Florida Panthers: Tuesday Afternoon Notebook with the Coyotes

The Coyotes are in town to close out the Panthers four game homestand.

With a win, the Panthers will match their previous four-game Sunrise stand by getting seven of eight points.

Not going to come easy though. The Panthers have played 12 straight one-goal home games. Anyone expecting a blowout on either side tonight? Anyone?

-- Bill Thomas is back to being an official member of the Panthers after signing a pro-rated one-year deal with the Cats.

Thomas, who played well during his time with Florida last year, wasn't offered an NHL deal during the offseason and ended up signing an AHL deal with the Panthers. Florida had to sign him to an NHL deal to bring him up. It's a two-way.

Thomas said that the honesty Dale Tallon and Mike Santos have shown in recalling players who deserve it was a big reason he signed with the Rampage.

He's happy to be back and knows it's a much different situtation than the last time he was with the Panthers.

Them being in first place and all.

-- Jose Theodore didn't participate in Tuesday's optional skate.

He's still starting tonight though.
