Oh no, Don, Betty's leaving you -- for Ken!

Madmenbarbie We've known from the first episode that Mad Men was much more than an odd little show about a forgotten corner of the 1960s that airs on a high-number cable channel better known for screening old movies. But now it's official: Mad Men has attained the highest conceivable status in American culture. Four Mad Men characters -- philandering advertising executive Don Draper, his icy blonde wife Betty, his drunken boss Roger Sterling, and their voluptuous office manager Joan Holloway -- have been immortalized as Barbie dolls. When Mattel ships them to stores in July, you can take them home for $75 a pop, martini shakers not included. Wanna bet that when the fourth Mad Men season rolls out later this year, we discover that Don was the guy who came up with the immortal slogan, "You can tell it's Mattel -- it's swell!"
