Slow day in Taiwan, apparently.

Lee Corso trap door and spray painting unconquered to read as conquered were good, the rest was painful to watch.

HTC,
Do you really think players are scared because they aren't trash talking?
What does trash talking right now do for Denzel Perryman? Does it get him more motivated or something? Is FSU going to play any harder if UM trash talks them?
Trash talking in the media makes these guys look like idiots. Regardless of the outcome, it would just make them look foolish. Talk is just that talk, it doesn't scare anyone. If anything it makes you look like an ignorant person with 0 class.

Spoken like a guy who truly never played sports or lives in riverside. Instead of just trying to refute Harriet TUBMAN for the sake of just trying to refute him, you should really pay attention to your post and than you would realize how ridiculous this is.

Here are some key points you might've heard of:

* Bulletin/Chalk Board Material
* They got in our heads and got us off of our game
* taunting penalties

This should give you a little clue on where i don't need to go with this post.

You ever heard of Muhammad Ali or floyd mayweahter, there is a reason guys like that talk alot before the actual fight/s as well as talking to em while they fighting.

While us not talking is not an indication that we're not confident, i'll tell you what not talking does, it makes a team like Fsu feel like ok, they don't want none, let's go out there and punish them boyz.

When did Calvin become Tubby's spokesgirl?

I played football, son. And I was good.

I brought it on the field. On the field I'd eat someone face off and spike it. Off the field means nothing bro. It's all just talk. There's a millions punks out there that can talk, but when the ch*t goes down they are punks.

A lot like the guys on here who are scared of Jameis Winston and the Noles.

Shouldn't the Tiawanese be preparing for a Chinese invasion or something?

Ali always said he was trying to get into opponents heads. Mayweather does it for attention.

There's no reason to get into FSU's head. FSU is already picturing themselves in the championship game. They do believe Miami is scared. That's exactly where Miami needs them to be. There's no talk required. Let FSU think we don't want none. It's perfect.

You think it's cool to trash talk because you take your queue from the opponent. Don't check or test somebody, if you going to go, just go.

Yeah...that trash talking really helped us against Penn State...you know the team Al Golden played for.

Or, we really showed Louisville with our trash talking and stomping on their logo prior to the game only to get waxed.

Then their was Virginia...some will remember that being the last game the Canes ever played in the Orange Bowl and the week leading up to the game our players were like chatty Cathy's with their "trash talk"...then 48 to nothing later we looked like clowns.

Trash talking is good for one thing and one thing only...making you look like a fool when you don't back it up.

Finally, Calvin you trash talk on this blog and look at how people view your act...not good!!

@calvin

So your saying a dog that doesn't bark won't bite. Joe Frazier didn't talk, but he whipped Ali's butt. Dude I bet your friends think you know it all and realize you dont know anything at all

She love me long time..

Hey junk, I wouldn't sweat anything that an idiot like Calvin would say anyway. Just look at his name "Calvin" and that pretty much tells us how much he knows. If that isn't enough just look a the tiresome redundant drivel that she spews from her keyboard onto this blog. Any fool who thinks Randy Shannon was a good head coach or thinks Jacory Harris was some great QB is a complete idiot to begin with.

Championships----bingo.

true championships

Been reading these posts from Calvin & Gallo

These guys are crazy. They seem to hate UM even as they claim they know what will make them champions again.

Wow, they think Randy Shannon was the answer? But Golden is not?

Coulda woulda shoulda- that's delusional talk or they are just trying to get people upset on this blog.

Especially this Gallo guy who literally doesn't use any logic in his statements at all. He seems to despise Golden and will bend the facts to suit that belief. Reality doesn't seem to be part of his thought process.

But back to real football talk...

I like the quiet Canes team. They are being disrespected by everyone, even their own "fans" here. I believe that guys like Portis, Irvin, JJ, Barrow, Lewis are there this week sharing with them their knowledge of what it takes to fire up the beast in them.

Let that anger build up. Stay quiet and let it build up like a bomb. Then drop that bomb on FSU.

Boom!

Posted by: StormsCominBitches | November 01, 2013 at 06:26 PM

Golden is a genius. He told them to button it and will let all the talk boil until right before kick-off.

I still never posted anything about trash talking lol! It was a Gallo post, but ok.

This game is our NC and it should be played as such. No bullets left in the chamber.

I want to see Muhammad, Porter, Chickillo, and McCord on that DL tomorrow night. Every time McCord plays enough to get in a groove he makes game changing plays. Muhammad is an absolute beast, he is relentless with pure intentions of destruction--a great looking freshman.

The more I think of this game, the more becomes clear that this game is primarily on Stephen Morris to manage. He is a senior and it's his time to shine in the lights. He is facing a freshman, he can't be outperformed and he can't throw INTs.

