GENEVA -- The U.N.'s top human rights official has urged countries to abolish legal discrimination against gays, including the death penalty for consensual sex.
Iran, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen have the death penalty for same-sex relationships on their statute books.
