Be quiet now monkey, ur embarrassing yourself! !

This game is Stephen Morris' chance to carve out his own place in the record book at the school, because so far, his legacy is a comeback against a 7-7 team on the road and a last second TD to avoid a loss to a 7-5 team that fired their coach. Hope he's dialed in.

Does kirby freeman have any eligibility left, we need him in the bullpen!

So if Sanders would of trash talked, that would of made Detroit better...Lmao..

Whoever keeps trying to make the point about being stuck in an era, are you trying to fight against a time of when it was nothing but a bunch of winning. it's clear why you johnny come lately's keep defending and praising under performances!

What i wonder today is this:

Does UM come out with a new game plan on O and D?

Can UM start fast, instead of take a full half to play their best?

Can UM secondary tackle well today?

Can O-line open holes in the first half?

And most important......

Can Steven Morris play the best game of his career today?

If the Canes had not trashed talked and invested more time in getting ready for certain opponents we would be talking about 9 National Championships, not the current 5...Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio State and Penn State.

Trash talk for most is a feeble attempt to hide fear.

Speak softly and carry a big arse stick!!!

Right ...dudes a fool. It's about respect these days!!!

Trash talk makes u better!!!!! Lmao

"Deserve Trash Talk"

Alabama deserves to trash talk. Yet they don't. That's a highly disciplined team and that's why they are on track for 3 straight NC's

The 80-90's Canes earned the right to talk trash.

Trash talking is something you earn. Not something you do to make yourself think you're better. It only motivates the other team to punch you in the mouth.

If trash talking makes you better, where's all the trash talking from Bama, FSU, Oregon, Baylor?

Doesn't seem to make any difference.

The trash talking is done with your pads, not your mouth...

Several teams did lots of "trash talking" with the Miami Heat last year's playoffs.

Indiana and Chicago did it.

How well did that work out for them?

And the multiple Rings San Antonio Spurs. Not a peep of trash talking and they won theirs.

The Miami Heat? No trash talking. 2 consecutive rings.

New England Patriots during their runs? No trash talk.

Save the energy running your mouth to put into the energy playing the game.

Trash talk is for wannabe little boys.

Men put their hard hats on and lay the wood on your skull.

!!!!!!!!

Yeah, even Ali deserved to talk trash, and what not, back in the day. hUh Get outta' here with that lame chit, Outsider! Especially when Ali " backed " up his talk and defeated the PEOPLES CHOICE ( Liston ) back in the day.

FWIW... in the previous 10 meetings between Miami, Florida and MIGHTY F.S.U., the winning margin has NEVER been greater than " FOURTEEN POINTS! "

Again, the Vegas line-maker's INTENTIONALLY inflated the - 21 point spread, because the Seminoles are a PUBLIC wagering favorite, i.e., F.S.U. is 7-0 against the point spread.

So, Goldie's squad may lose tonight, but the Hurricanes won't get MASSACRED akin to Clemson. Just U wait and see!!

That was in the 60s.

Ask Rollie Massimino and his Villanova Wildcat team if they thought they had a chance against INVINCIBLE Georgetown in the '85 N.C. game. hUh

By the way, Villanova was a NO.8 seed and a game time... - 9 1/2 point nuetral court underdog.

Coach Massimino's squad had the GREATES UPSET in men's N.C.A.A. Tournament history. Because no NO.8 seed has and had ever defeated a NO. 1 seed.

Upset's happen bubba's. That's why they are called upsets!! dUh

And ask Broadway Joey if his Jet teammates thought they had a shot to defeat MIGHTY Baltimore back in the day.

FWIW... the Colt's were a - 14 1/2 point favorite.

Just listened to the GREAT Lean Searcy on wqam.

Didn't hear him say anything about trash talking as part of what it takes to win.

He believes our O-line has the size, condition and experience to dominate the FSU defensive front. Core of our O game plan is run Duke and Dallas.

He recommends playing zone defense! (sorry Calvin, Searcy actually played championship football and NFL and disagrees with you about playing Man 100%)

Keep WInston to short passes. Make him take 8-10 plays to go down the field. Make him impatient.

All the talk ends in 5 hours.

Game on....

Especially when Ali " backed " up his talk and defeated the PEOPLES CHOICE ( Liston ) back in the day.

