Harriet, we basically have been on probation. If your a recruit over the past 3 years, espcailly Goldies's 1st 2 years, and other top schools are recruiting you, WHY WOULD U GO TO MIAMI? NO WAY. No TV, No Bowls ,etc, no championships. All the schools told Miami recruits that.

THAT IS CALLED SILENT PROBATIOn. Every day on espn and yahoo was ""Miami getting the death penalty" To recruit with that hanging over your head is tuff

Benjamin Franklin was a known spy for England during the colonization of America.

Makes sense that a turncoat and spy quotes another of his kind.

I will address my comments to anyone that loves our country and those who have fought for our country's freedom who were willing to pay the ultimate price.

This HarrietTubmanCane coward who hates everything is now attacking one of our country's greatest Americans, because that's what those who hate our country do...they hate and try to tear down anything that stands for good.

He has made a point to tell us on numerous occasions that he's a Muslim only leaving out the obvious...a radical Muslim.

Hater's hate and that what this coward does!!

To the rest of the haters...it is this scumbag who is one of your leaders...I hope you are proud!!

Point is Duke is fighting......A&M is fighting back, our guys under Goldilocks gave up at halftime.....they quit on Goldilocks, but you guys are so damn brokeback you just can't quit Goldilocks.

FYI, Duke has not signed a single 4 star kid since 2009. Even with the 'probation cloud' Canes were getting 4 star kids.

I've never heard of the term, "silent probation", so no need for all caps when U just made that up.

Thats called negative recruiting, it happens every year and will this cycle as well.

The coaching staff continues to be the sanction, all self-inflicted. Nothing more harmful to the program than this offense and defense schematically.

PSU needs a coach...PLEASE PLEASE COME GET HIM!!!!

You do realize that Ben Franklin, like all of the other founding fathers owned slaves. They were such great men that they treated other human beings as property. Yep you're the type of person that believes everything they are spoon fed in school, or a press conference and can't think for themselves. No wonder you've resorted to making up lies about playing once you get exposed.......and the jokes continues! Lmao

Recruiting Matters. FSU's 2011 top 3 class along with last years class and a good class in 2010 have gotten them here. But Dumbo lost 10 games in his 1st 3 years with NO SANCTIONS.. Now, his recruiting has paid off.

Benjamin Franklin was a turncoat, your ignorance of this fact is not anyone's fault but your own. Try to spin religion into it all u want as deflection, because U cannot handle me in an debate without insults and pleas for assistance based off of the misdirected stirring of emotions LOL! What a coward trying to hide behind our troops talk on a blog (irrelevant), but wouldn't bust a grape!

Posted by: Dom | December 31, 2013 at 10:25 PM

Now guess what the negative recruiting sounds like, Oh man look at their defense. They have allowed over 500 yards in the last how many games? Watch their corner backs at the snap they look like Olympic sprinters at the snap. Watch their d-tackles stand straight up and slow drag with the o-line at the snap, how about their safeties they look like they're punt returners every snap.

Tell me wtf does the NCAA have to do with that?

I never mentioned the Duke coaching staff once because I never knew prior to our game with them that they had a great coaching staff.

The question is: if U knew they had a great coaching staff and U believe that they have superior talent personnel-wise, then why did U expect UM to win the game, why were U surprised?

Of course you didn't know about David Cutliffe, which further highlights your utter lack of knowledge about college football that in-turn helps others better understand your completely ignorant Al Golden comments.

I was fully aware of Cutliffe and knew that the Duke game was going to be a war as Cutliffe is one of the most respected coaches in the college game and after 6 years was making headway in turning the Blue Devils program around. Yet, you post your diarrhea filled posts about your vast knowledge of the college game, which those of us that do know football simply laugh at.

Now get back to lying about those who made America great as after all...haters, hate!!

Yeah dudes that massacred the Native Americans, owned slaves, raped women and had biracial babies that they disowned, and reported back to the King about the movements of the true patriots were great Americans. Totally indoctrinated with nonsense beyond belief.

Dude, I don't follow coaches and other schools (especially not Duke lol!) like U. Gators--Ron Zook, Canes--Al Golden, Duke--David Cutliffe--U are an obsessed man worshipper and flunky of coaches. I follow the Canes and thats not anything to be ashamed of.

