Sizzle, the "ultimate urban getaway" for LGBT people of color has announced it is moving most of its events to South Beach on Memorial Day Weekend 2014.
For more than a decade, Sizzle was based in downtown Miami. Next year, it will move to the beach, CEO and founder Dwight Powell said.
"The change has generated a lot of excitement," Powell said.
From the sizzlesouthbeach.com website:
Twelve years ago, in the summer of 2002, special event planner Dwight Powell introduced the world to what’s considered to be one of the greatest events on earth – Sizzle.
Located in sunny, sexy Miami, Sizzle grew to become one of America’s most celebrated and anticipated urban event where the world’s party-seekers came to celebrate life, pride & liberty!
Beginning in 2014, we are happy to again, introduce you to another of America’s most exciting playgrounds, South Beach; aka SoBe or The Beach. A destination where beautiful weather, beautiful places and beautiful people abound. It’s so much more than an experience, but rather the place to be!!!
South Beach is truly one of the hottest places in the modern world, and we don't just mean temperature wise. During the next Memorial Day Weekend, prepare yourself for captivating daytime events and pulsating nightlife.
In 2014, the party kicks off on Thursday 22nd May thru the morning of Tuesday 27th May.
South Beach, Experience all of it!!!
Now why aren't they boycotting Florida and taking it elsewhere? Hypocrites!
