Golden says "Boo me" not Stephen Morris; Howard defends D'Onofrio (w/video)

As much as Al Golden would like to bunker down and ignore the heat coming from the outside after back-to-back losses, it's hard to ignore the criticism being directed at two people in particular these days: quarterback Stephen Morris and defensive coordinator Mark D'Onofrio.

Golden went to bat for both Tuesday and so did a few players who aren't happy with all of the blame being placed on D'Onofrio's scheme and play-calling or all the boos and chants for backup Ryan Williams that were made Saturday night.

"I'm taking the responsibility for Saturday, not Stephen Morris," Golden said Tuesday during his weekly press conference.

"I'm directly responsible for special teams - that's three turnovers and they happened in succession which compounded each time. Stephen, if he was allotted to have 68 plays, would have had his best game of the year. He had 53 plays, scored 24 points against a team giving up 16 points. He had [more than] 300 yards passing, doubles what they've been giving up. He was 16 of 27 with five drops. He could have been 21 of 27. He averaged 20 yards a completion. He didn't have any turnovers. I just think it's unfair, especially given what he's been playing with, dealing with and playing with [a sprained ankle] for eight weeks now.

"Again, boo me, be frustrated with me. But Stephen Morris? He's done everything, including stand and fight here the last two years. He's our quarterback and he's our leader, and he has my support."

Although Morris and teammates Asante Cleveland and Maurice Hagens said they didn't hear the boos when UM's offense was on the field, cornerback Tracy Howard said he and UM's defense definitely heard them and it bothered them. Howard, who was teammates with Williams at Miramar and won a state championship with him, said the boos for Morris were disrespectful.

"That's disrespectful. That's a sign of unloyal fans," Howard said. "Every player is not going to be perfect. Everybody is going to have their ups and downs -- especially the quarterback. The fans want the team to be good. If the fans want us to produce and be good they can't boo the quarterback. They don't know how he will take it, if it will lower his confidence.

"But the thing with Stephen is he's strong. That don't get to him. He's internally driven. We heard it, but we just blocked it out. I don't know why they did that to Stephen. He's a good quarterback. That's disrespectful."

Howard also had words for those blaming his defensive coordinator for Miami's struggles the last few weeks.

""The fans outside, they see the players messing up so they are automatically going to blame it on the defensive coordinator," he said. "Because sometimes in football as a fan, they don't really know football. So when they see guys being cut loose they think `Oh, it's the defensive coordinator's fault.' Really it's the execution from the players. I think we have to do a better job of having his back in the games. Outside people, they don't really know what's going on, don't know football to be honest."

"I feel like coach D'Onofrio calls great games. It's up to the players to execute."

Howard said D'Onofrio is "a great teacher."

"He knows the game in and out," Howard said. "He's taught me a lot about football since I got here. I think he does a great job telling us what to do and where to be at. And not just him, all the coaches. They relay it to us the best way possible.

"I get mad because I feel like if anything he calls great games. To be honest the fans should be more loyal. When we were 7-0 they were all happy. Now they want him out on his back. But that's the way football goes. I understand it. I'm not mad or anything. But I feel like they're being too hard.

"They're saying all type of crazy things about him. They're acting like we're a .500 team or something. We're not a .500 team. I feel like he calls great games. If they really understood football they might understand that."

Golden said flatly any decisions made on defense, offense or special teams -- from scheme on down -- basically go through him.

"I wasn't listening when people loved him either," Golden said of the critics. "It's always about change. You asked what has changed on defense. It was the discipline in making tough decisions not to change, to stay with it and do all the little things. Do we need to play better on defense than we did last week? There's no question. Absolutely, no question. Did we put them -did we put them in the worst position you have to be in as a defensive coordinator [with the turnovers]? Absolutely we did that.

