« Al Golden after the Hurricanes' first bowl practice in three years. Practice No. 2 is today. | Main | Nine Canes named to Coaches' All-ACC team »

So, what do you think of the Teddy vs. The Canes Bowl (AKA Russell Athletic Bowl)? Should be fun.

Sounds like a movie: Teddy vs. The Canes.

At one time, Teddy Bridgewater was committed to the Miami Hurricanes. Now he's committed to beating the Hurricanes.

Bridgewater, a Miami Northwestern product who now stars as the Louisville Cardinals' quarterback, will lead the Cardinals against Miami at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Russell Athletic Bowl in Orlando.

They'll officially announce the matchup in about half an hour. The game will be played at the Citrus Bowl Stadium.

Eighteenth-ranked Louisville (16th in USA Today coaches' poll) is 11-1 and 7-1 in the American Athletic Conference.

Miami, ranked 25th in the USA Today coaches' poll, is 9-3 and 5-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Miami leads this series 9-1, but lost 31-7 the last time they played the Cardinals in Louisville in 2006.

Bridgewater pulled his commitment from Miami after former UM coach Randy Shannon was fired. He followed his Miami Northwestern teammate and favorite receiver Eli Rogers to Louisville.

Bridgewater's mother was unhappy with the way Hurricanes fans reacted to her son decommitting from UM before he made Louisville his choice.

Regardless, Bridgewater is a great talent, and as repeatedly witnessed in his three seasons at Louisville, has a knack for creating good situations out of bad ones on the field.

Last season, Bridgewater threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns as the then-No. 21 Cardinals upset third-ranked Florida 33-23 in the Sugar Bowl.

The Cards have 23 players on their roster from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Talk about a South Florida pipeline.

If the Canes can pull this one off, it would definitely bolster recruiting efforts.

So, what's your take? Will you travel to Orlando for the game?

 Do you like the matchup?

I definitely like the matchup, and the storylines.

And just in case you didn't know, Miami plays Louisville next season, when the Cards join the ACC as a member of the Atlantic Division. They'll replace Maryland. The game date has not yet been announced.

Miami is allotted 13,500 tickets for the Russell Athletic Bowl. Tickets are priced at $77 and $82 and can be purchased through the UM Ticket Office online at CanesTix.com, in-person at BankUnited Center (M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or by phone at 1-800-GO CANES.

Canes Nation! Excited about joining the family! #🙌

of course duke johnson had a good game vs duke.....duke su...ked in 2012 and was 6-7....see only against team with lousy win/loss records

the week before he goes 13 for a grand total of 66 yards against 3-9 sfla team....give me a break....

let me know when he does something!

So according to the Raising Canes crap: The players have to fall back on their training, BUT when we saw any bad plays or outcomes, Golden says those are the examples of players not being focused on what they've been taught lol.

How convenient--as usual!

But dude just told me that there's no excuses in the video smh.

Whenever we see something work--Golden says that its a product of the kid showing their training of him. And how convenient and obvious that Allen Hurns was the player that was chosen as the poster boy for the coaches due to his great game against FSU. Hurns--another product of Shannon's empty cupboards lol!

U can't make this stuff up.

Protect our back yard, first and foremost.

Sounds great in theory, but in todays multi-media world, no S. Fla. kids slip through the cracks anymore. Between FSU, Fla., UCF, USF and all the Top Glamour programs and even many average National programs cherry-pickin talent, there is no way Miami can just rely on stockpiling S. Fla. kids to build the entire program. That ship sailed 10 years ago. We have to be far better at picking off top-rated out of State kids to balance out the roster. It's no longer the 1980's and 90's reality.

And to those that say the Star ratings are garbage ? To some extent, sure. But the Top 200-300 kids are the top 200-300 kids period. Sure some 5-Stars bust and some 2-Stars shine. But every top program, like most of the silly recruiting websites have the resources and technology to all know who and who can't play, talent wise in a single 5 minute game tape/video that can be sent from Miami to Alaska or Cali to Maine in 3-5 seconds. The tape never lies. 2-3-4-5 Stars ? Give me a roster full of 4-5 Stars all day and I'll always be better than the roster full of 2-3 Stars period. If you were Jeff Ireland, would you trade your 1-2-3 round picks for Five 5-6-7 round picks ? Although, come to think of it, he might, but that's another subject. Bottom line, Miami has to branch out while still keeping the majority of S. Fla. talent in the fold. Which is harder now than ever and not getting easier.

