Andrew Lampasone is speaking very highly of a couple of cult wines from Australia he has in his Wine Watch shop in Fort Lauderdale. They’re called Amon-Ra, after the King of all Gods in Egyptian mythology.
· 2005 Amon-Ra Godolphin, Barossa Valley, 80 percent shiraz from 85-year-old vines, 20 percent cabernet sauvignon from 60-year-old vines; list $68.75, sale $60.50.
· 2005 Amon-Ra Shiraz, Barossa Valley, 100 percent shiraz from 100-year-old vines.