"If people are upset with a coach or position - because we got them all this week. We heard we've got to catch the ball better. We got every email you can get. At the end of the day it's my responsibility. There's nothing that goes on in this building that I do not approve or sign off on, co-sign. At the end of the day I know that we have to fix a lot of things. I'm as disappointed as anybody in that loss, equally disappointed in the way it transpired. It's important we continue the continuity, and just move forward, keep pushing forward. It hasn't been easy. As a staff and organization let's push forward. And we do have handcuffs off with recruiting. My first recruiting class was six weeks. The next two years were hell [with the NCAA investigation]. It's time to move forward. We got to stop talking about all this other stuff and start focusing on Duke."

I promised to wait until this season, of ten plus wins, was completed to again state the facts of Al Golden's failure. He has not defeated a better team, ever. Nor has he not received a season without multiple losses to lesser teams.
-----------------------------------------------------

he did say that we are 7-2 LMAO, like we don't know that 3 of those teams have only won 5 games total.

What other coach in America touts such mediocrity? The king of Mediocrity himself, the one the only Al "I have a 300 page binder on being .500" Golden.

Ron Zook is Al Golden's agent

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I only wish that were true cupcake, because over the next 20 years Mr. Golden's agent will need a dump truck to haul away the fees he will make off of Big Al's contracts and endorsement deals.

Please put in a good word for me.

AL GOLDEN IS THE BEST COACH IN ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!

Don't get me wrong ron zook and like-minded MINIONS.

Golden and D'Onofrio will surely win at Miami, Florida.

Unfortunately, those winning seasons will be of the 8-4 or 9-3, and dare I say, 10-2 variety. Especially since Golden and the A.D. are INTENTIONALLY scheduling a SOFT non-conference schedule in the foreseeable future.

So, y'all can KISS AWAY those 11-1 or UNDEFEATED sort of Cane seasons. Because there's a high probability that it won't happen with Mark D'Onofrio. And yes, he'll have more 4/5-Star prep players to work with in the upcoming seasons.

But D'Onofrio's schemes and ploys will STUNT the growth of these 4/5-Star H.S. players.

Mistakes happen like stripped balls but our D playing to soft oncoverage has been there ever since after the florida game. And you see what happened that game we got turn overs cause we played more man coverage. I never thought I'd see the day miami would be playing prevent d fense instead of smacking wide outs in the mouth from the line of scrimage. Let me coachd just one game and I promise you at least 2 turn overs and 5 sacks. And I never played college ball nor coached. But I have played since I could walk and know the game isn't played like this to win games. Defense wins championships ask the 2001 canes

Our young kids at the U has watched Lebron Flop and it paid off for him, OUR DEFENSE HAS BEEN FLOPPING FOR THE LAST 3 YRS, FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP FLOP

I told all of U I seen this coming, I will give you my knowledge of why...1. Our Schedule has been very weak and we struggled. 2. We hired an offensive coordinator with no experience. 3. Our QB can only do one thing, (deep-ball). 4. They say our QB is a leader, let me explain to you why he's not.. Golden asked him before the USF game if healthy and he lied. He lied again after the USF game. He said that a player from USF twisted his ankle during the game on purpose. USF went to the media and said they checked the tape and said it is not true at all. Morris then says the same day he wants to put it behind him. (as hurricanes we don't lie about twisted ankles). 5. I am a 30 year Canes fan and this defensive scheme is right down trash. Our coordinator will not be hired anywhere else for a job. (Maybe at division 2 school). 6. When Morris was hurt Al had the perfect time against those week teams that we beat by 40 to sit Morris and let Ryan get some starting time. 7. Our QB made a comment at the end of a game that our defensive leader gave a great speech (OUR QB ALSO SAID "HE" GAVE A GREAT SPEECH" You think he might be stuck on himself? 8.The U up and running don't struggle every weekend against week teams. 9.When you got a QB that can only throw a deep ball and a weak defense that spells trouble....LEBRON FLOPS ON DEFENSE WHY CANT THE KIDS....

