if these guys are examples of the rest of the recruits...we did good! People complain about not getting this kid..or that kid, etc...none of that matters...what matters is the kid's heart, preparation, willingness to learn...and of course...WE NEED TO COACH THEM UP!!!
WELCOME TO THE U Gentlemen, all of you!!
God Bless and much success...you entered a new step into manhood; make your families proud!

Just how utterly laughingly stupid, irrelevant and ridiculous does that kid in the picture at the podium holding up a canes championships banner of the past look as only one of those 'ships was won when ANY kid on the present roster was born nearly 15 years ago and this 2014 class were all still in diapers speaking future cane jibber jabbar.

1 Ship in 22 years ain't no dynasty u 20th century time machine delusional dopes. But come 2020, with still no more ships to show or sew onto ur dusty banner, u dumb clucks will still be spouting off about ancient 'ships, waaayyy outside the relevant modern era from over 4 decades and 40 years ago.

That is the true sad saga cane thang that is []_[] and where []_[] are.

But now, in ur delusional candycane dreamleand, Ur once again for over a decade February, Spring and August National Championship contenders again, riiieet ?

The young man looks proud of the decision he made in that he is going to attend a university that has five National Titles in the sport that he excels at and a lot more intelligent than the poor young men who are going to a school that only has three titles and went 4 and 8 last year.

The next Nobody's that no top programs even want as walkon scout teamers that will never see the field (except for FAMU, Bethune n FAU) JUCO, Nigerians, legacy sons n brothers or unranked 2 star High School scrubs with great character, work ethic and potential upside like Beau Sandland, Ufomba Kamalu, Taylor Gadbois, Nantambu-Akil Fentress or Wyatt Chickillo.

so u got that going for u.

I don't see anything on video that says give Malik Rosier a scholarship. A Project at best and not nearly indicative of the type of talent needed to return the U to prominence.

And u gots 35 of them just like that on the roster right now (more than a third), u just added another dozen from this years class and will continue to add waaayyy toooo many year after year under Golden's grand great character, work ethic and potential upside scrubs that no top programs want or offer Temple/Penn.St. quantity of bodies North East philosophy plan... In 2016, half ur roster will be comprised of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania 3-Star (='s unranked in Florida) SCRUBS.

And Mark D'Onofrio will still be ur D-Coordinator too.

Mobile, AL. .1-A Faith Bible Christian School Quarterback Malik Rosier 6-1/190 4.7 forty - offered by Furman, Louisiana Lafayette, Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Southern Miss and Western Kentucky ONLY ! Not 1 relevant D-1 offer except Miami's Golden Eyes after he already had HOMETOWN Hialeah's Alin Edouards solid commit in stone.

Now Compare

DADE COUNTY PLAYOFF HIALEAH HIGH SCHOOL 8-A Quarterback Alin Edouards 6-2/190 4.45 forty ATHLETE - offered by Syracuse(SIGNED), Arizona, B.C., Cincinnati, Miami, FIU, Mississippi, Nebraska, Penn St., UCF, S. FLA. and Tennessee. And when Golden offers a nobody Malik Rosier, Alin Edouards tells Golden, SEE U LATER.

But trust in Al n Co. correct ? Golden screwed the pooch Bigtime on this one the day he offered the Bama kid after securing Edouards commit many weeks earlier saying he'd be the ONLY Duel-QB in this '14 class and many local Coaches in the Dade Athletics School scene know it. And there are plenty of other LOCAL examples that will come out as Golden and his BFF's Gables Honeymoon winds down very soon.

And the apologists will say the kid was a soft verbal, didn't want to compete, he decommitted first, he didn't have the grades, couldn't play QB, Al knows best... blah blah blah.

Malik rosier was recruited by some sec schools. the kid at best will probably only be a third stringer, With olsen and kayaa being starters next 5 yrs, But he can be a nice change of pace near goal line to run some read option , also is a heck of an athlete and can always move to another postion. as for the rest of the class , u can't always go on rankings but miami is top 10 class, they have some great kids.this is a time of optimism for real cane fans and should always be so. Miami did a very good job and will do even better next year with no ncaa mess over there head. golden is building what needs to be built , this team has a chance to be special in 2-3 yrs.

read option? you want to use stacey coley and duke as blockers to run malik

really, u clucks have no idea what's coming for u in 2018 do u ?

... help them out Arty

please

One championship in 20 years? No, more like Oklahoma THUMPED the Semenholes when we should have been in that game. We beat Nebraska and the ref of all time (6 sec to think) robbed us against OSU. In other words, we should have at least seven (7) titles to date!!!

