GAINESVILLE -- Florida offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier isn’t going anywhere.
According to multiple reports, Nussmeier is no longer interested in the vacant head coaching job at Southern Miss and will return to UF for another season.
#Florida OC Doug Nussmeier who was considered the top candidate to be new head coach at #SoMiss is staying at #UF, source told @FOXSports

Feldman added in a story that “Nussmeier didn’t feel like the situation at USM was the right fit.”
Nussmeier -- who interviewed for the opening sometime last week -- presided over the nation’s No. 112th ranked unit, but his return gives the Gators some much-needed continuity heading into Jim McElwain’s second season in Gainesville.
The report comes just five days before National Signing Day and also allows UF to avoid searching for its seventh OC since 2008.
