E-mail to Gay South Florida: John Paulus "stands by" Clay Aiken claim

An e-mail received early this morning from John Paulus: It's unfortunate that in their desperation, Clay Aiken fans would take a sarcastic retort that I made in response to their ludicrous assertion and construe it as a statement of fact. Again, there was never a legitimate recant made by me nor will there be. I stand by the story as reported by the National Enquirer and as told by me on the Howard Stern Show. Clay Aiken had an opportunity to address the claims I made back in January 2006, but declined. Instead his management and publicist refused comment when asked by several media outlets if the allegations were true. In interviews back in September 2006 with Diane Sawyer, and Larry King, when questioned whether or not he was gay, Clay Aiken declined an opportunity to provide a direct yes or no answer. In an interview given to 'People Magazine' in the Fall of 2006 he was once again asked the question and again he chose to equivocate and not give a definitive yes or no reply. His current refusal and equivocation to the question provide credibility to my assertions. Those using his 2003 Rolling Stones interview as evidence of his heterosexuality do so in desperation. -- Best John Paulus

John Paulus is not only a STALKER, but he is a liar and con-artist. The only truth this man has ever spoken was when he admitted that his 'meeting' with Clay was all a hoax. His own sister Tina Marie told a radio station that her brother was a nut, and he was obsessed.

It is pretty well known by those that were with Mr. Aiken on the night in question, that it was physically impossible for Mr. Aiken to have been anywhere in the vicinity of Paulus on the night that Paulus claimed he was. If you ever followed his blog from the start, you saw the story change constantly as people stated various lies and "wrong" information given by him, starting with how tall Clay was and how could a 6'1" man "hide" behind a shrimp of 5'5." He had no idea how tall Clay was. He thought he was 5'8" because that's what a gay profile he tried to claim as Clay said. The profile was not Clay, just as none of the other made-up ones are either. He also talked about how he could "see" Clay's eyes through his car window when he arrived, even though it was already dark, and a dark parking lot. How many people do you see through a dark car, on a dark night, in a dark lot? Not many. He also claimed on Stern's show that there was no lube used, until Stern said that was unbelieveable. So later on his blog he changed to say that he "DID INDEED" have a tube that just "happened" to be in gym bag.

Every claim he has made has changed with details since the beginning. He has posted tons of fake IMs and IMs that he had with a faker. He has posted numerous times that Clay was online at gay sites when in fact Clay was at that moment performing on stage in concerts, shows, attending plays, out of the country in a foreign Unicef location, and numerous other things.

He constantly claims inside information including such things as the AI Give Back special and how Clay was begging to be on and refused when in fact Clay was the honored guest at the same time as the show receiving an award and giving an acceptance speech across country in NY. Then he tried to claim Clay called that organization and asked if he could attend as a cover story. Sorry organizations don't set that up on a last minute phone call for cover as the claimed Clay's attendance was. The man lies about everything from Clay, to his own life and resources, his military record, how he got out of service, his failure to pay bills and what he owns. Anything can be researched and found, and it shows him to be a compulsive liar. In other words, he is a total psycho and providing him a forum is just not smart. He is a stalker to Clay and even his family, making threats against members, trying to initiate interaction with them, trying to act like he's friends and knows things.

I agree, show the recants from his own blog, with picture and all. Yeah, those lovely pictures everywhere on the web of him with no shirt, unzipped pants and even no pants. He really thinks he is good looking and sexy, when in fact he is pretty disgusting looking and getting pretty old to be acting like an idiot teenager with raging hormones.

John Paulus Finally Admits Lying About Clay Aiken Tryst

So John Paulus is a liar? Shocking! A little over a year ago the Post Chronicle published a series of articles defending the claims against American Idol runnerup Clay Aiken by Paulus and received a great deal of grief.

The Clay Aiken haters seemed determined to make the story John Paulus concocted true regardless of its validity.

We also published an exclusive interview with Paulus which you can read below.

After telling the National Enquirer about his alleged 90 minute bareback sex session with Clay Aiken and then posting photos of the alleged clean-up towel on his blog, John Paulus is now all of a sudden sorry about the whole story.

In a long-winded apology on his blog, Paulus claims to have had a come to Jesus meeting. He's apparently seen the light about his actions and not recently, but immediately after selling the dirt to the Enquirer, and his blog was never a tool to hurt Clay's career, but rather to fight back against his fans.

