Remember those national polls that said drinking wine in America had become almost as popular as drinking beer?
Well, forget ‘em.
In 2005, Gallup said wine was up to 37 percent and beer was down to 40 percent among ages 30-49. Well, their most recent poll finds beer back up to 47 percent, wine down to 27 percent.
I guess we Americans took our shot at sophistication, but we couldn’t keep it up.

I guess the economy is affecting that too. Looking for cheaper gas and cheaper drinks.
I think we will regain our sophistication with our economy!
