Miami Hurricanes' Tuesday morning practice report: who's missing? Who's back?

Stretch11-8-16

Just finished our 15 minutes of viewing from Tuesday Miami Hurricane practice.

*** The good news for UM football: Defensive end Demetrius Jackson, who injured his left knee against North Carolina on Oct. 15 and has missed the Virginia Tech, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh games, was back practicing with his position group.

Even missing those games, Jackson has 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, three pass breakups, and a quarterback hurry. He has 22 tackles.

*** The bad news: Center Nick Linder (shoulder) was not at practice. We expected his absence in light of coach Mark Richt telling us Saturday after the Pitt game that Linder, who has started 27 consecutive games, was hurting a lot. Senior Alex Gall did an admirable job at center in the second half against Pitt.

*** Receiver Stacy Coley was out there today, which is also good news, knowing that his left knee began hurting him again during the Pittsburgh game.

*** Richt's press conference is at noon today.
