Former astronaut John Young, interviewed over the weekend by CNN's John Zarrella, insisted that outer-space exploration must continue at all costs because "single-planet species don't last." Alas, Zarrella did not ask the obvious follow-up: Which multi-planet species have lasted, Spaceman Young?
