Photo gallery | Singer-pianist Michael Feinstein's opening night in New York City

My partner, Ric Katz, and I attended singer/pianist Michael Feinstein's opening Tuesday night at his namesake cabaret at the Loews Regency Hotel. Feinstein appears through Sept. 6 at his club, performing selections from his new album, The Sinatra Project, with a 17-piece band.

Celebrities attending included columnist Rex Reed, singer Julie Budd, Judge Judy Scheindlin, public relations executive Ken Sunshine, stage and television director Richard Jay-Alexander of New York and Miami Beach, and Loews Hotels chairman and CEO Jonathan Tisch.
