gionni paul & eddie "bath salts" johnson, he had them group ballin and we finally for the first time in a long time had a group of linebackers that were ready to rumble in any game. But apparently they were a lil to ruff for coach goldie's liking after he lied to us and told us how great they were in the just minted signing class and how they were part of the new "core values" group.

I'mma be real honest, in coach goldie's first press conference he irritated the hell out of me running off all the UM stats and i'm thinking, this mofo faking man. Than he topped it off with the "please come back, please be apart of this program".

With him knowing all of those stats, he should've known that the players were going to come back no matter what, especially if you looked like you were actually building something. You didn't ask alot of them to comeback and get a job though. If anything tho, they coming back looking at clown 500 trying to figure WTH is he doing. bennie blades said it best when he said not to long ago, either last season or the first year "alot of coaches try to look like geniuses coaching defense with all them hand signals and this & that, it don't take all that".

Now goldie calling out all the stats on the joe rose show, lol, who was that said stats are for losers.

He talking about we had a 49yrd fieldgoal, who told you to go for that anyway after the dweeb couldn't hit fieldgoals less than that. Stupid decision, but joe rose asking him real questions talking about the defense being soft where he's talking about we got double the amount of sacks from last year, lol, how bout you mention most of those sacks were front loaded sacks from the weak schedule.

Ok, you the special teams coordinator, ok, you suck. What's funny is, coach goldie doesn't have a unit he can sac ride off of this year and make ignorant statements like he did last year when he said "i decided early on that we were going to have to try and out score people. I think jedd couldn't take this guy and rolled out.

Coach goldie needs to STHU, he talking about guys turning guys loose in man coverage, we been playing zone so long these guys not use to playing man, so who's fault is that. This robot defensive scheme doesn't rely on athleticism, that's why they said when they came in on defense "we need you to be where we ask you to be".

Now we got duke coming up, lol, and now coach goldie is trying to brag about being 7 & 2, knowing how weak the front loaded schedule was. Let's self impose a bowl game this year, but naw, now that i think about it, let's go head and get eligible for a major bowl against a real good team is what i want now. Cause coach goldie talked a lot of noise after that Sun bowl, here we are year 3, let's see what happens in a bowl game.

joe rose talking about how coach goldie has been around real good football teams, where!

I told all of U I seen this coming, I will give you my knowledge of why...1. Our Schedule has been very weak and we struggled. 2. We hired an offensive coordinator with no experience. 3. Our QB can only do one thing, (deep-ball). 4. They say our QB is a leader, let me explain to you why he's not.. Golden asked him before the USF game if healthy and he lied. He lied again after the USF game. He said that a player from USF twisted his ankle during the game on purpose. USF went to the media and said they checked the tape and said it is not true at all. Morris then says the same day he wants to put it behind him. (as hurricanes we don't lie about twisted ankles). 5. I am a 30 year Canes fan and this defensive scheme is right down trash. Our coordinator will not be hired anywhere else for a job. (Maybe at division 2 school). 6. When Morris was hurt Al had the perfect time against those week teams that we beat by 40 to sit Morris and let Ryan get some starting time. 7. Our QB made a comment at the end of a game that our defensive leader gave a great speech (OUR QB ALSO SAID "HE" GAVE A GREAT SPEECH" You think he might be stuck on himself? 8.The U up and running don't struggle every weekend against week teams. 9.When you got a QB that can only throw a deep ball and a weak defense that spells trouble.....I had to copy this from earlier, to put on here but I am adding more...So Morris just laughs at the Boo's, HEY MORRIS I AM LAUGHING AT U....THANK GO U ARE GONE

F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C Al Golden interview.

The man is the best coach in college football and like anyone that has a grasp of what has transpired over the last 3 years at the "U" (really the last 9 years) recognizes that we are in a rebuilding process that really only started several weeks ago after the final NCAA verdict was announced.

Big Al made a point that will always be lost on the know-nothing haters in that when a college program is canvassing the country for help in June it tells you they are woefully undermanned. In the case of the Canes due to the 3 year NCAA persecution.

Like it or not the Canes will soon be playing championship football under the leadership of the best college football coach...All Golden!!