It has been well documented that Ali was sheeting in his pants having to fight the big, bad Sonny Liston, thus the constant chatter and trash talk. Ali was trying to convince himself that he could beat Liston, not convince Liston of anything.

U know who is unsung so far, standing out on film to me, one of the best players on our defense and who we should keep an eye on for big plays today?

These guys are like women that take everything you say out of context. So we have to break it down for them this way, what's the purpose of a pre-game speech, a pre-game speech is to get the team hyped and motivated by what, WORDS! So those who keep saying "trash talk doesn't make you better", lol, don't understand what they're talking about or understand what WORDS. If barry sanders in certain games had talked trash or danced his way to the endzone at least once or twice, that would've elevated the whole DETROIT lions squad, because they would've all had gotten hyped just like a pre-game speech is intended to do.

Had barry sanders ever trash talked before a game about an opponent, the whole team would've first been surprised, but they also would've said if barry said it, the rest of us gone back him up. trash talk during the game also makes your opponents weaker and takes them off of their game. So these guys that keep acting like trash talk is a non-issue, are comical, Muhammad Ali did and who cares if it's on record that Ali was scared of sonny liston, while the fight was going on, sonny liston couldn't tell none of that and Ali backed it up, so again, bad example.

That video clip illustrates what everyone knows. The Noles will annihilate the canes. lol even in Taiwan they know this! Only the delusional fools in thr Gables think otherwise. A Taiwanse holding a sUcks to be U sign, priceless. The whole world knows, time to open your eyes and step into reality fools.

CaneKiller,

21-16...scoreboard you hillbilly loser!!

If the Canes are annihilated by FSU then your poor ole 50th ranked Gators will be gang raped!!

21-16 baby...laughing at you!!

One of the self pride players i was talking about, he's been holding the defensive secondary down back their and is doing the #26 justice for sure by being productive out there. Also i like how i saw him go and get at ladarius gunther for giving up that un-necessary touchdown against UNC. I don't see the Fsu receivers being able to just dog us today except when it comes to crossing routes and if we dont' get stupid and start having defensive ends covering backs in the flats and what not.

Our guys did a real good job on benjamin last year in the redzone although i wasn't to sure about those offensive pass interference calls myself against gunther but all somebody needs to do is while benjamin is going up for the ball, the 2nd player needs to not try and out jump him but blast him, that'll make em gun shy for sure. We need to make o'leary a none factor just like we did last year, and force winston to have to make long drives, although most of the solid qb's have done it already, so i know coach goldie and his minions are banking on redzone defense.

We definitely have fans now who sound exactly like the media talking heads they claim to despise such as: Mark May, Lou Holtz, Jesse Palmer, and Rece Davis (whom I abhor).

Both groups openly acknowledge and celebrate our past of dominance. But both groups have animosity towards the way we did it. Both groups are staunch supporters of Al Golden, but kinda like UM football no matter the coach.

Ali did a great job convincing himself lol. Trash-talk isn't everything, but it definitely has *proven* utility, every Hurricane fan should be able to attest to this.

I meant: "..but kinda like UM football depending on who is the coach."

Winston's impact on FSU's team, which is almost the same offensively from last season, can be largely contributed to the way he moves socially or his swagger. He addresses them before games and he talks crazy trash while convincing them that there's nothing to worry about because they can all be as dialed in as he is if they believe and trust their ability.

The difference between this year's FSU and last season's version is unquestionably Winston's play and verbal leadership. Everyone is blocking and playing harder because he has proved to them that every play can be a TD for any of them. They aren't "hoping", they "know" and have certainty that they will score every possession if they want. They've been convinced that the "sky is the limit" with him under center and we have to cut his head off tonight!

In other words, what magic johnson was to the fast break, winston is to their passing game, just fill the lanes. The question, how many lanes will this scheme give him tonight.

I'll say this, this might be the night of the batted/volley ball technique coming thru for us that might actually work. jameis seems to have a low projectory on his passes, but we'll find out early. One thing for sure that'll be obvious tonight though, they'll know they're not playing clemson.

It would be good to start the game off with a called blitz just in case, or just load the line of scrimmage up so they don't know who's coming and from where, if this is the type of 3-4 we plan on running than let's run it than.