U address all of that, but didn't answer my question (as usual)? Is Cutliffe a better coach than Golden, especially schematically?

He also believes the Civil War was about states rights

Urkel,

Are you going to wash my car or not?? Oh wait!! In your world that would make me a slave owner. Laughing at you and your other screen name is a full time job...

Zook U aren't laughing--U are crying somewhere in the dark.

All this "my car" and "my office" and "my playing days" talk--rings of a wanna-be elitist. Nothing to aspire to be and especially lie about being.

Go read a book for once, and then come back and post.

So elite that U sit on a blog 24/7, even holidays like Christmas to lie and insult people. What a loser lol!

And about to spend your New Years doing the same.

You don't follow coaches at other schools?? I see...hmmmm.

You are so full of crap the, 'You Scream--We Clean' septic tank company would need 20 trucks to haul away all your sheet.

The bottom line is that you know absolutely nothing about football and troll on this site and others looking for people to get into internet beefs with.

Take a bath, get a job and move out of mommy and daddy's house!!

Lmao, here you go with your multiple screen names diatribe, you just got exposed as a spoon fed simpleton who knows nothing beyond what anybody tells you and that's the best you got?!

I'm gonna pass your mom around tonight and give her a full time job! Then I'm going to put her to work outside the site of the bowl! Lmao.

P.s. - Only a knuckle dragging, mouth breather like yourself would make light of slavery. You continue to expose yourself, and the joke continues......

Its "hmmmmm" not to "follow coaches at other schools??

Whats so "hmmmm" about that? And are U avoiding yet another one of my questions?

I'm such a moron and idiot, but continue to somehow stomp U with questions that your superior/elite intelligence can't answer.

What other sites do I troll and start internet beefs on? Please provide proof of me doing so. I know its difficult to accept but U just can't say anything to people and pray that it sticks.

Duke is hanging in! Happy New Year to all!

Zook the former Gator coach, why do u spend so much time on a blog with people who U believe are beneath U and eligible to wash your car?

An intelligent, elite and former Cane like yourself would definitely have a family or soiree to attend this evening...right?

Wait a second...just a short time ago on this thread you said: "Dude, I don't follow coaches and other schools." Yet, you seem to know everything about Ron Zook.

You can't even keep your lies straight for a few short minutes...this is the burden pathological liars such as yourself must deal with.

Take a bath, get a job and move out of mommy and daddy's house!!

"Everything" like one thing--that he used to be the Gators coach?

You've been manhandled again. U should just keep crossing the street when I post.

U can't f with me on no level. Happy New Year, U know the resolution.

What an effort by Dukw. It was nice to watch a team that actually showed up to play.

Tub o Sht going for the community college trifecta, working in the mandatory world view of racism, classism and religion. Lay some more MUslim stuff on us, in particular. That's been light lately.

Cane72, just for grins google 3-4 defense. Learn a tiny bit about who plays, who wins with it and most important, why it is played increasingly in modern football. What jj did 25 years ago was great----------against a 1980s offense.

Lol, all the hater group now on the Duke bandwagon after arguing how much the entire acc sucked.

The ACC was weak this year. Along with Texas A&M's defense. So far only North Carolina has won a bowl game. That is the example of textbook quality of a weak conference.

Al Golden was out coached by lesser talented Duke and Virginia Polytechnic. Then was out coached by Charlie Strong with a lesser talented team. In a bowl game with three plus weeks to prepare.

Instead of exploiting his greater talent over all in his division. He was exposed by more talented coaches, repeatedly, with less talented teams.

Happy New Year fans of the University of Miami football program, and Miami football!

Did you notice when Texass A&M was down at halftime, they abandoned Miami's 3 down linemen, zone NO defense and went 4 down def. linemen and man to man?

And the second half comeback? It took the A&M coach 30 minutes to learn Miami's coaches are crap and can not be taught anything in three years of constantly running their bend and break, prevent the win, NO defense. A&M smothered the Duke receivers and blitzed the QB for two interceptions in the second half.

Duke stuck with the moron Miami balmy breeze, 3 down linemen, LBs five yards off the los, zone NO defense and manziel took Duke apart. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Yeah, sure. goldie and d'o are great coaches. And pigs are flying and the cow jumped over the moon.