Morris lied again he said he don't do twitter, THAT IS A LIE, I GOT INTO A ARGUMENT OVER A PICK HE PUT UP OF HIMSELF, AFTER DUKE CARRIED US TO VICTORY AT NC, I TOLD HIM HE HAD A LOT OF BALLS TO PUT UP A PICK OF HIMSELF LIKE HE KING KONG.....DUDE IS A JOKE

Pretty bad column. Was there more than 6 people yelling for Williams. Bottom line is most of Morse's passes were on the money and the TD passes to Hurns are NFL caliber.
The majority of the people who post here are not real Miami fans. Golden is doing much better than Davis or any other Miami coach for the first 3 years at the helm. Miami has to use too many true freshmen at skill positions to expect wonders. I'm excited about Yearby and Powell coming to Miami with all of the other great recruits. I hope they have enough sense to ignore all of the negative and ignorant comments on this site.

Keep making excuses LEE

Like they say you can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. This buffoon doesn't belong here. All these ESPN folks screaming his praise, when are they going to be able to name ONE job someone actually considered hiring him for.

The only way that Al Golden will hoist the crystal football in Miami is if he gets rid of D'No. If he can't do that then he needs to have Blake do it, or they can all three leave together.
I supported Golden & D'No to a fault just like I did Shannon & Co. I wanted to see how the VT game turned out and I expected the team to win the game. It didn't happen. I don't hate D'No, I wish him well, but I want to see how the defense performs with another coach setting up the schemes.
I'm not sold on Golden anymore either, but if he gets rid of D'No and brings in a "known commodity" for UM's DC that we can all get excited about then I would suggest that Al is performing his duties at a high level and should be allowed to coach for another year or two. If he sticks with D'No then as far as I'm concerned he will be a "dead man walking" to local coaches and recruits and he will set the program back another 4-5 years before he is eventually fired himself. That's not hating, that's simply my opinion based on UM's productivity in big games.
D'No must go.

Lee,

Great Post!

You are right about those posing as Canes fans that do nothing but attack the program and anyone that dares to comment positively about the Canes.

To the hater True Cane...your question proves you have no clue as to what the Miami program is about and certainly know less than zero concerning Al Golden.

Both UCLA and Tennessee wanted to hire Coach Golden and a Notre Dame insider said that Al Golden would be at the top of the list should Brian Kelly leave. Additionally, USC will want to interview Golden as soon as the season ends, along with other major programs who will be making coaching changes.

Once again, your comments, questions and assertions daylight your absences of knowledge concerning the game of college football.

Lee there are "True" Miami fans that think the coaches should be replaced, and there are "True" Miami fans that think they are doing a great job. Neither position is synonymous with being a "True" fan in my opinion.
I supported the coaches and the process until Saturday night. I cannot defend D'No anymore because 4-5 of the biggest gaffs that we committed on defense had nothing to do with athleticism, it was scheme and coaching.
I'm leery about Golden, but a strong DC hire would go a long way to cure that feeling. At the end of the day I don't expect Golden to run the defense but I expect him to manage the team and make corrections when they are necessary. The issues on defense are glaring and will not correct themselves in my opinion with 5 star athletes and conditioning. Things might improve under those conditions, but they won't take the program to the promised land.
With that said, D'No must go.

Duke is more than ready for this UM team. Again a lot will depend on how the D performs.

I don't know about evaluating SM. Looks like he's playing hurt, so the criticism might be unfair. he can throw bombs pretty well, but it's the short stuff he screws up. That's odd, considering you sort of pivot off the same foot, but probably your stance is a little different.

Somewhere along the line, ball control, of possession, usage of TE and FB went out the window. Crawford is the superstar secret weapon that every team covets. This O can put up points, but it does so in a flash, so to speak.

Maybe the OC has to grow into he job a little more.

It blows my mind that Morris talking to the Media that he does not do twitter, he put a picture of himself on twitter from Instagram like he was KING KONG after the NC game, I chewed him out and told him he had a lot off balls to do that as bad he has been....Yes he does not have that account any more( HE REALIZED HOW FOOLISHED HE LOOKED)This dude is stuck on himself and that why he has not got better. ( MORRIS IS A BACKYARD QB THAT TELLS EVERYBODY TO GO DEEP)

Give Al the same treatment they gave RS. This team is going in the wrong direction. Players aresacrifice

joe rose talking about how coach goldie has been around real good football teams, where!

Posted by: Calvin | November 11, 2013 at 04:58 PM

Yo dummy!! Big Al was associated with Penn State and the New England Patriots. Seriously, do you haters know anything?? And yes, I know, the Patriots and Nittany Lions were not good football programs...right??

