It appears that the cliffhanger season finale of Las Vegas (it ended with Molly Sims' pregnancy in crisis, while Tom Selleck was apparently returning from the dead) that aired on Feb. 15 was really the series finale. NBC has canceled the show after five seasons -- though the producers are organizing a "spontaneous viewer campaign" in hopes of reviving it. Taking a cue from the fans who saved Jericho last season by mailing CBS countless tons of peanuts, the producers are asking viewers to send truckloads of baby booties to NBC programming boss Ben Silverman.

'Las Vegas' cancelled

NBC needs to leave the good shows alone and get rid of some of the bad ones. Law and Order Criminal Intent is still there and no one watches that. The spin off series is playing off the coat tails of the far superior originator of it all, Law and Order. Medium is still showing and that is just plain horrible. Is NBC tired of letting its employees party in Vegas on the set of Las Vegas? Screw it, I'm sending in a pair of blue baby booties.

Las Vegas in kaput?? Say it ain't so, Joe! Another "suit" without a clue.

I didn't like it this year -- thought the stories were weak and the characters started getting a little goofy. I'd like to see them resolve the cliffhanger but beyond that...time to say goodbye.

Please don’t cancel this show!! It is one of the few good ones out there…I never miss an episode and at the very least need to see what happens after that cliffhanger

Save Las Vegas PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I cannot believe as the NBC has finished the series with a cliffhanger. Please not cancelled Las Vegas!
No puedo creer pues el NBC ha acabado la serie con un cliffhanger. ¡por favor no cancelado Las Vegas!

Tell you what. NBC fooled around with perfection. It wasn't broken. It didn't need to be fixed. Give US viewers what we want. Nikki Cox, Cheryl Ladd, and last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, James Caan. REVIVE the show!!!!

Canceling vegas is a horrible decision...That show is very entertaining and as someone said above...Cancel the shows that no one watches and keep something that keeps the viewers tuning in week after week to watch the show...
BRING IT BACK, BRING IT BACK!!!!

Cancelled? This is horrible. Now we're stuck with the Presidential Campaign garbage. We need Las Vegas back. Someone please start delivering the baby booties to NBC Executives!!!!!

Why is it that everytime I find a show I really like, it gets cancelled. Like Justice for example. I thought it was really cool how they would have a mock jury and at the end they would show you a recap of what really happened. Now I really like Vegas I find Vanessa Marcil hilarious, Danny really georgeous and Delinda really cute. When I found out that James Caan was leaving I was really disappointed but Tom Selleck has done a really great job replacing him. Please don't cancel Vegas it's such a great show and you can't leave us hanging as far as Delinda and Danny's baby goes, and the way that Danny proposed to Delinda. I wanted to melt. Can I find his proposal somewhere??

NBC IS GETTING AS BAD AS FOX WITH CANCELLING GOOD SHOWS AND REPLACING THEM WITH CRAP. I DIDN'T THINK THAT COULD HAPPEN. WAY TO GO NBC IDIOTS.

I can't believe this either! I just got my husband hooked on the show and we both enjoy it so much! Does anyone remember how they ended "Crossing Jordan"? There was a plane crash on a mountain containing most of the cast. They left them on the mountain and ended the show with no rescue! Here we go again!

Don't cancel this show. It's so great! We need this show back.
Posted by: Sandy | March 14, 2008 at 01:00 AM
It has more programs cancels the NBC that no other TV. I do not understand why the NBC have cancelled Las Vegas leaving we fans without a true end? I hope that if the NBC not from us fans the end that we deserve ourselves after 5 years, it can make an other TV.