Who will replace Bill O'Brien at Penn State?
By Tom Fornelli | College Football Writer

Happy New Year, Penn State, you're going to need a new coach. But who? That's the question Penn State fans will be asking themselves, and while it's hard to know exactly who O'Brien's replacement will be, there are some obvious candidates.

Al Golden, Miami: While Al Golden was at Temple from 2006 to 2010 there were a lot of people who felt he was essentially Penn State's coach-in-waiting. It made a lot of sense. Joe Paterno wasn't getting any younger, and it seemed as though he'd be retiring shortly. Meanwhile Golden was building a Temple program and he did play under Paterno as a tight end at Penn State from 1987 to 1991.

Things didn't work out that way as Golden would leave Temple to take over at Miami in the 2011 season and guide that program through some NCAA sanctions of its own. Would Golden give up what is a nice job at Miami to return to another program dealing with the NCAA? Well, it's his alma mater, so you'd have to think Penn State is going to make that phone call. Especially when you consider that since O'Brien just left at two years, you have to think Golden would consider Penn State to be a destination job, not just a stepping stone. But, again, Miami could be considered a destination job too.

This writer thinks Al Golden will get the call. Prove him right Pedo U. Go and get your man, please!

Cane fan, Would you have fired O'Leary after 2008? Would you use his Georgia Tech average coaching against him as well (cause they're BCS bound if you didn't know)?

2004 UCF 0–11
2005 UCF 8–5
2006 UCF 4–8
2007 UCF 10–4
2008 UCF 4–8

I wonder where Temple would be right now if Golden was with them in his 10th season with Temple players finally hitting those NFL roasters (6 current):

2006 Temple 1–11
2007 Temple 4–8
2008 Temple 5–7
2009 Temple 9–4
2010 Temple 8–4

"..., be patient in tribulation, ..." Romans 12:12

Amen ChampCane.

And pluleeeezzzeee, shalalalaalalalala, give Butch or Ericson or Jimmy or even Howard a call. I will spring for any long distance charges.

Is there any coach in the country that runs a four down defensive linemen, LBs within 3 yards of the los, man to man pass coverage, blitzes through an opening in the off line????? Call him too!!!!!

Duke is still Duke, you just can't deny that they showed up and played with heart. Meanwhile our offensive line got us 18 yards rushing.

Texas interviewed charlie strong.

Being that you are not in the film room and the fact that you are not out a practice, I am going to go out on a limb here and say you ave no clue as to why they line up that way.

You think any coach in their right mind has a scheme designed to line players 5 yards off ball on purpose? Clueless is a clueless does I guess.

Dalvin Cook said it was a "business decision" to switch from UF to FSU. It's on a video linked to a twitter feed from Bleacher Report.

Yeah, sure. goldie and d'o are great coaches. And pigs are flying and the cow jumped over the moon.

72 we had 4 guys on the line MOST of the time, and it did little good. Point is we DON'T have a D line, and unless we have 6 or more guys rushing we rarely got to the qb. So not sure anything would've worked. I'm not taking up Dno, as I too feel his days are over, but in all fairness we just don't have stellar DL's.

360Cane

Temple played vastly inferior teams than Miami, during the times posted. As well as currently. The talent at Miami is greater than the talent Temple played against. While Al Golden's Temple was similar and better than the talent he coached against.

Central Florida was without a winning tradition. A directional university, Central Florida, is not in the same class as a traditional football power. While Miami, because it won all it's championships when all colors of players could play, is the greatest football champion of all time.

Your comparisons are irrelevant. Extremely disproportionate to the circumstances that are the University of Miami football.

I'm not taking up Dno, as I too feel his days are over, but in all fairness we just don't have stellar DL's.

Part of having a contract, without merit, for $2.148 million dollars. That is agreed to pay that until 1 February 2020. You can keep any coach you want, without absolutely any negative repercussion.

That goes without saying, but if attendance goes down, and the alumni and also contributors start to raise hell then I would think AG would get the message. He should ALREADY know that something needs to be done for sure.

That Game last night was cfb at its finest. Kudos to Duke and Cutcliffe. I really started to pay attention to what Duke was becoming after our game against them last year. Can't say enough good things about Him. I am a Duke fan when we are not playing them, yes a Duke bandwagon fan. Guilty.