Give Al the same treatment you gave RS. Players are being sacrifice with horrible play calling, schemes and loyalty to other staff members. This is a disservice to players,ex-players and the University of Miami. The fans are not that dumb, neither are some alumni members. Perception is reality. No matter what u say Seeing is believing. Show us something we can believe.

Zook, why is it that the media/ESPN talking heads that U reference in regards to Golden's good job at UM, never pick Us to win any big games?

Where is your factual proof that Golden is the best, using stats, not the opinions of the media, who've *never* said he was the best coach in college football?

Also Zook, please explain how your name makes Gator fans upset? Especially how it does while using it on a Canes blog?

We'll wait.

Zook, Beamer is 1-18 against top 5 teams. The ONLY win, 2003 UM, I would say your facts are messed up. FIREGOLDEN.com

Harriet the Slave-

Sweetie, you are not going to send my on one of your mindless errands. Al Golden nor I have to prove anything to you.

I have witnessed time and again where people have answered your lamebrain questions, comments, assertions, lies with answers that refute your crappola only to have you ignore the response and shortly thereafter post the same lies again.

You have posed the Ron Zook question at least 20 times and early on I would try to educate you as to why, but you being a liar and high on lack of intellect couldn't understand, which speaks to why you arrive at so many of your lamebrain conclusions.

Now run along junior--your bore me!

Al Golden is the best coach in all of college football!!

To the hater True Cane...your assertion that no programs wanted to hire Al Golden proves you have no clue. You know nothing as to what the Miami program is about and certainly know less than zero concerning Al Golden.

Additionally, USC will want to interview Golden as soon as the season ends, along with other major programs who will be making coaching changes.

Once again, your comments, questions and assertions daylight your absences of knowledge concerning the game of college football.

Again, nothing but misdirection, deflection, and added insults--as I predicted.

Those questions have never been answered by U and continue to avoided, thus the reposting of them.

Why can't U answer a "slaves" questions? they couldn't be that difficult and don't require any errands, just thinking and typing. Is that an errand for U?

At this point, THE BEST THING FOR MIAMI IS USC TAKES GOLDEN OUTTA HERE If he can't man up and get cood's to do their jobs, (friends) then he does not belong here. FIREGOLDEN.com

Zook, are U saying that U can't prove what U write about Golden?

What facts, support your claims? Stats would definitely support your claims correct?

How does your name, make Gator fans upset? Especially while being used on a Canes blog?

Remember ZOOK, you got fired, and UFelons started winning. I know your not the coach so don't go there, but the name is worth nothing. The only reason you want Golden would be to keep UM down, and just about out at this point

The crap NO defense formations of 3 down linemen and zone NO pass coverage were forced on the players to use by golden and d'o.

In the GT, UNC, and WF games, Morris and the offense had to win the game with last minute scores. Those games should not have been that close but for D'O's crap NO defense.

Take away those 3 miracle wins and d'o and golden's record this year is 4 - 5 right now which is what golden's mediocre performance has always been at temple and here.

Take away the miracle win against UF because they gave the game to Miami with 5 turnovers, and the Canes' record is 3 - 6, truly a losing record for loser coaches like golden and d'o.

And I put those negative facts squarely on d'o and golden. And things will NOT get better as long as they are at Miami because for the last couple of years, they have proven they are too stupid and too arrogant to change either the def. coor or his crap defense.

This guy was smiling and giggling on the sideline while we were getting our teeth kicked in by VT and then he gave a post game interview like he was the winning QB. Get Williams in the game!

All I can say is I can't believe we signed Al to an extension and he did nothing better than rd did. I wasn't crazy about rs but golden hasn't shown me anything that says he is better than rs. Golden has done a great job getting in recruits due to the NCAA investigation. He just needs to get the defense right. He has to find a new dc and realize it's business and not personal. We have good enough athletes on defense to be playing better. As long as his boy is running the D he will eventually be fired then he will take it personal because he didn't handle his business.

I know most of the commentards on the blog are trolls, but if you are honestly down on this team, you should not be.

This is a developing team which I expected to be 9-3 this year at best. Being undefeated and highly ranked was nice and it was nice to hope for a clear shot at the Coastal crown. But we still have a shot and are much improved over last year. Next year they will be better and building toward being highly ranked every year.

