Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer's take on his Sports Illustrated cover

SIMeyer GAINESVILLE -- OK, so I'm sure everyone has seen Sports Illustrated's cover for its Southeastern Conference preview magazine. It's Urban Meyer looking a little un-Urban Meyer.

When I saw the cover, the first thing I thought was, "How the heck did they get Meyer to do that?" Professionally, Meyer isn't exactly a flashy fellow. Then my next thought was, "When I ask Meyer a question on the first day of practice should I slide my sunglasses down the bridge of my nose?" I quickly decided against that.

Anyway, here is Meyer's story about his SI cover.

"The guy took like 20 pictures and at the end he said, 'Hey, just one time, can you take a picture with your sunglasses?' I said, 'No, I'm not doing it.' He said, 'Come on, it's just for me.' I said, 'No I'm not going to do one. OK, one picture.' And that's the one they used."