Finally, I just checked ESPN and 14 of their Top-30 uncommited top players lists of College Choices. Sure, every team offers, but the key is where these kids are going to visit. Out of the 14, 9 have visited and 2 are scheduled to visit the TURDS !!! The NOLES aren't far behind. The Canes ? Just ONE visit and none scheduled for now from those top-14 uncommited kids. If you go right down the list through the top-300, there are about 75 uncommited and it's pretty much the same story, with Miami getting a few visits already a couple of scheduled Jan. visits from some Northern kids to warm up.

The point is, if you can't get them on Campus, you can't get them the sign the DOTTED LINE !!!

Golden's key saying for the FSU game was, "Don't rise to the occasion...fall back on your training."

Hurns said, "We just have to accept culture..." What does that mean? Are the players having troubles accepting culture? And what culture is that?

Golden gave a confusing speech at the end of the FSU loss where he said, "we can't be having this type of speech after games if we expect to do what we want to do."

The team went on to lose the next two game by blowout and they were for the ACC Coastal and conference championship game.

Golden said after the FSU loss, "I know some are wondering how we lost" then he took his hands and spread them apart slightly and said, "this much is the difference" LOL!!

wrong...pat narduzzi did do it overnight....

2006 - defense unranked
2007 - narduzzi takes over defense is #32
2008 - #59
2009 - #73
2010 - #43
2011 - #6
2012 - #4
2013 - #1

hopefully the local boy will come back and coach UConn

now UM

2010 - defense is ranked #22
2011 - dnofrio takes over #45
2012 - #116
2013 - #76

Zook I never said Jackson wasn't coming here, if U read you'd see that we discussed his possible reasons for coming and/or not coming to UM. Nothing more, so no need to embellish.

Fact - Love him or hate him, Al Golden is signed through 2019 season. UM does not have $$$ to buy out his contract, so let's hope he improves as a coach.

Fact - Every QB in ACC, save UVA's, has had a field day against UM. The only reason UM is 9-3 is turnover advantage. Canes could easily be 5-7. TB is going to have a field day.

Fact - I live in Louisville, and after playing a dreadful, three-month schedule, the Card's football team and fans are sky-high about playing its first marquee team from a team from its future conference. Stadium will look like a U of L home game.

Fact - I lived in Miami for 15 years. I am a die-hard Canes fan, whose second-favorite team is U of L. I hope Canes win, but unless they get big turnover advantage, it ain't gonna happen.

We have no running game anymore :(

I give UConn alot of credit.....the old AD hires pasqualoni....he gets fired during the season since it aint working......then they fire the AD that hired him......

UM needs to do the same.....fire dnodrio and if blake cant do it (a f''king ticket supervisor as AD)...fire blake....

UConn wants to be a player in the ACC and is rumored to going to offer 2.5 to pat narduzzi.....

The UL OL is weak. Teddy will have a good game but we will pressure him. Morris will have a better game. The UM OL will give Morris time for him to find his targets at will. It's going to be a shoot out with the U coming out on top.

U can't compare msu to um. Bc dno takes it to a whole another level 116 followed by dead last in acc. Nothing can justify that. I don't know what u guys do for a living but after three years your productivity was the worst in your workplace would u not be fired? If not accepting the dc that led um to the worst defensive performances two years in a row getting beat by the same simple plays every single game makes me a hater then I guess I am. The other real fans can live in their world of excuses and passing blame into others.

So according to the Raising Canes crap: The players have to fall back on their training, BUT when we saw any bad plays or outcomes, Golden says those are the examples of players not being focused on what they've been taught lol.

The only job moron #2 a.k.a. clown 500 can apply for after this is to be a weather man. That's about the only other job i know you can be as wrong, this long and they keep telling you, it's ok, come on back tomorrow. clown 500 would make a great weather man, "expect Sunny skies tomorrow" everybody will wear raincoats, expect some rain tomorrow, everybody will go to homedepot and get boarded up, it would quickly be recognized that whatever this clown says do, the opposite must be done.

To make matters worst, moron #1 keeps trying to justify em. It's ok, once they start losing defensive recruits this year and whatever recruits we lose, none of it can be blamed on "the cloud" no more.

Harriet TUBMAN, i need to get some info to you, i wanted to see if you knew about something man!