Enjoy the process, the journey back to the top, otherwise just go hop on another bandwagon.

UCLA, Tennessee and ND never wanted to hire al golden....all you have to do is check their blogs.....nobody ever mentioned from any administration that al golden was a target for hire......

post where and when if you can, lol

It would be a full time job to keep up with all the lies posted by the haters...Calvin, Gallo, Cane72, Cool Cat, cfl, Harriet the Slave, et al.

But here's the thing little girls...Al Golden will be the Canes head football coach for as long as he wants and your lies will NEVER change that. In other words I WIN...YOU LOSE!!!

LAUGHING AT ALL OF YOU!!!

AL GOLDEN IS THE BEST COACH IN ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!

the ACC title game probably out of reach, so UM playing for highest tier bowl game, but would like to see Williams get more snaps for next year.

J12 part 2 -the rebirth of qb apathy

Why haven't the best coach in all of college football won any titles. Seems like Ron Zook is Al P.R.man or damaged control on the blog. Let's face it Al is over his head at this level. This was not a rebuilding process this. Canes were suppose to win the Coastal Division. That's not rebuilding. The experts pick the canes to win with all those returning starters. Where are we today needing a wing man to help us get to the title game. Adminstration needs to evaluate this coaching staff and the direction this football team is headed. Millions of dollars were loss on the product that was on display Saturday night. BCS game gone down the drain. I don't think Al will be here as long as he wants.

Morris throws a decent deep ball, it's not his best throw. He gives reveivers one chance to catch the ball and rarely puts enough air under the pass. Morris is excellent at routes outside the numbers. Deep outs are his best throws...bullets. Those will get him in the league.

Golden will lose support if he keeps this staff. His stock is way high with this fan base so it would take another year for him to lose support.

Administration isn't going to make a change this year. They are probably tired of worrying about football for 3 years.

canesallnight,

Blah, blah, blah, blah, Al Golden will be the coach of the Miami Hurricanes for as long as he damn well pleases--and NOTHING you or what the other haters lie about will make one wit of a difference.

Furthermore, D'Onofrio will be the defensive coordinator as long as Big Al say's he's the defensive coordinator...PERIOD...END OF STORY!

You little girls have less than zip to say about that issue as well. And the fools claiming Blake may fire D'Onofrio would only do so with Big Al's permission.

The long and the short of it is...myself and the other "REAL" Canes win as usual and the haters once again LOSE!!

LAUGHING AT THE HATERS!!

RON ZOOK READ MY ABOVE POST AND TELL ME HE HAS THINGS UNDER CONTROL, I LOVE AL GOLDEN, MY TWITTER NAME IS CANESGOLDEN, BUT HE HAS MADE HUGE MISTAKES

Well he better damn well start winning meaningful games. We know the dc is garbage. This is a good challenge for him Cutcliff is a far better coach than golden is and London has his number. We could ver easily go one and 2 over the next three games.

John grudges and company are the main reason people are so misguided about schiano and golden. They get rewards for making programs respectable but that doesn't mean they are good coaches. Especially not at the U.tampa broke the bank for schiano and he has Tampa bay stinking.

Zook the Gator in Green instead blue, but with the same orange has proven what I've said about him all along tonight:

That he is an Al Golden fan--not a UM football fan. His posts tonight also prove that he puts Al Golden before our football program and sees Golden as a separate and most integral aspect of our team.

I know most of the commentards on the blog are trolls, but if you are honestly down on this team, you should not be.

Fans have every right to be down on the team and voicing concerns with coaching staff. How can fans enjoy the process with no defense (especially on 3rd downs) and not being able to convert 3rd downs while on offense?

I understand taking time to recruit and re-build, but giving up 500+ yards a game is never encouraging. I was hoping Morris would improve, but the ankle injury is still a set-back. As others pointed out the offense needs to utilize the TE's and FB's more in the game plan. For those wide receivers dropping balls, make them carry balls to class all week to send a message.

At what point do we stop saying we are rebuilding and need more depth. The offense is not utilizing everyone. The quarterback is making the offensive line look weak with his or the coaches decision on plays. No comment on the defense. They spend more time on the field then any other team at this level of play.

MdCane82,

Yes, you have every right to believe anything you like. I believe people should not be down on this team. The losses are very frustrating, but change a handful of plays in either game and the results could have been different. You are right, the injuries make a big difference at this stage of development, particularly Morris' ankle and losing Duke.

