Elizabeth Amore has been promoted to executive director of media relations in the University of Miami's Division of University Communications. In her new post, she will oversee daily activities of the university’s central media relations staff. She has worked three years with UM's University Communications. She joined UM more than eight years ago, working at the medical campus with UM-Humana’s Health Services Research Center and the Diabetes Research Institute, where she helped to coordinate research studies. Before that, she worked at the Lowe Art Museum where she handled media communication, marketing and advertising.