Cal, I implore U to comment on Golden's slogan for FSU:

"Do not rise to the occasion...fall back on your training"

Bro, I have to hear your take on this new binder bile.

Cal, How do U propose I get it?

So according to the Raising Canes crap: The players have to fall back on their training, BUT when we saw any bad plays or outcomes, Golden says those are the examples of players not being focused on what they've been taught lol.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Like clockwork Harriet and her girlfriend Calvina have their panties in a knot because I posted a "Raising Canes" video that once again disproves their lies and misleading statements.

As you may know--Harriet and Calvina met in an airport public restroom where they drilled a very small hole through the stall wall...and well...since then they have been inseparable in the most disgusting way imaginable.

Harriet and Calvina are in a deep depression as even those two semi-pro rump wranglers know that Al Golden is the best coach in college football and will soon deliver the Canes 6th National Championship!!

LOL! I'm seriously laughing right now.

The Raising Canes video was utter exposure of Golden and his clueless exploits. The players truly (politics aside) don't know what he's talking about.

Your posting of that video was a mistake lol! Golden is fraud LMAO!!

That was a very detailed homoerotic story bro, U need to talk to someone about your sexuality issues. Why are U even thinking like that?

Raising Canes videos are hilarious, thanks!

BTW, I thought we were the same person lol!

No one will call you a hater for pointing out we are not a very good D. However, when you propagate falsehood that recruits are decomitting because of it, then you are a hater.

The D we have is from coach AG himself so blaming coach D is not going to get us anywhere. I want an aggressive D just like everyone else, but we need to be practical at this point. It has been repeatedly pointed out to you that we are not an exclusive 3-4 D at this time, but we are a multiple front multiple formation D. Why keep calling it a 3-4 D? Because you're a hater.

Overnight turn arounds are hard to come by. People keep bringing up Auburn, but the current HC Malzahn was their OC before Chizik decided to change their O. Whoever Malzahn recruited are juniors and seniors now. They are winning by lighting up their opponents.

I should also point out, while our O is explosive, we have a very bad 3rd down conversion rate. The O and D having bad 3rd down conversion rates is a recipe for disaster and can explain much of our woes.

LOL! I'm seriously mentally disturbed.

The Raising Canes video was utter exposure of me and my clueless exploits. The players truly know and believe in what Golden is talking about.

Your posting of that video proved I am an imbecile lol! I am a fraud LMAO!!

That was a very detailed homoerotic story bro, I need to talk to someone about my sexuality issues. Why am I always thinking like that?

Raising Canes videos prove I am an idiot, thanks!

btw.......williams was never hurt at BC, you have no idea what your talking about..

http://espn.go.com/boston/college-football/story/_/id/10059476/boston-college-eagles-heisman-trophy-hopeful-andre-williams-injured

ESPN and I both call you a liar.

"thats new.....when were you able to seach internet and find out where someone graduated from?"
No, it is even easier than that. It's called common sense that not everyone from Coral Gables went to BC. In fact, not everyone from ANY city in Florida went to BC. There are people that don't go to college at all, and those that stay in state, or if they can afford to go out of state, are not going to choose a mediocre school in Massachusetts that is not even in the city of Boston. Chestnut Hill? Middle of freaking nowhere. So, you make a preposterous claim, yet again, with ZERO proof, and whine when you get caught in that lie. Typical fake Gallo in action.

BTW, here is the only Boston College Jim Gallo, who is NOT also a UM student the way you claimed to be.

http://www.linkedin.com/pub/james-gallo/4b/b01/75a

Caught in another lie, how will you wiggle out of this one?

"poor green pea......your the one that never went to UM....your some loser kid hanging out...."
I not only went there, I graduated from there, and I also know the difference between your and you're. Caught in yet another lie. How sad for you....

"here ill say it again....duke johnson has done nothing since hes been here....he is not a big time back that can handle the load....."
Yet he is ranked number 11 as a sophomore? 28 yards from passing Alonzo Highsmith? I guess you think Highsmith did nothing here.

"2012: #66 duke johnson 947 yards
2013: #59 duke jonhson 920 yards
wow a whole 7 places....let me know when he breaks 1000 yards and does something...."
Hmm, you keep avoiding looking at total yards, where he has easily broken 1000 yards. And 19 TDs including game-winners is "doing something", no matter how much hate you spew on one of the best players this team has.