The playmaker said practice was harder than games. If you practice against dno all offseason long what kind of growth will the offense have. Dno is not only hurting our d but also our offense. Our offense always struggles against good defenses bc they're never pushed to the limit during practice. Morris probly thought he was the first overall pick after practicing against dno all season long. That's the only way I can explain how we have such a drastic fall in production from our offense whenever they play a real defense

I've giving all the trust and faith that I had in the d coordinator to my imainary friend, however, I do believe golden is the head coach for miami. He will learn one way or the other about South Florida football. Tracy Howard, he may not tackle, but teams are not throwing his way to often either. I to have all the games recorded and I review them and I have seen since the UNC game that every team we have faced runs somee variation of that offense they ran. They are attacking the middle, flats and the weak side of the defense and Duke will do the same. The variation of the 3/4 defense that miami runs is the problem. The d- line is spit way to far and using line backer to present a fourth line mine is crazy. Bring the3 linemen in stand your outside backers and centralize the middle two give the oline something to think about. The scheme being ran generates no pressure or push because its not confusing the oline, especially when the ball is being run the the weak side cause nobodies home. Dont' think I know what I'm talking about watch the FSU game again. Miami loaded there stong side FSU called a audible, switching the strong side miami adjust to overload the strong side and the ball came weak side nobody was there all night long.

Dead on Cane4ever......WE ARE TAST AND DUKE HAS THE BUTTER AND JELLY

TOAST>>>DAM

When golden says uphold the legacy what legacy had he upheld? Our defense is soft and nothing like anything we played in the past. Out guys dont play with bravado and the brash fear no one mentality is gone. Our guys are supersized now like a big ten team. We don't truly run a pro style offense that incorporates every position and every part of the field so what legacy has he upheld? The only thing I can think of is four fingers in the fourth quarter.

"Not according to a recent ESPN A.C.C. poll which had fan-dom voting on the Head Coach of the Year in the A.C.C.

Yeah, yeah it's not a valid scientific poll and what not. So what!

Posted by: D | November 12, 2013 at 05:17 PM"

But what about what Lou Holtz and Mark May say? That's the real measure of a coach. Being so very scientific and all that D. Outside of his record, that is.

it looks like everyone wants to take responsibility except Dnofrio. he has yet to say anything was his fault for any of the poor performance scene he has been here. Thats a problem.

Excellent synopsis CANES4EVER!

And, it's so evident to the casual Miami, Florida fan-dom whom AREN'T diehard Golden and D'Onofrio apologists.

W-H-Y doesn't both Golden and D'Onofrio see the OBVIOUS, also.

Or, they both that STUBBORN and refuse to TWEAK the ploys and schemes.

I don't know, because it's mind boggling to say the least.

Nevertheless, the LITMUS TEST for both Golden and D'Onofrio will be their FIFTH SEASON in Coral Gables, i.e, 2015.

Yeah, yeah I've been a staunch Mark D'Onofrio NAYSAYER since the 2011 Maryland game DISASTER.

Yet, I seriously wanna' SEE-r the Hurricanes finish the regular season with a 9-3 record and possibly win a bowl game. Any bowl game for that matter. Even if it's some FOURTH-TIER, obscure bowl game.

And I predict 9-3 because both Duke and Pittsburg on the road will be troublesome games for the Miami, Florida Hurricanes for all the obvious reasons. hUh

Stacy C doesn't fumble and continues into end zone for a 14-0 lead and it is whole different story; but giving up over 1,000 yds last two games is inexcusable.

golden is correct. Miami lost in part due to his incompetence in failing to teach ball carriers to cover up and hang on to the ball in traffic and in failing to tell the punter he is not fielding a baseball and in failing to teach players how to tackle. College football is not two touch or flag football. Players need to put their head on the ball or on the numbers of other players jerseys and wrap up. Boy, that was difficult. golden failed in not having hard hitting live tackling drills.

Howard is correct. defensive players stunk. But in defense of some players playing their heart out on every play, it is also D'O's and golden's three down linemen, LBs five yards off the los and their stupid ass zone prevent the win, NO pass coverage that has also cost the Canes the last two games. Until they change that and go to a constant four down linemen, move LBs up to within two or three yards of the LOS and play man to man under with two free safeties, Miami will NEVER be anything but another mediocre golden team, not now, not in two years, not in ten years. He just gives up too many yards in his prevent-the-win, bend and break, NO defense.