A loss is not the end of the world and it isn't "all good" either.

I played football, son. And I was good.

I brought it on the field. On the field I'd eat someone face off and spike it. Off the field means nothing bro. It's all just talk. There's a millions punks out there that can talk, but when the ch*t goes down they are punks.

Ok, well now you talking, but most people in life get punked by talk and threats, especially if it's from people they know who'll actually back it up. Right now, i don't mind guys being quiet only because we really actually don't have any room to talk because we haven't done anything but beat a bunch of cupcakes but we did beat a healthy gaytor team. Other than that though, i still think that gaytor defense was the best defense we'll see all year, followed by either Fsu or V-tech.

The one thing coach coley needs to do is use duke as a decoy earlier on and be sure to get the ball in the hands of stacy coley and herb waters, those 2 guys can get it done for sure, specifically on reverses. allen hurns is healthier than he was before he needed shoulder surgery so he'll do his thang out there, but i like how our defense is getting disrespected, the scheme might be soft but we got alot of guys over there on that defense with self pride.

dzp has self pride
deon bush & t3 definitely self pride
rayshawn jenkins & gunther, self pride
3g & shayon "actually getting to the qb(x2) this year" green, senior & self pride.

This unit is the one i'm nore interested in seeing, the offense has been to much of a struggle to watch most of the season. I want to see our defense take the field first.

pat o'donell beware and he might just be the mvp of this game. smo17, don't do like you did last year and cough up the ball for no reason while we were leading 10 to 0. By the way, for those of you that have been trying to put smo17 in the upper echelon of qb's by singing the chorus led by coach goldie & the media, the real barometer is, what do opposing defenses have to say about em, those are the ones that know whether you're certified or not.

Posted by: Calvin | November 01, 2013 at 07:34 PM

Good post Calvin. I agree with you here.

We can't get punked up there...we need to go and take care of business. Morris will be fine. Offensive line and defensive lines need to be dogs tomorrow.

FSU 63 UM (at the half)

Talk to the media don't make you tough man. These kids been through []_[]tough. The believe in themselves. It's all about he []_[]. They not watching that tough talk. They coming to bang tomorrow night. That's what they're focused on.

Dude, just because you bump your gums before the git-down it doesn't make you tough, man. The baddest dudes on the planet stand silently while TV tough-guys run their mouths. You sit in silence because that talk doesn't move you. I wanna see it on the field. Who have they played that brought it so far? We played the toughest D in the country already and handled that.

If tough talk on TV moves you you're a sissy.

We gonna see tomorrow.

feature the Duke and Dallas with 2 TE. Play through them and open the play book.

It's hard to disagree with Manny that the NOLES look like the stronger team on paper. I'd feel more confident if Dorsett was playing, but I'm not going to the game expecting to lose.

I doubt that we'll blow the Noles away, but I expect we'll find a way to win. I don't see this as a David v. Goliath thing, despite the spread. I'm going to see two really good teams make history. I like our chances if we execute to our standards every time the ball is snapped.

The CANES have some silent difference-makers in Bush, Figeroa, Henderson and Scott. Their team mates need them to play like 5-stars tonight. If #46 has at least 8 receptions, I'm going home happy.

I agree about us finding a way to win. This is going to be a good one.

I'm not watching Gameday because I know one of those guys is going to say something that's going to piss me off. We shouldn't maintain any relationships with the Gameday crew.

I'm not sure where you getting the notion that i was saying talking makes you tuff, you've clearly missed the point. Were the UM teams of the 80's and 90's & the 2000's going to let anybody say something about them without responding back, you know that answeR, hell no. Most people that get bullied in Life get bullied because they don't talk back or say anything they just take it. I know how we think in Miami and being passive is not in our nature that's that big penn disgrace mentality.

In fact, by coach goldie trying to keep guys from saying anything to not give Fsu more motivation(which when we were coming up, we talked trash because we wanted to make sure we beat you at your best or make you play your worst, either way, we were going to find out)by saying to the media, "we're just going to treat this as another game", if somebody said that about any team i was on, i'd take that as disrespect too myself, cause basically they saying they don't have to elevate they game to play us like we're just a regular team, i want to dominate a team just for saying that and than after game, after we dominate em, i'll ask them, are we just a regular team now, next time step it up.

I remember that Miami/Fsu game where they were trying to hype Fsu up and if i'm not mistaken, they came to SEAN TAYLOR and asked him something about Fsu and how are they going to stop them and this & that SEAN TAYLOR said without a doubt and matter of factly something like this "Naw, we to good for that" and than HE went out there and had about 7 picks!

Calvina twists any and all words about the Canes back to his simplistic thesis that they aren't very good, not getting better, Golden can't get them there and his favorite, most of them weight too much.