"like I've said...some guys always has something that holds them back.....other just get it done......"
Your command of the English language and your lack of integrity seems to be what is holding you back. Becasue you sure don't get it done here, with your constant bashing of Canes players. For the record, the phrase should be "Some (note the capital letter S) guys always have (has is for singular, have for plural)"

"btw.......williams was never hurt at BC, you have no idea what your talking about.."
Already provided TWO links showing he was injured. PLEASE give ONE link showing he was NEVER hurt at BC, or are you going to wimp out and claim since his injury was on the road, he wasn't hurt "at BC". Weak backtrack from a repeated liar.

"even jacory harris with a broken thumb on his throwing hand ended up #53 with a respectable 2486 and 20 TD's...."
Huh? Two different positions, and that was when Harris was a SENIOR.
Posted by: Jim Gallo | December 09, 2013 at 09:03 PM

You are ripping a current player, and comparing him to Senior Heisman candidate Andre Williams, when Duke has done better in his first two years than Williams did in HIS first two years.

Williams
Sophomore 124 517 4.2 69 4
Freshman 95 461 4.9 59 2

Williams rushed for a season-high 114 yards on 22 carries and scored a career-high two touchdowns in the 24-17 season-opening loss vs. Northwestern, one rush of 69 yards and 21 for 45 the rest of the way. THAT was his claim to fame as of his sophomore year. ACC First team? Nope. Rookie of the Year? Nope.

Johnson
Sophomore 145 920 6.3 59 6
Freshman 139 947 6.8 65 10

899 more yards, averaged 2 more yards PER CARRY, and TEN more touchdowns than your straw man at this point in his career.

You say Duke Johnson has done NOTHING in his two years at UM? You again are a liar.

Freshman rushing record 1867 yards and 16 TDs in only 20 games. FACT.
Set UM single-season record with 892 kick return yards and 2 TDs, better even than Hester. FACT.
2,060 all-purpose yards was second-most in program history. FACT.
Coaches ACC Overall and Offensive Rookie of the Year. FACT.
Sporting News ACC Freshman of the Year. FACT.

Set Miami single-game and ACC freshman all-purpose record with 368 yards at Virginia. FACT.
39th 1,000 yard rusher in school history. FACT.
Has had over 300 all-purpose yards twice. FACT.
Named ACC Specialist of the Week for his performance vs. Georgia Tech
Rushed for 169 yards on career-high 30 carries and two fourth-quarter TDs in comeback win over Wake Forest. FACT.

Is 133 yards shy of becoming 10th 2,000-yard rusher in program history. FACT.
Over 3200 total yards in two years. FACT.
But still fake Gallo hates him.

HTC, you seriously don't like the Raising Canes videos, or are you just taking a contrary position because Zook says he likes them?

I like them. They give an inside, players level view of what is going on. You say you support the players (unlike gallo who does nothing but attack Duke Johnson and other Canes players), so I would beleive you would support videos that give them positive exposure and access that fans would otherwise not get.

"thats new.....when were you able to seach internet and find out where someone graduated from?"

Hmm, what a great idea! A tool, for searching the internet. A search tool? One that can link a name with the school they went to? You might have just come up with the next big thing Gallo! You are wasting your talents fibbing all day on a Canes blog, when you could be the next internet millionaire!

Of course, the capability has been around for YEARS. That was how I was able to find out that Meggs and his two cronies in the Jameis Winston case were not only graduates but big time supporters of FSU. You really need to get into this century.

It's called using Google. Or Yahoo. Or Bing. Try it on something simple, like "Andre Williams Boston College Injured". You will be STUNNED at how fast it gives you About 369,000 results in (0.36 seconds).

Glad to see that the Jackson drama was just another attempt by Rivals to drum up page views on a non-story.

Posted by: Chris H. 88 | December 09, 2013 at 09:34 PM

I agree. We still have offers to some two star players, like for example Georgia safety Tre Neal, who might be underrated, but still we could just as easily go after Jamal Adams or Edwin Freeman, both uncommitted Top 100 level safeties that we have not even put out an offer for.

We have the quantity already, lets use the remaining spots to improve the quality of this class as well.