As far as Morris and the offense is concerned, ONE, they won against GT, UNC, and WF in the last minute of play in each game when golden and d'o did their best to lose with their prevent the win NO defense.
And TWO, the stupid OC looks great on one 60 yard, low percentage hail mary TD pass at FSU and looks stupid on another 60 yard intercepted pass.

goldie and his oc are too stupid to move the ball and get first and tens until they are close enough to score easily. Miami needs more throw to the TEs and more 15-20 yard slants in and out patterns so Morris can lead his receivers instead of throwing bombs and hoping they fall into some Cane's hands.

PS: I have a suggestion for keeping juniors and seniors from bolting to the NFL. Have players sign a contract that if they do bolt, they have to repay every cent of every value of every bit of their scholarships, with interest since they are essentially breaching their contracts with Miami and have plenty of money from the NFL.

Bottom line is every QB we play has one of his top two or three statistical games he will have all season. We never account for the check downs and the opposing team continually moves the chains going on 10-15 play drives for scores. Then our offense either goes three and out or if lucky gets a quick strike score. This is hard on our defense because they wind up playing 20-30 snaps more per game than they should. Our bend and break defense does not compliment our quick strike offense. We should be playing more aggressive on d with more blitzing and bump and run coverage. Yes your gonna give up more quick strike scores but you gonna get more sacks and turnovers and I'd rather have an occasional quick score against us over a long methodical drive that takes 12 plays and 8 min off the clock which keeps our offense off the field. Those extra 20-30 plays that our offense plays instead of our defense would could mean 14-21 points more per game. This would require nothing more than a change in coaching philosophy.

steve, you will not get a change in coaching philosophy until Miami fires golden and brings in a coach who has constant winning records whether it is from a division one program, a second tier, or even a large high school coach where his teams regularly wins championships.

The only reason shallalalala hired golden is politics. He sure is not a winning coach in any stretch of anyone's imagination. He and d'o are just gas bags.

Sometimes UM players are just not as good as we expect. Sometimes UM players try, but just don't have sufficient power or skill to geet the job done. Maybe at this stage of their game they don't have the quikness and speed to get the job done. You can not blame the coaches for this. They teach them, but you can lead a horse to water, but you can not make him THINK.

With golden it is always next year, get into the weight lifting room, blame the players, injuries, playing freshmen. WHY? B/C golden does NOT know football, not offense, not defense, not special teams, not fundamentals, not conditioning, and definitely NOT recruiting big tough, in shape linemen even if he had to go to junior colleges.

Football is won or lost on the LOS and within three yards either side of the ball. The run has to be stopped within no more than a three yard gain on every play. Give up more, and the other team does not even need to throw a pass, just keep picking up easy first and tens running three plays for 4, 4, and 3 yards = 11 = first and ten.

A three down defensive linemen even with a bunch of smaller LBs and corner backs can not stand up to 6 big offensive linemen and a 250 running back.

golden and d'o are too stupid and too arrogant to realize that.

I am going to keep repeating this, to make sure at least one player see's it

I told all of U I seen this coming, I will give you my knowledge of why...1. Our Schedule has been very weak and we struggled. 2. We hired an offensive coordinator with no experience. 3. Our QB can only do one thing, (deep-ball). 4. They say our QB is a leader, let me explain to you why he's not.. Golden asked him before the USF game if healthy and he lied. D'O's and golden's zone pass NO coverage can NEVER stop anything.

Even with just two seconds to throw, a QB can sit in the pocket and wait til his receivers go ten or fifteen yards, find a gap in the zone, turn, and there is the ball. First and ten. Do that a half dozen time, and the other team is in scoring range, either a TD or FG.

BOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOW'S THAT GOLDIE I AM BOOOOOOOING YOU SAVE THE PROGRAM FIREGOLDEN.com

“If I’m Al Golden, I feel sick,” said May. “This is a very good coach that definitely had Miami on the upswing, on the fast track to much, much better things and he really got blindsided by this entire NCAA situation…”

Yo haters! You had a 19 year old kid fresh out of high school beatch slap you and you are too stupid to realize it...hilarious!! He called you fools...FOOLS!! Tracy Howard and the rest of the Canes players (19 and 20 year old kids) read and listen to non-stop idiotic comments by you supposedly grown men, really grown women, and know you have no worldly idea what you are watching or talking about...I LOVE IT!