I'm disappointed as well. Las Vegas was my weekly escape. The characters were starting to get a little schizoid and it probably was a good time to end the show. But give us a finale, please. I hate loose ends that were not meant to be.
Posted by: KMA | March 14, 2008 at 07:41 PM
You can't leave us hanging with Las Vegas. NBC has far too shows that are worth watching. The new Law and Order is terrible now that Jack is not in the court room. Las Vegas is a great show. If you cancel it you are making a big mistake. I tune in every Friday night and it is one of the few shows I watch on NBC. Even Leno knows you are terrible at picking the right shows. Your sitcoms are terrible! PLEASE do not cancel Las Vegas. We have to know what happens next. Tom Selleck is great, so if Josh and the rest of the cast. You are making a huge mistake and losing many viewers, me among them

Dear Mr. Ben Silverman,
I have been a loyal fan of ‘Las Vegas’ for five years. It is appalling that your network would end a series without a proper ending. Instead the fans have been slapped in the face with a cliffhanger. A show that was supposed to be two parts and instead we got a one part episode. Please give Las Vegas fans a real ending to our favorite show! After five years we deserve an ending. Restore our faith in your network by allowing this great show to finish it’s five year run properly.

I certainly hope you are not cancelling Las Vegas. I watched it faithfully every Friday night. Now your showing Dateline, yuk! Tom Selleck was a nice addition to the cast and you didn't even give the show a chance with him in it. We don't need any more reality shows or stupid game shows. At least bring it back for a summer series!!

I have been waiting for someone to get there heads out of the dark places and put "Las Vegas " back on tv Don't care what night as long as it is returned. I have very few showes that I enjoy. Las Vegas being the best waited for it to come backand when it did not return I had to fine out why??????? That is still the question
Posted by: dj | June 20, 2008 at 05:48 PM
you know as a baby boomer it's hard for me to find a decent show on tv to watch everybody seems to be concerned with the younger generation with all these reality shows and stupid comedies . I have watched Tom Selleck since the begiining of his career and although I was a little skeptical when they said James Caan was leaving I was thrilled when it was decided That Tom would take his place but as you TV executives always do put something on that people watch and you either move it or cancel it did it ever occur to you that the older generation are the ones staying at home and watching Tv I wish you would reconsider and give Las Vegas and Tom Selleck an opportunity to make this show greater than it already is or at least give us a decent burial and end it properly

I am very disappointed with the cancellation of La Vegas. Get rid of the reality shows and keep this one!

I agree, get rid of the stupid reality shows and bring back the shows we love "Las Vegas". We need more shows like this and a longer season.

My wife and I plan our week around Las Vegas! It's the best show on TV. Please bring it back!!!
Posted by: Billy | August 18, 2008 at 12:29 AM
Nooooo! I just looked this up to see what the scoop was, when the new season would start, etc. Any word, did enough people send baby booties? I think it's a little late now to send, considering I just found out about this! WHY CAN'T THIS STUFF BE MADE MORE PUBLIC? If people knew, they'd be p.o.'d!
Posted by: Chickie | August 20, 2008 at 01:29 AM
This show was amazing, how can these people get rid of something so great.. God i hate TV Stations

No, I have been waiting for it to come back on only to find it's not! Why can't they leave the good shows alone.

I am sick of NBC. We loved Las Vegas. Thank goodness there are stations out there that know a good show when they have it. I will be tuning in elsewhere. Why watch NBC to find a good show. If it's any good they will cancel it.
Posted by: Patricia Wood | September 14, 2008 at 08:32 PM
One of the only shows NBC had left worth watching is now gone. I will PVR "Chuck" and skip the adverts, although if "Chuck" gets a loyal following, I'm sure they'll cancel that too on me.
I can't believe they'd cancel a quality show like Las Vegas, but produce shows like "The Biggest Loser", a remake of "Knight Rider" and "Law & Order". Cancel those three, put Las Vegas back on and have some cash left over....
A Nice Thank you to the fans of the show.

Please bring back Las Vegas! I agree with all of these comments- it was an EXCELLENT show. Very entertaining and something to look forward to. At least resolve the cliffhanger.

Would love to be there to support a come back of the show. It's Selleck at his best! Hollywood needs this kind of good show and audiences nationwide want LAS VEGAS!

Please reconsider your cancellation of "Las Vegas". I also agree with the comments that have been posted above. It was a great show. Please bring back Las Vegas, I also am a fan of Tom Selleck's. I was also a faithful Crossing Jordan viewer and miss both shows. Me and my husband found shows we enjoyed watching together and they are both gone.

C'mon "Las Vegas" producers, bring back the show! There's 1000's of faithful viewers who are waiting. We may decide that any new shows you work on in the future may not be worth watching.
