Wednesday's Florida Panthers Notebook: Hartford Whalers Edition (Now with MORE Brass Bonanza!)

NotebookNot a whole lot going on today, although the potential John Madden signing (see below) is a nice low-risk move a beat-up Panthers team should make.

I hear it's just a matter of time before this is done.

Stephen Weiss and Mikael Samuelsson practiced before the Panthers workout in Coral Springs today and, as Dale Tallon alluded to, both could be back either this weekend or for the game in New York after the New Years.

I could see Weiss playing in at least one of the upcoming weekend games.

-- Nothing else really happened today. Ed Jovanovski wasn't on the ice (off day) and coach Kevin Dineen had to split for a doctor's appointment.

Will ask him how he liked hearing 'Brass Bonanza' during Tuesday's win tomorrow.