AL GOLDEN IS THE BEST COACH IN ALL OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!

AL GOLDEN WILL SOON DELIVER THE MIAMI HURRICANES THEIR 6TH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

whatever zook is smoking or mainlining, I am sure it is illegal.

Poor Cane72...a 19 year old kid fresh out of high school along with all the other current and former Canes players have labeled him and the other haters fools and accurately said they have no idea what they are looking at or talking about. Wow! Just brutal!!

Seriously, when you've got all the players calling you fools one would think if the haters had an ounce of intelligence or pride they would crawl back under the rock they came out from under and...SHUT-UP!!

This ain't Temple. Are the players that bad that they constantly are missing their assignments? Yes, the play calling and Offensive game plan was awful. Fans here have seen UM win 5 titles. Sorry Howard, we do know about football. After that type of performance Golden will have no fans in the stands. Again, this ain't Temple

GA Cane, I agree with you. Canes have five titles and were strongly in the hunt for three more. People outside the True Cane community do not understand that for the Hurricanes, a 11-1 season is a bad year, one for rebuilding, reloading. And a 10-2 season is a losing season.

In fact, the NCAA had to put in the Miami rule to tether the Canes so that other teams could win the NC once in a while. Or college football in other places would go extinct. For the Cane players, the Miami rule video of no no's was just the Cane highlight film.

Cane players from the year that Ericson came to town and was told to NOT touch that defense need to converge en mass onto the Cane practice field and show golden and d'o what good defensive schemes and formations really work.

Oh BTW, Ericson got a NC with that defense and team.

Steve nailed the mismatch on our defense vs. offensive balances. Very, very well put.

AG doesn't know how to beat a better team yet. The record doesn't lie. Like with RS, we have the talent to "overachieve," we just don't.

It's strange to hear and think at times that we have been "overachieving."

Thought the VT game was a true benchmark.
Now it's Duke? I guess so.

Win or lose this next game, AG and DNO have to know that the honeymoon ended last Saturday. Coley still gets a 1st year playcalling pass...

Credit Golden for sticking through the NCAA debacle. Shame on UM for not letting him know prior to hire...

Credit AG for the recruiting he has managed so far.
Credit AG for being a perfect pitchman with the media and fanbase - it is a vast improvement over RS...

However, I strongly contend an 8-4 regular season is absolutely no better than last year, given the schedule and the supposed development and experience.

9-3 is the least we could reasonably expect.

9-4 or 10-3 with a bowl - depends on the game.

7-6 or 8-5 is utter failure and demands....SOMETHING done on the coaching staffs.

Lotta great comments here this thread.

Below are remarks that many nationally syndicated talking heads have bellowed over the past 3 years that recruits, their parents, advisers, friends, high school coaches and recruiters from Florida and many other schools drilled into their heads. Al Golden is the best coach in all of college football:

ESPN’s MARK MAY BELIEVES MIAMI HURRICANES SHOULD GET THE DEATH PENALTY

Shortly after allegations surfaced of widespread NCAA violations at UM, ESPN analyst Mark May said that, “If there ever was a case [for the death penalty], this is the case.”

May was on an ESPN conference call with college football writers on Thursday and I asked him if he still felt that way.

Mark May “Absolutely,” May said.

“If there was ever a situation that [merited the death penalty/ this would be it. That’s my opinion and I stick to it.

THIS IS WHY THE CANES ARE LACKING THE TALENT AND DEPTH TO COMPETE AT THE HIGHEST LEVELS AND IF NOT FOR AL GOLDEN THIS YEAR'S SQUAD WOULD HAVE WON ONE OR TWO GAMES AND WOULD HAVE NEVER BEAT THE GATORS...BRAVO AL GOLDEN!!

