Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will shine the spotlight on many athletes during the spring and summer.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Every spring, you come across a few players who are flying way beneath the radar screen. Here is one of those rising prospects that many have not had the chance to watch.

At a school that hasn't had as a many larger schools come by this spring, they are truly missing out on this quality athlete among others.

If McTier's size doesn't pull you in, maybe his athletic ability and improving knowledge of the game will. This is a player who many are missing out on, and while his experience is not what you may be looking for, just watching him play and seeing what potential he has is what college have slowly have come to understand.

Just watching him compete against athletic players was all that was needed to say that this is a football talent who figures to climb the talent ladder as coaches watch him play and opponents starting talking him up.