I agree, there are also things I would change. I would like to see things like; consistently throw to the TE ( past the line of scrimmage) and don't use Duke in short yardage. I would also prefer a press-man defense to the zone, especially when the zone is being so egregiously exploited. However, there may be reasons for the current approach that we, as fans, do not understand.

My larger point is that the team is further along than I thought they would be this year. So, yes, feel free to voice concerns and bemoan the losses. But don't abandon hope and call for firing all the coaches. I remember when everyone was down on Butch Davis at this point in his tenure. I also remember when everyone said Jimmy Johnson could not win the "big" game at this point in his career.

Every national pundit comments on the progress and notes that we are very lucky to have Al Golden. The U will be back, soon. Enjoy the journey.

I'll say it again - call me crazy --- IF FLA fires Muschamp - BRING HIM on as D COORDINATOR. He can recruit, he can coach defense ( when healthy )...and got to be better than the current play scared, mass protect the deep ball shizat we have seen the last 2 weeks. FSU and VT are light yrs ahead of UNC, USF, etc...but to have no name WRs/TEs/RBs running FREE all over the field???? - AND ONE OTHER NOTE - I love KEHOE - but our OL is SOFT....we get manhandled by 4 down lineman way too much! Does he ever put his stamp on that group of behemoths? --- we will have our hands full the rest of the season...every team we face can/has(UVA??) BEATEN US!!!

MORRIS - He lost me when he was smiling/giggling on the sideline @ FSU --- LOSING..Getting smoked...he had 2 nice throws, beautiful passes....how come he cannot throw the dump off - short pass, let someone try to make a play?? We all love the deep ball...when successful....but it should be 25%, not 75% of your passing game.

just a frustrated Miami fan. GOD Bless all of ya!

LongTimeCaneFan:

GREAT POST!!!!!!!!!!!.

I agree fully with what was written.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

The 'Canes are not a team of pieces, personalities, and puzzled bewilderment. They are a team trying to build depth, setting the infrastructure in similar fashion to Fla. State, and are 2-3 years behind..

Oh by the way: For 3 years Miami did have the sanctions hanging over their heads. Fla. State did not.
Many key players looked at the 'U' and went elsewhere because of the NCAA.

When we have to use transfers from other programs to shore up our team in certain positions that tells me we are still in a rebuilding mode. REALITY

Schemes will change, but you have to work with what your players are ABLE to accomplish, and also comfortable in game situations. REALITY

You called it.
The naysayers are running past Reality, but need to take a full picture look instead of a knee jerk snapshot, and slow down while recognizing the process of rebuilding. It does not happen overnight.

I like every fan hate to lose. It PI**** me off and I want to vent, but then REALITY sets in..this is part of the growing that we have to do in order to achieve success.
Good post again.
Go 'Canes

This is many at his best, stirring up trash against the team. The herald needs to have someone who SUPPORTS the canes, typical many trash

Morris doesnt have to worry cause if he throws 5 interceptions, fumbles and cant scramble, Gloden will say we have to fix this Stevie gets a pass just like Jacory did. Coachs are supposed to put best players on the field, if they dont perform make adjustment 2nd half, defense doesnt do that either, they come from same school, Coley is still out to lunch with play calling i dont think he knows where he is coaching, maybe just in his mind, everything is beautiful.

Morris, Howard, and whoever else need to forget about defending themselves and the coaches and worry about winning. If u don't want criticism then you need to play better. We all know about the looming sanctions, injuries, etc...but they should be angry at themselves, not feel entitled to some sort of celebration for having a better record than last seasons abomination. We compare our seasons to where we should be, not where we've been. And where we should be is at a top five level every year. U wanna make excuses, pass the buck, accept mediocrity, then keep smiling on the sideline while you turn this great program into a national joke. This season is over, Morris won't be here next year, time to see what Williams has. I'm sick of this incomprehensible loyalty golden has to his underachieving QBs. Morris has been outplayed by almost every qb we've played, we've led in time of possession twice this year, and we haven't strung together a solid drive all year (maybe a couple but u get my point). Judging from interviews, on field and sideline demeanor, Morris is a POS. Our D isn't nearly as much of a problem as our offense. The D can't be expected to play well when they're on the field all game.