Wouldn't mind having him. I will concede he pulled a Temple at Duke. I will concede that he took 6-7 years to do it. I will make the distinction that his recruiting for the last three years was basically on par with ours, when you consider he was building a program from the ground up, whereas we were fighting the NCAA and the negative recruiting to rebuild a once dominant program.

The real distinction lies in the fact that Cutcliffe got the most out of his less heralded recruits.

AG had RS's leftovers, fine. Ag has steadily "improved' our record. I do remember that last year, we lost 3 of those 5 games by less than a touchdown. We were really close to a 9-3 or 10-2 season last year, even with our shite defense.

However, our schedule this year was the easiest in a decade. Fact. Fact.
Someone here pull the numbers and disprove that or mitigate it.

After the expected letdown against UL, I flipped my thoughts on AG. I still feel that way. The way we lost the games we did this year shows me regression from the way we lost last year's.

I would have been okay with another 7-5 or 8-4 season and a close bowl loss if we had been as close as we were last year. For me, like a lot of us "haters' on here, the regression of the team dynamic and coaching prowess matters much more than the improved record against the easy schedule.

Now it's a matter of seeing who, if anyone he replaces to address the Defensive woes, regardless of the lack of talent we had this year, especially on the line.
Like TAMU, you just can't win at the top level without a solid D, no matter how great your offense is - mind you I would never compare our offense with JFB's - lolol.

We definitely felt the loss of J Fisch. Dunno if Coley is going to pan out, but he gets at least another year to improve.

I am excited about the recruits we are bringing in, and again concede that AG has done a great job of recruiting. But, remember how the 2008 class turned out.

Too bad about Cook, though it was delicious to see him bail on UF. Hope it cascades on them.

Anyone know if wither Strong or Sumlin are likely to go to UTexas? Would make sense for Sumlin to pull an Urban bail on TAMU, while the gettin's good.

Kudos to Strong...I have a fierce loathing of him for coopting our swag, recruits and spanking us, but I respect the shite outta him.

The Golden age continues...sigh. MAtbe he'll shock us all...in three years and be more than decent with his own players and no more excuses...tht a long time to hold our breath.

Where's D with odds on PSU still wanting him?

Apologies. I really should proofread my novelas before posting.

He would've fired Dino already and given the guy a chance at another job. This will have to come from Golden, Blake James isn't experienced enough to do it.

I think attendance will be bad next year because the team will take a step back before it moves forward. A new QB, revamped O-Line, and freshman starters on defense.

I hope not Junkie, if I lived in Miami, I'd go to every home game. The only time I see them is when they play FSU in Tally and we drive up from P-Cola.

Hoping against hope here, but maybe, just MAYBE Dno will see that 'duhhhh maybe I should duhhhh try a different approach to my D duhhh, cuz my way aint getting it done, duhhhhh' LOL.

dnofrio is here next year.....golden will not part with him....plan on "suprise" decommits (demetrius jackson/tranvonte valentine"....like last year....

more behind the scenes "TMZ" and I say loss of tracy howard and ereck flowers....QB situation will be desperate....

all gloom and doom for 2014....the bad relationship "veil" between al golden and players will be pulled back more...

flashing "U" sign from opposition will be common practice...and for those of youthat are saying call randy shannon to come back....FORGET IT, HE WILL NEVER COME BACK SINCE HE HATES DONNA SHALALA...

BTW...happy new year, lol

Junkie,

I think this next is DNO's last chance to show a modified approach to gets some real results.

I agree the turnover on both sides of the ball does bode for a rough year, regardless of new recruit contribution.

I am not foreclosed on AG proving himself, I just don't think it's gonna happen and we all hate waiting to be validated or disproved.

plus al golden is NEVER leaving UM....his wife loves it in coral gables has a lock on UM via his contract negotiation.....

forget penn state.....all the talent is here and recruiting in the northeast is impossible...he has donna shalala on his side no mater what any fan thinks...only UM financial pressures will cave in the golden era.....

no matter how bad things get....UM and the city of coral gables will NEVER drop football at UM.....no matter what any sports writer or commentator thinks....the program was and never will be on "life support"

The acc just plain SUCKS !

the CANES just didn't convert on 3rd. down ...