(Whenever we see something work--Golden says that its a product of the kid showing their training of him. And how convenient and obvious that Allen Hurns was the player that was chosen as the poster boy for the coaches due to his great game against FSU. Well his 1st season, which was RS's last he didn't even get to play. Didn't until 2011, and has gotten better ever since, so I'd say he's blossomed. By they way Tubs/Cal or should I say Sybil, we have a bowl game, and all you can talk about is the coaches, and patting yourself on the back when you state something OBVIOUS that we all already know. Let's get a 10 win season, and then get to recruiting, and if we need to address the DC, lets do it then.

your a complete idiot.....unless you post it via Facebook or any other social network......the school doesn't make the enrollment public....
as far as andre williams injury....he was not injured during his fresh - soph - jr year.....he shared the job in the backfield......

his only injury is recent but like ive said.....he will play.....some guys just get it don't...others don't

duke johnson has not broken a 1000 yards yet in 2 seasons.....let me know when he keeps company with the top rushing backs in ncaa with 300 carries or so and 1500-2200 yard area.....

see green pea...you cant escape the FACTS....

al golden is like a bad stock...you keep buying it when it goes lower but what you dont see kid is that everyone is bailing out of it....its liquidating...

keep buying the golden/dnofrio shares....soon it will be at zero, lol

shannon empty cupboard left for golden:

Andre Williams shared the job in the backfield? You mean like how Johnson did with Mike James (who got more carries) last year and with Dallas Crawford (who currently only has 19 fewer carries) this year?

So, you made a claim about your neighborhood all going to BC, even the dumb kids, cannot support it, nobody here believes it, yet you resort to insults when caught in your lie? Shocking.

And then you do the same thing to Duke Johnson, who has a whole LIST (you LIKE lists, remember) of accomplishments, but you claim he has done NOTHING, despite monster runs and game-winning scores, and again, nobody here believes it, yet you resort to insults when caught in your lie? Shocking again.

Then, you try the weakest of straw man moves, changing the subject to the coaches, when the poiunt is that you were hating on a player, Duke Johnson, who has only been proving you wrong for the past two years when you claim he has done nothing.

cola your full of sh...it....the reason why hurns didn't play was because in 2010 he had leonard hankerson and travis benjamin in front of him......then in 2011 he had tommy streeter......

golden had nothing to do with hurns progression....hurns just needed for those guys to clear out....

NO Gallo you're FOS, and ALWAYS have been with your stupid, childish, meaningless lists. Hurns could've been the 3rd wr in the slot and once his talents were shown he could've been another weapon, but RS was famous for guys not being used correctly. Streeter suddenly became good, once RS left, and so did Hurns. They were hardly given a chance. AG has had Hurns for 3 yrs, and has nothing to do with his progression? Really??

Wow, Gallo, Shannon sure did leave alot of NFL first round talent out there! Should have gone undefeated instead of losing to USF with that list of All-Pros! Nice try at changing the subject, but that lie has already been burst, especially since you include people that did not sign with Shannon.

So, why is it in one post you rip Johnson as worthless and doing nothing, and in the next you claim he was a stud left by Shannon for Golden? Ahh, that would be because you just spew hate on the Canes players and fans from multiple directions, trying to see if ANY of your lies will stick.

I wonder, can you make a list of the players Chizik left for Auburn, or the list Bobby left for FSU, and we will see who was given the better "cupboard" to work with....

sorry green pea here is the data....on andre williams

2010: montel harrie #1 acc @ #16 natl 1243 yards
andre williams 461.....SHARED

2011: rolandan finch 705
andre williams 517.....SHARED

2012: rolandan finch 431
andre williams 584.....SHARED

2012: then addazzio comes in and makes williams the feature back......#1 national rank @ 2102 and 17 TD's

I'm not a duke hater at all...I am a realist....duke has done nothing so far....those are the facts

let me know when he he get to the 2000 yard marks, then I'll recognize him.....as of now he hasn't broken 1000 and you know why...hes too small, he will be prone to injury....

look pea.....that's the facts, those are the guys randy shannon recruited whether you like it or not....

duke johnson just may be the guy that's injured all the time....who knows but so far....NOTHING

you have no idea UM needs EVERYTHING next year......and without a QB or strong back....UM will fail, and so far UM has NOBODY.....we lost danny dillard, that was the big back I was looking for now we just have gus edwards. who even knows whether duke will be the same.....

oh you mean like ray-ray armstrong that was kicked off the team and is in the rotation and 2 deep roster at st louis? or do you mean strom johnson that will be featured/playing at prime time in the fiesta bowl?

you mean like that?, lol

ColaCane is always posting (swinging) and running. can't get a response from him after U roast him on his non-point aka nonsense every single day ala yesterday when he was manhandled and disappeared again. No response when I rebutted that the player U said sucked, were all recruited by Golden, never play and are behind "Shannon's garbage" players. How can all that be? How did the Great Golden recruit sucky players who haven't developed either?