The thing i think is getting ready to happen though is, since smo17 can't read defenses and audible, this is why we've gone to the stupid get under center, back away from center and look to the sidelines technique for calls.

If our o-linemen are line-tapping tonight and it helps Fsu get an advantage in pass rushing, that'll tell us how sharp coach goldie is, now one things for sure, if we use the line-tapping to our advantage and throw teams off, ok, i'm off for it, but line-tapping means we're passing the ball.

I could be wrong, but that stretch running play against speed may not be a good idea tonight. The one thing about not having dorsett, you gotta respect his speed but he also can pass the ball downfield which would be a good play to run to night and catch Fsu off guard. Anyway, to all of those who have been saying the 500 club has been holding back and what not, tonight you'll get all your answers.

Canes have won with trash talking, and have won without it. Classic Canes versus Texas in the Cotton Bowl, they did ZERO pre game trash talking, while Texas flapped their gums, until the game started. 1984 Orange Bowl, Nebraska did all the talking, but when the game was over, Miami got to get the last word. But the 1987 and 2001 canes talked TRUTH, saying they were the best team in the nation, which was not trash talking.

If you win, it is a fact. If you lose, it is talking trash.

Putney, I know it sucks that he jokes about the death of Canes players, but what FSU does to Florida does not matter, the State championship is decided tonight.

My Canes don't deserve trash talk until they win an NC again.

Anything trash talking before climbing to the mountain top is foolish and will make them look foolish.

Game day and the fools are here think trash talking is whats important....wow. Dumb.

Lets get back to actual football:

3 hours to go.

This game hinges in morris, o-line and receivers.

All other parts of the team will compete well. The offense is whats unproven.

I think I'd enjoy choking out Reece Davis...that punk. Front running punks, all of them.

If you win, it is a fact. If you lose, it is talking trash.

Damn thats a good point, I like that.

I'm not concerned about individual players; FSU's creativity on offense worries me. The have multiple formations and lots of weapons. That TE can do some serious damage if we come out soft in coverage.

Ya'll are dufus'. I am glad I live fir away from people? like you. Dufus fans from a dufus place. We here in the mtns. know our football. Look at the stadiums further norf. 100.000 plus. Futbal in flariduh is irrelevant to the national scene. Ohio State, Michhigan, Big ten will OWN college football in the next few years. Miami will never, be nationally relevant again.FSU 95 UM 13 Alabama, 48 Fsu 21 Oregon 56 Ala 28 OSU 49 Oregon 21 OSU should be nat champs, you are chumps again

by 8;30, game over

Another smug media prick who I'd love to still on is Dari Nowkhah of ESPN, he tries to act tough and control debates, but he's weak. He hates UM too.

So, you are from the mountains of Ohio, huh? Weak effort.

Northernlights:

Dufus is talking about a do-nothing Big Ten.

All your teams would be Div II if you didn't have Florida players.

Your jealousy is obvious.

Very true, that regions best players are unanimously Floridian.

Now the Gallo/Calvin/Tubby group are psychiatrists as well as college football heads coaches. They know that FSU's great season has been caused buy some speeches the qb has made. Wouldn't have happened otherwise, I guess.

^^^And U have the nerve to call someone else a "hater" mountaincane/GKC???

U hate that U love our posts--that why U can't help but comment on them. If U disagree then express how. The shoe must fit U, because U aren't on anyone's radar when they post and no names have been mentioned. U are a jealous like a broad.

Its more than clear and obvious that Winston is the difference in FSU's play this season. Speeches weren't the only contributions mentioned either. His performance was mentioned as well.

You'll do anything to disagree. Now thats the true definition of hating.

"The difference between this year's FSU and last season's version is unquestionably Winston's play and verbal leadership."

Posted by: HarrietTubmanCane | November 02, 2013 at 04:08 PM

You'll delete or twist anything to hate.

The difference between UM and FSU, 6 scholarships, 3 postseason bowls, a real head coach, and top talent that has been developed into top 10 players. UM has very little talent, a lousy QB, so-so offensive line, good RB, lousy coach who belongs at Temple, and very little hope for the future. Your recruiting class is over hyped, and won't matter, NOLES will keep on ruling this matchup for many years. This game will be closer than Clemson, but we will cover the spread 7-1 baby