Like our friends at Queerty, "We wonder if his feelings of contrition got in the way of his performance in the porno he shot for Michael Lucas."

The Blog entry has since been removed but the Neutral Zone has the text.

They got money, positions, a tight, well organize network and can do just about anything without consequences "in the name of their man Clay". People are truly afraid of them and prefer to say nothing rather that face their wrath.

Mr. Paulus may not be a saint and is far from perfect, but the RCs (Rabid Claymates) I'm talking about, run circles around him when in comes to underhanded tactics, bullying, intimidation and harassment. In an unexpected turn of events, former Green Beret, John Paulus, said on his weblog earlier this morning that he lied about his alleged January 2, 2006 sexual tryst with Clay Aiken.

This comes after more than a year of passionate assertion, whereby Paulus was adamant that he had a sexual encounter with Aiken in a North Carolina hotel room. Paulus previously claimed Aiken engaged him in conversation on the “Big Muscle” gay website, and they subsequently met for sex. According to Paulus, he later felt rejected by Aiken after his attempts to contact Aiken were snubbed.

Consequently, Paulus talked to the tabloids and press alleging that he was in possession of a towel containing DNA evidence, IM chat transcripts, and incriminating nude webcam shots of Aiken. Paulus passed two lie detector tests for the National Enquirer, his initial contact.

As of March 2, 2007, John Paulus is singing a different tune. According to Paulus, he was recruited by a group of eight people in July of 2005 to carry out a plot to discredit Aiken’s straight-arrow image and portray him as a promiscuous homosexual. Paulus is claiming they located him from the “Big Muscle” gay website…

“They saw me there and that I was muscular, attractive, and from NC. and persuaded me to help them. So we worked out this scheme over 6 months and put it into place going over ever detail. I even took 3 prior lie detector test so that I could pass one by any media that gave me one.”

According to Paulus,
“… it was nothing but a story concocted by another Idols fans and I was nothing, but the front person in this scheme.”

What about the evidence previously offered up by Paulus? Said Paulus,

“Oh what about the cumrag? Used a prop. And the cell phone calls? They were calls made by “haters” to my phone. And the hotel room? There was really a room 207 and I really did check in and I did walk with someone into the room.” “Clay and I never met nor have we ever had sex.”

All of this begs the question, why would John Paulus participate in such a scheme and then cling to it so tenaciously for more than a year? Paulus explained,

“My only compensation was that they would get me in touch with Lucas to do porno.”

In his estimation, Paulus’ porn flick, for Lucas Entertainment, New York City, paid his bills for an entire year.

After Paulus initially went public with his allegations, last year, he claimed that some of Aikens’ fans (also known as Claymates) sent threatening emails and death threats, telephoned him at his job, and got him fired from his job, prompting him to contact the FBI for protection. An added incentive for Paulus to stick with his story, after his Lucas Entertainment deal, was…

“Because Claymates pissed me off and it was fun messing with them.”

He got his porn deal, he messed with the Claymates; so what caused John Paulus to do this sudden about face and claim that his liaison with Aiken was all part of a grand scheme in which he played only a small role? When asked, Paulus explained that his co-conspirators were offended by his apparently softening stance on Aiken, and he felt they were attempting to discredit him….

“Because when I told the haters I was over this and didn’t want to be a part of their game and I defended Clay by saying he looked good and happy on Kimmel they attacked me and said I was a traitor. I can not go on lying for them and destroying a good person.”

Amongst those, who Paulus alleged were involved, included an accused blog owner who goes by the name of “Percocet” and owns the “Clay Aiken Fraud Squad” blog, formerly named, “Rabid Claymates Exposed”. Percocet denied that she had any involvement in, or knowledge of, the “scheme” that Paulus spoke of.

“I am not, and to the best of my knowledge, noone on my blog is in any kind of cooperation with JP. It is becoming clear how insane he is. You can read his e-mails that he sent to me earlier tonight in my blog comments at 411. JP is just concocting a big story.”

Paulus went on to say,
“I’d be willing to have a press conference admitting that this was all a lie and that Clay and I never met nor did he ever solicit me for sex and that as far as I know he is straight.”

In a conciliatory tone, Paulus added,
“I hope that the Claymates will forgive me as Clay has.”

But like sands through the hourglass, no soap opera is ever over. Paulus has more to reveal,

“I will share more about this scheme put together by posters on the 411 over the weekend”
