Good news for Hurricanes fans this Saturday afternoon.
Junior College defensive tackle Michael Wyche, who two days ago said he was re-opening his recruiting because an obscure ACC rule was delaying his entrance into UM, has decided to stick with the Hurricanes after signing a National Letter of Intent back in December.
I have decided that I am going to do the rest of these classes to satisfy the ACC rule and go to the University of Miami.— michael wyche (@wyche11) February 1, 2014
Getting Wyche back on board is huge for UM considering the need they have at defensive tackle. The 6-4, 315-pound standout out of East Los Angeles College is considered the 12th best JUCO defensive tackle in the country this year by 247Sports.com.
With only three defensive tackles returning, Miami now has four lined up in its 2014 signing class and is counting on Wyche to come help the program immediately. UM now has nine early enrollees and 18 players committed to the 2014 class.
