ST. LOUIS -- The Florida Panthers Foundation and Feeding South Florida will be collecting non-perishable and canned goods at the next two Panthers games: Saturday against Pittsburgh Penguins (Sidney Crosby?) and Monday against Pete DeBoer's New Jersey Devils.
You can deliever your food -- they are hoping for rice, beans (dry or canned), canned tuna/chicken, canned fruits, canned veggies, mac and cheese (me too!) and plastic containers of peanut butter and jellies -- at the main gates.
Luckily, a lot of this stuff is on sale at Publix. A lot of 2-for-1 deals. That's double the stuff you can bring. Cool, right?
As a bonus, fans who bring food receive a 20% discount on merchandise at wherever Pantherland is located these days.
And as an extra special bonus, one fan will walk away with a very limited edition Brian Campbell autographed can of Campbell's Soup each night.
Will it be chicken noodle or will it be tomato? No one knows!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