If we are so irrelevant, WHY do you clucks patrol this blog???

To all the Cane fans that rip the coaches; take a look at yourself before you point the finger; see below:

### Though UM missed out on some elite local players, which certainly doesn’t sit well with them, blaming the UM staff for some of those would be short-sighted. For example, Plantation American Heritage’s Sony Michel cited the poor crowds at UM games as one reason that Georgia was more appealing.

Wow, namechanging trailertrash coward is on full tilt, talking to himself, demanding predictions about our team, yet is suddenly MUTE about his 4-8 gatrs. Now wants to say a dynasty is not winning 4 titles in a decade, but instead tries to claim we are talking about a Canes dynasty based on 2001 alone.

Weak job making up lies yet again, coward.

Hey Canesjunkie option read key word being "option". I know it creates a real dilemma for the defense when you have to watch Coley , Duke , and the Qb . Could be a nice addition to our offense in the redzone and 3rd downs. Go Canes

I just don't like pulling the qb out and untying him back in. Maybe I'm just old school, but I don't like to get cute in the red zone.

Miami recruits can be proud of coming into the legacy of this U.

in the last 31 years:

5 national championships
10 championships played for

THAT IS MORE THAN ALABAMA, FSU, UF, USC, TEXAS, OHIO STATE, OREGON, OR ANY OTHER E--FIN PROGRAM

School with most former players playing inthe superbowls all time

Most players inthe NFL 7 out of the last 8 NFL seasons

Most probowlers

Most TDs in the NFL in consec weeks by a former player

The list goes on and on. Its true. Its a cane thang- No UF CLUCK, NO CALVIN, NO COOL CAT NO CANE72, NO SEMINHOLES, CAN EVER UNDERSTAND

Who cares that sony Michel says stadium is empty. That's on the school. Not the fans. They can lower prices substantially. Why should fans pay so much to see mediocre football. Miami dynasty was built on players & coaches who played and coached in order to get to next level. It was not about the college experience. It was a more professional approach toward college football. Players who need to be showered with glory we don't need them.

The stadium will fill up if the Canes win. Miami is a terrible sports town, but it is also a frontrunning sports town. All Miami teams struggle with attendance unless they are winning.

True it ultimately is on the school. There's only so many loyal fans in south florida.

I don't really like getting cute in the redzone either Canesjunkie , I would prefer to pound it in with brute force or throw fades to tall receivers but that has not worked well for us recently and times have changed gotta change with them. Go Canes

The canes played for the title in 02 Rose season and 03 Fiesta season, and was playng n the 04 orange and 05 Chick Fill A Bowl. Its not like we have been down for long. Coker and Shannon sent us spiraling downwards. They hired back to back 1st time coaches to coach a team just coming off like a 35 game win streak and all those NFL players.

Get over it. FSU has only win 3 period. UF. 3. MIami 5 in last 30 years, and played for the title like 12 times in last 30 years including down times

Ever been to Athen, Ga? After pit stopping at Terrapin Brewery, of course you'd go the game. Sit at home is next best option there.

Ga...pound it with Gus the Bus. I hear you on the qb.

GatorKillerCane,
I'm a Canes fan living in Athens. You are absolutely right lol!!!

Its funny how that's all 20th century has to go on....hahahahahah....what a tard....we have dominated his Turds for 30 years in wins AND in total SHIPS....but....I guess that's what "gets him off"....

4-8????

National signing day is over. Didn't, address speed at running back position or big back with breakaway speed. Overstocked at Q.B position . How many QB,s do we have now? Some seem to think the star system doesn't, mean anything. Look who winning championships. Don't know of any team full of 2 and 3stars winning championships. Nevertheless some believe this staff is doing a great job with the team. I cannot blame Coach D for last year issues. OFFENSE NOT ON THE FIELD LONG ENOUGH TO EVALUATE. Blame equally across the board. The administration has been putting a band aid on coaching issue for years. Nice jester by the administration for giving young coaches like Shannon and Golden the opportunity of a lifetime. Coaching a 5 national champion football team. But it's time to get serious and pay the bills after this year 6 and 6 at best. I would like to see the hurricanes have there own stadium maybe on campus before my kids go their. We were champions in the 80's why not now. This will happen with more experience coaching.

If we can finally stop giving up 500 yds per game, we will be fine. That's all I'm looking for from this class.

Canes all night , U can give up on a stadium for about 20 more years....as I remember we have a 25 yr lease at our current stadium. The buyout would be ridiculous. Nothing more I would like to see than a replica of the orange bowl built near campus. Unless a strong hurricane or tornado comes along we are stuck in an nfl stadium. Regardless its better than the sinkhole in gville.

