Russell Athletic Bowl live blog: UM vs. Louisville

ORLANDO -- The Hurricanes (9-3) hope to complete their first 10-win season in a decade with a win over 18th-ranked Louisville (11-1) at 6:45 p.m. tonight at The Citrus Bowl.

It won't be easy. Cardinals quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, a former standout at Miami Northwestern and once a UM commitment when Randy Shannon was coach, leads a potent Louisville passing attack.

Las Vegas lists the Cardinals as a 3 1/2 point favorite. With good reason, too. Despite facing a pretty weak schedule, Louisville is sound defensively.

We'll be here to provide live updates as usual on Twitter and in our live blog.

I thought U had so much talent and were picked to win the lowly acc coastal. How are U not better than a Louisville team in ANY phase of the game in year three of Golden? What will year 4 look like when U lose so many key players? Guess U'll look young and inexperienced all over again.

I'll tell U why ... Because U are a bunch of delusional, homer and in complete denial Looosers. Unranked, never a Conference 'Ship game, Bowl Looosers, no 10 win seasons, and we'll be back next year green n orange kool-aide drinks delusional dolts. And Navarro, Porter and the rest of the College Football knowing world are just Haters riiiet ?

IF AL GOLDEN IS THE GREATEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL CORCH IN ALL OF AMERICA ... WHAT WOULD THAT MAKE CHARLIE STRONG ?

Louisville 44 - dUh U 26

Hate to say it, but Bridgewater will be the difference in the game. UM's defense needs to be somewhat respectable so it won't be used against them in recruiting over the next month or so.

Au Contraire... because the Cardinal are currently a... - 5 1/2: - 6 point spread chalk.

Nevertheless, all I want to witness is a competitive game from M-Y Hurricanes. Nothing more, nothing less.

In other words, Coach Strong and QB Teddy are the Louisville TRUMP CARDS. If U Know What I Mean. eH

LOL...be here at the end of the game and dont vanish like yall did after the ufelony game...

raining here in Orlando and will be all night off n on.

ACC is tougher than AAC so we will see what they really have. U cant judge them by the game where they beatdown the gators cause the gators suck!

well, UNC is handling Cinci, who gave UL a fit in last game....there's hope.

Yes, there's always hope. So keep hope alive y'all Cane bUbba's.

C-A-N-E-S, GO CANES!!!!!!

D,

Looking for a competitive game as well. UM must play some semblance of defense with the front 7. If it is sit back, no pass rush, poor coverage, we all know we are toast.

Lots of gan=mes this year looked like shootouts, so the Canes must have a strong offensive showing. Tired of the how big our O Line is game story. Let's see dominance with all that size, and a run game that, combined with an intermediate passing game, keeps Teddy off the field.

I would like this to be the game that surprises us because the U plays better than expected.

So Go Canes! Make this your best effort of the year!!!

This will be golden's last game. He will leave for psu after o'brien leaves. At least coach d will be leaving to, its time to get some real coaches in here. The sanctions are gone open up the wallet and pay someone. Miami will make the money back by getting more wins and bcs bowls.

obrien leaving?

cuts so deep, delusional. so edgy of you.

# 26 Jenkins be TRIPPIN'. seriously LOL

If we don't apply "constant" pressure on Bridgewater it will be a long, long night.

If we do ?

29-26 either Team by a made or missed FG.

or

35-20 the wrong way.

Mighty A.C.C. is 3-1, so far, in bowl game action.

Will the Hurricanes make it... 4-1.

So Go Canes! Make this your best effort of the year!!!

@@@@@@@@@@@

I absolutely expect to see the Hurricanes come through with their best effort since the Gator game.

The question is, will Miami, Florida come home with a victory.

Bon soir until tomorrow.

oh yeah, Delusional - might wanna check out that espn worst play of the year honor...goes to....

espn talking about obrien going to texans and AG going to penn st. - please! please!

Al Golden to Penn State! Miami's new year resolution has come true!

So who's the next Cane Coach ?

Golden IS the first name thrown out for PSU job. Take the 500 club gameplan with you. Thanks for hanging in, but this is not Penn State south.

I don't think Golden will leave for Penn St., Miami is his best shot at a national championship.

If he leaves, we better be ready to move on a new coach. This recruiting class means too much.

Would be an absolute shame if Golden leaves. The revolving door of UM head coaches needs to end!

Lou Holtz saying recruiting base at PSU is better...senile old man, shut the hell up.

What a great post-Christmas present. So if Penn State does not hire Al Golden, how great of a coach is he, sycophants?

I don't want to see Rodgers or Highsmith on the field for a single snap. Play the young studs.

Would be glad to see him go. who to replace? dunno.

You're hanging your hat on Penn St's ability to identify and hire people. You realize the hired a pedophile, right?

Bush for one moron.

Gus Edwards needs to learn to run like a big back.

After 4 years, Clements can't identify a blitz. Nice.

Spot on Canesjunkie.

If Golden isn't offered the job, maybe D"NO will be the coach.

This offense better get going or it will be over by half-time. The 500 club has showed up.

Keep bringing pressure.....TB made a good play escaping the pressure but keep it up, UL's offensive line can't hold blocks

Gus Edwards is no Cleveland Gary.

D'Onofrio's choice of zone defense reflects lack of pass rush and lack of confidence in secondary.

Can our offensive line please block someone!

Big dropoff in running game minus Duke.

Miami helmets without green and orange lines down middle suck.

UL's defense looks a lot better than I thought they would

wow. we look awful. punter dalton is our mvp so far.

Our offense is dead in the water without the run. This offensive line needs to get it going.

This game is in jeopardy already. Our pathetic offense is worse tonight than our pathetic defense. The defense is sold out to stop the run, but those screens and short passes will kill us again

no Duke no offense. teams had to prepare to stop him and that opened up the pass. now its like nothing no offense.

Al Golden is one of the worst coaches in college football

Really? Who should coach the team cfl?