Ron Zook can I ask you a serious question? Do you really think that last year when this defense was 116 that our talent was 116 in the country? Do you really think our talent is lacking so much that we barely beat unc and wake and got blown out by vt. Do you really believe that unc and wake have equal talent to um and vt has superior talent to um? And if you do can you tell the other bloggers here why you feel that way when the majority doesn't. And even this year this defense is ranked in the 50s and do you honestly think all those teams ranked ahead of our defense have more talent? And don't worry I'm not attacking or being a homer I'm just really curious how our views can be so different when we watch the same games

And you call fans haters just bc they don't blindly follow golden, but at the same time you quote mark may who may be truly the biggest miami hater on espn besides holtz as valid evidence to prove golden is the greatest coach. Do you not see a flaw in your reasoning?

9-3 is the least we could reasonably expect.

9-4 or 10-3 with a bowl - depends on the game.

You simply are not looking at the current state of the Miami Hurricanes football program with a clear and unbiased eye.

If you factor in the toxic program that Randy Shannon left Al Golden, which was in a death spiral and then factor in the 3 year NCAA persecution that came afterwards, designed by NCAA president Mark Emmert to destroy the Miami football program for the next 20 to 30 years, then you have to marvel at what Al Golden has accomplished.

Al Golden has consistently said that the Canes are not back as of yet and now that he is no longer handcuffed by the NCAA the true renaissance will begin in earnest.

The knowledgeable Miami Hurricane football fans, Canes boosters and administrators and current and former players are thrilled beyond words knowing what Al Golden was able to accomplish over the last 3 years knowing he saved the program from being SMU for the next 30 years or longer.

I know many knowledgeable football people who with 100% certainty believe to their very core that Al Golden will bring National Championships to Miami should Golden elect to stay with the program (which may be a question as the haters aren't smart enough to know what has transpired and after what Al did to hear this idiocy he may sign with another major program, which you will see he will have numerous opportunities to do so this off season, because athletic directors across the country sure know, appreciate and greatly admire what Al has done for the Canes).

I live and die with every Miami win or loss and have done so for more years than many on this blog have been alive. Yet, if the Canes don't win another game this season I will be eternally grateful for the job Al Golden has done so far and with a huge smile look forward to the years and years of Canes successes to come.

Go Canes!!

If you know Morris has a bum ankle then why do you continue to run the more famine than feast ridiculous play action pass that has doomed us for the last 5 years.the one time we ran a screen against tech we scored. We throw two or three picks and get sacked 2 or three times for every td we throw from that play.

The dc has us in a death spiral currently but hey you think 10-2 or 9-3 is a good season with an extremely porous defense.

Ron Zook can you enlighten us on who these knowledgeable football people are who 100% to the core believe al golden will win a nc bc why would you keep that kind of great information to yourself. If you shared with us who they were maybe you could put alot of fans who are apprehensive about golden at ease. Are these ppl your friends? Tv analysts? Sports radio hosts? Sports writers?

It is the coach's responsibility to have them ready and the players have to perform. Neither did their job last week. You play on results not probability of how you might do. If AG does not make some changes then he will be singing the same old song-"blame it on me"

Morris has been hurt and Al is right he played better than the backup could. I'm not sold on the Defense, we play too much off the ball and don't bring pressure. That gives the other team long drives and keeps our offense off the field. Pressure them and if they score quick we get the ball back and Morris gets more possessions. Regardless its hard with you lost 2 1st round draft picks.

I really hope the kids DO rally around each other and PLAY their AZZEZ off here on out, and taking up for their coaches and qb is a good sign of unity, but SHOW IT ON THE FIELD. I'm not a fan of booing your OWN TEAM either, I mean come on man, it's not all the kids fault and in his defense Morris DID have a good game. My issues are with Dno and adjusting better, and we can still finish strong. Let's start by POUNDING F'ING DUKE!!!!

ok guys Im trying not to point any blame but on the one 3rd down play when morris calmly stepped out of bounds instead of trying to pick up the first down.that did it for me if his ankle injury is that bad he should not be playing . There are a dozen quarterbacks in collage football that would have put there head down and headed up field

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY YOU NEVER NEER NEVER HIRE YOUR FRIENDS OR YOUR FAMILY GOLDEN DOESN'T HAVE THE SCREWS TO FIRE HIS BOY SO MAYBE HIS BOY WILL COME AROUND AND REALIZE HE SUCS!