As for your last post of the day (today's post): Its understandable that Hurns didn't play much early if he was a freshman, even though I remember him starting his 1st game as a freshman after tearing it up in practice and there being a shortage of WRs early that season. Whatever the case, how does that refute my assertion that is a holdover from what many like yourself describe as the "empty cupboards" left by Shannon? Whether he played early or not, doesn't matter--the point is that RS obviously didn't leave "empty cupboards" and "garbage" players behind.

And once again U ask others not to address anything U don't want to hear until after the season. First, who do U think U are? And why don't U practice what U preach and *either* start a discussion on a topic U want to hear OR take your own advice and U decide not to post until after the season is over.

Where is the blogging rules manual that says we can't talk about coaching related topics (an aspect of UM football) until the offseason?

Dude U are obsessed with other men and their abilities to think original thoughts aside from those that have been dictated to U and them. Thats your true issue.

Gallo says that the 2011 Mr. Football Florida is too small and too prone to injury. He already BROKE the 2000 yard mark, in total yards, but Gallo ignores the rest of his accomplishments.

And your own weak stats show the difference. Williams could not even beat out Rolandan Finch (who?) for two years, while Miami by the end of his freshman year was relying far more on Duke than on James. He won the starting position on talent, something you claim he does not have.

How many times did Williams break 600? Once.
What year did he do it in? Senior year.

How many times did DUKE break 900? Twice.
What year did he do it in? EVERY year.

Duke Johnson as a Freshman or as a Sophomore >>>> Andre Williams as a Freshman or as a Sophomore or as a Junior.

Williams in his senior year, with no other talent around him, gets 329 carries. I guess by your "logic", he has done NOTHING up until then.

Oh, and how many yards RECEIVING did Mr Williams have?
ZERO. Goose-egg.
Oh, and how many yards RETURNING did Mr Williams have?
ZERO. Goose-egg.

2102 total yards as a Senior is "doing something", But Duke getting 2060 as a Freshman is "doing nothing".

Go root for BC, since that is where your whole neighborhood is going to school, and where your favorite player is (for one more game), and where your favorite coach not named Meyer or Muschamp is located.

You set this false 1000 yard barrier, but if Duke had gotten to 1000, (which he could have if not pulled from blowout wins both years) you would instead set a 1100 yard barrier.

Cal, I implore U to comment on Golden's slogan for FSU:

"Do not rise to the occasion...fall back on your training"

Bro, I have to hear your take on this new binder bile.

Man you already know it made me sick to my stomach hearing this moron say "you don't rise to the occassion, you fall back on your training" and i'm saying to myself, what got damyum training, the one that's been getting this defense drubbed up & down the field all game long against solid team, than he's always repeating himself, that gets old. When i heard all that kept popping up was, man, these 2 morons can't get out of here fast enuff. We got a losr/mediocre coach trying to tell championship kids how to go into a game with that weak mindset.

Something is seriously wrong with goldie, before the game he's trying to tell the kids, "it's just another game" than after the Fsu game, he's trying to tell anyone who'd listen that V-tech was a bigger game than the Fsu game. So this moron is trying to change the rivalry, all that hand-shaking before the game and getting yo arses whooped during the game, we need to give that up.

Also the title of that raising Canes video "stockdale paradox" might as well been stockholm paradox" i'm tired of seeing the defensive players sitting on the ground while the offense is on the field just so some moron can feel like he's in charge, i can tell you right now, i would've been one of the ones kicked off this team had these 2 morons come in.

Honestly man, i can't even really comment to much on that morons pre-game comments, it's stupid and he'll never be able to get a team fired up and ready to play like real Miami players can, he's to busy trying to micro-manage and keeps his egg-head arse in every huddle to try and act like he's putting his blue-print on the whole team, nobody else can shine besides him and he tries to pretend his boy is shining, but everybody else, oh well.

