Marlins face knuckleballer Dickey

NEW YORK -- The Marlins have won six games in a row against the Mets since their opening day loss here at CitiField. But to win a seventh they'll have to conquer knuckleballer R.A. Dickey tonight and the Marlins haven't had too much success lately against those kind of pitchers.

Dodgers right-hander Charlie Haeger had his way with the Marlins back on April 11th. He struckout 12 and allowed just three hits and three earned runs over six innings before the Marlins rallied against the Dodgers bullpen to pull off a 6-5 win. Haeger has been battered ever since.

Twice in spring training the Marlins faced Boston's Tim Wakefield and both times they struggled. In three starts since being called-up from Triple Buffalo on May 19th, Dickey is 2-0 with a 2.84 ERA. He's tamed the Phillies, Nationals and Brewers -- giving up no more than four earned runs in any of those starts.