3rd and 17 + 3rd and 12 = 14

////////////////////////////////

And this one too, ROFL!

The funny thing to me though is, coach goldie harping on the turn-overs and this and that, the one turn-over tht hurt us the most was the one where o'donnels knee touched the ground before kicking off, the other turn-overs didn't hurt, as normally, clown 500 did.

We've heard for 2 3/4 years now how coach goldie and clown 500 basically just talk about getting redzone stops. This whole defensive philosophy is based on relying on turn-overs, if not, getting redzone stops, so why was coach goldie and clown 500 complaining about the fumbles, getting teams in the redzone has been coach goldie and his minions whole game plan anyway, so if a team starts at the 50 what difference does it make, they were going to get there anyway.

And now i see it being said that coach barrow is responsible for the linebackers covering the receivers, lol. First off coach barrow has done more than a respectable job, since he's been here, a linebacker has gotten drafted almost ever year, 2007=jon beason, 2008, tavares gooden, 2009=process, 2010=sharpton, 2011=c-mac & 2012=spence.

Then he had the 3 horsemen in dzp52, gionni paul & eddie "bath salts" johnson beginning to terrorize teams and what does goldie do being True to form according to one of his by-laws, he's cuts off his hand to spite his face and gets rid of gionni & eddie johnson, coach goldie has a fear of success. So since coach barrow was out shining his boy this is what coach goldie did to coach barrow(http://youtu.be/vY-9FTpcRI4). SO now he has a serviceable bloated jimmy gaines and is it t.y. this week, or figs or thurston "in goldie's dog house" armbrister.

Coach goldie coming out saying it's all on him, of course it is, you're the one getting 2million plus. Just like the first game he ever coached here when he said "it was enuff talent out there to win that game" so it's been this year with our 2 losses. I could careless what anybody says, Fsu is not that much more talented than us, our 3 phases of football, semi-offense, special(for somebody) teams & escort service.

Is logan thomas better than jameis winston, winston had a harder time against us than logan did. And it's sad that once again the "read option" beat us in 2011against V-tech, and the read option beat us last weekend. Same play, i hear tracy howard sticking up for his coach, but tracy said all you need to know, he said "the 500 club has taught me alot about defense".

So now all somebody needs to do now is teach tracy how clown 500 don't know alot about defense. He's saying basically the 500 club is teaching next level defense, another reason why it's stupid to run this defense, we not going up against nfl offenses, but anyway, who's idea is it to build this new facility just because it's hot down here, it didn't just get like that!

No, I will not enlighten you as to who those experts are that I referenced due to the certainty that the confederacy of dunces hate group stationed on this blog would only attack them, just as they did Tracy Howard for finally putting them in their rightful place.

What I will tell you is they do come from the various fields you touched on and know more about the game and the situation down in Miami than anyone in the country.

Finally, if Al Golden decides to leave the Canes after all he has done the administration will be lucky to hire a local high school coach as no coach in their right mind would take over this program and be subjected to what appears more and more too be the most uneducated and ungrateful fan base in the nation.

Ron zook is a moron. Keep toeing the company line and believe everything the PR dept puts out there you!

I don't mind giving Al more time, hell it took Butch 4 to 5 yrs to get us back on track, so I think he at least deserves that, but yes Dno needs to either DRASTICALLY change his strategy, or he needs to be replaced.

Hey Zook don't sweat these idiots. They are the same tools that would have been clamouring for Butch Davis to be fired in his third year and we all know what he created. That old 63- to what ever blow out to Syracuse that he suffered reminded me much of this past game except we looked far worse in that game and the next time we took the field the Canes upset UCLA and Cade McNown. It's just two loses in year 3 of the process and these morons are jumping up doing a tap dance on their keyboards acting like they know something, which they don't as our 5 star corner just pointed out.