For him to say what he said before the game was way worst than what he said after we lost last year, this guy is clueless and this is what happens when you bring in some start-up coach that doesn't have a dominating personality amongst his peers, it's easy to try and act like you're in charge of the team by simply kicking guys off the team but be a tuff guy with your peers, I knew when he started wearing the tie, i said aw hell, here comes a watered down Canes team, than all the arm hooking and swaying back & forth, this ain't the big 10 GTFOH with that garbage.

I'm actually tired of this gimmick act man, i'd rather have will muschamp as the headcoach cause at least we know we're going to play defense. people talking about moron #1 cares about the kids & muschamp doesn't GTFOH, if goldoie cared about the kids, he wouldn't keep his friend here over them while his friend gets paid, in the meantime, nobody is being developed on defense enuff so players can start getting paid professionally with this soft scheme. Man, these 2 morons can't be gone fast enuff for me!

Allen Hurns played in 9 games as a *true*freshman with some snaps at WR where he didn't record a catch. So he did play early and earned snaps at WR as a *true* freshman.

Same nonsense---gallo lists, Calvin men fixation (esp weight), Tubby Faux even keel intellectual rants, Duh Ds bad bets.

Here's all you need to know:

Canes were 9-3 and going to a bowl. O was good, D was lousy. The NCAA is behind us with a minor scholarship overhang.

Good recruiting class teed up. Golden will be back Dno will be back. Like it or don't like it makes zero difference, they'll be here.

We'll see if a qb emerges. He'll have lots of weapons to work with. We'll see if the D improves. Talk here will have zero impact on all of the above.

Gallo, you maggot, tell us again how your whole family went to BC, how Andre Williams was never injured.

Wrong on both counts, Pig.

So, Randy gets full credit for Hurns and Johnson, even though Duke signed with Golden, and not Shannon, because they are obviously only achieving thanks to Randy.

But.... Golden gets full BLAME for Henderson, Chickillo, Highsmith for not developing them. Why didn't Rany use that same magic on those three?

Randy screwed up sometimes, Golden screws up sometimes, but folks on both sides refuse to accept that and give all the credit to their guy and all blame to the other.

It is like people still doing that with Bush and Obama, where gas prices, Iraq, Afghanistan, the deficit, the lack of a budget, etc. are ALL the fault of one side, but the economic recovery, restoration of home prices, wall street, and killing of Bin Laden are ALL the credit of the other side.

If I say something negative or positive about Randy or Golden, there are some here that decide that means I am on a "side". The "side" I am on is for Canes wins, and if it was Howard, Jimmy, Erickson, Butch, Coker, Randy, or Golden, both their positive and negatives are fair game, all year long.

It is when liars like Gallo choose to attack Canes players, and lie by saying they have done nothing when they have had the best first two years in Canes history that is becomes clear that they are not even trying to discuss the team, just rip the players any way they can, in one post propping them up as worldbeaters, and in the next beating them down as worthless, based on if they are attacking a coach or attacking a player.

yes hurns did play but the point which these idiots cant see is that when you have guys like hankerson, streeter and benjamin.....the offense is going to go to them...not hurns....

Good recruiting class teed up. Golden will be back Dno will be back. Like it or don't like it makes zero difference, they'll be here.

I hope you are wrong about Donofrio. For the good of the team, a change needs to be made. Even if it is a placebo effect, tricking the players into thinking a new system is in place, it has got to be better than what we have seen when this defense is challenged.

I truly hope that Donofrio, who Golden has shown such loyalty to, will show loyalty back, and take a job elsewhere for the good of his friendship with Golden. Or that he will step down for his family's sake. Anything, to get a different DC in here.

It is like the Dolphins with Jeff Ireland. No matter how much bad luck the guy has gotten, he needs to go, for the good of the team. Even if all he does is take the bad luck with him, it is a step in the right direction.

Tubs aka Cal, I work unlike most of you slobs, and can't stay on here 24/7 and actually have a life, so that's why I have to leave sometimes. I know you and your alter ego fall asleep with your laptop perched on your fat gut, and then wake up with it ready to start your SAME THING EVERYDAY postings. I actually talk about upcoming games and give positive vibe to the players, and look at what MIGHT be accomplished as opposed to stating OBVIOUS minutia which you and your alter ego do every single time you post. It's always Dno doesn't know, or 500 moron, or whatever, and it's very tiresome.