Can we not do this today?? Seriously! It's UM @ FSU, nuf said!!

Go 'canes!!

Tubby getting confused with her Calvina persona this am. Spelling too good and word choice too articulate to be the ole Calvina. Focus on ID your using.

Sounds like both styles can acheive the same outcome.

Trash talk through the media is just stupid. Why advertise how ignorant you are.

Well you do what works for you, you sound like the losers that whined after they got beat by Miami complaining about them trash talking all the time, before, during and after the game. Maybe you don't talk because you don't have Supreme confidence in your own abilities, i can understand that, cause everybody don't have that.

I'm pissed gionni paul & eddie "bath salts" johnson are not on this team.

Calvin, Zakkee, it's all about under-promising.

Unfortunately, over-delivering isn't a UM win over FSU historically, so there's no need to talk weak, unless you don't think you're a good enough coach to deliver the win with your game plan, then you hear about, "The U is still building."

Jimmy Carr doesn't think UM can win this game, and that's OK for Al to continue to lose it because that's what they both agree on. Another reason why he's a mealy mouth name changing broke pandering loser, amongst other reasons. Keep guessing little Jimmy, you might get it right sometime this week as to who's got your number.

You sound like you're stuck in 1987, Calvin. Trash talk doesn't mean you're confident.

Like seeing a Golden Girls episode reading this garbage. You girls need to kiss and make up, eh what say. Calvin this, Gallo that, we smarter cuz we played before, Duh. Stuck in peewee football, should be the girls soccer team.

this is my first time making a comment here so take it easy please!!:)
1st off trash talking is for losers!!!!!
want evidence ... how about Calvin Johnson, Barry sanders, Walter Payton, just a few of the "BEST" nfl players ever and they never said a word!! so yea trash talking is ok, butttttt "your actions speak louder then your words"!!!!!!
thank you/.

(Real) D, for the record, I've got UM plus 21.5 today, for two c-notes, you know, if I lived in a state where gambling was legal, of course.

Calvin, you're right when you touch on the fact that Golden and his buddy have done a better job defensively with calls against FSU than any other team despite being 0-2 on the final scoreboard.

This game is Stephen Morris' chance to carve out his own place in the record book at the school, because so far, his legacy is a comeback against a 7-7 team on the road and a last second TD to avoid a loss to a 7-5 team that fired their coach. Hope he's dialed in.

Calvin =dumb banana eating fool..stuck in 1990..dawg

I'm afeared of the FSU offensive line, not only opening running lanes but also preventing any kind of an effective pass rush especially with Dumb'O still using a three man rush against a pin point passer like winston. I think it will be a walk in the park game for him. Gonna get ugly like the FSU/Clemson game. Fortunately, I can turn off the TV if the score is 28-0 at halftime.

One way the Canes can stay close, and even win, is if Morris and the offense has a good day, and they let the play clock wind down to 5 seconds on every play, and move the ball down the field with a ton of first downs and scores cause you know FSU's offense is going to score every time they get the ball.

Maybe the Cane OC can advise d'o what to expect or where to attack the FSU offense since the OC worked for Jimbo and dumbo does not have a clue about defense and d'o is the MVP for the other teams.

Cane bubba '72 is dialed in and wanting Dorothy, eh what say. duh Nat Title, keep it real man

Cane72, FSU would have won by 20 on the road last year if UM hadn't tacked on the garbage TD with less than a minute to make it semi-respectable as a final score, but this UM defense isn't historically bad like that one was, it may be slightly inflated statistical ranking-wise due to middling competition, but it's not outright terrible and the situational play-calling isn't too shabby when they field four down linemen.

The 3-4 front has been exposed a lot yet again this year though and Al loves him some 3-4 front, so we'll see what gets thrown out there. You can't win a game in the first five minutes, but you can lose it in that time frame, hangs heavy for UM today.

You sound like you're stuck in 1987, Calvin. Trash talk doesn't mean you're confident.

You sound like the media and loser schools back than who had a problem with it and eventually got to the referee associations to try and curve that advantage away from Miami & Florida schools but they let there schools do it.

Why, i got a clue for you about what trash talking is, you ever heard of "verbal abuse" we did that before, during and after games, words affect the weak minded and the strong minded, it's how you react to them that makes the difference.

Listen to this fool...you really are stuck in 1990... Do u ever leave for roommates basement. Trash talk era is over idiot.

Congratulations on your 1st post, nice naming 2 out of the 3 guys never won a championship. If barry sanders would've opened his mouF on occassion it would've elevated the team play, especially in that game against green bay where he rushed for something like -/minus 1 yard.

irvin, sapp, ray lewis,, deion sanders, derrick brooks

all won championships, so your point is again.