Ljust saw an interesting video on esecpnthat says the ACC is trying to schedule one game every year for each member team to play an sec game other than the ones that are played now between instate teams. We wont get the gators because they are bound by law to play FSU.

canesallniught and others:

Its not necessartiyly teams that are choc full of 4-5 stars. Its 4-5 stars at key positions that play what they are hyped to be.

Kyle Wright was a 5 star. If there was such a thing as a 6 star he'd come out of hs as one. He was that over hyped. Macdonalds or gatorade hs player of the year etc etc.

Same with Brock Berlin
Same withJacorry Harris
Same with Robert Marve

Charlie Jones

Tyrone Moss

Calais Campbell
Anthony Chikillo

Seriously. Key position is QB. If your QB is an int machine, plays hurt 3/5 years, is a mental case, or all of the above, we cant win. No matter how good your D is!

Some here blabber about how Randy Shannon had a 20-25 ranked Defense. So -- what. Look at our records: 5-7, 7-6, 9-4, 7-6.

Miami needs:

1) a stud QB
2) a stud D Tackle

With those two, Miami will win at least 10 games a year and at least willhave a chance to compete.

Defense depends on the Offense scoring and time of possesion. One minute drives should only occur if were behind in the 4th quarter. Stephen Morris was a major bust although he was only a 3 star- and I would take him over 5 star Jacorry Harris any day

If these kids prefer to play in stadiums that are filled each game, it will never happen at the "U"; even if we went 13 - 0 every year. Players should come to the "U" because of the education and tradition; even in our heyday, we never completely sold out the OB unless ND, FSU, UF, OK, NEB or some other powerhouse came to town. It's not about the crowds that show up, it's about family, friends, HOMETOWN, and being a part of the "U". Stadiums and crowds do not make the players better people or contributors to society; we need players who grew up wanting to be Canes. I am not sold that AG (a Jersey Guy) can get these players to stay home without having such things to offer as a sold out stadium and major facilities; AG is not Jimmy Johnson, RS, or Coker for that matter. We need help...

Addressed DT with two JUCO's and COURTELL JENKINS?????? You're F'ing kidding me right? Golden is a joke.

Posted by: g8rseetmya55 | February 08, 2014 at 10:15 AM

SMo17 had multiple coordinators and and showed improvement with Fisch in the second year. He also had skill players that dropped the ball. He could have been better, yes. But give the kid a break.

Uh, marble mouf? We got one of the best dt's from juco and sec teams were trying to get him also. An sec team would have gotten him if they didnt have the same transfer rule tha ACC has. He could have waited to go to the sec but chose to wait for the ACC . Plus we picked up Moten, another player the sec was after jard and heavy. Yes we adressed the dt position. We definitely need more ,but thats a good start.

We can't fill that stadium, right. But does it have to be so empty?! Sometimes it's a joke how empty it is.

Kayaa is the truth. Kid has a big frame, athleticism, nice feet and quick release.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwraoBJTczY

We need an on campus or within walking distance facility, Hurricane Stadium, to start building the magic once again.

The soccer stadium is what we should get behind as an institution.

There is no way there will ever be such a facility in the Gables city limits; that's as certain as death and taxes. The OB commute on the metro was perfect and essentially walking distance. Something similar with an intimate college feel will be the way to go. If the soccer stadium is a no go then we may have to rethink the possibility of playing in Marlins park.

The soccer stadium is supposed to be privately funded so let's hope they will be open to allowing Hurricane football. Another consideration is the planned size of the stadium, which is likely to be much smaller than the OB and football stadiums in general. The U may have to rethink how they want to package the football experience moving forward...

Enjoy this link with []_[] architecture students' fantasy renderings of downtown stadiums. There are some really cool designs.

http://univmiami.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/UM-architecture-students-design-Miami-s-fantasy-soccer-stadium/G000076kOMGtzwkc/I0000mCXo1C2VaSM

Looking over the recruiting haul, we didn't finish very strong but made inroads moving forward. I'm not sure how Golden's flirtation ultimately affected the class but Getting Kayaa, Thomas, and the trench depth to go with LB/WR depth is a step in the right direction. Especially after really not knowing the full scope of NCAA sanctions until october. I think moving into next season we will be better positioned to go hard after kids that want to stay home and i'm confident we will get better results.

The biggest indicator of our readiness as a program to really compete will be how Williams responds after a year in Cole's system and the level of competition he will set for the position. I'm really excited about Kayaa, but I'd like to see him red-shirted.
