I'm Dreaming Of A Warm Christmas

Speculation time, boys and girls.

Let's play "Which Bowl Game Do You Want FIU To Attend?"

With the way the Sun Belt Conference is flushing out, there's a pretty good likelihood that FIU would be one of three bowl-eligible conference teams, if the Panthers get to 6-6. The others, in my estimation, will be Troy and Arkansas State (with Middle Tennessee still a strong possibility, considering the Raiders finish with UNT, WKU, FAU and FIU, and ULM still an outside shot).

With possibly more bowl games than eligible teams, 6-6 is looking awfully likely like enough to get in, and if two Big Ten teams make a BCS bowl, the Little Caesars in Detroit (yes, Detroit), would be on the table. Of course, the bowls with Sun Belt commitments are the New Orleans Bowl and the GoDaddy.com (formally GMAC) Bowl.

Other possibilities include St. Pete Bowl and Compass Bowl in Birmingham.

Personally, the idea of driving four fours West a few days before Christmas is the most appealing to me. But playing after New Year's (as is the case with GoDaddy.com) might be best for the program. One thing we can all agree on, right? No Motown.

Thoughts?
