Having the opportunity to watch many of the athletes in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties when they begin playing football at the youth football level, the Miami Herald will continue to shine the spotlight on many athletes during the pre-spring, spring and summer.
With the chance to see the athletes away from the football field as well, we can bring you up close and personal with some of the top prospects in the nation - right here in our own backyard.
Don't forget that the exposure continues on FACEBOOK (Herald Recruiting) and via Twitter @ larryblustein.
PLAYER: Dinero Moss
YEAR: 2012
SCHOOL: Piper
CITY: Sunrise
POSITION: DB
HEIGHT: 5-11
WEIGHT: 185
HEAD FOOTBALL COACH: Thomas Marante
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Has made some major strides over the past year after turning heads at the end of his junior season.
A very athletic and quick corner, who gets in your pocket and makes plays. Considered by many as a player who is climbing the ladder quickly, and this off season has already watched him impress at the South Florida Express tryout and a few combine settings.
Had the pleasure of watching him compete against some impressive competition a number of times, and every time he used his athletic ability, quickness and knack of knowing how to play the position to come out on top.
College coaches we have talked to are very impressed with his cover skills and physical abilities. He has the opportunity to be very special in 2011.
