More on the death of Robert Mondavi

Mondavi_2

The world's wine publications are commenting on the death of American wine pioneer Robert Mondavi.

There’s an extensive, informative obit in Decanter magazine’s website, written by Linda Murphy, Healdsburg wine writer and former wine editor of The San Francisco Chronicle.

There's an even longer story in Wine Spectator's online version.

The photo shows Peter Mondavi, left, and Robert Mondavi, right, receiving lifetime achievement awards at the 2007 South Beach Wine & Food Festival. Standing, from left, are Southern Wine & Spirits chairman/CEO Harvey Chaplin, senior vice president/wine division president Mel Dick and president/COO Wayne Chaplin. (Photo courtesy the SoBe fest.)
