Wine fans are complicated people. In Tuesday’s blog, I asked my question of the week -- that is, “How are you coping with drinking wine in such hot weather?” Then I sent an e-mail blast to 30 or 40 of my blog readers who have commented before, asking them to check out the blog and comment on the question.
Within an hour, one of the recipients took over some of the addresses I had used and sent them a bunch of nude photos. Full-frontals, to boot.
One recipient said he opened the e-mail innocently with his young son sitting beside him, and was very embarrassed.
Well, that’s awkward. And nudity is a no-no in a family newspaper – even its blog. So I sent out a new e-mail blast apologizing to those who received the pix.
Within another hour, I started receiving e-mails from readers saying they hadn’t received any nude photos, and what were they, chopped liver, and how come I had left them out? I’m not sure if I need another apology there or not.
In any case, wine fans, keep those cards, letters and e-mails coming. But limit your photo attachments to bottle pictures, please.
