The love that dare not speak its name

Today show co-anchor Meredit Vieira looked slightly dazed Wednesday when she joined the rest of the cast at the television critics' press tour for the announcement that Today is expanding to a fourth hour. It turned out that she was still seeing stars from an intimate moment during a segment on animal trainers on the morning's telecast. "I can't get over the fact that I kissed a monkey this morning on the Today show, and I initiated it," Vieira confessed. "Quite frankly, I can't stop thinking about it."

Today weatherman Al Roker was understanding. "Meredith just brought up something that, I think, will in fact probably be part of the fourth hour," he explained. "And that's inter-species dating."
